The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Geo watched as the smoke from the cigarette Daydream gave him spread out against the glass window. What had they been doing? They were obviously about to kiss but she was taken and he wasn't trying to be that guy any more. But as he looked at her across the cab he knew that the chemistry was real. He had seen too much to think a woman of that magnitude would walk into his life on accident. He flicked the cigarette out of the cracked window before rolling it up the rest of the way.
The rain made him feel uncomfortable as is. Even if there was dirt around that was still dry, in the cab, in the sole of Daydreams shoes. He couldn't even feel the rocks in his pocket with how much water he had absorbed already. It was an eerie feeling. One he didn't like. One that made him feel very...human. As his eyes were fixed out the window, dwelling on the unsettling feeling he felt Daydreams soft hand reach out to take his. Looking back to her he couldn't help but smile. Even soaking wet from being caught in the rain she took his breath away. He squeeze back at her hands embrace though the connection was short lived as they pulled up to the Sanctuarty.
Even though the rain had slowed down Geo moved with a sense of urgency. Rushing to the golden doors he kept Daydream in tow, only releasing her hand as they entered the dry lobby. Turning to her he simply flashed her a half hearted smile. Still deep in conflict over what to do. There was a part of him that wondered why he was even conflicted. He knew how he felt when it came to the red haired woman standing beside him. They had been together long enough to be fairly certain those emotions were authentic. But there was still the matter of Emily.
"We should ugh...get dried off. This water is killing me." He shook his hair once more though in vain, water tended to merge with him the moment he hit. Though the dampness of his clothes kept them tight to his fit form, his feet barring a menacing amount of mud. He wanted to reach for her hand again though as he went to do so he found himself stopping. Settling for strolling down into the halls by her side towards his room. He wanted to say something but for the first time in a long while he was at a loss for words. It wasn't until he made it into the room that he managed to muster up something. Peeling off his wet shirt and letting it fall to the ground Geo turned to face his companion.
"Daydream I know you have this..." He held his hands up to his chest as he struggled to find the right competition of words. With a great sigh he heaved his shoulders and tossed aside the notion settling for something else.
"Look I...I've been a way about things for a long while." Still the words were difficult. "You're different. You remind me who I want to be. What I want to do with my life. You..." His voice caught in his throat. Running a hand across his face he cleared the space between the two of them. As he came up to her his hands cupped the bottom of her face. Bringing her full lips to meet his he gently pressed into a kiss. Lingering for a moment before letting his hold fall and backing up to the window. Pulling it open he sat in the inside of the windowsill. Pulling out a cigarette he searched through his pockets, almost frantic to find a lighter.
The mansion was a strange sight to behold. Though the building itself brought mixed memories. At one point, however brief, it had been his home. A shelter in a world he was certain he had no place in. Then there was the long stretch where the building housed the people he once viewed as enemies. The X-men and their equality endgame clashing against his own views at the time in the most complete of ways. But years had a way of changing things. The Order was gone, the cause was gone and Geo was trying to figure out where he started at his loyalty to the lost cause ended. He knew the mansion had some things to offer. Education and shelter to mutants who needed a safe haven. Training to stand up against those who viewed them as freaks. Geo could even say these days that he had friends living in those old walls. Events of the past had made the borders blur. Survival forcing them all to work together simply to have a future to fight over.
The elemental stood looking up at tall gates surrounding the school. A small panel housing an intercom system was built into the stone. Geo reached out to hit the call button though stopped himself. His situation was a hard one to explain. The last time he has stood on these grounds it was with an assault force. He actually faced off against the man he was coming to see. Instead the mutant decided on the more direct approach.
Walking to the edge of the path where the gravel met the grass he stepped from the path and into the open ground. On the outside of the fence. It didn't go down too far into the ground. It was only a matter of seconds after he vanished beneath the grounds surface that he reappeared on the opposite side. He waited a moment for some sort of security system to go off. Guess they weren't on high alert without a horde of angry mutants at the gate. Busting off his dirt soaked white T shirt and cargo shorts his bare feet padded up the rest of the drive.
There were a few students out. Enjoying one of the warmer days now that winter had broke, eager to get some much needed fresh air. Geo took his time, taking in the sights. The old mansion, the vast fields even the lake off in the distance. He couldn't help but wonder what sort of future the school would have held for him if he had he stayed in the walls. Had he not run off into the city before the Registration Act went into play.
