The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Oh....right..." he said with a blush of his own. "I'm sure you know what I meant, though," he added, then smirked. "Business. Yeah. Mostly~" Despite feeling like his face was going to explode from the heat, he had to keep teasing. It was fun.
He followed her to the kitchen, slipping his gloves back on. He didn't know how to cook, but if nothing else he could keep her company, right? And they'd figure something out; they usually did. As she looked, he walked up and slipped an arm around her waist, looking at the pantry full of...food? Technically he guessed it was food.

Ty felt that they were doing pretty well as a young couple so far, especially one that had no idea what they were doing. Especially true, given that the things they'd been through were not exactly things that normal couples did, as far as he knew.
"Yeah, date three should just be relaxing. No cops, no conspiracies...just...us. Tacos sound nice." he said with a nod, his thumb stroking the back of her hand gently. Her hands weren't soft and dainty, but then again neither was she. Honestly, he liked the way she was; she was unique, special. And she was his girlfriend.
"Oh, I didn't get much of anything. Just useless day to day stuff; nothing big. I think this wasn't really where your future self did a lot, honestly. I'd suggest the bedroom but...break. And who knows what I'd see in there..." He leaned his head against her shoulder again, closing his eyes for a brief moment.

"I'd rather not think about the why," Ty had answered darkly, his eyes never leaving hers. He wasn't used to this level of talking, but he did suppose that it was better than just using his powers to learn things. His powers could only reveal so much, for one. And for two...talking was much more personal, and in the case of him and Lenna, personal was good.
"Even if you did, I wouldn't hold it against you. I mean...I'm just trying to overcome what I might turn into. You've got that, whatever another version of you got up to, plus what you were taught and trained to do," he said, never once letting go of her hand. "I really like you, too. I know I'm not really great at the talking thing. I guess I depend on my powers too much but...talking can be better sometimes. I kinda like that you're not some cutesy normal girl. Sure, you're cute but you're different. Hell, I'm not normal, myself. And I'll let you know if I find anything out." he nodded, smiling as he looked at her.
Then, he handed her the headache pills as instructed, but the words made him blush more than a little bit, but that was the normal for him when he was with her. "I wouldn't know...you're the first first date I've had, and therefore the only second date." he gave a light shrug as he lifted the hand that was holding hers, and brought her hand gently to his lips, kissing it before setting it back on his lap.

Ty hadn't cursed at Lenna, per se, moreso at himself for forgetting. He noticed that she relaxed, and that made him feel better. He was new at this whole relationship thing but he was going to do whatever he could to make it work. And if all he had to do at this moment was ask questions and talk, then he could definitely do that. Besides, he liked talking to Lenna, a lot.
He listened carefully, soaking in all of the answers, thinking on each of them in silence as she told her story. That was...wow. "So you were trained to be an assassin?" he said, looking at her, trying to piece the words together. "But you never actually killed anyone. I mean, not this version of you," he said with a nod, leaning in and kissing her cheek. "Is there anything else you think I need to know?" He paused for a moment, unable to think of anymore questions.
"My past isn't that interesting, but...My mom died when I was little, and my Dad was...well he was an ass, older me killed him, according to my memories. I moved from Georgia to New York to live with my aunt, who...died. I then bounced around, and wound up being taken in by this guy named Lafayette, who taught me how to pick pockets and hotwire cars and stuff. Nothing in my visions indicates what happened to him," he said after a moment. "And really that's all there is to me."
After a moment, he squeezed her hand again. "We're free from both our former lives," he said after a moment. "This could be considered a fresh start. We can become whatever we want now, right?" he asked, looking at her with a questioning glance.
"****...right. You like when I use my words," he murmured sadly after she'd finished speaking. He looked up at her, guilt and shame and his eyes. "I'm not used to this, the talking, the questions...I'm sorry, I'll keep trying to do better." He'd nodded, taking a breath.
His older self had been the same way. Problems or anything uncomfortable came up, and he ran away or tried to avoid it entirely. Just like Ty now, the questions he'd had in his mind to ask were difficult, so he'd tried to retreat into a position where he didn't need to ask him. Even though he'd sworn not to become his older self, there were still traces of him in there, and there was still a good chance that he could become that guy after all...
But Lenna wouldn't let him. While the words hurt a little bit, they were needed. Ty took a breath and leaned forward to look at the picture, processing his thoughts.
"What was it like when you were younger?" he asked, deciding just to fire off whatever questions he thought of as soon as they hit his head. After all she liked to know what he was thinking, that he remembered. "What did you do? Do you remember how you left, how you ended up here? Do you think there's a chance....I could help you find them, if you wanted?"

