The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He relished in the feeling of her finger across his collar. Her sweet voice speaking his name was like music in his ear. Just recognition from her was enough to appease the young man. But she had given him so much more. Jumping slightly as she suddenly crossed the bar and sat above him he couldn't help but gape in wonder.
She was a beauty to behold. A gorgeous figure, tight clinging clothes not leaving much of her frame to the imagination. Freckles adorning her pale skin and her mismatched eyes, each more beautiful than the next. He found himself at a loss with her sudden acceptance of his advances. Becca had been a figure of his admiration since he had been picked up by the rag tag group but never in his life had he expected her to actually give him the time of day. A smile, perhaps a laugh here and there and leaving the woman with a good feeling about herself but as she sat above him, speaking softly, he found nothing but heart palpitations. A slight look of surprise came across Tristen's face as she turned to the subject of lust. His seemingly questionable intentions and chauvinistic opinion of her.
"'Hot' is hardly the words I'd use to describe a woman of your magnitude Bec." But a smile formed on Geo's face and he closed his eyes. The feeling of her breath against his hair, the sweet scent of her as he skin lingered just out of touch. His arms wrapped along her waist, his hands resting on the hem of her shirt. He could feel her hot skin under his grasp as he leaned into Becca's advance. As she seemed to dare him to reach out, have his way with her. He wanted to reach out, wrap himself into her and lock his lips into hers. It would be easy to get lost in the passion. But Geo was never one to cast aside wonder for the sake of lust.
"You want me to do what I want with you?" His bated voice spoke softly as he grew closer to her ear. The tip of his lips just barely brushing her flesh. Though he retreated. Pulling back to catch her eyes once again as his hands retracted from around her waist and found her soft hand. Holding her hand gently in both of his he closed his eyes as he brought it up to meet his lips. Softly he kissed the warm skin of her hand. The bitter smell of cleaning products cast aside in his mind as he focused on Rebecca. Wrapping both of his hands around hers he looked past their entwined hands and into her eyes.
"Let's run away. Ditch all this responsibility, this war. We'll drive off into the sunset and we'll spend the rest of our lives wrapped in a world of whimsy." A wide grin came across his face as he winked at Becca. Only half joking of course. The weight of this world was a lot for young souls to bear and the young mutant could see no better cause to throw the world to the wind than a beautiful woman like Rebecca.
He had hit the mark he had been hoping for with his double bladed question. Either way he won, a fact that apparently resorted her back to name calling. That was generally a good sign. She was flustered, though to be fair so was he. He had flirted with her time and again since he had joined the team though he hadn't realized this was the first time they had been alone during.
Tristen didn't respond to her declaration that he was obnoxious. He was more than content to set and stare into her eyes, The handful of missions they had been on had been enough to win over his infatuation. The real trick was conveying the emotions. At least doing it earnestly with the reputation he had. It was easy to write of the flirty guy as playing nice. It was another thing to get his meaning across.
His stone heart melted as she tucked a bit of red hair behind her ear. The grin was long gone from his face. Leaving him stricken by Rebecca, her intoxicating presence and the closeness that they found between them.
"See that's the thing." Geo spoke softly, choosing each word carefully. He could feel a connection, something there, and he wasn't going to let it go to waste. "I haven't met another girl like you to make me feel even remotely that way." He blinked wide eyes at her as he spoke. The words ringing genuine as the rest of the world felt like it went quiet. Reaching up with a slightly trembling hand to softly run a finger along her jawline. Smooth skin feeling warm under his touch.
"There isn't going to be a girl as entrancing as you. So why waste my time with some girl when I know there's someone like you out there." Admittedly his normal habit of flirting had been more quenched as of late. The redhead seemed to make the rest of the female population pale in comparison.
Tristen turned to sit normally at the bar while Rebecca went to restock the shelves. He'd happily sit and watch the woman work for days. She was a vision to behold. But that was considered creepy by normal culture so he appease himself with drinking her in while she went to work. Of course she seemed to cater to his admiration of her figure bending as she went to grab who-cared. He couldn't help but sigh at the lovely view though quickly averted his eyes as she turned to look at him suddenly. Her gaze caught him though. Always did.