As he got closer towards the entrance a few of the occupants seemed to take notice. Putting on a warm smile Geo waved to them. Putting his wild hair up into a bun as they ran for the door. He just hoped his reputation didn't proceed him. In that moment it occurred to him that maybe an ex Order member strolling into the mansion grounds unannounced probably wasn't the best idea.

The world seemed to slow down for Geo. It seemed like an eternity to him as she hopped down from the railing and crept closer to him. Her wide brown captivated his attention, locking gaze with hers. His breath caught in his throat, frozen in the moment. The soft skin of her lips seemed inviting as she drew her face closer to his. What were they doing? He hadn't wanted to be that person to get between two in a relationship. Not any more. But he felt drawn to Daydream. There was something magnetic to her, that suddenly seemed to make gravitate towards her.
Here this beautiful woman had fallen into his world. Only a day and a half between them and he found himself ready to jump into a den of wolves without a moments notice. Simply to make sure she could sleep soundly at night. His eyes closed along with hers, wrapped up in the euphoria of her fingers running along his arm. Wrapping and arm tightly around her the elemental pulled her closer. He was caught up in the moment. The feeling of her body against his, the heat of her breath meeting his. It was everything that he didn't know he needed and despite his inability to conduct electricity he felt a spark.
The spark was quickly extinguished as the sky opened up above them. He could feel the rain, more than against his skin. It was against the world around him. He could feel as the earth became numb, dampered by the moisture. As the raindrops hit his face it seemed to absorb quickly into his skin. More and more with each drop. They had barely had a moment of their eyes catching before Geo caught Daydreams knees. Hoisting her up in turn with the arm he had wrapped around her back he started in a full sprint for the closest thing resembling shelter from the sudden storm.
"Come on you gotta be kidding me..." Geo mumbled to himself as he padded through the increasingly more soaked ground. He could already feel his body starting to drink up the rainfall before the reached a wide awning covered in red fabric that blocked the rainfall. Letting her back to her feet Geo leaned into the wall, wide eyes examined the world around them as it slowly got soaked. His breath was quickened, struggling to catch up with the rush of panic and his sudden sprint.
The world was numb now. It was just him that he felt again, the water working to dampen his connection with the world. It was an eerie feeling. Like being an island in a sea of blackness. He had been so caught up in the moment that he hadn't been paying attention to the world around them. Looking back at Daydream blood rushed to his cheeks.
"Sorry. I...ugh...don't really like water." He shook what water he could from his hair as he looked to the beautiful redhead.
She made him nervous when she pulled herself up onto the railing. More out of his own knee jerk reaction than actual fear for her well being. A nervous glance was shot to the water though as she spoke his name she immediately had all his attention. A moment of realization came over him as it occurred to him that he responded to the name at all. He blinked at the thought before getting swept up in the sound of Daydreams voice.
As she spoke he looked up at her through his hazel eyes. She had an air of brilliance about her in the way she spoke even about the most horrible of their kinds history. Her words rang with an air of certainty that resonated with the elemental. Something told him that she would be just as effective writing the articles for her magazine as much as she was as a photographer. His stoic features bent into a smile as he watched her speak with her hair dancing in the air like a wild flame all it's own. Though she seemed to waver in her confidence as she came to a closing, her hands fidgeting with her clothing. The elemental chuckled slightly, meeting her gaze as she looked back again to him, pulling at this already heavy heart with her saddened features.
"I'm not torn up about the fighting. It was necessary. Had to be done to give the next generation a chance." He picked up on her being torn in her own dealings with the subject. Geo thought for a moment before reaching out to grasp her hands that played with her shirt. "World isn't full of soldiers Dreamboat. If it was the world would be a bloody place. We need writers, teachers, doctors sometimes even politicians." He paused for a moment. "We need dreamers." Reaching up to brush back some of the red hair that had switched course back into her face Geo ran his sandy hand along her cheek. Her skin felt soft and warm against his sandy hand. His hand didn't waver, holding firm to make sure he maintained her eye contact.
