The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Serena smiled and nervously murmured. "Not what you expected huh? And no, I can't, as far as I can tell, it's only blood outside of the body. But I tested it earlier, and I can feel the impurities, like bumps, which makes sense I guess." She realised that she was going on a bit.
She looked embarrassed. "Sorry, I'm going on, it's just that I'm really nervous about my power and scared of what most people would think about it. And Invisible sounds tempting... but I really do need your help, I don't think I'll be able to purify and bag it at the same time, I'm going to need you to bag them, label them and then put them in the freezer."
Serena felt like she was going on endlessly, hopefully it wouldn't get on Katrina's nerves, she liked Katrina.
Serena smiled to Tses. "Regan is quite nice, she helped me out when I was being chased through the woods and we've been friends since. She's really nice to hug too. Her fur is warm. Serena murmured.
Serena rolled her eyes, visibly. "Oh dear, am I going to have to tell you this again?" Serena teased. "It's not that you did something "Ok", you literally helped me to get somewhere safe, honestly, you saved me by taking me there. And I respect you a lot, for everything which you may have said and done, you are a lovely person and also a strong person, that I know for certain.
Serena smiled, slightly embarassed. "And sorry, I have rambled on to you about it for a second time now..." they were moving in the general direction which Tses believed her apartment to be in.
Serena cocked her head to the side slightly and then giggled. "Well I'm glad we can be friends Sylar. You seem like you could use someone you know you can trust."
The blonde nodded. "The building is huge, but that also has it's advantages. Also, it has so many lovely people here, like Kealey, or a little girl I'm friends with named Victoria, or even my roommate Liz."
She wondered what Sylar thought so far, he had met Kealey, who seemed incredibly friendly, which, knowing Sylar, was a good thing. "So... What do you think so far?"
Serena smiled to him and nodded. It was interesting that his family member worked there. "Nobody in my family had anything to do with me being there, infact I don't have anyone to say anything anymore. And I understand mutations can be difficult it is alright,"
Serena brushed her hand across her forehead, moving a strand of hair behind her ear. "Oh, I recently received my brothers will and everything listed within, which includes the appartment, with a trustfund to pay off the bills for a while, I guess being a cop, he thought ahead of what would happen if he passed away."
"So I went earlier and spent the day there, checking everything out, I spent far longer than I meant to there.
Serena faltered for a moment. Katrina's shaking of her head at Serena. Could she do this? Katrina seemed like a fairly confident person, and if she didn't think that Serena could manage it, surely she couldn't.
No, Serena knew she could do this, maybe.
She turned to Katrina, a fire burning in her eyes. Please don't freak out, please don't hate me. Please, please.
"I can purify and separate it. I think."
Serena looked from left to right, to see that nobody else was around. She looked down to the blood and then looked at her hand, she opened and closed it, and then as she closed it a blue aura surrounded her. She focused on the blood and then spoke to Katrina at the same time.
"It's my mutation. I have haemokinesis. I'll need your help though." Serena was actually feeling extremely uncomfortable about this situation. She had just revealed her mutation to an almost complete stranger, and was asking for her help.
But she couldn't waver. She was commanding confidence in her voice, so she would continue to show that for as long as she could. And She WOULD do this.
Serena put the CD's (With the reciept) in her bag, then walked out of the music store to see what all the motion was about. There was a massive crowd which was shaking and moving about.
Like a riot waiting to happen. Serena couldn't see much in a maze of signs and fists. She decided that she would probably be better off walking around it and staying away from the actual crowd, otherwise it could be dangerous.
She walked around to the side to see a rather casually dressed black haired teenager. She walked over to her and tried to speak to her. she mouthed "Do you know what is going on?"
Even though she spoke at a decent volume, her voice could barely be heard over the raging crowd.
She had seen signs and had heard a crowd outside before all of the commotion. Mayve this was a protest gone wrong?
The young haemokinetic had reduced the normally 100% serious creature, who was detirmined he was a monster, to nervous jittering. Although, mind you, she had also been reduced to redness and awkwardness herself.
It was generally an amusing and awkward situation. Her heart melted at his comment about not having recieved a hug for years. If he decided to stay at the mansion, he would be recieving plenty to make up for all of the hugs that he had missed from his years of living in solitude in the sewers.
She pondered what he said for a moment and then a smile spread across her face. "Well you trusted me enough not to run away intitally, you never attacked me, and you then trusted in what I said and you have come here to the mansion investigating, and also asked specifically for me. That tells me that I can trust you, so you are my friend."
The words flowed out of Serena like a gentle breeze. It was obvious how sincere the young blood bender was through her tone of voice and because of the passion with which she spoke.
Serena walked around the side of the mansion. She had just spent 3 hours straight working on Biology. She was sure she would be fine with Exams this time around.
