The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Regan watched Tses’s face go through a wide range of emotions as Amber spoke to her. Her body language softened, was less hostile then it had been. Regan’s ears perked up as she focused on Tses. She could see Amber out of the corner of her eye, she was getting a tad frustrated herself but she was keeping her head on straight which was good.
Finally Tses started to speak, finally opened up to them. She was comparing herself to a wounded bird, and it was a good comparison. But here she was, the wounded bird with two predators standing around here and trying to help her instead of trying to eat her. She wanted to say something, but she kept herself quiet for the moment seeing as she was on a roll and letting everything that she could out right now, she’d put her two cents in after.
Tses continued and admitted that she only wanted to hurt herself and offered Regan an apologetic look. Regan gave her a slight nod back in thanks but kept a slight frown on her face. She didn’t understand why Tses would choose to seclude herself from the world when she would easily be able to fit in and have a normal life, unlike her and Amber. Regan envied Tses, she could blend in with the world, have a free life, find someone to love her. Regan would never have that, she would never find someone to love her, she was a monster, and that’s all she’d ever be. But now was not the time to focus on herself, it was time to focus on Tses and Amber had just given her an offer for her number and a place to stay.
Finally Regan dared to open her mouth and speak, hoping that she wouldn’t make things worse. “Sometimes a wounded bird just needs someone to pick them up and protect them until they are able to fly again, and here you have two predatory mutants who want to help you, not hurt you.” She stood up from her squatted position and took a few steps forward. “Unlike me, you don’t have to be alone Tses, you have so many more opportunities to make friends and relationships. I don’t have that luxury in life and yet I have still managed to make some friends because I let them in. I am willing to help you out just as much as Amber is, and in many ways I could probably relate to you, you just have to try and let people in. I’m one to talk really, I try to keep everyone out myself, but there are a few who have jumped over my walls and helped me a lot, made me feel better about what I am which is not easy to do.”

Regan smiled softly at Mariusz as he offered to help with his request. “You are more than welcome to come and help me with planting them. The mansion will cover the cost of the supplies, but I’ll be happy to have the company when they come in if you want.” Regan liked her quiet time in the greenhouse, but she always welcomed others to come and learn or help her out, taking care of the greenhouse was a lot of work some days and the company would be appreciated.
Her attention was then turned to Jacob as he mentioned that he was looking for plants that would bring in some color and be able to withstand some possible abuse. She giggled slightly and nodded her head at him. “I will have to do some thinking on that one. There are a lot of nice flowers that could bring in the color, but most plants are not meant to take a beating.” She jotted down on her notepad to look into which plants would best survive in Jacob’s shop and get them delivered eventually.
She then turned back to face Mariusz as he questioned where they should head to next. She wasn’t sure herself, there wasn’t really much left to show in the dark. “I don’t think there really is much left to show, but I’m open to suggestions.”

Regan edged closer to the end of the branch so she could see the male better. He said he was Butterfly’s brother and that she had told him about her. She was kind of mad about that. Butterfly knew how much Regan hated being seen by people, and now she was telling other people about her? She hoped that it was only because Ty was her brother that she spilled the beans about her feline friend. She would let it slide for now, but she hoped that the news of existence wouldn’t keep spreading. Finally piping up, Regan responded in a small voice. “I’m Regan.”
So this was the guy that put Butterfly up in a condemned building in the middle of winter? She was not thrilled about that but she was not going to be rude and say that out loud to him. He claimed he was a mutant as well, she wondered what he was capable of doing, but she wasn’t about to ask. He wasn’t expecting to see anyone in the woods and of all the people to stumble across, he stumbled across her. It sure was a small world. “I was not expecting to run into anyone myself. Not many people hang out in the woods so it’s a safe place for me to get out and about.” she said in reply, her voice held a soft Irish accent as she spoke.
She wondered what he was getting away from, but he seemed pretty relaxed to be standing below a tigress. She wasn’t exhibiting any hostility, but she was still being careful, she wasn’t just going to trust this stranger right off the bat, he did have a knife and that little stake still, and for all she knew, the second she was in range, he might use it.

Regan’s feline ears flicked forward as she head the culprit start talking. Her emerald eyes fixated on the form on the floor. Her heart was still mildly pounding in her chest as she watched the blond woman adjusting her skirt and then promptly started searching for something like nothing had happened. Regan cocked her head to the side in curiosity at the woman. How could you get tossed off a couch and not want to find out what had thrown you first?
Cautiously, Regan moved forward towards the woman, still on all fours. She gingerly moved next to the woman who was busy fishing around under the sofa. As she crawled over, her furry hand landed on an odd shape. Looking down she spotted a smart phone and assumed that this was what the blond must be looking for. She picked it up carefully and tapped the blond woman on the shoulder with a clawed finger. “Um, excuse me, is this what you are looking for?” she asked softly, her voice filled with notes of her Irish accent as she spoke.