"Without dreamers like you there's nothing to fight for. Besides...who else is going to make me look good while doing it." His small smile beamed wide into a full blown grin. Pulling her hand to him he flipped it over to peck the back of it. She seemed to have a way of rousing the best out of him. She made him want to strive to be better. Be a better protector. Be a better mutant. Be a better person... He just had to figure out what exactly that meant to him. Not yet, but with any luck he would find his own path. The only thing that seemed for sure was that he had no idea what the future held. All he knew was that he wanted to be there, fighting for his people. That was his place.
"Just keep giving us a reason to fight." His thick voice spoke the words carefully and with meaning. Though he couldn't help but adding a quip. "But definitely keep those compliments coming. Flattery will get you everywhere Dreamboat." A practiced wink was lobbed at her followed by a playful chuckle.
Worried. A frown twisted onto the elemental's face as he looked to his companion. He was hoping that the circus would escape her mine through the day. It wasn't something that they had to worry about yet, there was still time until he went to go knocking on their door. But he couldn't blame her. There was a mutant hunting freak show that wanted to recruit them. One way or another. Her being lost in thought certainly wasn't making it any better. He decided to let the topic slide.
"On occasion. Only been here a few tine since I got back. But I don't come here for the park." Turning back he realized that Daydream had snapped a photo of him. "No, you take a good photo." He rolled his eye at her before turning back to guide her along with him, his hand pressed slightly on the small of her back. They made their way towards the water. As the time was getting later the park was more scarcely occupied, there was only a few other people walking the waterfront besides themselves. Geo stopped at the railing.
He couldn't help but get a familiar eerie feeling from the water before them. He could feel the ground drop off before him, leaving a void. Blank space where he simply felt...nothing. But what was beyond the water was what held his direction. The copper statue sitting out in the water seemed so small from where they were but to Geo he could see it like it was yesterday.
"There." He pointed out to the Statue of Liberty out on the glistening water. "This is as close to her as I like to go. She reminds me of the first time I fully embraced who I am. A mutant. It was right after they started hording mutants into camps. Group of us went on a joy ride and..." Absently he sent a stone sailing out into water making a satisfying noise as it hit the water. It was subtle, nothing that would get picked up on. Watching the ripple though he shuttered at the thought. He'd had several encounters with the most terrifying aspect of his mutations. Water was something that instilled great dread in him. Poetically enough it surrounded the monument he held to that very ability.
"It was a different time...but it that moment I knew who I was. You know?" His voice trailed off as he spoke. Looking from the gilded lady on the water to the beauty next to him he couldn't help but smile slightly. The burnt golden light of the lowering sun caught against her pale skin in a way that took his breath away.
"That's all we can do is tell ourselves." Geo chuckled in response to his opponent. "There are worse places to be from. Midwest myself. Ohio, grew up on the edge of the city and the farmland. Interesting duality to it, I shook up that town." He laughed at his private joke before working his way around the table. Hazel eyes analyzed the table trying to figure his next shot. Chances were with a bit of luck he could sink the 8 after a few well placed shots, but he wanted to see what the kid had.
Lining up the cue ball he propelled it into the cluster. Breaking the clot apart and giving the table some breathing room. The cue ball scratched while the rest dispersed a bit and Geo returned to his perch.
"I've known worse ways to make money." He spoke to Grav Bombs idea as the elemental watched his opponent across the table. "Trick is the set up. You gotta lose a few to win one big one. Then hoof it. Folk don't much like it when you swindle their earnings. Though something tells me between the two of us they'd have a hell of a time catching us." His gravelly voice sounded off a laugh again. The thought of Geo diving into the ground while Max floated off into the atmosphere leaving angry bar goers in their wake. Of course for all he knew the kid could be a pro and Geo'd be none the wiser. He used to get by on younger looks to get false reads from people all the time.
She was quiet. At least she had seemed so since their photo shoot had ended. The Taxi was approaching the park. It had been a few minutes they were driving while Daydream seemed preoccupied with something else. In another world or something. Though he supposed that was the nature of who she was. He thought that he had trouble staying in his own head. This girl had that to the most literal of degrees. He couldn't imagine what it was like to just be awake mentally at all times. That had to be taxing on the mind, everyone needed to reboot now and then.