"You keep saying that but there are always ways Bec." His playful toothy smile carved his face. He couldn't help but catch a glance down her blouse for a moment before delving back into her eyes. It almost made her more attractive when she blatantly shut him down left and right. Normally folks would have given up but Tristen was determined at the very least to win the favor of the beautiful woman. There were hints of red under her freckles that cut his smile deeper.
"So is that you admitting you'd serve me or was that you coming onto me?" He curled his brow in an inquisitive look coming across his face as he clicked his tongue. He shrugged slightly as he ran his hands across the bar to fold them neatly in front of him. Tristen held firm in his gaze as she leaned across the bar to denounce her royalty. The elemental's smile lowered for a moment while he pondered. Trying to think of a way to put his counter argument.
"Well what sort of princess would you be without some humility?" He asked simply. A small smirk forming in the corner of his mouth as he did so. Happy with his thought though he still couldn't help but adding. "I know you give me just one glance and you send my stomach into a whole mess of butterflies. Warmer feeling than any Cuervo you through at me I'll tell you that much." Leaning forward just slightly his eyes narrowed as his gravelly voice added mockingly.
Tristen held up his hands in defence as Becca approached him, taking the cigarette from his mouth. A smile formed on his face at her sudden objection. It hadn't been what he had expected but he was certainly not going to complain about the sudden closeness of the beautiful woman. He took a moment to get lost in her mismatched eyes as she seemed to linger for a moment. They had been what had sparked his initial interest in her but there was a proverbial rabbit hole behind them he was sure.
"Think the term 'Beautiful mess' seems to apply." He quipped back. He was never one to leave a woman with an insult to herself. Her referring to him as a punk though was comical. It roused a chuckle from him as she huffed away, leaving him where he stood. His eyes followed her figure as she faced away from him and he made his way over to sit in a bar stool.
A heavy sigh escaped from the mutants chest as she jabbed at walking him back to the base once she was done cleaning. He was a small town boy in a new city, it was painfully obvious. But one could be forgiven for getting lost when trying to find a secret base in such an expansive city.
"That only happened once, hey. I found this place alright." His gravelly voice spoke matter-of-factly with a slight air of pride to his achievement. All he had to do was yell at a homeless person and you might as well tattoo 'I Heart NY' on his chest. Or at least he thought. The city seemed to have many layers to it.
"I'd be happy to walk you home Princess. Just don't go expecting a good night kiss. I'm a man of principle." He added to her clear attempt to make him feel as young as he was. It didn't bother him though. He hadn't needed age on his side so far and he was getting buy alright. That was all that really mattered to him.
"You know I've been thinking about finding a nice hang out in the city here. I like this place. Dark, quiet, underground especially. Gives me a weird warm fuzzy feeling." He let the note linger for a moment, playing with the edge of the bar as he spoke though his eyes were clearly on Rebecca.
The clunk of Tristen's boots rang down the nearly vacant sidewalk as he strolled down the street. His eyes kept checking the street signs as they passed him in the night. Switching between the signs and the piece of paper in his hand he tried to navigate the new city. It seemed like a maze compared to the small mountain town he'd come from. He couldn't fathom how people lived in a place like this without difficulties. The endless grid loomed ahead, threatening to engulf him should he take a wrong turn and lose track of where he was. Of course more people would have taken a cab but the young Mutant didn't have much in the way of pocket money.
He'd managed to get a job doing door sales in his spare time. Finally finding a way to do something with his ever running mouth other than finding trouble. It had become abundantly apparent to him since he joined the team that having some money was going to be a necessity. It didn't pay to be a mutant vigilante. Let alone one that was bad at their job. The elemental still had difficulties with controlling his abilities. He had to go to extreme length to make sure he didn't come into contact with bare earth. The last thing he wanted to do was make waves for the band of mutants that had come to his aid.
Tristen was one to fall for a girl quickly. Often ready to pounce into the quickest bit of trouble at the batting of sad eyes. But Rebecca was something different. The team called her Impact but she had instantly taken a special place in the young man's heart. He already had an affinity for redheads. That was no secret where he came from, but the way the woman carried herself, so articulate and in control even among the chaos had swept his feet out from under him. So he came up to the bar he had been assured by the senior member he had asked where Rebecca worked.
