The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It had been almost two days since Regan had seen Vicente and so much had happened. She was actually really excited to tell him that she had finally decided to stay at the mansion permanently. This was a special evening filled with good news and good food, so she decided to get dressed up for this little occasion.
Regan rummaged in her closet for her black pleated mini skirt and put it on. The waistband resting just under her tail so if it moved it wouldn’t raise the back of her skirt causing everyone to see her furry rump. She then pulled out her forest green, strapless corset. It was made of silk and trimmed in gold colored fabric. A Celtic braid design was embroidered on it vertically in black thread. She wrapped it around her small form and closed the clasps in the front. The back was tied with a black silk ribbon that ended on the bottom with a large bow which trailed down her back. Sitting on the edge of her bed, she leaned over and slipped her furry feet into her black combat boots and laced them up. Clawed feet never fit well in any other type of shoe so that was the end of her dressing up.
Taking one last moment to look into the mirror, Regan tried to smile and look confidant, but that quickly faded into a frown as she took in her feline features. God how she hated how she looked, if only she could turn off her mutation and look like a human when she wanted to, things would be so much better. With a hefty sigh, Regan brushed a few strands of her vibrant red hair out of her face and brushed her clawed hands on her skirt to straighten it out. She grabbed the door handle and opened the door to her room and closed it behind her as she got into the hall. She hoped that she didn’t run into anyone on her way to the kitchen since she was all dressed up and someone might make fun of her since she lived in jeans and tank tops.
She quickly made her way to the kitchen and peeked inside to see if Vicente had beat her here or if she was the first to arrive.

The smell of all the blooms were so heavenly it was hard for Regan to pull away from them, but really she needed to get going. With a small sigh, she turned when she heard Vicente open the door and headed outside as he was being the gentleman that he was and held the door open for her.
Hitting the cold air once again, Regan stretched her arms over her head and smiled, oh how she loved the outdoors. She turned to smile at her large friend when he started to speak. He then pulled the same little trick on her that she had pulled on him not too long ago, and started running to the mansion.
“Hey!” she said with a giggle as she let him get a head start. She smirked to herself for a moment and watched him before letting out a loud roar and bolting off after him on all fours. This time, she just might let him win.

The sound of Jacob’s voice talking to her snapped Regan out of her panicked stupor. She looked up at Jacob and forced a meek smile across her lips. That was pretty considerate of Jacob to go through all the trouble of trying to arrange for the bankers to come to them instead of her having to go out into the city. She sighed softly and let her shoulders relax slightly. “Do you think they would be willing to do that for me?” Regan would feel much more comfortable if the bankers were willing to come to them, and she hoped that they wouldn’t be afraid of her or shun her because of how she looks.
Grateful for Joe’s help, Regan took the phone back in her clawed hand and smiled softly. “Thank you Joe, I really appreciate all you have done for me.” She nodded and watched the older man go back into the garage to finish up whatever it was he needed to do.
It wasn’t long after Joe had left that Jacob expressed how he thought that Regan should get out into the world and the thought made her shudder. Sure he had offered to help her, but he had no idea what she had been through, no idea how it felt to be a monster. She tried to lower her eyes again, but Jacob made sure to lock onto her green orbs when stating the last part of his statement. The sooner the better, he said. What was he thinking? She raised a brow and slightly tilted her head to the side for a moment. “Jacob, do you have any fraction of an idea of how it feels to look like this?” she said returning his locked stare. “You have no idea how it feels to have everyone staring at you like you are a total freak. I can hear their hearts start racing in their chests when I walk into view. I hear the gasps, the rude and asinine comments that are said under their breath. You might not be able to hear it, but I sure can, and I hear them all, every single one of them, all at once, the joys of feline hearing.” A slight growl escaped her lips at the end of that statement. It wasn’t directed at Jacob, it was directed at herself and how much she hated what she was. She was angry but also hurt that she was dealt such a crappy hand in the card game of life. Unable to contain herself right now, the memories of her past flooding her mind, she turned from Jacob’s gaze and started to sob softly in her clawed hands. “You don’t know what it’s like.” She said again in a whisper, muffled by the furry hands that covered her feline face.
A fanged grin crossed over Regan’s lips as Butterfly confirmed that Regan indeed had found the right area. She beamed rather proudly and stood up a little straighter then she usually did. “Oh you are very welcome Butterfly. I’m just glad I was able to help you out. You can make it back to your place ok from here?” She turned to face Butterfly as she spoke to her.