Regan giggled a little at Butterfly’s comment. “Well thanks, just can be embarrassing sometimes.” She said with a smile before Butterfly had stepped through the bushes. She nodded at Butterfly’s words and gave her another smile, “That would be nice, I don’t get much help or company out there, so that would be a nice change.”
Regan waved goodbye to Butterfly and let go of the branches to once again conceal herself from the city. Her green eyes watched Butterfly walk away into the distance until she vanished into a building. She let out a little sigh, she was sad to see her new friend was gone and she missed her company. She lingered a few moments more before turning back towards the mansion. With a solid leap forward, Regan dropped to all fours and ran back to home in the dark.

The male below had heard her it seemed since he was now staring right at her. Dammit! Why did she have to be an animal, and of all animals, a predator on top of that, it wasn’t fair. She slinked back in the tree to try and pull herself away from his view and to make a flying leap to the next tree when he acted relieved. Obviously this guy was either a mutant himself or one of the humans that didn’t fear them.
Still poised and ready to make a run for it, Regan stopped and looked back down at him, slightly curious, but still very cautious, it could be a trick after all. She didn’t say a word, just stared at him with frightened eyes. Then he asked if she knew Butterfly and it made her tilt her feline head to the side, a flicker of curiosity in her emerald eyes. She nodded slowly but didn’t speak to him. She wondered how he knew that Butterfly was her friend and how he knew about Butterfly.
After cleansing the cut with the solution, Regan moved back over to the first aid kit and pulled out a large bandage that would cover Rebecca’s wound. She pulled back the plastic backing part way and exposed the gauze. She then squeezed out a small amount of ointment onto the gauze and moved back over to Rebecca’s leg where she carefully placed the bandage over the cut and pulled away the rest of the backing, securing the sticky part to Rebecca’s skin. “There we go, you’re all patched up.”
Regan smiled softly and returned to the first aid kit to clean up and put everything away. She looked up out of the corner of her eye when Rebecca started talking about her girlfriend. A small smile crossed her lips and she nodded. It was a little odd to hear of a girl with a girlfriend, but Regan had come across such things in books and on TV so it wasn’t unknown to her, just odd, but she would never be so bold as to say that to Rebecca, that would just be rude. “Well she sounds lovely Rebecca. It’s always nice to hear about love stories.”
After finishing cleaning up and putting everything away, Regan walked over to the sink and washed her hands again, she was just drying her furry hands off when Rebecca made another comment referring to her pants being off. She blinked a few times trying to figure out what exactly she meant by that, but Regan was clever enough to figure out it had something to do with them being intimate together. She coughed a little awkwardly while keeping her back turned towards Rebecca. “Well speaking of pants, you can pull yours back up now.” Regan said while rubbing a clawed hand over her feline face, it wasn’t often that she was the one feeling rather awkward in someone’s presence, but somehow Rebecca was managing to do it by bringing up a topic that Regan had no experience in whatsoever. Thankfully the tigress had read enough romance novels over her teenage years to get the just of what Rebecca was talking about, even though it flustered her greatly.

Regan’s green eyes continued to scan the area below her for any signs of movement. She could hear the sounds of a creature feasting on something, but she couldn’t pin point its location thanks to the wind. The tree swayed and she had to dig her claws into the branch she was perched on in order to keep herself from falling. Her long tail was rigid and it twitched with every little movement of the tree, ever keeping her balance.
Finally some movement caught her eye down on the ground. Some sort of winged creature had emerged from a pile of branches below. Her head tilted to the side as she tried to make out what the heck was below her. The creature was mostly feline looking but it had wings and bird like front claws. What the hell was that?
Heart pounding in her chest, she gulped as the creature was now backing up against the tree she was perched in, and it did not sound happy. It knew she was there, not exactly where she was, but it sensed her presence. She heard the low growl emanate from the creature and it sent a shiver up her spine. How the hell was she going to get out of this one?
Jumping down was not an option, and trying to leap to another tree was out of the question since the creature could fly, it would have the advantage in the trees. Adrenalin was pumping through her veins, it was fight or flight, and there was no way she was going to be able to out run a flying creature in this state, nor would she be able to fight it like this. The saber tooth sensed her plight and pressed against her mind, trying to take over to protect herself. Regan shook her head and tried to push her feral self to the back of her mind, but the more she tried, the more it pushed back, if that beast spotted her, there was no way she was going to be able to contain her own beast.

Green eyes stayed ever locked onto the male below as he worked away on his little wood spear. Suddenly the knife in his hand slipped and nicked his finger, the scent of his blood filled the air and the inner saber tooth forced a small growl to escape Regan’s lips unintentionally. She gasped and clasped a clawed hand over her mouth. So much for being inconspicuous!
She remained motionless on her perch and hopped that the male below hadn’t heard her, or at least didn’t realize where it had come from directly. She stared down at him, waiting to see what his reaction would be and she hoped that she wouldn’t scare the living daylights out of him if he did spot her. If so she would use the trees to make her escape back to the mansion and avoid any serious confrontation.