The elemental watched her from the opposite end of the cab. He studied her features as she watched the bustling city around them. It had been fascinating to him as well when he moved from his Mid-Western life. This little Georgia peach was far out of her element. Though she seemed to be adapting. As best as a young mutant could adapt to the world they lived in today. He had to remind himself that there was still much more he hadn't known about the woman. They had only known each other thirty six hours tops. Though it felt like it had been much more. Time seemed to hold still while this beautiful woman was in his life. He hadn't found himself doing much aside from wandering the streets when he had first came back to the city. But she gave him something else, for some reason he felt more purpose while she was around. Like he was useful, more than just a weapon in a war.
She was just as breath taking as ever just sitting against the bland black seat of the car. It took a lot for him to refrain from his usual advances, especially in such enclosed quarters. Daydream was there within arms reach, an enchanting creature who seemed to carry the world along with her. Geo sated himself with simply being in her presence. It figured that the first woman he comes across who captivated him in such a way was spoken for. The thought pushed into the back of his mind as the massive metal structures gave way to lush greenery.
Liberty State Park was not like some of the other Parks in New York. Though it was still spotted with trees the majority of it was made up of wide open fields that ran all the way to the waterline where they met the open water separated by a railing. The sun sat low over the water, causing the surface of the bay to glisten. Out in the distance on a small chunk of land between New York and Jersey stood the Statue of Liberty. As they came to a stop Geo slipped some money into the box on the plexiglass and stepped out. He turned to hold a hand out to help Daydream out as they stepped into the crisp air of the waterfront. Here the air of the city wasn't quite as thick. Wafts of fresh air blew in from the open water, bringing with it the scent of the sea and the squawk of annoying waterfowl.
"You feeling okay Dreamboat. You seem distracted" Concern crossed his face as he shot an inquisitive look at the bombshell.

Devon seemed nonchalant in his brief example of a solid move. Something to give mutants a foothold and build some leverage on the home front. With anyone else that would just be small talk. Big words that carried no weight, like a bunch of rebellious teens talking about overthrowing the government. But the words coming from a man in an actual position of power carried a whole other set of implications. A spark of hope in the system that had come to rule the place he called home. Geo stood in turn as Devon made his way around the table.
"Bait and switch sort of deal? Oh look at what they're doing over there! All the while mutant kind makes a solid move that gets us a foot hold. Better to be on the first step of a latter you want to climb than halfway up one you don't want to be on." It was something he had believed in fully. The system in place was wrong, warped and corrupted. Beyond repair at this point. At first perhaps it was a good idea but years of human nature had corrupted it. Turning into a pale shadow of it's formal self, a mocking system that's founder rolled in their graves.
As Devon started to get usher him towards the door Geo stretched fulled. His toes wiggled against the carpet as he did so. Grabbing his over-sized backpack he stood and made his way back into the lobby.
"Mostly I prefer to sleep with the ground around me. There's a sizable bit of clear space under the courtyard I used to shape my own slice of heaven into." He never had visitors under the Earths surface so he was able to get by with a small bit of cleared space. "Of course it wouldn't hurt to have an actual room on hold. Rain can make it...difficult to move around in the dirt like I wanna sometimes."
"Spoil sport." Geo teased as Daydream tucked her camera away and shrugged off his arm. Tucking his hands into his pockets he stood admiring her for a moment while her back was turned. It was fun to get too see her at work. The girl he had assumed at first to be some sort of nosy P.I. types had turned out to be a tried and true artist. At least in Geo's opinion. The way she orchestrated the shots and angled the camera it was hard to not watch her directly. Gorgeous, sweet, braver than she realized and an artist to boot. This girl was definitely the whole package. It was a shame she was taken, a younger Geo wouldn't have been hindered by such information but he was trying to turn a new leaf.
Geo stepped forward as her voice caught in her throat though stopped dead in his tracks at the sound of another voice. A worker, up by the foremans office yelling down at them. A snarl formed on Geo's face at first. Ready to give the human a piece of his mind though he stopped. Looking over to his companion he let the look drop from his face as she called out to him. When she grabbed his hand to drag him away he added.
"Won't happen again sir!" He let out a hardy laugh as they exited out the opposite side, where they had came from. As they made their way out of the blockade Geo held Daydream's hand tight as long as she allowed him. They fell into pace with the street easily, fading back into the faceless crowds of New York. Once they were a block away Geo pulled her into a small notch in an old brick building housing a iron barred door. Away from the crowd they could actually talk for a moment. It was impossible to try and communicating the bustling streets of New York.
