The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Really you don't need money to enrole in xaviers school if you don't have it. Not every character does. However if you want your character to just have a job, Sara ( aka werecat ) could try to get him one either at a friends Chinese restaurant or for her with her storage business for those less than lawful. She also has connections at the school.
It took Sara a moment before she returned to Pluto’s side. Not because she had been injured but because she was mentally shaken. She’d only killed one other person before and then it had been because she was saving herself. This was the first time that she had killed for others. No matter how right this felt, it felt so wrong at the same time.
Donovan lay dead now and Sara had some of his blood on her clawed feet and her left hand, up to her wrist. She removed a handkerchief from Donovan’s pocket, pulled his jacket over his head from behind so that it covered his face. It was easier to not look at the face of him. She gracefully stood so as not to make herself sway sideways, and made her way to the clean side of the car.
“My apologies do who ever owns that car. I’ll pay for a wax if it’s needed for the roof.” Sara said as she did the best that she could to dab the blood away on her left hand, then her feet.
Mean while when Donovan passed away the two doppelgangers turned back to their normal selves. Plutos’s had shrank into the crater that he had made when he landed. He still lay motionless. Sara’s moaned as he turned onto his back. It seemed when he copied Sara’s mutation, he’d healed enough to survive her busting his spine.
“If people want to clean up, go a head.” Sara said as she patted Donovan’s blood off from between her toes. “I also suggest that people start moving their belongings out of here.” After all. “Someone must have spotted a big red monkey muscled asteroid touching down.”
Her eyes left her work with her foot and her toes for a moment to look at Pluto. She was lost and she really didn’t know what steps to take first. Was it right to just leave? or... What?
In the past, there were few things that got past Sara. She could sense people on the wind, she could react faster than a blink of the eye to anything as slight as a finger twitch. Heck, with her 6th sense, she may not be able to see, but she could instantly know all movement that was in the recent past and the present. However lately, she feared that she lost her touch. Twice now, she’d learned that her storage units had been used in human trafficking, and to say that it bothered her, was an understatement.
She’d began to petrol her own buildings. Something that she would never have done before. She was driving a big white cargo van that she had recently acquired to help her get supplies from one building to another. The visibility was poor in the van. The same lack of windows that prevented people from looking in also gave Sara many blind spots. She didn’t make a practice of checking for people following her because… Why would someone want to? After all. Sara had friends in high places and deep, dark places.
There were clouds that lay low on the horizon, and Sara leaned forward in the driver’s seat so that she could peer up between the steering wheel and edge of the windshield. The air smelled damp and if Sara didn’t hurry, she would be caught in a light rain. She sighed in annoyance. Light rains were the worst. A complete soaking at least didn’t itch of feel uneven against her skin. Sara had already been meeting the speed limit or matching the speed of the other cars around her. She didn’t need to be pulled over by a cop because she had no license. Heck. She had no ID or way of getting a license. It was just easier just easier to not get caught then to explain herself.
The traffic thinned up a head and Sara felt her foot press further down on the gas. The lumbering white van replied obediently and it’s odometer crept near 65 miles per hour. She could nearly see the tops of her wearhouses over the other abandoned buildings and shredded looking trees. With her tail twitching next to her bucket seat, it wouldn’t be long before she could get in the shelter of one of her worn, tired looking warehouses, and avoid the weather completely.
To say that Sara was surprised to have Aurion kick at her gut with his clawed feet…. Would be the truth. It shouldn’t of been a surprise because that was one of her favorite moves but none the less, she was surprised. She took the blow in full from one clawed foot that managed to dig deep across her ribs and abdomen. The other went sideways slashing a smaller but substantial cut. If Sara didn’t have her healing abilities, she would have been dead in a few minutes. A sharp cry echoed from her throat sounding more animal than human with the sudden onslaught of pain and Sara’s eyes dilated till they were nearly all black.
She didn’t have time to stop and check her stomach. Her mutation would have to take care of it by it’s self and it did. During the struggle her ripped flesh stretched to close, and knit together. It would take time but soon Sara’s skin would smooth out only leaving streaks of missing fur that would take longer to grow back, and her tattered shirt…. Well shirts don’t heal… She’d have a fresh one waiting for her at home. No matter. She’d have a new shirt soon enough. She just had to deal with this fellow mutant first.
