The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

As was the usual trend, Ty found himself restless this evening. Due to recent events, and thinking he needed some more...practice...fighting, he'd gone to the gym to wail on a punching bag again. Though unlike last time, no Roach, no anxiety. He was just...restless.
As a result, Ty was now making his way to the kitchen to find something to eat. He was barefoot, wearing only a pair of jeans and his green fingerless gloves. He was shirtless, the menacing looking fish-skeleton and the not-so-menacing pink hummingbird on his chest.
His breathing was a little heavy, and he was a little sweaty, but he didn't care. Right now, food was his priority.

"Yeah, tell me about it. Maybe it's mother nature's way of keeping us in check. But as for humans..." He gave a smirk. "It's almost like...they can judge all they want. We're still better than them."
At Kenzi's suggestion, Ty's grin got a little more insane as he turned the car onto a country back-road. A muddy country back-road. Pulling into a field, he followed her suggestion, doing donuts and just driving crazy. In the process, he slung mud all over the blue car. The redhead let out a cackle.
Suddenly, the car stopped, only spinning wheels. The car had gotten stuck in its own rut, and Ty couldn't help but laugh. "I shoulda known," he murmured with a laugh.

Well there are different levels of crazy. And the madness pertains to pretty much everyone.
Anyways, it may take awhile, but I'm planning on having a drafted version of the plot, the general directions it can go, and of course somewhat of a 'claim' list, pretty soon.

Ty nodded in agreement, eyes focused on the road, both in front and behind. "Yeah, you're right. Everyone has some sort of weakness. Something to keep them in check." The song changed, but Ty turned the station off, listening out for sirens.
He stayed silent as his mind wandered a bit, sort of lost in his own thoughts as those green-glove clad hands gripped the wheel. Ty kept driving, and city soon turned to countryside. "So...whatcha wanna do? I mean...we can return the car--ish. Or whatever. I just sorta like a set plan of sorts when I'm stealing cars." He flashed a nervous grin.

That could work! Especially considering...
"We're all mad here..." One of the lines the Cheshire cat is known for. In Wonderland, just being there is driving the dreamers 'mad.' Insane. Crazy.
This could result in fighting over who's the 'real' [insert character here], because the madness has led them to believe they are really that character.

Ty didn't believe his sister couldn't die. What he did believe was that if Simon killed her, if not dead he would be very miserable. Because...well if just a little bit of Chloe's blood numbed his hand for an hour...
Clearing his mind, Ty crawled into the window and opened his note. As the post-cog read his note from Simon, a grin spread across his face. He'd called the other mutant's bluff. Taking off his glove, he let his mutation work on the note, and for the most part, Ty shook his head. Ty knew about Rupert's killing. Everything his hat had seen, he'd seen. He was only working with Rupert because he felt he had to. But now the psycho was...
...Maybe he was right. For the most part. "Leave it to a pre-cog to give a man who can't shoot a gun..." he grumbled as he took the pistol off of the shelf. Wrapped around the barrel of the gun was another note.
----
Rupert's note was easily spotted in the trunk, as Simon had intended.
Nice little old store, isn't it? I remember going here as a little boy, every Saturday just to look at all the cool junk. But your friend, Tyler has a different connection to this place.
Your Fishy little buddy was into urban exploration a couple years back, that's how he found this place. But Tyler has a couple of secrets. He's more than just some street kid, looking for his place in the world. He learned to steal to survive. Picking pockets, breaking and entering...
He's even got a few kills under his belt. Most of them to save girls, but...this? This place is where Tyler Fisher killed his own Daddy.

That could be cool. Also, it was mentioned above, as far as Wonderland characters go, our dreamers will resemble characters in Wonderland. So you'll have a couple people looking like March Hares, a couple like Hatters, etc.
Though, I do like the idea of 'Alice' characters, wherein they're the only thing remotely human. And maybe...though it may not be accurate, those stuck in this dream who are familiar with the Wonderland lore can concoct the theory that these 'Alices' are the only ones who can stop this.