Lenna went through the items, and she took the katana and put it back where he'd gotten it, though he gave a nod at her explanation. "Good point. Though, I've seen a lot of things I didn't necessarily want to, and a lot of things I might have. Just know that if it will help us get to the bottom of this, I'll do it. If you ever need me to do anything for you, I will, no questions. But since you don't want me to use my abilities on the sword, I won't."
He looked as she procured the picture, and went to touch it, but withdrew his hand when she told him with his eyes only. Okay, she was going to tell him about it. That might have been better. While his powers were probably more efficient at gathering information, talking was much more personal. And...he liked talking with her; he liked being with her, even in this potentially dangerous and likely to become very effed up situation....they were together.
She was speaking, and her voice sounded...different. He watched her face intently as she spoke, not because he was listening, though he was hanging on every word. Every detail of her face was etched into his brain, and he picked up the grimace, and the face when she mentioned her "father."
"Ask whatever you wish." Her voice was...flat, almost dead. Ty just shook his head. He didn't say anything. What Ty did do, was get up from his position next to her on the couch, and stood in front of her before leaning down and wrapping his arms around her in a gentle hug. There was nothing romantic about this hug; it wasn't like when he held her while kissing, or when they held hands. This was a firm, yet comforting and loving embrace, as if to tell her he was there for her without actually using words. His right hand ran through her hair gently, just letting her know that it was going to be okay. After a few moments, he released the hug, sitting back next to her on the couch.
He picked up the remote gingerly, looking over at her. "This has probably seen a lot. We can start here, see what your past selves' daily home lives were like." He didn't say anything about the picture, she'd get to that in her own time. He took a firm grip on the remote as his expression went blank, and all the things that little piece of plastic had seen were crammed into his head.
There were a lot of dead spaces, sometimes noise with no image to put to them, but the remote on the table had a good vantage point, able to see most of the immediate area.
After he came out of the vision, he popped another dry aspirin and just leaned his head on Lenna's shoulder as his head throbbed and his face paled. His arm wrapped around her waist as he closed his eyes.

The drive was nice, the car was nice, and there was no pressure. Sure, they had a job to do, but he enjoyed their time in the car together, and this time there was no one chasing them, which was doubly nice. He'd taken his other glove off before the drive, and he had a reason for this. He took her hand as he drove, both hands bare, but...he preferred holding her hand better without the glove. Besides, he wouldn't need them when they got to their destination, wherever that was. He was honestly just following her directions.
"Got it. Be prepared to run, stay on guard, F*** Kyle," he said, the tone getting much less foreboding once they got into the elevator. And she used his line against him, but unlike the first time those words were murmured, they weren't joking. And Ty gladly obliged, at least until that annoying ding of the elevator doors told them it was time to get to work. With a sigh, he entered the apartment and looked around.
"Looks like an average apartment to me," he murmured with a shrug, "A pretty nice one, actually..." Icy blue eyes scanned the room as he looked around, tugging his gloves on for a moment. He didn't want to trigger his power on everything, just the important stuff. First thing he grabbed was the katana, putting it on the coffee table, then he grabbed the picture under the end table, continuing to look around. He grabbed a couple of other items that looked interesting and set them in the pile that was forming, then sat down and pulled his gloves off.
"Okay, I have to do this a little bit at a time. Takes a lot out of me, but...hand me something you think looks like it may be important or familiar, and put it in my hand. And..." he tossed her the bottle of aspirin, "We're gonna need these."