Speaking of her fellow mutant, he was speaking to her. He still demanded to know where the children were and it ticked her off. Even if she wanted to chat back at him right away, he certainly made it difficult. He tried catching her about the shoulders and for a moment, Sara worked to block his attempts to hold her about her shoulders and her neck with her own claws lashing out at his arms and face. Mean while she tried moving her own clawed feet. One to step on the inner leg of Aurion’s right leg. The other tried to step on his tail so that if it didn’t stop him from striking her with it, it would at least give her fair warning. She certainly didn’t want to get caught by either of the sharp natural weapons again. As for the other leg, hopefully Sara was too close to him for another attack to be easy.
Then, if Sara didn’t have enough trouble talking, the other mutant decided to try to sink his teeth into her neck. Growling, Sara shielded her throat from his teeth. She caught his jaws, upper jaw caught with her right clawed hand, lower jaw caught with her left. She pushed against the other mutant’s jaws aiming back towards the ground. She also tried pulling his mouth wide open, Digging her claws into his lips or gums if she felt her own grip slip. Not to the point of causing injury, yet, but definitely trying to make it uncomfortable.
She chuckled letting a deep growl from her chest echo up with it. “Demanding that I talk, then ripping out my voice box doesn’t really make sense. It’s almost as bad as the phrase cat got your tongue.” Errr ahhh Jaw. That tail. Where was that tail that he’d tried to attack her with at first. Sara moved to try to find it and try to keep it in sight while still keeping the other mutant in her field of view. That tail. Where was that tail that he’d tried to attack her with at first. Sara moved to try to find it and try to keep it in sight while still keeping the other mutant in her field of view. “I don’t know anything about any that he took.” That he took? That he took! Realization hit Sara and for a moment she was distracted.
Sara could feel the hair on the back of her neck and down her spine stand on end. A deep, low, growl echoed through her throat as she listened to Aurion’s words. Jack took kids off of the street? She didn’t know! And even if she did, it couldn’t have been her warehouses! Sara didn’t really have time to gage all of that information. Aurion was already trying to figure out how close he should get to her.
Her eyes narrowed at the way Aurion was moving. She tensed. Then he struck.
He was covering the gap between them, fast. As Aurion twisted, his tail whipped her way. That formidable fin on his tail was headed straight for her and she was going to have to strike back, but first she was going to have to get close enough to do so. Instead of backing off and pacing just out of reach of Aurion’s tail, she ducked below it. The sharp edge of it slashed her leaving a minor wound. Aurion’s tail whipped around and she charged him intending to take him down with her claws if she had to.
Sara threw her wait at the other mutant and she tried to sink her claws into the ribs of him. With any luck, she’d knock him to the ground where she could try to get more control. "I don't know what you're talking about!"
Sara had witnessed many terrible things. This wasn’t the first time that she had seen mass murder. That didn’t mean that it was any less shocking. What was even more shocking to her was that Bast had only sat there on her temple’s steps to watch the scene. She sat there stock still as if she had no remorse for the people that she’d told Sara that she still cared for. It didn’t make sense to Sara that she would threaten Sara so freely for harming her people, but watch them killed so easily.
Jack didn’t talk much to Sara. He’d tried to start a conversation, and tell her that things weren’t only different because they were in a different country, but also a different time. She wouldn’t hear it. Jack ended up letting her be and occupied himself by solemnly dangling some string in front of a pair of kittens who obviously didn’t know or care about the events that had taken place directly down their steps.
Meanwhile, Bast kept a visual over the scene. Sara was sure that Bast had been the one stopping her from getting to Sakmet’s men. Anyone else didn’t make sense.
It didn’t take others long to show up. One of Sakmet’s men had left. Sara assumed that it was to tell his godess of the latest events. The rest staid to look menacingly over the foot of the temple steps. Sakmet’s men stretched the bodies of the dead out in front of the temple. Men woman and children came back to the temple, with long sheets. They were allowed to bind the bodies with the cloth and thin cord.
Despite the bloodshed and death, Sara noticed that the foot of the temple was becoming more and more crowded again. The crowd wasn’t nearly as big as it had been earlier but it was still bigger than before the kills. Sakmet’s soldiers, mourners, and other defiant Bast supporters stood so close together. Sara was worried that Sakmet’s men would kill again. But what would she be able to do if she couldn’t get through that barrier?