Regan peeked out back through the trees and ducked back as a few people started to walk by. That was a little too close for comfort for her and it made her shudder slightly. She really didn’t want to go out into view, but she wasn’t going to leave Butterfly stranded in a neighborhood that she might get lost in instead of finding her way back to her apartment.
Playing was one of Regan’s favorite things to do when she had free time, though it was always more fun when she had someone to play with. Today left Regan to play on her own. She bounded onto the trees, giggling to herself as her clawed hands pressed into the cold snow. The sun came through the trees in sporadic rays that danced as the breeze played with the upper branches of the trees.
Regan flopped down in the snow on her back and giggled as she flailed about making a snow angel. She stopped after a while and sighed happily as she stared up into the sky. Life was going quite well right now, she had her two jobs, a nice home at the mansion, and her new friends. She couldn’t really ask for more and this beautiful day was an added gift to her current good fortune. With that thought, she hopped up out of the snow and decided it was time to find a tree to climb.
Bounding off further into the woods, Regan ran at a decent pace on all fours, dodging and weaving through the trees. Suddenly Regan slammed to a halt like she had hit a brick wall. Her sensitive feline nose picked up the heavy scent of blood and the scent of another large predator in the area. Panic filled her emerald eyes as her feline ears flicked about trying to locate the large animal, but it was to no avail. Her eyes darted around and she spotted a large tree to her left and she quickly headed towards it. Using her sharp claws on her hands, she gripped the bark of the tree and quickly pulled herself up the tree to perch on a branch where she could get a better view of the area. Her green eyes scanned the area below looking for any signs of movement.
Regan watched Sara closely as she worked her way around the stag’s leg joint and cut free some of the meat and placed it on the table. Regan grabbed it and started to slice it up with her knife into more manageable portions and then placed them into the freezer bags. She giggled over her shoulder as Sara mentioned that she had gotten used to Chinese take-out. “I don’t think I have ever had Chinese take-out to be honest, I might have to try it someday.” Regan was sure it sounded odd, but other than hunting for herself, given scraps of meat when she was in the cage, and eating what the cooks prepared for her once she was living with her “Father”, she had never really eaten anything else.
Still cutting and packing the meat that Sara kept putting on the table, Regan’s own ears flicked back to listen to Sara. Her earrings clanked together as she swiveled them back and forth. She listened to Sara speak and then trail off for a moment before finishing her thought. She pondered it for a few moments and gave a slight nod in agreement, thought she was sure Sara didn’t see it since they were back to back at the moment. “That’s true, sometimes that is simpler.” Regan knew full well that being alone was simpler for everyone because of her mutation, but the human part of her craved company and human interaction and that made her being alone more complicated since her loneliness would make her give in to her saber tooth and put everyone in danger. “It can also make things more complicated in certain situations. I think everyone needs someone to look to in the world, someone they can trust and lean on when times are tough. No one should be entirely alone.”
It was such a bright and sunny day out and Regan had spent the morning toiling in the greenhouse. She had come inside and cleaned up before deciding to take a little nap. Looking around her room she was very unsatisfied with the lack of sun, so she wandered out to see if the living room was going to be more promising.
Entering the living room, Regan smiled as she spotted a quiet sofa in the corner by the window with a perfect sunbeam coming through. She quickly skipped over to the sofa and hopped onto it with a soft purr. She fluffed the throw pillow that was on it and placed it under her head before curling up into a ball. Her long tail curled up around her body and she clasped it in her clawed hand. The warm sun felt wonderful on her soft fur and it heated her to the core which in turn made her purr even louder. Satisfied with this perfect spot, she slowly drifted off into a pleasant sleep.
…….
The sweet slumber was suddenly interrupted by someone who flopped down on top of her! Regan screeched, “MEEEERRRRRROOOOOOOW!!” and scrambled out from under the person who had sat on her. Her strength easily moved the person on top of her off of her as she scrambled off of the sofa and into the corner. Her claws skittered on the wood floor as she tried to get a grip; she skidded to a stop and backed up into the corner of the room. Her long tail puffed up as she sat on her haunches in the corner and hissed at the perpetrator. The tigress’s emerald eyes darted around as she tried to focus on the person who had spooked her.
It was a warm, sunny day for winter and Regan wasn't about to let it go to waste. She looked out of her window in her room and decided to get dressed and head outside. The white tiger with vibrant green stripes and shocking red hair padded over to her dresser and pulled out a pair of faded blue jeans and a light green tank top. She got dressed and slipped her clawed feet into her combat boots and laced them up before heading out of her room and down the hall to go outside.
