The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(OOC: I'm guessing this is before the break-out. However, if it isn't, i will change it.)
After several weeks of being coopped up in a foreign facility for the fear of being captured, Shade had finally escaped that musty compound to wander the streets of New York City. Cash was a problem as at the moment he had no form of income and the little money he did have in the bank was frozen as he was a fleeing fugitive. With little other options, Shade had resorted to the classic pocket picking. This naturally led him to the most crowded streets.
Walking along the street of Times Sqaure, the hooded mutant carefully chose his victim. It was a middle aged woman with a large over-sized purse, perfect for a quick snatch and grab. Moving into position, Shade slowly matched the woman's stride before he slipped his hand into her purse. The shaded inside of it made his hand vanish upto his wrist. Suddenly, a small bump but diastrous bump caused Shade to lose his balance. He grabbed the woman shoulder instinctively with his free hand, causing her to turn and lock her gaze on Shade, his invisble hand still buried in her bag.
"Sss...sorry?" Shade said doubtfully as he tried to make his face smile nicely. The woman frowned and ripped her bag from Shade's grasp. Muttering under her breath, she quickly disappeared back into the crowd as Shade remained motionless, his fake smile still stuck on his face. Finally, when he was sure she had gone, the man's evil smirk slowly returned to his face. Sliding the offending hand out of his sleeve, Shade licked his lips as he carefully counted the wad of bills in his hand.
Shade muttered a low growl as another explosion shook the building. The invisible mutant turned to watch as the woman ran in the opposite direction of safety. Shrugging slightly, Shade turned to the remaining mutant.
"Are you going to run off too? Or would you like to find some safety?"
You could make the thread private with only members who were on the 'guest list' allowed to post. Then Evie and Zeke (plus someone if that person was to be the priest) could role-play the wedding from there with others just adding about how they got teary eyed at reading of the vows or something like that.
Afterwards, you could make a separate thread for the Reception with less formalities on it. That way others can come comgratulate the newly-weds and have some fun too.
Shade's gaze shifted from the woman as a newcomer approached. His bulky appearance made the hooded mutant immediately cautious of him, but for the moment, he appeared not to be a threat.
"And you are...?"
Shade's unseen eyes locked with the woman's (or rather the blind fold where her eyes would have been) at her words.
"A friend...for now." He said, allowing a small, evil chuckle to escacpe his lips. However, Shade's face quickly turned to stone as he shifted his gaze between the two figures.
"Come on. Let's get the hell out of this place." He said moving through the visible light and into the shadows as he again disappeared from normal human sight. A couple of seconds later, Shade's voice rang out from near the corridor he had just came from.
Shade's victim had enough blood in him to survive a miserable fifteen seconds before the enough blood had emptied from his body to stop his heart was beating. The assailant hadn't waited that long know he was going to die. As the second guard had taken notice of his dying buddy, Shade had 'jumped' to one of the darken corners of the room. He watched carefully as the female mutant made short work of the other guard.
But she left him alive. Shade thought to himself, frowning. At the woman's call, he slowly stepped into the glow cast from a low burning emergency light. It gave off just enough for Shade to be visible. He didn't know if he might surprise the woman for the fact that he was suddenly behind her.
"I go there." Shade said simply. He wore that villainish smirk as he casually waved the now-bleeding dagger through the small amount of light. It soon vanished into a black smoke as the remaining blood dropped to the floor.
Shade was moving quietly through the hallways of the building, making sure to find mutants and guards that were too scared to try and figure out what exactly they were suppose to be. If the person would happen to be mutant, the hooded figure would explain exactly how they were suppsoe to escape the compound. If the person happened to a guard, well let's just say it wouldn't be a pretty picture. Up til now, Shade had not stumbled across any of the prison guards yet and he was inching to spill some blood.
Seeing two figures at the end of the hall, the smirk that inhabited Shade's face slowly grew into a smile. Now maybe, he would get some action. Carefully 'jumping' closer to the pair, the invisible mutant could indeed tell that they were mutant and that they were trying to contain a mutant. One guard was already squirming on the ground, his hands gripping his testicles as they continually squirted blood.
Ouch! Shade thought to himself as he frowned slightly. However, he quickly returned his focus to the two unharmed guards. A blade quickly materialized in his hand as he closed the remaining distance in a short 'jump' behind the one of the guards. He didn't even have time to react as the flash of a shadow seemed to cut across his neck before a jet of blood began to flow from his throat. The guard fell to his knees as he clutched at his severed windpipe, the red liquid quickly escaping past his hands.
(Kill count= 1)
(Hope you don't mind me taking out one of your guards. I can change it if you had other plans.)
With the camps now covered in darkness, Shade was a hard mutant to spot. However if one watched closely, they might have seen him appear once or twice. Shade had kept close to the building in the deepest of the darkness as he worked his way through the mess. There was little need for stealth with the load explosions, high-pitched screaming, and crunching metal. The flash of a moving flashlight from a running guard caused Shade to appear for an instant before vanishing again. Another brillant light show from an exploding rocket showed him moving across the rooftops of one of the buildings before it too disappated allowing him to be consumed by darkness again.
