The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

As was the usual trend, Ty found himself restless this evening. Due to recent events, and thinking he needed some more...practice...fighting, he'd gone to the gym to wail on a punching bag again. Though unlike last time, no Roach, no anxiety. He was just...restless.
As a result, Ty was now making his way to the kitchen to find something to eat. He was barefoot, wearing only a pair of jeans and his green fingerless gloves. He was shirtless, the menacing looking fish-skeleton and the not-so-menacing pink hummingbird on his chest.
His breathing was a little heavy, and he was a little sweaty, but he didn't care. Right now, food was his priority.
Allison didn't particularly want to eat. Well, she did, but she wanted mostly to eat fruit, ice cream, and preferably both. She'd been letting everyone (that knew, anyway, so really not many people at all) blame it on cravings, but really it was just her. She always wanted fruit and ice cream.
She needed other foods, though, even if they weren't appealing at all. And she was feeling sort of hungry. Actually, very hungry; she'd been sort of hungry a few hours though. But Allison was reading, and it was interesting. Most of the article on brain structure was review for her, really, but it went into more detail than she'd studied before, or more than she remembered anyway. It was giving her interesting ideas.
Eventually hunger became too annoying to ignore, though, so Allison folded half of the magazine back, and carried it with her toward the kitchen. She kept reading as she walked; she'd learned years ago how to do that, and as long as she glanced up occasionally to check where people were, it wasn't an issue.

Ty was only really half-paying attention, to be honest. The kid was tired, and hungry, and...wait there was someone next to him. Looking over, it didn't take a second for him to realize he knew her. Sort of. He never got her name, though he did somewhat remember meeting her before. Sort of.
Okay, so he remembered things not going well both of the two times they'd come across each other. Maybe this time would be better...hopefully.
"Hey..." he murmured at first. "Can we talk?" He spoke a little more confident now. Ty wasn't usually the type to do this, but this was a special situation, after all.
It took a few seconds for Allison to notice someone had spoken to her. It didn't happen that often, and when it did it was generally by a limited number of people; she'd developed the habit of tuning out any voice that didn't belong to Aura or Isabel, at least while she was in Sanctuary. And Isabel she generally had to track down, anyway. This was A: a guy, and B: definitely not Aura, and it took a moment for Allison to realize he was talking to her. She raised her eyes from the magazine just enough to look over at him.
"I have a girlfriend, so no." It took another moment to realize she recognized him, mostly due to the hummingbird tattoo. Quite convenient, she'd have to start giving those out to more people.... "As you ought to be aware of."

"Yeah, I know," Ty replied with a nervous chuckle. This did not seem to be going well, and he hadn't even started yet. "I...look, the last two times we met, it didn't exactly involve...good terms between us. I wasn't exactly myself." He drew out a long, nervous sigh. This definitely wasn't the post-cog's element, but hey, he did what he had to.
"I was stupid, and I realize that. I figured since I happened to run into you, now is just as good a time as any to apologize."
She'd expected, mostly, to be hit on. Or maybe that he would demand an apology from her, or that she forgive and forget everything because he would prefer that she did, and anyway, he hadn't actually stolen anything from her, right? An actual apology was not anywhere in the list of options she'd come up with.
Which gave the kid a decent start, but Allison still wasn't sure she wanted to forgive him. Granted, she wasn't sure what else he could do beyond apologize, but it still seemed a little disproportionate to trying to steal from her and then using her as porn, along with whatever else he did with those memories. "Okay, decent start. So why should I forgive you?"

Ty was surprised by her response, then again, it was never that easy. But nonetheless, he was going to be the...giggle...mature...individual here and try to make things right. After all, the grounds on which they disliked each other were...silly.
"Never said you had to forgive me," Ty replied. "I just wanted to let you know how I felt about the situation. It was a stupid thing to do. Whether you actually forgive me or not, well, that's entirely up to you. I'm just trying to make amends is all."
"Most people tend to assume that make amends and be forgiven are pretty closely related." Well, that response was no help to Allison. It ruled out a few options, but not enough to really give her any useful guess at what he wanted. "You're right that it was stupid, though."
Regardless, she closed the magazine to look at him. "So, if I did forgive you, what then?"