Although, it had left her feeling terribly impatient. She wanted to get out and do something. She was walking along the side of the building, with the sunlight highlighting the blondes slender figure.
She felt the building shake. What was that? She carried on moving. Another shake, a loud noise.
Serena picked up pace, she was moving towards the front door. She heard a window shatter. She really needed to see what was going on now. She wondered who or what could be causing so much noise and commotion.
Serena saw several others who had the same idea she did. They had moved towards the wooden doors which were the entrance to the main building that was the mansion.
CRACKOOM!
Serena heard shouting, and saw splinters and pieces of wood go flying. She also saw a small red-headed girl stumble through the opening. This should be an interesting evening at the very least.
After speaking to Kealey, Serena set off down the corridor. She was going to go and meet Sylar in the living room. The blonde blood bender moved through the mansions moonlight hallways.
She moved into the living room to see a hooded teenager muttering to himself. She ran over to him "Sylar! You came!" Serena ran over to the sewer dwelling teenager and gave him a hug.
Regardless of what temperature he was, she was warm. She had been working at a desk for literally hours.
She realised that this was probably ever so slightly awkward... She blushed and let go. Her face felt slightly hot. "Urm... Sorry, hugging is sorta like an involuntary reflex for me when I See my friends..."
Serena smiled. "A couple of months now. I do also have my own place though, but I generally just stay at the mansion. That is where like, all of my friends are."
She did find it slightly amusing that the ruffling of the bushes which had prompted Jude to offer to walk her home.... Was a squirrel.
Although, as everyone knew, small furry animals could be completely terrifying. Not. Oh well, at least Serena had company for the walk home, and even if he had been rude at first, possibly unintentionally. He was being friendly now.
She turned to the French accented man. "How do you know so much about the mansion anyway? Do you live there?"
A smile spear across the Young haemokinetic's face. "Regan is so sweet."
Serena smiled. Even though this made her a little uncomfortable, she would respond as if it wasn't. To make Tses feel more comfortable. "something awful happened, and I discovered my power. You found me and even though I was freaked out and crying, you helped me and brought me to the mansion because you thought I'd be safe there."
She felt a warm feeling take a hold of her, she really liked Tses, like a sister. "And then you came to check on me a little later." she continued.
She smiled and nodded "Yeah I can help you look." another smile.
Serena closed her book and put it back into her bag. She heard a strange noise... which was totally the noise that a certain masked horror movie star made.
She stood up and glared at the area it came from. She had heard that kids hung around here occasionally, it was almost certainly one of them. Otherwise, they probably wouldn't have made a reference to that.
She was staring down a bush, with sparkling, sky blue eyes. "That's not amusing in the slightest."
Serena replied to the creepy noises with a pointed comment, she was expecting to ruin some kids fun. Well, good, because there are some people who would become seriously scared by that noise.
Although, to be fair, most people wouldn't hang around a hedge maze at this hour anyway. After she has lectured them on their manors, she should get back to the mansion.
Serena's smile had faded. She was happy to see Tses. But this was awful! How could she have lost her memory. And since when had her lip been pierced?
She proceeded to shake her head. "Sorry. I've never actually been to your apartment. last time I saw you, you had come to visit me and the mansion." It then dawned on Serena that Tses might not actually know what the mansion was, or where it was at the moment.
She felt so bad for Tses. She gave her a hug. She didn't care if it was unexpected.
She then let go and looked up at Tses and said "If you need a place to stay, my apartment isn't too far, and you are welcome to stay there.
Serena smiled at the woman. A librarian. She would certainly have to pay the woman a visit at some point, she was going to run out of reading material at the speed she could read.
She wondered who it was that Kealey could be talking about, a friend of hers? A guy. She didn't know that many guys, and the way she said it made her think it couldn't be Drew or Sam, Kealey surely knew them if she worked here.
Could it be... Yes. The Irish lady's voice confirmed it. It was Sylar! He had come to visit the mansion after all. A huge grin spread across Serena's face. Things began to run across her mind. He had come. Maybe now he could finally get treated properly and see that the world was not as bad as he thought.
At least Serena hoped so. "One sec!" She dashed back into her room quietly and grabbed a hoodie and put it on. She came back out and quietly closed the door.
She smiled widely at Kealey. "A glass of water if that wouldn't be too much trouble. Thank you for coming to fetch me!" Serena was so happy, she gave Kealey a quick hug and went to go and find Sylar.
Serena laughed and smiled as the cooked. She was seriously enjoying herself. Liz was an awesome girl. And cooking with her was certainly a lot of fun, even if it was just to sate their morning hunger.
She nodded with a grin to Liz and began searching cabinets. Dear lord this was a large kitchen. Serena figured though, you would probably need a large kitchen to feed such a large number of students.
She found them. The plates were in a cupboard near the sink. She took out a couple and brought them over to Liz. Her stomach growled. "These smell good Liz! I can't wait to try them."
