The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hearing the little screech that Rebecca made as she hopped up on the table made Regan’s pierced feline ears flick forward. She giggled a little and smiled while still keeping her eyes on the floor. “Sorry about that, it should warm up in here soon. They put plastic over the windows so that should help.” She pointed with her thumb over her shoulder at the plastic.
Once she was rather settled, Regan unrolled a few sheets of the paper towel and folded them up. She walked over to Rebecca’s cut leg and carefully tucked the paper towel under her thigh so as not to scratch her with one of her claws. She rolled up the apron just enough to expose the cut clearly and finally smiled while looking up at Rebecca. “Good news, it’s not that bad, but it still needs to be cleaned. Can you hold the apron there for me please?”
She went back and got the saline solution as she listened to Rebecca talk about getting back together with her girlfriend. She cracked open the bottle and grabbed some clean gauze before walking back over to Rebecca’s leg. “Well that’s good to hear. I’m glad to hear that, it’s always good to be with someone you love.” She flashed Rebecca a sincere smile and then placed the gauze just below the cut. “This will most likely be cold so brace yourself.” She gave Rebecca a moment and then poured the solution over the cut to flush out any dirt or debris that may have gotten in. She then dabbed the gauze that had soaked up some of the solution, over the cut to pat off any leftover solution and blood. “There you go, the worst part is over, now let’s get that wrapped up.”

Regan noticed the change in the question and smiled. “I am enjoying my first day so far. It’s been pretty eventful and it’s not even lunch time yet.” Regan giggled as she thought about the little girl and her mother and how she had helped them with their little situation. She was also really proud of her work, she had managed to organize a total disaster of random sticky notes. She was feeling quite comfortable here at the shop and the employees. Everyone here seemed pretty good about having her here and so far no one had treated her like a freak, which was refreshing.
It was about then that Joe had poked back in asking how she wanted to pay for her service. She wasn’t really sure and she tapped a clawed finger on her lips for a moment. “Well considering I don’t have a bank account or email address, a paper bill sent to the mansion’s address is most likely the best choice. Then I can send them the cash for it in the mail.” She grabbed another sticky note from the desk and a pen and scribbled down the address of the mansion for Joe so he could set it up with the carrier. She really hoped that this was going to be a good idea, now she had a slight paper trail in her name and she hoped that her paper work that her “Father” had given her would be legitimate in the end.

Regan giggled as Butterfly said that she didn’t need to be spoiled, but really it was like being spoiled for someone who didn’t have the things that the mansion provided them. It was a luxury that many people too for grated in life, to have their basic needs met. Regan knew that Butterfly would appreciate it as much as she did.
Regan nodded and understood what Butterfly was saying. She was hoping that they would be able to find her place without having to leave the cover of the woods, but she would make sure that Butterfly got back to her apartment safely even if she had to expose herself to the public eye.
Smiling softly as Butterfly broke the hug and whipped away her tears, Regan could understand what she was going through. “Well I’m glad you were able to find your brother. I really know how you feel, I don’t have any family at all. I have only had one person in my life that I could consider family and now he’s gone. I’m lucky enough to have been taken in by the people here at the mansion and made a few friends, but no one particularly close to me so far. Maybe that will change though.” She said it with a warm smile and turned to the woods, “Come on, we better get going before it gets too dark for you to be able to see.”

Regan noticed that Mariusz was rather silent all of a sudden and she hoped that he was alright. She looked back at him and placed her clawed hand on his upper arm, offering him a warm smile. It was a small gesture and offered some comfort if he needed it, if not, it was still a kind act.
She lead the way to the greenhouse and laughed at Jacob’s little joke and just shook her head. “You sure are funny Jacob. I think the plants will be just fine.” She rummaged around in her pockets for the keys and unlocked the door. Stepping in she turned on the lights and welcomed the men into the warmth of the greenhouse. Plants of all kinds were all around the greenhouse, local and exotic flowers were there as well as a larger box that held a vegetable garden. “Come on in guys, don’t worry the plants and I won’t bite you.” She laughed and motioned them in.

