The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Xavia. Not just because I am Bias in knowing her in real life but because she has well thought out descriptive posts and I love being a hopeful, hopeless romantic. Oh there you are.
Aurion. Aurion is fun to read and fun to post with. His character is different with well thought out personality traits and speech patters. Hunting the hunter and Fangs, Claws, and Broken Laws
I hope that it is ok that I am adding two. I may add more if that is ok.

I know I've only been back for a little while, but I've been reading a lot of threads, and there are two people I'd like to nom as well! (totally not copying Were >.>)
The first person is: Elke! The hilarious, little bugger. She is a constant source of laughter and amusement, and really endearing underneath all of that swearing and audacity and stuff... Well, if you haven't read any of her threads yet (shame on you!), I definitely recommend:
The Coolest Kids on the Block! A delightful meeting between Elke and Kait. Elke's thoughts and internal monologues tickle my heart. :3
[AoS] Time for the Main Event!, in which a post-apocalyptic Elke battles Jezebel/Penelope in Roach's Pit! Her writer is very vivid and talented with descriptions, and I think this battle really highlights some of that. Also, the ending is...well, read the thread.
[AoS] A Bitter Pill, where Elke is suspended from a ceiling, watching a horrific battle between Andrea and Saph, whilst Megan and Roach "catch up." Not only will you find yourself cheering for Elke in this, you will also find yourself clutching your heart because, well...it'll be breaking. Seriously.
This last thread segways to the next person I'd like to nominate: Roach! We know him as the Pit Master and the thing that creeps around in our nightmares. We also know him to be quite fashionable. But in AoS, I think his transformation into an inhuman, truly monstrous creature is very scary, and very well written. It's not easy to play a complete psychopath, but his writer nails it. I found myself simultaneously writhing in fear and applauding Roach's writer as I read some of his threads. Besides "A Bitter Pill," I'd also recommend:

Aly
Before I make my new nomination, I want to actually second a present nomination.
When I put AoS into motion, Roach hit the ground running and he never really stopped. Roach was present in a bevy of the Pit Battles, and as Alice has made very clear with her nominations, he added to the emotional aspects of AoS with "A Bitter Pill" and "Hell and Hope. Buried, Burried."
The one thread I'll add to that nomination would be Raiders of the Lost Nuke where he is leading his group of Raiders in an attempt to bring AoS to peace through death.
OKAY. So continuing the pattern set here, I have a second nomination.
We were missing her for so long while she was kept from MRO against her will, but she has returned (pardon the pun) with a bang!
Kaitlyn!
Since her return, the pint-sized firecracker has been busy. With a need for more education, the girl is making a huge change and finding herself as a student of Xavier's School!
Post-Tour Stress Disorder Kaitlyn is welcomed to the Mansion by a familiar face, and walks through the halls of the hated X-Men's home for the first time.
And it is very important not to look at extracurriculars! Kait has given the site a political mutant manifesto in A Briefing on Radical Mutant Philosophy, which is quickly becoming required reading for all those who support the Homo Superior Agenda!
It is still early in the month, and I fully expect more fantastic things from Mr. Roach and Miss Mini Faust!