Walking through the door Tristen looked over the empty, dimly lit bar. It wasn't hard to find it's only occupant. The vision of a woman caused a coy smile to form on his face as she turned to look at him. Running a hand through his sandy hair to ensure it's prominent standing position a few grains fell loose onto his black t-shirt. Brushing the residue off the shoulder of the MCR band shirt he stepped into the bar as she spoke to him. He couldn't help but get a kick out of the way her polished tone dropped at the realization that it was him.
"Well the rules have nevah really been a huge influence on what I do." He joked. Defiantly the elemental sauntered further into the bar, choosing to lean on a support beam as he admired the woman. He tried not to ogle her though her attire and poor choice of top color made it abundantly difficult.
"What the real question is here is how you can still look so amazing at the end of a shift." He winked at her as he reached down into his pocket retrieving a small paper box. "Ah yous guys aloud to smoke in bars out here?" He asked as he popped a cigarette in his mouth.

Geo watched in vain as Gavin took flight. The ground crashed down around where he had stood, carrying out empty promises of what was the elementals violent outlash. He skidded out into a pile of sand, landing softly as he turned to watch the ringleader fly out of his reach. A snarl formed on his face as he watched. Was there nothing this asshole couldn't do? The ground quaked at another peek of anger though for a moment everything seemed to go quiet and a hauntingly familiar voice from his past glanced his ear.
The blood rushed from his face in recognition of the sound. His sister had been his everything. She had been the one to truly raise him while their parents modeled neglect. He hadn't seen her in so long, hiding her away from the world he was a part of. Yet she stood before him, pale in the reflection of the frozen grounds. Long dark hair encompassing her slender tattooed fram. A warm smile on her face bringing back memories of his childhood, gems of sunshine in a sea of darkness. It didn't occur to him she might be an illusion. He didn't use his senses to approach the situation. There was only the dread of seeing his frail sister in this place of hell.
He staggered out of the pile of sand, stepping eagerly towards his sister as she slowly approached him. There was no notice from the mutant when the Cerberus broke free. His dirt covered hand reached out as his sister reached for him. In a bloody flash it was gone. The mutant stared on in horror where his sister had been just a blink before, listening as the Cerberus rushed away with her and her panicked words digging a hole into his soul. Collapsing to his knees the man wept. Lost in a sea of emotion and despair as the one true connection he had to the human world was torn apart. He didn't flinch as Gavin swooped down to attack. The long cuts on his back leaving his shirt in shambles. His eyes only jumped to attention as the S-word rang through the tent.
He turned only to stop himself halfway at getting the general shape of the new beast that had entered the game. The fear swelled in him though it was outshone. Gavin had killed the one pure thing Geo had. Or at least to him it had seemed that way. He instead faced the Cerberus, keeping the unmentionable crawley in his peripherals. Gathering control of the ground between himself at the hound Geo sprang stone pillars into existence as the beast launched at him. Wrapping each heads jowls around a pillar it struggled in frustration to break the barrier. More and more sprang up around it as Geo ran around the creature, putting it between him and his second greatest fear.
Happy with the cage he had formed around the hound Geo caught himself up in a whirl of sand and carried himself faster away from the charging spider. He had to end this, now, and it would be a cold day in hell if he were to let Gavin slip from his grasps. The elemental dropped the sand holding him and faced the charging arachnid. Holding his hands to the side he grasped as much ground as he could. Long strands sprung to life and interweaved as a net formed from the living sand and sideswiped the creature it approached him. The creature was caught up in the moving net, stuck to the will of the momentum as it was slammed into the main support for the tent.
A sharp crack rang through the tent as the red and white sky overhead shivered. It was slow at first but the canopy of the structure slowly began to collapse in upon itself. Geo watched the sky eagerly as the canopy caught the wings of Gavin Sinclair, bringing him down towards the enraged elemental. As soon as he was remotely close to the ground a giant hand of earth sprung into existence. It grasped out taking hold of the tattooed man and dragging him to the ground. As Geo approached the structure held the villain at his level, the elementals right hand slowly became engulfed in stone as his bare feet dragged through the frozen mirage.
"You got one thing wrong Sinclair." Sharp eyes glared at the ringleader through a messed mane that was Geo's hair. "You'll never control me." His enlarged stone hand reached out to wrap around the head of the villain. Muffled screams could be heard as Geo stared blankly into the back of his hand. With a swift motion he pulled Gavin by his head and slammed the villain into the floor below him. A sickening snap rang as he was driven into the ground and the tent finished its fall on top of them.