Regan felt Vicente’s large arms wrap around her small form and pat her back. She was so happy to be here right now. He asked if she would stay and she looked up at him, still hugging him for the moment. “Well, I’ll tell you what, I will definitely give it some consideration. Maybe I could do a temporary stay? You know, to see if I will actually like being here before I go and sign up permanently?” As much as she loved the tour and the greenhouse so far, she was still apprehensive and unsure if she would truly fit in here. If she could at least get a temporary pass to stay and try it out before making her full decision, then she wouldn’t feel so bad if she had to just up and leave the place all of a sudden.
She searched his face for an answer, her emerald eyes darting over every inch. She finally settled her eyes on his dark brown ones and admired them with a soft smile. She couldn’t help but let out a little sigh as she got a little lost in them for a moment. Suddenly realizing that she was still wrapped around Vicente, she quickly shook her head to free herself from the pull of those brown eyes. She released Vicente from her embrace and looked a little bashful for having held onto him for so long of a time. Regan giggled a little nervously and tried to give him a soft smile. She was glad she was covered in fur right now because her face was hot from the blush that was burning her cheeks. “Heh, sorry about that.” She said apologizing for having hugged him for so long. She was never good with social interactions and she was hoping that this little moment of awkwardness didn’t ruin their new friendship.

Regan was slightly shocked to find out where Butterfly had been sleeping and that she had a brother as well. She wondered for a moment why her brother hadn’t taken her somewhere safer to stay, but then again, she supposed he had at least tried a little. “Well once you come back home, you will feel like a princess here Butterfly, you’ll see.” She said with a warm smile. She couldn’t imagine sleeping out in the cold with no fur to keep her warm, the thought made her shudder.
Regan smiled as Butterfly lit up at the news of her place being closer then she had thought. She nodded but looked a little concerned. “Well I can lead you to the area, but I would like to stay in the woods and out of view of the public if at all possible. I really don’t do well when everyone starts staring at me.” She shuffled her feet a little in the snow and looked at the ground. “But I suppose I could try and venture out if you really need me to.”
Watching Butterfly tear up all of a sudden made Regan fear she had said something wrong, but just as suddenly she had pulled the feline in for a tight hug and told her she was always going to be her friend as well. Regan hugged her back and patted her softly as she started to cry. “It’s ok Butterfly.” She wasn’t exactly sure what was making her cry, but she was glad that Butterfly could find comfort in her new furry friend.

Looking into Tses’s eyes, Regan saw the empty shell she was at the moment. There was no flicker of life or happiness, no spark of a spirit, just dead, empty pain. She needed help, but how do you help someone who doesn’t want it? Maybe she does want the help but she doesn’t know how to ask? Regan’s head was filling up with so many questions to ask, it was when Tses started to speak that she snapped out of her thoughts. Regan just shook her head, Tses was a messed up mind right now. Trying to figure her out was like trying to put two puzzles together at the same time, but all of the pieces were mixed together in one box. It made her head hurt.
Suddenly she heard the cracking of bones and pained groans behind her. Amber was shifting back to her human self. Regan didn’t watch her out of respect. She had seen the robes on the floor, she knew that she would be naked when she had finished. It didn’t sound very pleasant either, so the least she could do was allow Amber the dignity of not having someone staring at her and Regan knew all too well what someone staring felt like. She could hear Amber’s teeth chattering as she shivered in the cold winter air. Instinctively Regan stood up and took off her black hooded sweater and offered it to Amber for the extra warmth. Regan had her thick fur so she knew she’d be alright.
Without much warning, Amber snapped at Tses’s herself and frankly, she did have every right to. Tses was hurting in some way and for some reason, but there was no reason to be lashing out like she was. Regan nodded in agreement with Amber and then looked back to Tses. “Amber is right once again. All of this didn’t need to happen.” She waved her clawed hands around at the tree and in the general area around them. “You are obviously pretty lost and broken right now, but instead of asking for some help, you lash out and try to get yourself killed.” Regan was getting rather exasperated at this point and she wiped a clawed hand over her feline face. “Look, you might not know us from a hole in the wall, and you have no idea what we have been through in our lives, but maybe, just maybe we have been through something like what you are going through. I’m pretty sure that both Amber and I are willing to try and understand, heck even willing to try and help, but not if you are going to try and blow us up for no damn reason.”