Uninterested by the havok of the outside, Shade unnoticably jumped into the inside of the compound. Only the occasional emergency light glowed to reveal the way to the exit. The rest of the halls were casted in pitch darkness. Perfect cover for the invisible mutant. Seeing a cowering child trying to hide from the horrors of the outside, Shade briefly stepped to the light.
"Kid, you better make for the vehicles. Every mutant is about to escape this hell-hole." The whimpering child offered no response, just a shake of his head before running quickly out of the complex. Continuing down the hallways, Shade again gained his ability to move unseen through the darkness.
Shade had his classic smirk on his face as he sat in one of the armoured personnel carriers. Instead of being dressed in his usually attire, the mutant had on a large, dark grey cloak which included an over-sized hood (in reality it looked much like a Jedi's cloak, just don't say that to his face).
As they lumbered down the road in the huge hunk of metal that was their transport vehicle, Shade adsent-mindly flicked out a dagger to watch it disappate into smoke. He flicked out another one when suddenly, an explosion nearby rocked the car. Shade's smile widened at the anticipated violence.
The car skidded in a halt on the dirt road before the door burst open. After the mad rush out the door, Shade silently stepped out into the battlefield. The view was pure chaos: massive fires burnt in the distant, explosions were rocking the ground, and guards ran to and fro with no direction. However, Shade only registered one thing. He cast an unseen glaze at a dark light pole.
"No lights...Great!" The mutant said to himself as he moved out of the light from the vehicle and vanished.
The buzz from the vibration of the phone next to him was all Shade needed to wake him from the diastrous nightmare he had been dreaming. The time read 2:03 a.m. as he slowly rose from his cot. It was the perfect time for Shade. Already invisible the mutant quickly pulled the dark grey hoodie over his head as it too disappeared in the darkness. Shade quietly 'jumped' into the darken hallway as he began his search of the compound.
With a slight smirk smeared across his lips, Shade silently made his ways through the deserted halls. A couple of lights remained lit, however, Shade easily avoided them, remaining unseen in the blackness. His target was one of those forbidden labs that were either tightly sealed or had armed guards protecting them. There had to be something in there that the Order was interested in. Syn had told him to look into a few things. This was just a way of accomplishing that task. Of course, Shade wasn't against violence in order to solve a problem, but that might anger his current hosts.
Approaching a nearby wall, Shade was nearly certain that the only side led into one of those labs. He concentrated on the darkness around him as he propped the room for the expected darkness which would open a link for him to enter in. However, much to his surprise, there wasn't a shred of darkness, large enough or dark enough for him to use. Frowning slightly, Shade had to think this was slightly strange. Why would the lights, and not just some but all, be on at 2:12 in the morning?
However, Shade quickly dismissed the idea as he moved to his next target. Coming to the second target, the mutant again searched for the darkness inside the ajacent room. However, again , nothing was useful. Shade had to surpress a small growl that sounded from his chest at his discouragement. Moving to another location, Shade found what appeared to be a low level maintance room, something comparable to high tech janitor's closet.
The smirk returned to Shade's face as he sat down at the rather crappy computer and began to search for anything of interest in the eletronic files. The glow from the screen caused his face to appear ghostly animated as it hovered over nothing. Getting to work, Shade quickly became lost in his work.
Shade will be with the ground forces, but he will probably break off and do some sabotage behind the scenes (if any specifics, PM me). Or he can just take out some of those mean guards.
Causing Trouble- Just causing a little mayham with anyone who in stuck in the labs. It could lead to the destruction of some things or someone getting hurt.
Snopping Around- It takes place in the middle of the night. Shade is snopping around the labs. Anyone is welcome to join although techies and Kabal members are preferred.
Have been gone and will futurely be gone for the fact that my computer suddenly was swarmed with viruses and was destroyed. in the process of getting it fixed so i'll be able to get on after that.
Shade chuckled slightly at Vibe's comment. Well, my blades didn't even scratch those mechanic beasts. He thought to himself, replaying the fight in his head. It really hadn't been much of a fight though. Just the Stalker literally manhandling him.
"Yeah, you guessed right. I was the distraction, and well...my distraction didn't turn out so well for me."
Shade placed a hand inside his hood as he wiggled a finger inside his ear. They had suddenly started to ring. Hearing the shaking of the glass, Shade casted an unseen glance at the cup before turning back to Vibe.
"I see work is never in short supply around here." Shade said with a slight chuckle.
"I might go see Sonya. I'm guessing her part went alright during my distraction? Although, that Calley character sounds interesting. Is he stuck in this building too until the hostiles die down towards mutatns?"
"Any orders you have for me at the moment?" He asked with a hint of sarcasism in his voice His smile changing from a cover-up, back to its playful self.