“Bast you’re a monster.” Sara said as she stared at the back of the small cat. She’d drawn her knees up to her chest a she sat with her back against one of the large stone pillars. Tail twitching. It was then that Bast turned to look Sara right in the eye.
Xavia. Not just because I am Bias in knowing her in real life but because she has well thought out descriptive posts and I love being a hopeful, hopeless romantic. Oh there you are.
Aurion. Aurion is fun to read and fun to post with. His character is different with well thought out personality traits and speech patters. Hunting the hunter and Fangs, Claws, and Broken Laws
I hope that it is ok that I am adding two. I may add more if that is ok.
Bast had changed back into a small cat again. She'd blend in with the other cats of the temple if it wasn't for the fact that Sara had decided to keep her under close surveillance. There would be no more being surprised by naked feline goddesses. No more reminding herself eyes up eye up.
It hadn't taken Jack long to return. It seemed that the healer he had been taken to also was a 'child of the blood.' Even after meeting the other two female feline mutants, and being chucked back into the past, this still surprised Sara.
Outside the temple, the people of Bast were slowly returning. They quietly protesting the guards of Sakmet with their eyes lowered to the sand at their feet, but not listening when they were told to leave. It didn't take long before before emotions ran so high that Sara's attention was drawn to it. The small feline that was Bast sat on her temple's steps staring at the scene when Sara came up behind her.
There at the foot of the temple were her people. One young man stood before the soldiers of Sakmet. His defiant chin raised high even though his eyes still wouldn't meet theres'. One of Sakmet's men raised his weapon at the man'd neck.
Adrenalin pumped through Sara's body. She was positive she could take Sakmet's men and so she moved to dive down the steps onto him only to hit an invisible wall that knocked her to the ground. Sakmet's men were screaming orders and so was Sara but her words echoed right back into her face off of the invisible force field. Again she tried to break it but it walloped her back to the temple platform. Mean while the cat that was Bast just sat there on the top step of her temple with her tail twitching.
"What is this?" Sara yelled at the cat. Mean while Sakmet's men collected two more of Bast's followers. Spears and longs sword like blades raised to them as well. "Stop them!" Sara demanded again. Her words reverberating off of the wall and assaulting her ears again. Mean while Bast acted as though she couldn't hear Sara. Just like the rest of Bast's followers couldn't seem to hear her either.
Sara could take them. She could save them just like she saved Jack if she could just get through. Jack was at her back. Watching as she beat her fists against what seemed like echoing air. The soldiers pulled back their weapons and Sara doubled her efforts to get through the front entry way of the temple. all this time, not even the followers of Bast looked her way and her efforts were unnoticed and to top it all off Bast was still there. Sitting there. Doing nothing. NOTHING.
Sara didn't understand the situation as Bast's people wouldn't fight back either. Sakmet's men were out numbered. There was no fight like Sara so desperately wanted to see. either from Bast's other followers for from herself. There was just a slaughter. Bast's people fell dead before the rest.
The restaurant had made her feel like she was at home long before she had one. Sweet and sour, egg foo young, Moo Goo Gai Pan, fried ice cream, Mongolian beef, pork, chicken, fish..... SHRIMP! She was to prideful to admit that she drooled now and then. So shoot her. She wasn't purrrfect. No one was.
She pushed back on him, and he managed to rake his claws across her upper arm and below her collar bone. Dangerously too close to her neck for comfort. Nonetheless she was successful in pushing the other mutant off of her and enough distance away from herself that she had some breathing room to figure out her next move.
Fore a moment, Sara had dropped to the ground next to the wall she'd been pinned to. Her feet went under herself with a quick twist. She was on her feet with little trouble. "What kids?" Sara spit back. Under normal circumstances, she might have kept her cool and stopped to figure things out. She might have even forgiven Aurion for raking his claws across her and the open wounds that they had left that were now slowly inching their way closed. Really her biggest issue that she had with this other reptilian mutant was that he just killed, not only a good client of hers, but someone she liked enough almost to call him a friend. Almost...
