The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Ya, but I'm going to find out where and why. He's my friend and I'll be damned if I'm gonna just leave him there to be subject to whatever whoever's got him is doing." She said, her teeth grinded in anger and frustation overwhelmed her. *Breathe Fade, just breathe, you can make it through this* she thought.
"Well, I just don't know where they took Jaguar and why. It just doesn't make sense, what are they doing to him?" She said, another tear rolled down her cheek when she began thinking of why they would need him. It was a puzzling question for why didn't they just kill him?
Her eyes widened. He spoke the truth. His tone was comforting along with his words and she took them to heart. This was a place to stop running, no where was safe, not even an uninhabited island, everywhere has it's dangers but the mansion proved that it was not like other places in the sense that it housed mutants, but it was a place where mutants felt secure and felt as though they had a home, or at least she did. She didn't want to run from the mansion, it was her territory and she was not going to run from it, maybe from things inside of it, but she would always stick up for her new home, no matter what.
This guy was nice and he was really comforting her. She enjoyed his company, even though she didn't really know him, she felt like she had known him for most of her life. "I used to not have a place to live. I was when I was very little and when I was found, my family was dead, I was sent to a terrible foster family that locked me up when I grew my claws and got my power. I ran away, ever since then, I have ran. Never stayed in one spot, I've always double checked behind me and it's not the life I wanted. I lived off the streets as a thief, a wanted criminal for all of the shoplifting I had done, I probably owe SO much money to so many stores. But that's how I lived and I lived by running and I just don't want to run anymore."
"Ya, but I have ran all of my life and just never faced anything. I just wanted to help out, stop runing and face the problem in front of my with a clenched fist." She said as more tears streamed down her face. He was right, she wasn't much of a fighter, but she wanted to be, she ran too much, it was her time to come out and tell the world that she wasn't going to run anymore.
Fade recieved his hug with a slight smile as she hugged him tightly. She did need a hug and she had never gotten one before that she could remember. She got one from a friend before she ran away but she didn't remember it. This hug was good, she felt comforted, cared for, and watched over. She felt safe, more safe than she had even felt in her life.
"Thank you." She said as she choked for air before feeling the first tear roll down her cheek. "I just wish i could have done more, could have seen it happen earlier"
"Well, it's just that I watched my friend be pulled away and I couldn't do anything about it, I tried at first, but then I felt like a coward when i had to get away from the fighting and stay invisible as I continued my search for him and I still couldn't find him, I couldn't help him and it tears me up inside." She said before the smile faded and she looked down as her eyes began to sting like they did before she cried. She hated crying, to her, it was a sign of weakness and she never cried unless it was used to get herself out of a conversation with the cops or with one of her pick-pocketing victims.
"Yeah, lots of things just went on and I needed time to think and I didn't want to be alone." She said as she leaned up against a wall. "Oh, I'm so sorry, I should have said this to begin with. My name is Jenny McCullen, but I go by Fade, I'm sure you can piece together the reason for my nickname." She said as a slight smile tugged at the corner of her lips. "Might I ask who you are?"
"Please don't be startled, I just don't think I've ever seen you before and I didn't want to start any trouble or anything and I was just thinking and...just...I'm sorry." She said before turning visible. "It am just a little up tight. The fight was not very fun." She said, not meaning her cut, but she meant Jaguar.
Of course, she had to be stupid and think that this mutant couldn't tell she was there, just about everyone else has been able to see, smell, hear, or sense her, how should he be any different. Frustration came over her and she felt retarded and dumb for following him while staying invisible, she probably looked like a stalker.
She watched him leave as she cocked an eyebrow. "Well, there's a lot of short introductions here, I guess." She shrugged before sitting down against the wall, rubbing her back.
"It's cool, no harm, just got spooked." She grabbed her back and leaned back, it was a bit hard to do that, but she'd fallen from the ceiling and walls before. "I'm Jenny, but I just go by Fade. So what're you doing here anyway?" She asked, when she first began, no one seemed present, or so she thought.
Fade, spooked by the sudden appearance of a head, gasped and let go of the ceiling with her feet, followed closely by her hands. She hurtled toward the ground and tried to land on her feet, but they weren't in the right position, so she hit the floor and fell backwards. As soon as she hit, a jolt of invisibility quickly scampered up from her feet to her head and then she became visible in the same fashion. "Oh my God!" She gasped, grabbing her chest as if it was going to pop out of her chest. "You scared the crap outta me!" She sighed and got to her feet, still a little shook up, but she would be fine.
Fade made her way down the hallway, there wasn't anyone around, so why not practice what she's good at so she'll be great. She walked up to one of the walls and placed her hand upon it. Instantly, her raptor-like claws were sucked into the wall, causing no damage, only allowing her to climb up it. She smirked before kicking off her shoes, revealing the same claws on her toes and one jutting from her heel. Suddenly, she lunged forward at the wall, grabbing onto it with all of her claws. She breathed in deeply before throwing her legs out from under her and bringing them as high up as she could. They hit the ceiling and grabbed on and a second later, she rocked forward and moved her hands to the ceiling. Slowly, like a spider, she began to scuttle across the ceiling before she hit the other wall. She jumped from the ceiling and twisted her body before landing on the wall. With ease, she turned and began to scuttle to a corner where she kicked out her feet, allowing them to land on the intersecting wall and her hands followed, basically, it was a backhand spring on the wall. It was tiring, yes, but it was fun and it aided her in a quick and confusing get away, that and her power, of course.
((Sorry about my absense, major computer difficulties))
"Yeah, I got it, thought that counts, huh?" She smiled. "And I feel the same about my actions toward you." When Deathstar mentioned a wedding, Fade let a small chuckle escape her lips. "No, we're far from that, right now. Like he said, we're not gonna rush anything. How we are right now is just fine with me...and I take it him as well." She said the last part with a smirk but it turned into a large smile when he kissed her forehead.
"Yeah, I'm ready." But then it dawned on her, Deathstar was going. It didn't seem like a bad idea now that she had met Deathstar and got to know her better. It made Fade appreciate the conversation because if she hadn't of talked to Deathstar over the past few minutes, she would have been furious and outraged by her company. "You're going too?" She asked, seeming excited. "Good!"
"Oh, believe me, family is the one thing I don't have, well, family by blood." But then her past swelled her mind and she shook it away, facing life now a days, not living in the past. "Zeke? I don't have anything against him, persay, but I did want to help and was upset of how he just jumped out of no where and took hold of the situation. I haven't really meet Evie and I wasn't there to see what he did concerning her, but it sounds like it wasn't fully planned out."
"That is quite an interesting power, so you can absorb my power? That sounds like a useful gift, that's like having all powers combined in one." But she stopped talking, she saw Raph. She smiled as he placed his arm around her.
"Nothing important, just showing around the new kid. Chatting with Deathstar here. Where have you been?"