Enjoying the breeze ruffling her fur, Regan let out a soft sigh. Right now she was at peace. Things weren’t perfect, but things weren’t too bad either. The outdoors just made her heart feel lighter and she didn’t feel all the pressures of the world and the constant fear of the people of the city. It was just quiet and calm up in her tree, alone in the woods.
…..
Well she was alone up until now anyways. Regan’s ears perked up as she heard the crunching of snow underfoot and her emerald eyes quickly darted in the direction that it was coming from. She spotted a male figure in the snow and he was heading directly for her tree.
Feeling a slight twinge of panic flutter through her chest, Regan remained motionless on her perch in the tree. She watched the male closely as he came forth and pulled out a knife to start carving into her tree. She wasn’t very happy about that, but she supposed that she didn’t really own the tree, she just really liked it.
It was long until he finished his carving and she curiously leaned forward a little trying to get a better look. The male then picked up a stick and started to whittle the end of it into a point. She squeezed her clawed hands around the branch she was perched on and dug her claws in slightly, she was now starting to worry that if he spotted her, he might just try and use that stick as a weapon, and that would end very badly for the unknowing male below her. But now she was stuck in this tree, if she tried to make an escape, he would easily see her and her mutation.

It was a crisp winter’s day and Regan was off of work from the shop and the greenhouse so she decided to go for a walk in the woods like she usually did with most of her free time. She dressed in her faded blue jeans and her olive green tank top, along with her black combat boots and her black hooded sweater to help cover her up. She left the mansion and headed back out into the woods for a leisurely walk. She pulled the black hood over her feline ears to help cover her head and face in case someone took a passing glance, they wouldn’t really notice her feline features through the trees.
She came upon her favorite tree in the wooded area. It was a large and old tree with many branches and knots for her to dig her claws into. She quickly dropped down to all fours and playfully ran towards the tree. With a well-planned leap, she jumped up onto the trunk of the tree and dug her claws into the thick bark. She quickly climbed her way up the tree to one of the top branches and perched there in the sun, quietly watching the critters of the forest playing and listening to the sounds of the city off in the distance.

Listening to Tses go on about how Amber and her were part of a club and how she didn’t want or need help made Regan throw up her hands in pure exasperation. What was she supposed to do? Nothing was getting through to this girl, their kindness; their concern for her wellbeing was just a joke to her. What the hell was wrong with this girl that people reaching out to her was treated with such hostility?
Regan rubbed her face with her clawed hands and turned away from the two females. She honestly had nothing to say at this point. She was frustrated and angry. She wanted to grab Tses by the shoulders and just shake the hell out of her, but really what good would that do at this point? That girl was so far gone in her sorrow and misery that she would just lash out again and end up in them fighting once again, and this time Regan might not be able to keep her saber tooth in check.
Pacing was the only thing that Regan could do at this point, her tail twitched about behind her, clearly showing her agitation of the situation. She listened as Amber still tried to reach out and help Tses in some way or another, giving her different routes for finding some help. Regan shook her head as she kept pacing, didn’t Amber see how pointless this was? She was wasting her breath and her precious words on a stubborn girl who wanted none of it. Regan respected her for trying though, it was admirable of her to keep going where Regan just wanted to walk away and let the girl wallow in her self-pity. You can’t help someone who doesn’t want it and you can’t offer strength to someone who isn’t willing to fight. Now Regan wasn’t one to walk away from someone who needed her help, but when someone needed help and defiantly refused to accept any sort of it was a waste of her time, time that she could be using to help someone who actually wanted it, someone who would actually appreciate the energy she was using right now to try and give Tses a fighting chance in this cruel world by offering her some friendship, offering her someone she could look to in times of need, but instead it was being thrown back in her face, and in Amber’s face too.
Still fuming over the current situation, Regan finally turned back around to face the women but stayed back a few feet behind Amber. She dropped down to sit in a squat position on her haunches and rested her elbows on her knees. He green eyes darted back and forth from Tses to Amber and back again, silently watching their body language and listening to them talk. Maybe having her stay back in a non-threatening position and just shutting up, Amber could get through to Tses and finally make some sense of all this chaos.

Regan smiled softly as Butterfly confirmed that she knew exactly where she was going. Regan was glad for that as she didn’t want her to get lost again like she did when she wandered into the greenhouse as a butterfly. Luckily she had stumbled upon Regan who was happy to help her instead of someone who would have gladly lead her astray. “I really appreciate your understanding of my situation, not many people do.” She said with a sweet smile, Butterfly was going to be a good friend to her, she could feel it.
With that Butterfly gave Regan a big hug and felt her concern. She hugged her back and being the cat that she was started purring loudly. She started laughing and let her go. “Sorry, when I’m happy that just happens.” She smiled and pulled back the branches for Butterfly to get out of the woods without getting snagged on anything. “I’ll watch you from here until I can’t see you anymore, then I’ll head back home. I hope to see you again soon, you know where to find me.”