He chuckled lightly, looking more at their entwined hands than at her as she spoke. She had him wrapped around her little finger, and she knew it. The conversation got more sincere, and he nodded, now looking into her eyes. Those big, beautiful eyes. While he remembered that joking conversation when they met, he also never anticipated them to actually have made out, and on top of that, be dating now where the other part of her joke was definitely a possibility. Er...possibly? Maybe? Eh, who knew.
He nodded as their eyes met after she'd spoken. "Yeah. It's important that we find out about them, about what's going with them--with us--being younger but..we don't have to become them again. We can be...us." Then she kissed him, and his free hand moved to rest on the back of her neck, closing his eyes as his breath steadied.
When it broke, he was wearing that goof-ball grin he always wore after she kissed him; he couldn't help it. "From what I gather, if we're digging more into our pasts--er...future? Then there's always danger. If there's something to learn..." she didn't have to ask him for him to be able to say it. "I'm in. Lead the way, Hun."

"Yeah, I do now. Thank you," he said with a smile and a nod.
As she spoke, he occasionally looked at her, still blushing bright red as his face had a pulse that matched his racing heartbeat. In fact he was sure he almost died a couple of times as she spoke, but then the joking eased up some and she explained more seriously.
"Y-yeah...I'm alive," he said, looking at her with his cheeks still a bright crimson(or florescent orange, in Lenna's point of view). "It's just not something I personally have..dealt with? I mean...I don't recall the subject coming up before we met," he admitted sheepishly. "Now, the older me kinda did that a lot, but the more I learn, the more I realize that I'm not him. Not even close. But...I don't think I wanna be; I like this me." He removed his glove before finding her hand again and lacing their fingers together, the skin on skin contact felt much better than the glove being in the way.
"Though...from what I know about our other selves...this," he squeezed her hand, "Wouldn't have worked with anyone but us. And...I really like this. Even if you seem to take a sick joy in making me die inside," he teased

Ty smiled at the explanation, then nodded. "I know you do. I like it; it's cute," he said softly. She put her hand back on his, and it was awkward at first, but he gently took her hand in his, lacing their fingers together. His motions weren't exactly smooth, either, but he managed, and the end result was very sweet.
"It's nice that she helped you, shows that there are still good people in the world," he commented as he listened to a bit of her story. "I never really had anyone. I've been on my own as long as I remember. Older me had a couple of mentors, a giant roach, the other you...but...well in all fairness those weren't exactly good role models..." he admitted. "Sanctuary I sort of found on my own. Only to realize I'd found it before? It was weird."
Ty smirked, adjusting the cowboy hat. "I like it, Thanks." He blushed at the talk of safety. "Yeah uh...she didn't mean that kind of protection, Hun..." the word slipped out, but it felt right. "What she gave you is for uhm...I mean...she....uhm..." He took a breath as he felt his face flush even hotter, and he was sure his face had a pulse right now. "Mama Skye seems to think we might...." He leaned in and whispered the explanation in her ear, then turned his head to avoid eye contact.

How could one be so what? She changed subjects and left him hanging. What was she talking about? She breathed, and then she started talking through when they first met. He squeezed her hand back, smiling at her words. Then he blushed, taking in everything she said, and nodded before working through it.
"I never thought you were weak, but everyone needs help sometimes. I was there, so I thought maybe I could help. I didn't know what to do so I just offered to....be there." He blushed deeper at the nakedness. "Yeah...I did warn you about that but...I promise not to show anyone. Any of them. That just stays between us," he promised with a nod and a quick peck on the cheek.
"Yeah, we're gonna get to the bottom of everything; you and me. Honestly, we can watch whatever you want. I don't know how things got bigger than others when some of the best ones are lesser known, but I guess it has to do with marketing and budget?" He gave a shrug, then blushed as his mind went back to the bit with the rainbow haired woman in the cab.
So uh...who was the woman in the car with the weird lights and rainbow hair? She seemed uh...cool."

Ty rubbed his eyes; he needed coffee but after the kid spoke it became apparent that there was not enough coffee in the world to deal with that. "Look here, you little sh**, I just woke up, I was not expecting company, and I didn't know preschool let out this early," he snapped. "I promise I can handle whatever you have for me." He sighed, listening as the Roach spoke.
"I liked her better when we were grown and talking in a coffee shop," he grumbled, before stepping aside and motioning them in. "Here's as good as place as any. Make yourself at home." Besides the bed there was a recliner and a love seat to sit on, from back when the version of him that originally lived here had more company. First, he walked over to the coffee table in the corner where a coffee pot and all the fixings were. He brewed a pot, and poured a rather large cup before taking a sip, savoring the flavor for a minute before setting the cup down and holding his hand out for the syringe.
"If it'll get us to the bottom of this, I'm willing to work amicably," he said, giving a nod.

