The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

((so sorry, last week of school {Sko, you suck} so I've still got to deal with that...plus, computer=dumb piece of poo))
Fade laughed. "Didn't take me too long." When Nika mentioned Fade's mismatched eyes, she immediatly looked down and laughed, kind of upset that she had lost the speed of her eye color. "I so hate it when this happens." With that, she pulled out a mirror that she kept in her wallet, just for this purpose and watched as now one yellow eye turned green and after the next blink, the other eye followed. After fixing this, she looked back at Nika with pink eyes and asked "They all good now? I hate it when that happens, happens so much! Sometimes, I don't even realize it, and I went days without changing it, once like I'm guessing it was a full week before I figured out why people were staring at me funny. Thanks."
Skoliro entered the conversation, always fun to have another. "No, we don't mind at all. I see Nika is glad to see another animal-ish mutant." She joked. "How have you been?"
Fade nodded until Nika started to talk about her lack of brain power. A serious face swept across Jenny as she ferciously held in her laughter. Did she know what she was saying? No brain power? It was decided, she was cool. Glad that was settled. Then she caught her own mistake and Jenny could finally let out that supressed laugh.
"Oh God! I'm sorry, that was really funny! I didn't know how long I could contain my posture. Phew!" She rubbed her green eyes and when they opened again, they were purple. She let out another laugh and wiped her right eye, closing it before she did so. When her right eye opened, it was an odd gold-ish-yellow color and her left eye remained purple until she blinked again. Then her left eye turned that gold-ish-yellow color while her right eye turned red. SHe hated it when one eye blinked and changed colors because she never noticed unless someone pointed it out or unless she happened to walk by a mirror, then she would have to figure out which eye was laging behind.
She heard a small noise and looked past Nika. It was another...another animal-looking mutant. Boy was Fade outnumbered. She waved to him after recognizing him slightly from the fusionist escape. She didn't believe she had gotten his name but who could forget his features? "Hi." She stated, still slightly laughing from Nika's response to the telepathy...statement...?
"Very cool. I've always thought that was a cool mutation." She stated, meaning the cat-like appearance and senses. "Yes, I do know Daria. We don't know eachother as well as I wish we did, but truth is, we rarely ever see eachother and when we do, we're taking care of...well, incidents."
"Don't be sorry for not knowing the place. If you did know that Daria and I have met, I would be a little freaked out...unless you said that you were a telepath or some kind of future past see-er." She then reconsidered what she had said. Well, Jenny, that made no sense. What if she is a telepath or a future past see-er. Great, then she knows I am questioning whether or not she is taping into my mind...and now...what if she is? Stop thinking, Jenny, be blank in the mind. Completely stupid, just like how you're used to... With that, her mind shut off, well, in terms of ridiculing herself and she focused back on the conversation.
It felt odd to be called Jenny again. After all, there were only two people that had called her that since she lived at the mansion, Tricity and Raph. However, she knew that she needed to get accustomed to a real name as she would need to introduce herself as human instead of mutant in the future. "Oh, well, Nika, welcome to Xaviers, well, the sister school at least."
She paused as she did count how long ago it was that she had come to the mansion. "I've been here for a little over a year. It's the only place I call home. You'll love it." She shook her hand, glad to see that she wouldn't cause harm from touch. Never make assumptions with a mutant's powers, even if they look like...nevermind...
"So." Fade said, pointing to Nika's ears. "You a cat-girl mutant, I take it?"
The young woman took her hand off the wall and began to turn her nails invisible and then visible...invisible...visible. After getting bored with that, she focused and turned her skin invisible, showing her muscles. She then proceeded to turn that invisible too to show her bones, but she lost her interest when she turned a corner and bumped into another mutant. An unfamiliar mutant.
Goodness, this school sure got alot of new people that she hadn't met yet. For all Fade knew, this other character in front of her could have been living here for a while just Fade had never noticed. There were quite a few students, after all. After regaining her balance Fade spoke. "Oh no, totally my spot, I was a little..." she looked down at her hand and quickly turned it back to normal. "...mesmerized."
With that, she began to introduce herself. "I've never seen you before." After another second, she realized that she needed to state her name like any intelligent being would. "My name is Jenny but only a select few ever call me that. I merely go by Fade. Are you a new student or am I really that socially deprieved? Probably choice B, huh?" She chuckled. Sometimes people would shake hands, but considering how this was a mansion for mutants and there are those that can't be touched, she refrained.
The minute sound of someone walking echoed quietly down the hallway. Fade had a 'day off' a day that she didn't have to deal with alot of...well...things she'd normally deal with. This day was particularily...to be honest, boring. She didn't know where anyone was and the only people that she saw were people she didn't know. There were alot of new people...and because Fade had kept herself occupied with Deathstar, Raph, and her missions, she was not able to meet these new people and introduce herself.
As she walked down the hall, her memory took over and she engulfed herself in the memory of the first time she saw the mansion. It must have been maybe a year ago ((that just dawned on me, that I've been here for more than a year...)) that she attempted to hop the fence, not knowing that there were security measures to keep anyone from doing this. Goodness... she was a mess when she came, hair all matted up and greasy, little clothes to wear. Then again, she didn't have a home. This mansion has been her home, the only one she ever had. Of course, she has lived in houses and in locations, but none of them ever amounted to being called her home.