Leading Butterfly back out to the front yard, Regan listened to the description of the area that she lived in. She frowned when Butterfly said she was living in a condemned building and let out a hefty sigh. That was no place to live, that wasn’t a safe place to live, but she knew that Butterfly was coming back; she would finally be safe then. “I have a vague idea where that is, I think it’s just across the woods and over a bit. I don’t think you are as far as you think you are.” She laughed and pointed out at the woods a few feet away from them.
Regan gave Butterfly another soft smile, she nodded her feline head and grabbed her hand with her furry one and gave it a squeeze. “I’m glad you had a good time, it sure is a great place. I think you will be happy here.” She giggled and gave her hand another squeeze. “You’ve always got a friend in me Butterfly.”

Listening some more as the men spoke about the after school club that could be done at the auto shop, Regan smiled and thought about how much fun the students would have learning about cars. She would also really look forward to seeing the kids at the shop, to help them feel comfortable around humans, and for humans to feel comfortable around them. The shop was sounding more and more like a safe place to be mutants, Jacob was quite the guy it would seem. She looked at him and gave him an admirable smile.
She turned her head to Mariusz as he talked about leaving the garage and heading to the greenhouse. She nodded and headed out of the door to the cold winter air. The breeze ruffled her fur and she smiled. Outdoors was her favorite place to be and it always showed on her face once she had stepped back outside. She giggled at Jacob’s comment and shook her head. “I doubt that you could do that just by touching one of the plants. They are pretty hardy if you just know how to take care of them.” She waited for the men to exit the garage and closed the door behind them.
As soon as Vicente’s large form moved out of the doorway, Regan ran inside and started to look around. There were plants everywhere, all different kinds and even a vegetable garden. This cat was in heaven! She giggled as she ran from one plant box to the next, taking in all of the wonderful floral scents. Her pink feline nose was in overdrive as it wiggled with every sniff, taking in every floral scent. This was the most wonderful place in the world and there was no other place she would rather be right now.
The sound of Vicente’s voice snapped her out of her little world and she looked over at him with a big, fanged grin. She spun around on her heels in a circle with her arms extended and laughed before looking back at him once again. “This is Eden! I love it here!” She bounced around and giggled as she took in more of the plant life that surrounded them. After a few more minutes of giggles and squeals of joy, Regan came running back out from behind a grouping of plants. She ran up to Vicente and wrapped her arms around him, giving him a big squeeze. Her small form hid the strength she actually had. Her furry face was pressed against his chest; her eyes closed listening to the beating of his heart. Her long tail curled up in the air behind her and with a soft purr, all she said was, “Thank you Vicente.”

Regan smiled a small smile as Jacob understood her needs. He mentioned and motioned to the sign on the wall stating that the employees could refuse to serve someone if they were not treated with respect. She liked that Jacob wanted to have his employees feel comfortable while on the job, it meant a lot to her. She nodded in thanks and stayed silent for the moment. She thought about the past, about being locked up in that cage and on display for all those eyes to judge her, to make fun of her, to look at her with fear. She wanted to be able to walk freely amongst the world, but that was a big step away. Working here at the shop was at least a baby step into that direction.
Regan snapped out of her train of thought as Joe came back in and got her phone chip ready. She giggled through her clawed hand as he tried to be polite and not cuss in front of her; he must have considered her to be a lady and not just a mutant cat, that thought made her smile. She watched Joe head back outside and turned to look at Jacob as he started to speak once again. She smiled and gave a little nod. “That’s alright, I don’t know anything about cell phones so I appreciate whatever you guys can set up for me.” She smiled again as he asked about her day so far. “It’s been pretty good, I got all of your clients organized and scheduled into the computer, assigned a mechanic to each job, and even made up a form for new customers to fill out while they wait so I can enter them into our database easier.” She sat quite proudly in her seat and smiled a big fanged grin hoping that Jacob would approve.