"Okay now it's my turn. I'm going to show you my favorite spot in New York." Walking out into the street Geo hailed a cab, careful to keep his legs behind a parked car. It was hard to get a cab when they thought you were homeless. It only took a few minutes before a yellow sedan stopped for them. Holding open the door for Daydream Geo followed in after her. Once settled he pulled himself up to the plexiglass.
"Liberty State Park my good man." Falling back into the seat he turned back to the redhead flashing her a wink.
Hit by a car. Not exactly uncommon in New York. Most people considered it a right of passage. But it wasn't every hit that put you out of commission for a whole year. Geo clicked his tongue while shaking his head. Showing displeasure in hearing of the unfortunate incident.
"Must have been a hell of a blow to the noggin to put you out of commission for that long. Glad to count you among the living." Geo had taken some heavy blows but he'd never been knocked down for that big of a count. He could only imagine the confusion of waking up to that. Slowly he worked his way around the table. Accessing how to confront the cluster. He clicked his stick as he went, deciding that with the right angling he could get a solid shot on the 11 ball. Kneeling down he ran his eye level with the wall. Deciding the point of attack he made a mental note of the gold marker on the stained wood of the table and moved to the opposite side.
"Well you have another friend now Bomber. What parts of down south you from?" Lining up his shot he took his time, carefully aiming for the golden dot he had mentally marked. Not putting too much force in Geo sent the cue ball forward. It bounced on point with his aiming, careening to gently knock the 11 ball into the corner pocket. Heaving a sigh Geo stood back up, watching as the cue ball came to rest.
It was interesting watching Daydream go to work. She seemed to be seeing things and angles Geo hadn't thought of. He contently watched as she worked, making sure to look away from the camera when prompted to. As he let his hair down he shook out some loose sand that had built up in his hair. A constant problem for years now. Fighting a losing battle. He grew visibly more excited when she gave him permission to kick it up a notch. Without a second thought the ground under him rose up, lifting him to gently step onto the rock with minimal effort. Turning to face the girl.
"Happy to oblige." He focused his pull on the stone beneath his feet. It was a new trick he had been working on. He didn't really like heights so it wasn't something really practical as much as showy. It took a moment but the stone lifted off of the ground lifting himself along with it. The elemental tried to maintain a cool exterior as the ground dropped beneath him. He held it steady when he reached roughly five feet above the ground.
Careful to keep his hold stable he slowly began to break away at the rock beneath him. Bit by bit it crumbled away. As chunks fell away Geo caught them up in his hold as well, keeping them in a steady orbit around where he floated. He continued this again and again until he stood on a thin shard of the stone surrounded by a flurry of broken down stone that continued to crumble into smaller pieced.
As he started to get more uncomfortable with the distance he lowered himself down slowly, resting the stone slab he was standing on in the soft dirt. The elemental heaved a great sigh as he let the stones fall around him. Taking a moment to run his feet in the dirt he basked in the feeling of solid ground beneath him.
"There's sorta two aspects I can work with." Geo explained as he rolled his shoulders, centering himself back in the clearing they were using. "There's the part where I control the earth. I speak and she listens, it's like moving a limb." Holding out his hands he bunched the stone back together. They rumbled and crunched as Geo pressed them back into a rough shape it originated from. Rolling it to the side Geo placed a hand against it, using it to hold himself up as he crossed his leg against his opposite shin. As he spoke he admired Daydream in her element. He fiery red hair shined in the open daylight.
"Then there's the part where I am earth. I'm a part of it, made up from the same stuff from what I've found out. But I can add to it." Reaching over as he stood straight Geo reached over and pulled off a piece of the stone, easily as tearing off a piece of clay. Taking the handful he pressed it into his opposite hand. The material crunched as it built onto his hand. The gray solid rock merged into his flesh, adding to it and building on top of it. He held out his arm to display it for a moment before gathering the sand around him to fill in the rest of his golem formed arms. At full length his knuckles now nearly dragged on the ground and doubled his width. He hoisted the limbs up, flexing both dramatically in an impressive massive display of stone.
Reaching over Geo picked up the boulder in his hands, lifting it as though the weight was near nothing. With a bit of balance, and some terrakenisis though Geo'd never admit it, he held on hand as high as he could above him, allowing the other to drop. With one arm he held the large boulder above him for a moment before letting it fall back behind him. As it hit the ground harmlessly and rolled away the material crumbled away from Geo's arms leaving them at their normal state.