Ty was learning to love his room. His older self had a pretty respectable style, and he had some cool stuff. And the bed was a lot comfier than the bench he woke up on. Plus, he didn't need a job, so he could just pick pockets as needed for a little extra spending money; it was a pretty sweet deal.
Knock knock.
Ty groaned, rolling over in bed, sleeping soundly.
Knock knock.
Ugh. Ten more minutes.
Knock knock.
Okay make it twenty.
Knock knock.
"Whaaaaat...." Ty groaned, throwing the blanket back and crawling out of bed with a grumble, shaggy red hair strewn about his head as he threw on a tee shirt and jeans so he wasn't answering the door in his boxers. Then he groggily stumbledto the door and opened it, flinching when he saw the giant roach standing there."What, you making house calls, now?" he grumbled. "I thought the address section was for mail, not stalking."
He glanced down at the kid, who looked very familiar, much like a woman he'd seen in his visions awhile back. Someone he'd met and talked to in a coffee shop.
"Let me guess...this has something to do with this whole being younger bulls***, yeah?" he asked dryly before grabbing his jacket off the back of the door and throwing it on. "Start explaining, I guess..." He tightened his black fingerless gloves, figuring he was in for a hell of a day.

Ty closed his eyes, leaning into her hand as she stroked his cheek. "You didn't. More information means more headaches but you had no way of knowing that, or that your purse had seen so much." Her words made him smile, and his eyes opened when she gave him a quick kiss. Their foreheads touched, and she touched the glove as he squeezed her hand, letting her know he was there for her.
Reading the memories he left took a lot longer; several minutes in fact, but Ty didn't budge. He didn't even flinch. Ty stayed just as he was sitting as Lenna's brain cycled through the silent movie compilation that would hopefully clear things up. When she opened her eyes, he had the pills ready, and he handed her two of them. "Wow. And yeah, I did see that with the phone. Guy's name is Kyle? Yeah, screw that guy." He blushed. "Well, I saw everything the purse saw. Everything. Any time you...changed with the purse in view....and yeah that bit in the cab? That too..I uh...got that." he coughed.
Cool! Subject change!
"He thought you were someone else. The other you, I'm assuming," he explained, his voice softening as he swallowed. "You--er...the older you? Had to tell him that the other you...had died..." He gave her hand another squeeze, letting his thumb stroke the back of her hand as he did so, sort of thankful he preferred fingerless gloves.
"I know, this is some Twilight Zone level shit, but...like you said to me earlier...I'm your boyfriend. I'm not going anywhere. We're gonna figure this out. All of it. Together."