Geo emerged outside of what had been the entrance, a cold look upon his face as he watched the spectators running free of the canvas and away from him. The mutant stared after them for a moment. They had sat and watched. Watched as this freak ruined peoples lives. Cheered him on as he displayed his twisted ways. The rage still bubbled through him as he watched a group of them run into a small trailer that seemed to be a make shift home for the troup.
"Oh we're just getting started assholes!" The mutant roared as he swept up into a massive landslide. The blanket of earth tore across the circus grounds, sending shards of the makeshift structures and debris flying into the air as Geo rained his anger on the circus supporters.
Geo chuckled at Becca's jab at his New England ways. Some habits died hard and it was hard to break them. Not to mention he'd be damned if there was a better lager about than Sam Adams. It always held true no matter the years that passed though it did gain a bit of a nostalgic effect for the mutant.
"Ya know I tried once." Geo started with a snark grin as he grasped the cold glass in his hand. "But it was wicked hard." He purposely laid the accent on thick for his old friend, a small laugh following it. Taking a long first swig of the drink he relished the taste of the first drink of beer for the day. It was always the greatest. He let out a sigh as he placed the drink back down and ran his eyes over the bartender on duty.
"We can't all have that smooth English accent going. Would take away from your charm."His eyes instinctively went to her chest as she brought up her suspicions of alcohol abuse though he quickly averted his eyes back to the brew in front of him.
"Hopefully it was the top shelf stuff. Would hate to think you didn't get the best Bec." He joked as he took a smaller sip. Watching Becca pour her own drink his fingers drummed against the condensed glass in his hands, the collected water being sucked up by his arid skin.
"French teachers are generally the saucy ones. English teachers are more classy, like to be courted." He smirked as he built on her joke. The elemental was never a shy one, that wasn't a secret. He made sure it wasn't. For him it was simply about making women feel good, a simple smile it's own reward. Though he wouldn't lie that it wasn't fun when the women flirted back. But there was only one girl that had been able to hold his interest for a long period of time. Ironically enough.
"Trick of the trade though. I wouldn't expect you to know that." The shoulders on his blazer heaved a shrug as he spoke. "I don't know how to make a Johnny Vegas so call it even?"

It was another long day at the school. When he had originally thought up following the career path of a guidance councilor he had a much more glorious job in mind. Helping mold young minds, assure they made it through the struggle of life. Aiding teens in making plans for promising futures. Even his original purpose of being in a better position to help children as their powers awoke. His powers had manifested during school hours. It was a miracle no one was killed in the earthquake or his own confusion that followed.
But today was less glorious. A sex ed class for the freshman class, a drug seminar for the school. Most of his days was spend in his cramped office. Geodes and crystals lining the wall with a stack full of student files and the occasional teary eyes teen. It had been a long day and had it not been for the sand shifting around in the bottom of his loafers he was sure his feet would be sore. He was glad when he had finally gotten out of his pile of paperwork though was disheartened to see the sun already well into it's decent. Geo had hoped for a chance to go to the park, bask in the raw dirt for a while though it seemed he had to move up his itinerary.
So the mutant sauntered down the steps into the basement bar. When Becca had taken over the place Geo had been ecstatic. Booze, ground level above your head and owned by his personal favorite redhead. If he was being honest the last reason held more weight than the others though he was hardly about to admit it openly. The elemental set his briefcase on the ground for a moment and began to brush himself off. He shed sand, it was an epidemic at times though he always made sure to keep the worst of it outside of the bar. After ruffling through his hair he grabbed his case and walked into the dimly lit watering hole.
Instantly he saw Becca working the bar. Figured. The woman always seemed to be working on something. The bar was not an exception. Had Geo been more verse in mixing drinks he would have loved to help bartend. Though after the first round of jokes featuring him 'scaring off the female clientele' he didn't pursue it any further. He opted for a stool away from the rest of the crowd, placing his suitcase on the empty bar beside him as Rebecca absently approached not realizing it was him.
"Sam Adams would be nice but I'd settle for your number." Geo joked with a smile on his face. When her mismatched eyes met his the stone heart in his chest melted like it always did. A feeling he swept under a fictional rug as he loosened the tie around his neck and popped the top button of his shirt to allow some breathing room.
