The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Regan’s fangs continued to shine through in her wide grin as Ty continued to treat her like a person and not like an animal. “Butterfly is quite a person. One of the nicest people I have ever met really, she even said I was beautiful.” Regan giggled through a clawed hand at that thought, it was not a compliment she got all that often, well ever really.
Ty brought up his power as the way he found out about Butterfly being his sister, so she figured it was an invitation to ask about it, her curiosity getting the best of her. “So what does your power do? Do you touch someone and can tell their DNA or something?”
Bringing up Butterfly and her move made Regan smile. “Oh well that’s how you heard about me, I hope she only had good things to say.” she said with another giggle. “I understand you did your best for her, though not ideal, it was the best you could do. When Butterfly told me where she was staying I was quite upset, but that is only because I know what it’s like to sleep in the cold. But I at least have fur.” She decided to change the subject so as not to make Ty feel bad about his decision. “Are you planning on helping her move into the mansion?”

Regan had decided to get some more work done around the green house while she had some free time. There was so much work to be done to get the green house back into working shape. The fight with Kaitlyn really did a number on the place, but at least the handy man had managed to get the door put back on, but the glass was still busted out and there were plants all over the place.
Working on organizing the plants into the piles that she was going to repot and salvage, Regan hummed softly. Her ears flicked back as she heard someone approaching the green house and that person quickly was picking up their pace to get there faster.
Regan turned just as Serena came into the green house with a big hello and a happy smile. “Well hello to you too Serena! It’s good to see you!” Regan said excitedly, it had been a little while since she had seen her new friend and she was a welcomed sight indeed. “What brings you to the green house today?”

Regan’s head jerked back slightly as the woman clearly stated that she did no such thing as sit on the feline. With a sigh Regan put two and two together about the blond. The business woman type of clothing and the very clear sense of being superior to everyone else made the flashing red lights go off in her head. No matter what Regan said to try and tell this woman the truth of what had happened, it wouldn’t sink in, she was in her own little world. Deciding to play along instead of arguing with her for the next few hours, Regan responded. “Oh of course, that would be preposterous! It must have been some little brat! My apologies!”
Regan’s brow raised as the woman clearly thought that she had appeared from thin air. What was she supposed to say? The truth was not something she was going to believe. Half-truths would have to suffice since Regan hated to lie. “I was trying to catch a nap in a quiet spot; the living room seemed like a great place to snooze. But then I was interrupted by,” she paused to try and pick her words carefully, “the sound of your plight and came over to investigate.”
This was going to be an interesting conversation….

Green eyes ever locked onto the beast below her, glazed over as the beast let out a challenging roar. Regan could feel her grip on control start to slip away, and she fell into the black hole of her consciousness where all she could do was watch in utter confusion as the events unfolded in front of her.
Her bones started to snap and pop as the saber tooth started to take over her body. Her muscles bulked up under her fur and she increased slightly in size before a pained roar escaped her maw. The long saber tooth fangs extended from under her upper lip, and she let out a low growl as her eyes refocused on the ground below her.
A howling sound forced the green eyes of the saber tooth to look down at a large beast that was suddenly climbing up the tree that she was perched in. The beast was trying to attack her it would appear, and well, that was simply just not going to be allowed. She roared back fiercely at the winged beast and slashed her clawed hand in the air in front of her as a warning to the creature to back off or face her wrath.
This was the beast’s last chance to back the hell off before she would attack. You can only back a cat up into a corner, or in this case up a tree, before it will claw your eyes out, or worse. Little did either of them know that there was another set of eyes taking in this beastly display of dominance and self-preservation.

An appreciative smile crossed her maw and she looked up at Jacob and nodded. He was doing her a huge favor by trying to get the bank to come to her and work with her in privacy instead of making her go out and face the world right away. She was going to have to take a lot of baby steps, and working here at the shop was quite a big baby step as it was. She was just happy that if and when she decided to go out into the city, she would have someone to support her.
Changing the subject back to what they had been talking about before her stomach had rudely interrupted them. “Thank you Jacob, I would really appreciate having someone to lean on while going through this. I will most likely tell you my story eventually, but just not right away. I’m not proud of it and it’s rather embarrassing really. Maybe someday I’ll be able to get over what happened to me, and I’m sure you help will make it a little easier for me.” She smiled softly up at Jacob and her green eyes glittered with the appreciation she was feeling inside.