...I did not think of that. To save your friends from Wonderland...kill them there. I was thinking though, of all the 'escape' ideas: 'waking up'/drifting back to reality, dying, etc...the only way to leave and not come back is to die. Which of course could cause alot of drama here.
I mean think about it. Let's say someone tries to get a close friend out of Wonderland in this fashion, but it fails...That could cause some serious friction, even later down the road.
Now, I do love the idea of it ending, and different people think they did it, but no one really knows how it actually ended.
Okay, my ramblings are almost done, but I had one last idea that was mentioned earlier about the Queen of Hearts's favorite saying being "Off with [so and so's] head." There are 2 ways I see this character.
(1. She can be an NPC, who doesn't at all like the sudden flow of beings into her land, and thus wants to get rid of them. ALL of them.
(2. I'd mentioned characters who enter Wonderland favoring or looking like characters from the books/movies. With this, would come a part of that character's mindset. So if someone was the Queen...

...You have given me an idea, Liz. Not everyone will have the same theory as to how to get out of this. So, if this is the route we choose, we can have two different groups, one who wants to just waste the stupid rabbit and go home, and those who want to work through issues--then go home.

I was thinking it'd be sort of a mixture. Any Alice book or movie based on it is fair game. This will lead to some variety.
I am loving the ideas put out, and I'd be on board with any of Mati's ideas. I know I'm sort of the one spear-heading this, alongside 'Rena, but I want this plot to be fun and unique. I don't want the whole 'been there, done that' feeling, and I love to see involvement.
I like the idea of people being transported to this "New York Wonderland" personally.
*snort* Maybe the "white Rabbit" mutant transporting people there is some psychopath who's targeting his own kind--though if any of our non-mutants want in, they can have gone by mistake--and the only way to end this is to kill the rabbit?

"You too," he said with a smile, his demeanor relaxing. It was obvious the boy had a lot on his mind, but now he was starting to loosen up a bit, forgetting about the usual rush and run of bad luck his life usually threw his way.
Ty chuckled at the question, shaking his head. "Nah, I wasn't really running from anything, exactly. It was just a way of relieving stress, clearing my mind. That and I couldn't sleep. And I recently healed from a leg injury, and it felt good to run again and not have to limp or hobble around, heh"
Ty's train of thought was interrupted when he felt something on his leg. At first it pressed against it, then he felt it messing with his shoe-laces. Looking down, he saw a kitten. Well, it was a little black ball of fluff, which looked up at the post-cog with big green eyes and gave a little high pitched "Mew!"
"Well...look at that," he murmured with a small smile as he knelt to pick up the kitten, which promptly hissed and scratched his finger. Jumping up, Ty popped the wounded finger in his mouth. "Ow...feisty little bugger, ain't it?" He said with another small chuckle.

"...You gonna die!" "If I had a nickel..." Ty muttered as he finished his climb up to the roof, brushing himself off and surveying his surroundings. Of course he'd been spotted, why wouldn't he? And now...he was in a mess. Hell, he and Roach just declared war on an entire gang! And by Ty and Roach, I mean just Ty. He pulled his jacket closer, feeling the bandanna--and for added bonus, the guy's wallet.
As the guy reached for his revolver, Ty picked up a loose brick and hurled it down onto the nearest gang member before turning and running. He knew he wouldn't get far, but that wasn't the goal.
Ty knew a thing or two about gangs, having lived on the streets of New York for a year or two. He just had to survey his surroundings. Leaping from rooftop to rooftop, he found another fire escape and shimmied up a taller building.
If there was one thing about gangs Ty knew, it was turf. But he was in the heart of this gang's territory...He pressed against a chimney, cursing under his breath and planning his next move. In a nutshell, he and his 'mentor' where royally screwed. And by that I mean Ty was royally screwed.

Maybe something lures them to sleep and/or targets those that are already asleep. Either way, it lasts in real time as long as an average sleep. Also, sleep/waking up is your passage in and out of Wonderland, with help from our rabbit friend. Death would be a permanent escape.

At first one or a few would know it's a dream, and they'd have to convince others, I think. Though I like the thought of having to stop it instead of merely trying to 'wake' the others.
I see Ty as either like a March-Hare type figure, or one of the playing cards. And Paige, I'll deviate from canon just a little. Putting my own little twist on it and making Paige a talking, 'animated' teacup that reanimates when broken.
EDIT: Okay so I had this image just now of someone entering this 'dream' the same way Alice did--falling down a rabbit hole. Also, those involved will retain these memories after it resolves--like one of those dreams that 'feel' real.
And if you die in Wonderland, you don't die in the real world. You simply wake up from the 'dream.' But be careful, because once you die in Wonderland, you can't go back.