The elemental strolled over to the photographer, throwing a dusty arm over her shoulders as he flashed he a toothy smile.
Geo had felt the spot before they had seem it. Long tall makeshift walls ran along the street, blocking the street from the messy construction site. It wasn't hard to slip into. The sun had dried out the earth nicely, making it sensitive to his call. The ground shivered as his bare feet hit the dirt. The elemental closed his eyes, feeling out the area around them as he felt Daydream footsteps carrying on ahead.
"This dirt ok for you?"
Gathering the dirt at his feet Geo propelled himself past Daydream rapidly, going past her and into the depth of the site where they had mountains of dirt set aside from digging the foundations. Now this was how to live in New York.
"I think it'll work. Yeah." Geo joked through a hearty chuckle. His powers didn't seem to be too picky when it came to the ground he worked with. For the most part top soil and the minerals found commonly in it seemed to always make a fine conduit. Same with stones and rocks around the area, his main issue was the refined earthly materials. As the redhead started giving him instructions Geo happily sauntered into place. He always found himself being in a much better.
"Whenever you are gorgeous. Hair up or down?" He gestured a dusty hand to the small bun atop his head. She was the artist here, he wanted to make sure he was a cooperative subject for her. Following her instructions he let the ground around him stay stagnant while he crossed his arms. Going for a tough contemplative look he watched the skyline for a few moments, making sure to angle his jaw just so. The then crouched down, arm resting on his knee as he ran his hand in the loose sand that covered the area around him. He reached down as far as he could, feeling the ground through a bare palm he held to the ground. Closing his eyes always helped when he was using his element to observe the world around him. He opened up his eyes with a smile on his face as he came across something interesting below the surface. Scooping up a handful of the dirt and let it slide between his hands into the wind. As the last of it left his hands he theatrically dusted off, giving Daydream a playfully impatient look.
"So can I start showing off yet?" He stomped his foot and reached down his hands as if grabbing something before hoisting them over his head. The ground shook around them as it shifted. Not in abundance but enough to notice as the sand shook loose from the large piles surrounding them. The sand below him churned around him as slowly a large gray stone slowly surfaced under Geo's feet. Once it was fully to the surface Geo closed the ground below it. He beamed down at the redhead hoisting up an arm to make a dramatic flexing pose.
"It takes a lot of minerals to make beauties like these." Geo hopped off of the rock landing softly in the sand. Turning around he tapped it lightly before leaning against it. "Most of the stones I use are hardened dirt, some minerals for structure. It would take me a bit to make a monstrosity like this." He spoke proudly. It was always easier in a pinch to make his own stones but ones like this made of primarily minerals were his favorite. They felt different, like they had a slight buzz to them.
Geo blinked down at Xavia. Heaving a large sigh as the woman seemed to plead with him. Fighting with some unspoken relationship that apparently he had missed the memo about. Gesturing between himself and the woman he spoke. A heavier tone reaching his thick voice. Emphasizing his seriousness.
"This isn't a thing. You don't know me from Adam." As she took a step forward he backed away, turning slightly to cut off the body language between the two. "You say we have some sort of connection but we don't. Outside of what? Baser instincts? You're a plant. I'm dirt. That's just science." If he had known her more than an hour then maybe it would be something different. But the last time he had been approached by a female elemental in such a manor it wasn't what he had thought.
"We literally just met. You tell me you're the mother to the daughter of one of my best friends! Then I walk you home, you beg me to stay and then..." He gestured at the couch once more. On her relationship with the clone on it's own was enough to turn him away from the notion. "What I would like is to not be in that situation."
The myriad of emotions on Daydreams face pulled at Geo's heartstrings. He saw a young mutant. New to this war torn world that he wanted nothing more than to shield from the same torturing experiences he had gone through. The boy he was when he first got exposed to this world was miles away. It was another life. But here and now he had control. He could effect her future.