A small laugh escaped her lips as Kaitlyn started to share the rumor of the plant kid with her. She shook her head at the girl and gave a small smile. “You didn’t need to sneak into the greenhouse to find out the truth. You could have come and seen me during the day and just asked to look around, I wouldn’t have minded at all.”
With a heavy sigh Regan rubbed her blood free hand over her feline face and looked down. The sight of the blood, the thoughts of what had happened, chasing down Kaitlyn and almost killing her, the trashed greenhouse, they were going to have a lot of explaining to do! “You do know that because of you sneaking in and fighting with me, we now have a huge mess to clean up and I have to give you a fitting punishment. Though I’m sure getting chased down by me and almost dying is punishment enough really, I have to give you something else to keep up appearances.”
She mulled it over slightly and tried to decide what she was going to do. Her thoughts trailed back to the disaster of the greenhouse and a fanged grin crossed over her lips. “You can help me clean up the greenhouse and fix up all the damaged plants. That way you can see for yourself that all that’s in there are actual plants, and no plant kids. Sound fair to you?”

Regan’s frown quickly turned into a fanged grin at the kind compliment that Ty had given her. She sat up on the branch and swung her right leg over the branch and launched herself down to land in the snow on her feet with a slight thud. “Well thanks for the compliment! Most people don’t even give me a chance to open my mouth before they run away screaming or want to kill me. The only people that actually talk to me are mutants. That’s not a bad thing though, I have made some pretty great friends, like your sister for example!”

Regan’s emerald eyes watched Tses closely. Watching her facial expressions and body language was like watching a tennis match, bouncing back and forth between softening up and rebuilding the hard, protective shell. Her heart sank in her chest as she felt for poor Tses. She was so full of hurt, anger, and loneliness, and Regan knew those feelings so well herself. These women had their invisible scars just like she did, they may not all share the same ones, but they were all pained in some way.
Regan listened to Amber and Tses talk and couldn’t help but grin slightly as Tses mentioned the cat-lady who was her neighbor. She wondered if that lady would like her as much as she liked her cat collection. She doubted that greatly, but the thought amused her for a few moments.
Then Tses started responding to her statement and she didn’t seem to appreciate her words all that much, but Regan appreciated hers’. She made a valid point after all, the only one that was holding Regan back was herself. She offered Tses a small smile. “I respect your choice to be strong on your own, but I don’t suggest you do it for too long, it will eventually catch up to you and not in a good way.” She sighed a little before continuing, “And I have to say thank you for your words. You are right. The only one stopping me from walking past the trees is myself and my fears. Someday I hope to conquer them. You’ve given me something to think about.”
She then turned to Amber as she mentioned that she wanted to get to know Regan more. Regan smiled warmly and nodded to the pale skinned mutant. “Thanks Amber, I would like to get to know you better as well. We might not share the same ideas, but we share other things in common. I think we would get along quite well.”
Out of the corner of her eye Regan could see Tses backing away from Amber and herself. A small frown passed over her maw. She looked in her direction as Amber shared a few more words with her. She tilted her head to the side slightly as she watched Tses try to retreat from them, back behind her walls. She sighed softly and offered one last sentence to the moon powered mutant. “I hope you find your place in this world Tses, I hope you find your happiness.” The words were sincere and she truly meant them. The two of them may never be friends, but she didn’t want Tses to suffer in her dark place alone any longer then she had to.
Her attention was once again drawn to Amber as she mentioned hunting and a ride home. Regan smiled to her, a fanged grin. “If you like to hunt Amber, maybe sometime we could hunt together. I don’t particularly enjoy it, but the other side of me needs to hunt once and a while.” She didn’t know why she opened up that much all of a sudden to Amber, but seeing as she had a beast side to her as well, she felt a kinship and an understanding, and it sure felt nice. “As for a ride home, I don’t drive but maybe someone back at the mansion can give you a ride, or we can call you a cab there, it’s not far from here.” She smiled as she extended the offer to Amber, but glanced over at Tses to extend the offer to her as well.

Regan wiped the tears from her eyes as she started to calm down slightly. She didn’t dare to face Jacob right now. He didn’t need to see this weakness even though it was pretty obvious right now. She wanted to just crawl under the desk and vanish from view, but that wasn’t an option.
Jacob then started to tell her about some of the soldiers that he had worked with and how injuries changed their lives in different ways. As much as she appreciated the comfort he was trying to give her, there was the small catch of the fact that as soldiers people respected them. She was a mutant, people didn’t respect mutants, but Jacob seemed to be determined to try and help her, so she finally turned the chair to look at him and squeaked out a strained, “Thank you.” through a choke of tears.
“Helping me is not something easily done Jacob. I hold a lot of pain, scars, and secrets in my soul, things that I can’t just shed off like loose fur.” She glanced up for a second into Jacob’s direction before shooting her gaze back down to the floor. “I’ll do my best to let you help me with this, but I can’t promise it will be easy, and don’t expect me to just spill my guts to you about everything I’ve been through and everything I go through every day. The scars you can’t see are the hardest ones to erase.”