Regan couldn’t help but frown a little as Butterfly said she had to go, but she understood. She was just really enjoying some female company for once. So far everyone that she had met was male, and as nice as they were to be around, having a female around to giggle and chat with was so much fun. “Sure I can lead you out. You will just need to let me know where about you need to go so I can lead you in the right direction.”
Regan waved goodbye to the lady at the desk and headed back into the hallway to start heading back towards the front door. She was glad to know that Butterfly was coming back, and she had promised that she would. For Regan, a promise was always kept after it was made. She believed Butterfly would be back and she was honestly quite excited for her to come back. They could have a wonderful time in the greenhouse together, or sneaking down to the kitchen to make midnight snack. The possibilities were endless of all the fun they could have together here at the mansion and it made Regan grin.

Regan smiled and let a small sigh of relief escape her lips as the men figured out a way to set up her phone without her having to go into the city. She was grateful for that in so many ways. As Joe walked out and Jacob posed the question, she gulped a little in her throat and averted her eyes to the floor. She picked her words carefully as she spoke. “I should be fine here, I’m hoping. I just have some issues with people staring at me. I get panicky and uncomfortable. For the most part I can push it back if I need to, but if it gets to be too much, I’ll just step outside in the back for a bit of fresh air.”
She didn’t think that the shop would be too problematic given it wasn’t huge where tons of people would have their eyes glued to her the entire time she was working. There were only so many places to sit and surely not everyone that came in would be looking at her like a freak. She hoped that more people like Meranda and her mother frequented here instead of the ones that wanted her and her kind eradicated from the face of the earth. Looking up and seeing the slight concern in his eyes, Regan plastered on a smile and tried to look as confidant as she could. “If I’m having any problems, I will call you to the front and take a moment to step out and get some air, I promise.” Her word was bond. She never made a promise unless she could keep it, and she would know if she needed Jacob to come relieve her for a few minutes so she could get her wits about her again.

Regan stood silently and listened once again as the men spoke about the cars and the different ideas they were thinking about. She agreed with them both that the idea was a good one to have a program for the students to learn more about their cars and to do basic repairs themselves. “That’s a good idea Mariusz, I’m sure the students would love to have an auto shop program or club of some sort. I’m sure the boys would like it the most.” she said with a giggle and rocked on her heels.
Looking to Jacob she placed a clawed finger on her lip and tapped it as she thought about it for a few minutes. Having all the resources of the shop would most likely be an even better idea and more convenient for Jacob as well. “That sounds like a good plan as well, I’m sure when you find the person in charge to talk to about the jet and the room, you could ask them about your program idea as well. I don’t see it being flat out rejected since it’s a rather good idea.”

Regan held the cell phone in her clawed hands for a few minutes and just stared at it, she wasn’t sure what to do with it to be quite honest. She had never owned a cell phone before. She was still lost in thought when Jacob called Joe in and she didn’t even notice that he was now in the room with them until he started to talk. “Ummm I have no idea what a carrier is, or how I would know if I have a good signal. I have never owned one of these before.” She was clearly quite embarrassed by that statement and she looked down at the floor while she spoke. She wasn’t sure what to do right now, so she readjusted herself in her seat a few times.
Finally looking up she smiled softly at Joe and figured out why he had that creepy smile going on earlier in the morning. The thought made her smirk and she gave him a playful glare. There was just problem with this whole set up. If she was going to have to go into the city to set up her phone, there was no way she would actually go there. She would be having panic attacks from all of the eyes staring at her, and that could end up in big trouble for the innocent people that couldn’t help but stare at her. “Would someone be able to set it up for me? I can’t handle going into the city.”