Oh and Sara had gotten the unworded message from Aurion. His teeth bared and her head tilted as he growled at her. Her lips curled showing only the tips of her long elegant feline fangs. Ears flattened against the back of her head. Slowly she stalked across the building floor keeping the same distance between them as her eyes watched Aurion's tail whip back and forth. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Sara's nose wrinkled as she continued to glare at the not so good Mr Moor. She had mixed feeling about Pluto lieing to Donovan. Then again part of her wondered if Donovan had told symilar things to his girls- Oh Heck no they weren't his girls! They weren't his girls. They never were and the fact that Sara's mind had stirred up that wording disturbed her as much as the current situation. Sara had once been called someone's property. She'd spent most of her child hood learning that she wasn't her own, but someone's and not by family or choice.
The sound of Pluto's doppleganger crashing into the building distracted Sara for a moment. Distracted Donovan too and the two of them turned to look at what might as well have been a train wreck.
Turning back to the business at hand Sara extended the claws in her left hand. "I'll do it." What ever was left of the color in Donovan's face, had faded. Donovan turned to run and Sara let him get as far as a car again. She toyed with him only for a second or two, letting him put the car between them. One hop braught Sara onto the roof of the car. A second hop brought her down, clawed feet first, on top of Donovan. They disappeared momentarily behind the car. There was the sound of a scuffle for a second. Maybe two. Then nothing.
'Mean' Pluto had just said that she would get mean. Mean had nothing to do with the actions that Sara felt that she should take, though she was sure that the term 'Mean/' was just a implication that Pluto had chosen to use. It still urcked her. She wasn't mean. Donovan Moor had involved her in, not just another crime, but a crime that she could hardly put words to in her mind.
Pluto had come up beside Sara and Sara's right ear twitched with frustration. Donovan had been told that he could live and maybe to kill him would be a 'Mean' thing to do, but Sara still wanted justice once she'd gotten him to talk. The more that Sara stood there with her thumb twitching against his throat, the more that it felt like justice would be complete if she squeezed her claws through his windpipe.
Pluto called over a few of Sara's other clientele who were skilled in moving money. a Laptop came out of what seemed like no where. Sara's tail twitched irritated, but she let go of Donovan's neck and took one step back. "Go a head Mr. Moor." Sara crossed her arms. Donovan was out of reach but not far enough that if he did something stupid again, that she wouldn't be able to grab him. "What ever you decide to do, you will make the rest of my day."
Donovan eyed Sara and Pluto for a moment. Obviously not really wanting to empty his accounts but obviously in the decision between his accounts and his cash, he chose to give up his cash. He gave up three of his account numbers and weather he had more than three, Sara had no way of knowing. She chanced a quick glance at Pluto as she tried to read Donovan's heart beats. "Do you think that's all of it?" She asked Pluto.
The man at the computer chimed in. The corner of his mouth twitched up in a mischievious way. Almost the way you see a child's mouth when they know cheat code to a video game. "I could always empty all accounts that have had transations with Mr. Moor's and leave an obvious trail back to his."
I know that I've gone completely MIA for the past few weeks. I'm very sorry about that. I keep thinking that I am going to get time to post with my ongoing scheduled but between the computer that I have access to slowly dieing and becoming slower and slower, and Ayesac and I trying to figure out times that we can fight with it for just simple things like email, (Witch has become a real chore at time.) the fun things like MRO keep getting pushed to the back burner. I know that I'm in We The Slug People that is a group thread, and if people haven't moved on in that one yet, please do. If I can find a way for Sara to jump back in that one later and I have the time, I may do that. But for right now, I can't keep putting people off.
I miss at least chatting with people very much. Just know that we are all doing fine on this end.
I have an interview today for my CNA program and hopefully by Monday evening I will know if I am accepted. I'm trying very hard not to count my chickens before they hatch.
Also the next two Weeks are becoming crunch time for my volunteer work because I am the assistant to the director of volunteers who is not only organizing the next show, Legally Blond the Musical, starting to organize a second show that will overlap with the first one, and organize a golden globe style award show for 1500+ volunteers from this past season that will take place in two Weeks. I just finished editing one video for the volunteer celebration and I should finish the second today but there is still a long list of things that he needs including having me finish stuffing all of the invitations to the volunteers.
So to sum things up better, if I do not get posts out to people this morning, it might be a few days before I have a chance.