"Was a late day at the office. Thought I'd come down and see what my favorite ray of sunshine was up to."
Thankfully it was a beautiful day in New York City. In light of a recent series of attacks from a rogue mutant the city needed some sunshine. Geo was thankful more for the fact it meant he got some field time. Slightest bit of rain made him useless and he had been looking for an excuse to get some fresh air with Astrid. He worried about her. With her mutations being so physical and mutant relations being what they were she didn't get much out time. At least in the Councilors opinion. Astrid had been a ward to him for the past few years. He had been more than happy to step up and help Becca with her taken daughter. Especially wanting to insure that she got all the necessary aspects of a 'normal' child hood. Something he hadn't had the luxury of nor had many of the other members of the X-men team. Of course when you lived life on the run as vigilantes 'normal' was relative.
Impact's strict monitoring schedules had paid off and they had received a tip. The rampant mutant seemed to be targeting the famous Rockefeller center for his latest bout of chaos. Made sense to the elemental. The hub was full of people, the plethora of businesses in the area kept a steady flow of foot traffic flowing over the concrete steps and terraces. An easy target for someone trying to make a scene and cause some collateral damage. Their job was to try and nab the guy before he had the chance to cause too much trouble. The real trouble was finding him. Not all mutants had physical mutations. Mutants like himself and Impact could slip into a crowd and blend easily. Folks like Astrid and Roach had themselves a whole other level of trouble. This guy could blend in for the most part. From the intel they had gathered he had some sort of dark energy based tendrils that protruded from his back so he had at least some difficulties trying to cover up.
Geo stood off to the side of the square, casually leaning against a building at the entrance to an alley. He wore his X-man leathers, slick and form fitting with a brown trim running along the material. What separated him from most of the others was the lack of material on his limbs. He left his arms and feet exposed to give him more of an advantage with his abilities in combat which went nicely with the leather pack he kept on his back with his emergency dirt. Never leave the amount of earth you had to work with to chance in a city like New York. The only addition to his general uniform he had added for the mission was a pair of aviator sunglasses and a white bandanna tied over his sandy hair. The square was reflected in his mirror like glasses as his eyes examined the crowd before him.
He held his ground, using the vantage point to see what he could. Astrid was elsewhere. The elemental had figured it would be best with them trying to locate a new mutant. They were still connected though, a small com in his ear gave him slight feedback. Wincing Geo tapped the device before calling out in his gravelly voice.
"Keep an eye open, Seraph." A protective warning tone came from his voice as he spoke to her. His eyes looked to the skyline in searching for the young mutant though he had given her freedom to use her judgement as a vantage point. He was curious at least to see how she operated in the field. He owed a lot of thing to Becca in this life and making sure her daughter was suited for the field was the least he could do. Geo was sure she would never truly stop worrying about her adoptive daughter in combat but they could hope to at least ease the worry.
"Target's got some kind of tentacles that come out of his back. It's wicked hot out today. Look for someone a little overly dressed."
Of course Becca thought to knock out the little bugger. She was brilliant. But as the creature floated towards the ground limp he knew who exactly was going to be the one taking care of the little critter. He stepped forward without a word as Raine came back down to their orientation of gravity. The furry creature was unsettlingly warm and weightless as it was still tethered between the two points.
Glancing back into the hall he found an empty file box and placed the rat inside before pulling the lid onto it. The holes used for handles would work for air just fine and it would keep the critter in one spot til Zero came down enough to untether it. Tucking the box under his arm he made his way back into the room where the newest recruit revealed she was bitten. He opted out of helping her with the wound though, having handled the assailant himself chances are he had his own plethora of germs on his hands.
"Luckily you're in the right place to get treatment kiddo. Not saying you have rabies...but it's better to be safe." He tried to keep an carefree tone to his voice to help ease the worried mind of the young mutant. He got his laugh in for the comical moment but now it was apparent that she was shaken from the whole experience.
"Probably best to make up a fib about where though. Tell them you were in an alley or something." His eyes went to Becca. She had enough issues on her mind as is. Without adding the stress of more attention to their activities in the upper floors. He'd have to make more of an effort in his down time to finish up the rest of the renovations around the base. They were going to have to get it done sooner or later but Geo secretly hoped Becca would find another headquarters a little bit closer to the ground level.