So she walked, quietly humming a tune that she had heard someone else singing, even though she didn't know the lyrics, she just hummed the tune (way off how the song is originally). She ran her fingers on the walls, ignoring her nails as they phased through and the skin on her fingers were able to touch the cool surface. Just waiting, for something, anything, anyone...
"Wait, wait, the darker portion? Didn't you cut that off when you came here and did not go back? How would going back to face it really make it go away when it has not been here since you came?" She asked. Why would he want to go back to his past to cut-it off? It was already cut off, there was no more cutting left, or at least, that's how Fade saw it. "God, now I'm confusing myself."
She acknowledged the offer for a massage, but now she was curious and the thought a massage seemed somewhat less appealing than it normally did, especially since the ones that Raph gave her were so good. Then again, she never had anyone else massage her.
She smiled as he stated that he was looking for her room. "Well, ya found it." She smirked as she pointed to the door he was leaning on. "What do you have to do in town?" Curious, yes, as she should be. Curiousity compliments her character and she wanted to know why her boyfriend was not to be at the mansion for a couple of days.
"Oh! I didn't even say good morning!" She blushed in a forgetful embarassment before she leaned in and kissed him. Following her kiss, she stated "Good morning." With a small chuckled.
"Not much going on in this thing." She smiled after poking her head and making a funny face. It was too early and if you ever caught Fade when she was this tired, she was actually wide awake, yet tired. It is complex. "Just thinking about the normal stuff. You know, about now how missions are gonna be considering how we're X-Men and not just tag-alongs."
She then saw that he was not looking the same, well, maybe she was seeing things but she knew when something was on other people's minds. What those thoughts were, she had no clue and guessed they were the same as her's, but asked just in case. "What about you, got something going on behind your, well, now normal colored eyes?"
Fade smirked as he did not react violently, only turned again and continued to, apparently, look for Jenny. She she touched him with her foot. He then did something odd with his eyes and they turned green. He looked up and saw her, stating that he saw her.
"Oh, you're no fun." She complained jokingly as she let go of the ceiling with her feet, swung them down, then let go with her hands and dropped to the ground gracefully, all the while turning visible again. "Couldn't get back to sleep, even though it's too early. What's your excuse?" She asked, looking at him through her grey eyes...well, now they're black, now they're red, well, I'll just stop following her eye color.
Fade's ears picked up a sound, familiar footsteps heading her way. She turned her head to the side to see who the sounds belonged to. It was Raph. Although he didn't seem to notice her. At first, she hid her face as if it was a game and as he walked past her, she turned invisible and climbed onto the wall. Then she trailed behind him and saw that he went straight for her room. Wonder why he passed me just to go to my room? Must be something on his mind. She pondered.
A smirk crossed her face and she could not help herself. She reached out her hand and gave him a little push. Well, it was a little push for him but it took alot of her strength since his metalic...blood? made him much heavier than normal. After the small push, she shot back against the wall and scuttled to the ceiling, hoping that she didn't catch him too much off guard as to turn around and hit her in the face. Better safe than sorry, so she was perfectly fine retreating to the ceiling to possibly try it again, with her foot, as long as she knows he won't do something regretful and find her without realizing that it was Fade. That would not be too much fun.
Fade had been tossing and turning in her bed, not wanting to wake up, she hated waking up 'early'. However, no matter how comfortable she got, no matter how long she relaxed and kept her eyes shut, she could not doze back off. Reluctantly, she rose from her bed and walked out of her room, still in her pajamas.
Yes, she was wearing her dancing pants again, her most comfartable, leopard print pants. However, she wore a black cami as a top and her red hair fell lightly on her shoulders. Without any rush, she walked down the hallway, running her claw through the wall without leaving a trace. A yawn escaped her and she shook her head and smiled as it, in a way, woke her up.
After the yawn, she decided to go to the kitchen, or at least try and get there. She was still tired and did not understand why she could not just stay asleep. Fade never had a problem with sleeping, maybe something was wrong and she subconsciously knew that there was something other that sleep that she needed at the moment. She paused as the thought trailed through her mind and she shook it away with a chuckle, ludicrous.
"Thank you" She said as he walked off. Then she realized that her arm did in fact hurt, but she didn't really wish to go to DocProf, she had never been to an infirmary unless she'd walk in on accident, so she slowly made her way to one of the bathrooms. She turned the water on warm and grabbed a towel to help her gently wash off all of the blood. It was deep, but not too deep. She probably needed stitches, but she did not want any and as she took off her Guns 'n' Roses shirt to cover up the wound, but Raphael's voice rang in her ears and her promise to see Doc Prof. So she put back on her blood stained shirt and made her way back down to the infirmary to see if she needed stitches.
Her gaze now rested on his eyes as she was about to promise that she would sleep on it. How could she sleep when he could be in danger? Never-the-less, there was nothing she could do at that current moment. So she opened her lips and said, "I promise." And with that, she promised to sleep on it, to get her arm checked out by DocProf, and she realized that he said "We", meaning that he was going to help her find him. This brought a warm sensation through her body, it wasn't enough to make her smile, but it still made her feel comforted and like she was not alone for now she wasn't, she had a new friend that was there to help her on her quest.
She paused after hearing his stammer, but then continued on. "Ya, but I don't want anything to happen to Jaguar, I'm not going to sit back and just hope he's ok." She said, she was speaking rashly and wasn't thinking things through, but that was her fault. No one was going to stop her from that. Yet, they were welcome to join her.