Ty was enjoying the time with her, even if they were about to dive into some weird junk. But...she promised to stick around, and that was enough for him.
He nodded. "Yeah, I pick up everything an object has 'seen' and experienced. You know, if objects could actually do that? But...I guess they can? It's weird. But yeah, I do pick up sound, but only like...important stuff, usually. It's sort of like every memory this object has been through gets crammed into my head in a matter of seconds, leaving me to root through it. And that's why I carry the aspirin," he explained, pulling a bottle of aspirin out of his pocket and shaking it before replacing it.
"Yeah, I think that'll be good," he said as he pulled off the glove and touched the purse.
That purse spent a lot of time in a closet, and when it did see the light of day, Ty couldn't make heads or tails of a lot of the memories he was getting. It was Lenna, but older than his girlfriend Lenna, younger than the Lenna from his own visions, the one he worked for.
The woman had been walking distractedly, like she had been lost in thought. Listening to music with one ear pod in. A man had approached her. It seemed like He knew her. Stepped in front of her, put a hand on her upper arm.
“Lenna, I’d taken y’fer dead.”
Lenna had frowned and slipped out of his grasp. “You think I’m that other woman... She isn’t me... what is she to— oh god. You’re him.”
Halloween, Ty got a good view of some blonde-haired, blue eyed woman in a Princess Leia costume.
Dark Night. City Street. he woman was following someone through the dark.
When she finally caught up to the person she’d been following, they entered a building.
“So a spider walks into a bar...” the woman said.
A person in layers of rags was on the sidewalk ahead of her, by the stoop of a rundown apartment building. They had a bottle of wine. The woman gave them a wide berth. A moment later—
She clawed at her ear as the area fell into a more severe darkness. Street lamps had burst their bulbs. Up and down the street, lights still burned. Whatever had blasted the area around her in electrostatic something or other—
Lenna nudged the vagrant with her foot. Sparks popped on the vagrants form, and lit their face. It wasn’t a man, but a boy. Freckles, rusty hair. Youthful face. More sparks revealed A bottle in one hand and a needle in the other.
The woman moved away, and moved on.
Bar. Ty recognized this woman. This was the Megan from his memories, and from what he'd learned from the Megan at the mansion, the same thing had happened to her.
“Leave her alone, you bitch.” The woman announced... mildly. Like Ty’s Lenna might have said. And then, things got messy.
Somehow, the lady flew leisurely through the air. Into a jukebox. A new song. Britney Spears Toxic. The lady tried to throw something. It flew away, into the center of the bar. Right towards the dark-haired woman.
Smoke billowed from the grenade. Around the bar, people started changing. From the purses perspective, the room swirled chaotically.
A spark in the cloud of smoke. The sounds of fighting. And Lenna had been jabbed with a needle. She... transformed. From blonde with blue eyes, down to brunette with blue-green. And suddenly, her skirt didn’t fit just right. And Lenna was beating the crap out of everyone in the bar. It was actually kind of impressive.
Whenever someone tried to attack, they failed. Got unlucky. Tripped, or missed.
Then everything was on fire. Lenna made it to the woman— the girl. Megan. And got out. As they made it out of the burning building, the memory shifted again.
Lenna in a hotel room. Lenna with a Burger King crown on her head.
“I am the burger queen.”
Lenna, buying clothes with Megan. Lenna, in the changing room. Trying things on.
Another memory, another day. Lenna was entering a mysterious apartment building. Her key worked in the lock of the apartment. A simple room. Closet full of stuff. Sleep. People busting down the front door. A chase.
Lenna broke some guy’s nose with her knee. And went to talk with— a blonde woman Ty might have known at some point. The blonde said something about amnesia getting old, and adults turning into kids.
They talked for a while. And then, more of the goons had come. A ninja and a Paladin. The whole fight was cool.
The mystery of where the phone had come from got solved. Straight from the pocket of the goon with the broken nose.
“Hello, Kyle... what have you got for me? Ah! Yes. Good.”
Lenna, arranging her hair. Checking her breath. Checking to see that her deodorant was working... right before talking to him.
They went on a date, from the purse’s perspective.
The rest of the time between then and now was filled with memories of survival. Buying street food, fighting wolves for territory... fighting goth kids with fangs. The mansion.
Then, he saw himself again. Standing by a tree. Rushing at him, leaping into his arms, and kissing him...
When the vision came back to reality, it had honestly been a few seconds that Ty had been sitting there with an absent stare into nothing before coming to with a deep inhale, his face pale and his hands shaking. Frantically, he popped open the aspirin bottle and popped two. Dry. Just swallowed them.
"That, was alot. I...I saw...so much. How many versions of you were there? I mean...there's you, and there's older you, but then there's another you that the older me worked for? I...I'm confused, and it's a lot to take in, so...I'm going to do something. Another part of my power. You might get a headache or something, fair warning. I can show you snippets of what happened, but it won't be as quick, and its gonna suck a little, you don't have to if you don't want to."
He closed his hand around his glove, his other gloved hand taking hers, just for comfort. He wanted to be close to her, especially now. Things were about to get even weirder. As he focused on the glove his bare hand was holding, his eyes turned red as he imprinted little tidbits, a best-of compilation of what he'd just seen. These memories would be silent, and they would last as long as an extended movie trailer.
"Just know...I'm here for you, okay?" His hand outstretched, he held out the glove. All you have to do is touch it."