Looking around the kitchen Regan didn’t see anyone around. She glanced up at the clock and saw that she was right on time. She hoped that Vicente didn’t decide to stand her up since he didn’t seem like the type to be late. She frowned slightly as she thought about being stood up by her large friend and it made her heart sink a little in her chest.
Shoving the thought aside, she took in a deep breath. Maybe Vicente got caught up in traffic, or perhaps was just running late. There were many things that could have happened, she knew he’d let her know what had happened when he did show up. She just hoped that nothing serious had happened to him.
Shrugging her shoulders slightly, she made her way silently around the massive kitchen counter to start doing some prep while she waited. She wasn’t walking silently on purpose it just came to her naturally being a cat and all. She walked over to the fridge and as she was getting ready to open the oversized door, she noticed out of the corner of her eye someone hunched down in the lower cupboards of the kitchen. She took a quick moment to sniff the air and a wide fanged grin crossed over her lips as the scent of Vicente filled her senses. “There you are! Are you trying to hide from me down there?” she asked with a playful giggle before taking a few steps towards him.

I'm sorry I have not been posting the last few days. It is my first full work week back at work and I have been running like a chicken with my head cut off even though I'm supposed to be on modified duties!! Thus I'm exhausted beyond exhausted and cannot think straight if my life depended on it!! I will try and get some posting done over the weekend if I'm not dead to the world, weekends at work are generally slower so I shouldn't be so run down. If I don't, I will get caught back up over my days off!! *Kitteh snuggle luffs for everyone!!*

Regan’s head tilted to the side as Ty spoke about his current adventures and she was thankful that her life was looking pretty decent and calm compared to his. “Well that’s unfortunate to hear, seems your luck has not been all that great Ty.” She offered a sympathetic smile, “I hope it gets better for you soon, it’s never good to live a completely crazy life, you need to have some sort of peaceful escape.”
“The woods are a nice place to escape to, but living in a city does make that a little hard to do at times. I don’t go into the city myself,” she said with a slight frown, “I’m not exactly a welcomed sight to behold walking down the street.”
Regan smiled to herself as Rebecca said she was very sweet. She was just doing what was right. What needed to be done to protect Rebecca from getting a nasty infection, but she accepted the compliment greatly. “Thanks, I hope it will heal quickly.” Regan healed fast so she never had to really worry about infections, but she knew others needed the first aid so she always kept her kit filled and at the ready.
Feline ears flicked backwards as she heard Rebecca pull up her pants and get herself back in order while talking about her girlfriend. Regan giggled at her comment about the wings. “Well that’s a unique mutation, I bet it can come in handy. I’m glad you have someone special Rebecca.” She said as turned to face her with a soft smile. Part of her heart panged with a hint of jealousy, not because she wanted Rebecca’s girlfriend, but because Rebecca had someone to love and to love her in return. Regan felt like that was something she would never have in her life because of how she looked, and it hurt.
Rebecca brought another smile to Regan’s feline features as she said that she thought Regan was cool too. No one had ever called Regan cool before but she accepted the compliment anyways. Rebecca then wanted to ask a question that she thought might be odd and Regan couldn’t help but tilt her head to the side in curiosity. Rebecca wanted to touch her fur.
Regan nodded and held out her arm to Rebecca. “Go for it, I don’t think it’s anything special, but the few who have touched it have said I’m very soft.” She smiled a half smile and held up her clawed and furry hand to reveal the palms of her hands to Rebecca. Her palms were shaped like a human’s but they had pads on the palm and along the fingers instead of human skin. “I can’t really tell all that well with hands like this.” The disappointment was clear in her eyes but she tried to play it off as if it didn’t bother her.

A small smile crossed over Regan’s feline lips as she was able to help out the blond woman, but her grateful attitude soon changed as she took in the way that Regan looked. It was in her eyes and Regan could see it, that typical look she always got when someone saw the fur covered woman who looked more like a beast then a person. She let out a sigh and backed up away from the woman to give her space but to also make herself feel a little more comfortable by getting farther away from the peering eyes.
Regan wasn’t quite sure what to do and was starting to feel really awkward. She stood up and gave the blond a nod of her head. “You’re welcome, and sorry for tossing you off the sofa, you sat on me.” She sighed again and placed her clawed hands on her hips. She made a mental note not to fall asleep in the living room anymore. Twice she had fallen asleep and twice she had ended up getting the hell spooked out of her, she was going to have to find a new napping spot.

Regan watched as Ty put away his knife and toss the stick he was working on over his shoulder and she relaxed slightly. She sat down on the branch in a straddled position and lowered her upper body to lie down on the branch so she could look down at Ty easily. Her long tail trailed down past her feet and curled at the end. She gave him a curious look as he made his statement. “It’s nice to meet you too, but I’m afraid I’m not sure what you mean. Have you not had many quiet conversations lately?”
“I love the woods.” Regan replied with a small smile. “I come out here a lot when I have free time, I like being outside. I spent most of my life locked up indoors so I take advantage of getting out and about when I can, and I sure do like climbing trees.” She said with a little giggle as she hung her head over the branch a little more which caused her vibrant red hair to hang around her feline face.