"Which is why you will be staying." He cradled her head, as she held it against his chest. Never in his wildest dreams could he imagine what must be going through her mind. It was taxing on her. He could tell. But he wasn't going to start lying to her now. She stood there against him for a long moment though not nearly long enough in Geo's opinion. As she stepped back, fluttering her gorgeous eyes at him he stared at her for a long moment. Taking in the woman in front of him he heaved a large sigh. In the chaotic world she seemed to bring along with her he kept forgetting what a vision she was. Her hair had been what caught his attention at their first encounter. But the more they spent time together it seemed like more and more about her seemed to pop out at him. Her beautiful brown eyes that stared into his soul. Pouty lips that tempted his morals. As his eyes ran her over her figure he felt pangs in his heart. That was just the wrapper that encased the quirky bit of crazy that was the truly enchanting feature to the woman that captivated his attention.
His heart got him into dangerous places. Falling too quick into places he ought not belong. Especially with a taken woman. Rolling his eyes the dust covered man shrugged back into his carefree demeanor. Chuckling he fluttered his eyelids at her jokingly before pulling out a cigarette. As he crossed the room to the window he stopped to plant a kiss on top of her head.
"We have more important issues at hand though gorgeous." His thick voice carried a playful tone. Lighting his cigarette he opened the window and turned to lean against the frame. He made sure to get caught trying catch a glance at the back side of her before she turned completely around. Though played it off like he was looking at the ceiling when he got caught. Chuckling a little bit he tossed her a wink. Didn't want her to go around getting the impression he was a hero or something.
"You and I have a date with a bunch of dirt Dreamboat. I'm thinking we find one of these abandoned construction sites and go have some fun."
By the time they had finished their meal and hit the street the New York foot traffic was in full swing. Geo fell into the crowds pace as he tucked his sandals back into the back pocket of his pants, letting his feet connect with the firm concrete. It wasn't dirt but it was better than the soles of footwear. He kept close to Daydream as the walked silently, always making sure she was never out of arms reach. Falling slightly behind pace so she wouldn't notice Geo kept a careful watch on the crowd.
Who knew what kind of players the circus freak had up his sleeves. Mutants came in such a wide variety it left nothing for predictability. All one could to was watch for the out of place. A hard thing to do in New York. She had accepted his demands to her staying behind with no real contest. It was peculiar. His eyes fell on the fiery hair bouncing ahead of him. It didn't fit her personality she had shown so far. Not that he could say a day was enough to access the depth of ones personality. But it rubbed him the wrong way. His eyes followed the length of her figure the rest of the way, a smile forming on his face before going back to looking around the crowd. Yup. She was worth the trouble.
Girlfriend or not. Geo enjoyed the presence of a beautiful woman. He would never actively go against her relationship. That wasn't how he liked to operate. He'd express his appreciation of her aesthetic features. Flirt lightly here and there. But the elemental never flirted simply to try and reach an endgame. He liked making people feel good about themselves. As they got back to his room Geo pulled out his back pack from the wardrobe and sat on the bed. Pulling apart a few strings he dug into it's contents, up to his elbows in the bag.
"Don't hurt'em."
He froze, looking to her while she continued on. It left Geo at a loss for words. He sat puzzled for a long quiet moment, trying to plot his words carefully. The elemental was many things in his life. But a liar he was not. He didn't want to lie to the beautiful woman who looked to him from across the room. Lying took the meaning out of the things that you say, made the next words that came out carry less weight. Heaving a big sigh he looked up at the woman as she spoke of his past. That was the thing. He didn't feel shame for what he had done. It was necessary. It was war and war came with casualties and if you weren't the one making them then you got added to the body count. He survived, so did others but only because he had fought to take the lives of those who would have taken theirs.
"Men like that can't always be reasoned with Daydream." Geo's gravelly voice spoke gently too her. Watching her through glassy eyes he slowly continued. "Did you see that little girl? The one who he used to get in our heads? Couldn't have been maybe ten or twelve. She had a family, friends. I'm sure she went to school, had crushes shoot maybe even had a dog I don't know. But she had a life outside that circus." A slight catch in his throat caused him to pause and collect himself for a brief moment. The girl had been on his mind from the moment he was her. "I'm sure she was hunted. Just like you. Was scared. Just like you. Maybe even got picked up by that Swift pervert. Just like you almost did. Only she didn't get a chance to fight." He kicked his feet off the bed climbing to his feet. In a few small steps he cleared the space between the two, making sure Daydreams deep brown eyes were fixed on his.
"As long as that man breaths I can't guarantee that he won't do that to more people."
