Character Personality: Paige is a firm believer in dishing out what she's given. If you're good to her, she's good to you. She tries to be nice and make a good first impression, but she isn't very good with attitudes; her first reaction when someone is rude to her is to snap right back. Paige is very strong-willed and hard-headed, and doesn't like being treated like she's stupid. If someone's opinion doesn't match hers, she can be very quick to inform them what they can do with it.
However, Paige is the kind of person who makes a good friend, but a bad enemy. Those she calls her friends, she will stand by, stick up for, and do anything for. Once her friendship is earned, though there will definitely be bumps in the road, she'll usually make it right before all is said and done. She has a more sarcastic sense of humor, and melts at the sight of anything cute. Jerks are the main thing that Paige can't tolerate. If someone does her wrong, she's going to get even first and ask questions later. Her anger is generally controlled, meaning when she does get mad, the girl knows full well what she's doing or about to do. She wears her emotions on her sleeves, which means one look and everyone knows how she's feeling. She doesn't really have anything against humans, though she has more sympathy for mutants because she is one. Her philosophy on this is that 'every barn has a couple of jackasses.'
Paige is pretty, and she knows it. She's not above showing off her figure or trying to use her looks to get that discount at the store, or to get out of that ticket. Despite her flirtiness, she's at a point in her life where she's terrified of feelings and relationships, because that's how people get hurt. She cares about people, but she's lost contact with everyone she's ever dated, and she doesn't like the feeling of losing someone.
Job or part time job and description: Paige is now a Viewtube personality and musician, under the username 'sporkgirl94' and recording under "Alex Mason" She's released one album, and works odd jobs and gigs in the meantime to make ends meet. Fears/ phobias/ concerns:Bugs, snakes, heights, pitch black darkness, losing those she's close to Special talents: Plays guitar, draws clothing designs but never does anything with them.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Paige's morality is closer to good these days. She wants to do the right thing and help people, though now she's under the impression that she doesn't need to be a superhero to do good, just a good role model and influence.
Mutations Mutation description: Object-Shifter: Paige can shift into inanimate objects. Her default shift, the one she goes into automatically, is that of a spork. While shifted, she retains her conscious thought and her senses of sight and hearing, along with the ability to talk, though it seems distant and muffled. Since inanimate objects can't die, Paige cannot be killed while in a shifted form. If her shift is destroyed, she instantly shifts back human. Voluntary shifting happens over the course of a few seconds; the stage between one form and the next looks like a mass of putty as she changes size and shape. When tense, startled, or really she instantly shifts into a spork and won't change back until she calms down. Strengths: This mutation would serve as a great way to hide, or even to spy on someone. Weaknesses and Limitations:Though she can't be killed in a shift, anything that happens to her while shifted will in some way or another carry over to her human form. Example: If she shifts into a candle, and someone lights it, her face is going to appaear badly sunburnt when she shifts back. If her shift is dismembered or broken, she will instantly shift back, but she will be sore in all affected areas and unable to shift for at least a day. She can't move while shifted. Her shifting is limited to man-made devices, and for reasons she doesn't know, she cannot shift into any toys, stuffed animals, statues, or anything resembling a person or animal. Paige is unable to shift into anything larger than she is, and her shifting is limited to simpler objects like a spork, candle, or a pocketknife. She can shift into something like a TV, toaster, or phone, but things of this nature will not function. Any injuries she has in human form will not be healed when she shifts, they will merely be waiting for her when she shifts back. When startled or if her emotions get extreme, she tends to automatically shift into a spork. After shifting back to human, Paige has to wait a few hours before being able to willfully shift again. Her instinct shift to spork can still kick in, but she will be really groggy for awhile after that.
Physical Abilities General Physical Capabilities: She has the stamina, reflexes, and flexibility of a girl her size who engages in moderate exercise. Fighting Style: Paige isn't much of a fighter. When forced to, she will defend herself until she finds an opening to retaliate, then try to get away. Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Paige can be easily overpowered, and her speed on her feet isn't blinding. History Of Your Character Paige was born to a wealthy family in California. Her mom worked for a law firm, while her Dad was a photographer for the rich and famous. Growing up, Paige was spoiled rotten, and given anything and everything she wanted. She went to a private school, though her grades were...less than amazing. At home, she had tutors and took lessons on everything from guitar to self defense. By age thirteen, she was more developed, and she learned the art of letting the smart kids do her homework in exchange for a hug, and she was soon on top of the food chain in the popular crowd. But one day, this changed. At cheerleading practice one day, one of the football players snuck up behind her and scared her. Instead of Paige standing there, she was a spork, lying on the ground. Her parents were understanding when they got the news, as always doing everything in their well-to-do means to look out for her daughter. But the school wasn't so understanding. Paige finished her schooling in a public school, her mutation keeping her from the popular crowd, but she made friends among the nerds, the punks, and the band kids. Sure she stuck out like a sore thumb, but she returned whatever treatment she was shown. She later learned to control her mutation, and even shift at will, and her friends affectionately gave her the nickname "Thingamajig." Her senior year of high school didn't go as well. Her other friends had graduated, being a year before her, and she spent her days now being ridiculed, sending bullies home with black eyes, and sometimes going home with one of her own. Her parents had her transferred to a school out of town, and though it was more of a drive, she kept her powers secret and finished school in peace. But people don't forget. Shortly after she graduated, her family was targeted with threatening letters from mutant-haters, so they moved to another part of the state. Things went peacefully, but word follows the rich. When their house was set on fire, thankfully no one was home, but Paige decided it best if she went out on her own to fend for herself. Her father had a friend in New York who owned a chain of coffee shops, so she boarded the plane and headed to start a new life for herself.
________________
While in New York, Paige made many friends and enemies, making a home at the mansion and getting a girlfriend. After awhile, she found herself torn between two factions at the time, the X men and the Order. Unable to make a decision, she packed her things and ran away, moving back home with her parents in California. She started her Viewtube channel where she performed covers of songs and gave musical and life advice, and she landed a record deal, but that fell through.
Not long after, her parents were killed in an accident, and Paige used her inheritance to release an album while she squared everything away, and attempted to find herself again. Now, she's moved back to New York to start over once again in her "second home state."
Roleplay Where did you learn about this site?: Google Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who: Ty Fisher, Skye Sinclaire, Beau Thibeau, Addy Monroe, Jericho Archer, Seven. Sample RP: "Ohmygod no one told me it would be this freaking COLD!" Paige exclaimed as the bitter cold met her when she walked out of the airport, wearing her tank top and short skirt. Her Dad's friend had met her there, so the first thing they did was buy her a new wardrobe, which undoubtedly took a chunk out of the money her parents had sent with her. Changing into a thick leather jacket and jeans, she was then driven to what would be her new apartment building, a place mostly full of old people and shady types. "You have got to be kidding me...." "Nope. I've taken care of some furniture and the rent for this month, but it's your responsibility after that. I'm sorry, I know your Dad very well, but you need to learn to take care of yourself." "Whatever..." "Oh, by the way, take this, it's your uniforms. You start tomorrow." The man handed her three plastic bags with coat-hangers poking out of them, then bid her farewell. Sighing, the girl peeked into the plastic bag, seeing the red button up shirt, khaki pants, and black apron, coupled with a gold name tag that read "PAIGE MASON." Shuddering at the sight, she tossed the bags on the less than comfortable couch then flopped onto the bed, burying her face into the pillow and screaming. "This sucks!"