As soon as she opened the door, Regan closed her eyes and inhaled the fresh winter air through her pink feline nose. The smell of air was fresh and clean and it made Regan smile. It was days like today that made Regan’s soul feel alive. She always had a zest for life, but beautiful days sparked an extra bit of life in her and she became the playful kitten that was held deep inside her heart.
Shutting the door behind her, Regan turned towards the forested area that framed the edge of the grounds. With a fanged grin on her lips, Regan dropped to all fours and ran towards the trees, today was going to be a day to climb some trees and roll around in the snow.
A frown crossed over her lips as Joe gave her a flash of reality. She had lived such a sheltered life so far, hidden from the world for her protection and for the world’s protection from her, but that left her in a rather sticky situation. Jacob said that he would sign over an extra bank account into her name, but that she was going to have to go into the bank and sign papers. This job was making her life very difficult right now and she really wasn’t sure what to do.
She shuffled in her seat and glued her eyes to the floor. “I guess.” Is all she could say to Jacob in a very small voice as he turned to shout into the garage and ask what was for lunch for the day. She heard another man shout back in about Subway but didn’t move. She just stayed slumped in her chair at the desk with her eyes locked onto the floor, trying to think about how she was going to manage going to the bank and being out in the public. It made her stomach tie itself into a knot and she wrapped her arms around herself, trying not to get so worked up that she’d get end up getting sick in front of everyone.
Giving Butterfly a small smile and a nod in thanks for her condolences, Regan kept leading the way through the woods, looking back to make sure that Butterfly was never too far behind her. The sounds of snow and twigs crunched and snapped under their feet as they walked. Regan sniffed the air and adjusted her direction so she was headed the right way. Different parts of the city had slightly different smells so Regan could get an idea of where she needed to go by scent.
They had been in the woods for a long while when they finally reached the edge of the woods. Regan peeked through the bushes and tree branches to see if this was the area that Butterfly described. She pulled back the branches and looked at Butterfly. “Does this look like the right place to you?”
Regan giggled and beamed proudly as the men took in the abundance of plant life that she cared for. Mariusz quickly worked his way through the greenhouse and investigated the plants along the way. Jacob was standing fairly still and looked almost in awe.
Mariusz asked if Regan would be able to grow some edelweiss and she nodded. “I should be able to. I will need to get some soil that is rich in limestone and get some seeds. I won’t be able to mimic the altitude that they prefer, but I’ll sure give it a shot for you Mariusz.” She walked over to the workbench where she kept a notepad and scribbled down some notes as to what she was going to need to order so she could get the edelweiss growing as soon as possible.
She looked over at Jacob when he mentioned how he thought the greenhouse was amazing. “Why thank you Jacob. I’m glad you like it. If there are any specific plants here that you like, let me know and I will bring some of them to the shop for you.”
Regan let out another nervous giggle when Vicente said her hug was warm. She nodded her head in agreement because it was warm indeed. It had been a long time since she had felt the warmth of someone else against her fur and it was a nice feeling.
A soft smile crossed over Regan’s lips and she nodded at Vicente. “Ok, let’s go get me signed up, remember you promised to get me a good room.” She giggled softly and turned to take in one last glance of the beauty of the greenhouse. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath through her pink nose, taking in all the smells one more time. Enhanced senses were so nice sometimes, even standing by the door, Regan could smell all of the flowers like she had her face stuffed into a bouquet.
She turned back to Vicente and smiled. She rocked on her heels a few times while she waited for Vicente to lead the way back to the mansion and then to the office so she could get signed up for a temporary stay at the mansion. Once she had some time to get acquainted with the mansion and the people here, she could make her final decision as to whether to stay here for good.
Hey guys, I have a pretty hectic weekend ahead so I don't know when I will get a chance to post, will try to sneak some in when I can, if not, I'll get back to you all hopefully on Monday! Have a great weekend!!

Watching the girl slipping in and out of her sleepy state, Regan’s green eyes searched her face for signs of her waking up. Finally she opened her eyes and started to speak, but it was making no sense at all. A plant kid in the greenhouse, what was she talking about? Regan tried to sooth the girl with a soft purr that rumbled in her chest. “Is that why you were in the greenhouse? Looking for a plant kid?” Regan wondered what the heck she was talking about since there was no plant kid in the greenhouse, but simple questions seemed to be the way to go about things right now.
Regan waited for the girl to answer her questions and continued to try and sooth her as she started to come back to reality. She wondered if the girl was a student here at the mansion, or if she lived here, and if not, what the heck was she doing out here? She sighed softly and watched the girl closely. She thought that she should maybe offer the girl more comfort somehow. Maybe if she told the girl her name that would help? “I’m Regan. What’s your name?” She smiled softly and waited for her to reply.