"I'll head to the store and pick up some traps when I take this little guy down." He tapped his hand against the box sending some sand fluttering down to the ground. With that he slipped out of the room and made his way for the elevator.
Despite the cold Geo could feel sweat beading on his face as he went into his third lap around the ring. The hot breath of the Cerberus now moistened by a fresh layer of drool running down his shirt. He was already struggling with his breath and the beast was hot on his tail. It wasn't going to be much longer til it was right on top of him. He could feel himself losing speed. The only chance was to use the beast's momentum to his advantage. It was all risky but he wasn't going to last much longer on his feet.
In one swift motion Geo dove face first into the ice covered ground, hoping to somehow get enough friction to stop short of the beast. But the elemental was surprised to feel a face full of dirt as he fell to the ground. The giant mutt ran clear over him, paws barely missing the elemental as it skittered to bring itself to a stop. Blinking Geo looked to the frozen ground under him. What was unsettling was as he ran his hand across the ground her felt dirt. In fact no he had taken a moment from the panic he could still feel the earth around him, the familiar response to his will was there. He had been had.
The girl. In the moment he had forgotten about her. Of course she was messing with him. A snarl formed on Geo's face as the Cerberus seemed to get it's bearings enough to turn back to him. As it rushed towards him again Geo sunk himself into the ground. The familiar darkness of the earth engulfed him as he floated through the ground out of the beasts reach. He could feel it start digging away at the dirt trying to get at him while he let Gavin's words sink in. The man infuriated him, made his blood boil in a way it hadn't in many years. He was arrogant, he was powerful and he was a god damn showboat about it. The ground around him began to quiver and quake in response to the anger rising in the mutant, his control slipping in moments as it fought against the immense rage.
As the Cerberus dug away at the ground above the ground caught a hold of the beasts paw, breaking through the illusion of a frozen surface to pull the creature partially into the ground. Massive hind legs were left kicking in the air as the beast attempted to right itself in vain. Geo pushed himself towards the surface til he was just bellow. Churning the ground around him he formed a violent swirling mass of earthen material. It seize and lashed out as it build around the mutant. It grew and grew til Geo couldn't control any more of the material.
It a swift motion the mass turned into a sphere of destruction as it crashed into the stands, breaking below the seats and into the banisters. Geo went for the supports, crashing into them and breaking them to splinters one by one as he rushed under the seating leaving ruin in his wake. He moved through the ring for a moment before crashing back out into the open ring. The mass broke apart to leave Geo standing with his feet firmly planted on the ground. His chest heaved with a mixture of adrenaline and a growing exhaustion. A twisted snarl was on his face as his eyes bore a hole into Gavin. The rubble behind him shifted as some of the mutants from the ruined rafters began to climb back to their feet.
Ignoring he still kicking Cerberus that seemed to be fighting less and less by the moment Geo began walking towards Gavin. Ignoring the illusioned storm around him he moved with determination. Though in his mind he saw his bare feet walking across ice he could feet the dirt beneath his feet. The ground quaked and fissured with his every step, lashing out with the overflowing fury emanating for Geo.
"Let's get one thing straight..." Geo's voice, though rich with hate spoke softly at first though built as he continued. "This here. This is MY sandbox." As he gestured to the arena around him, left in a wake of his anger. The ground swirled around him, wrapping around his waist and legs to lift him into the air as he advanced towards the ringleader.
"MY Sandcastle. You think you knew the game before but now I'm back in town. THIS IS MY CITY! THESE ARE MY PEOPLE! YOU THINK YOU OWN THEM!? YOU THINK YOU'RE THE SHIT?! WELL TIME TO WAKE THE F*** UP FREAK SHOW! I'M GEO! THE WHOLE F***ING WORLD IS MY PLAYGROUND!" As the roar rang from his lips the ground erupted and the ground lifting Geo rushed down as a landslide swept over the ringleader.
Dirt covered hands covered Geo's sandy hair as he ducked behind his makeshift wall. He could feel the heat passing around him for a moments after he formed the spires. The moment hung in silence before he heard the proclamation that the mighty beast had fallen. The elemental sprung to his feet, peering over the wall to see the body slumped to the ground. Gavin seemed to be wounded by the act as well. Glaring in anger at the turn out of the surprisingly brief encounter. The look caused a grin to form on Geo's face.
"That's round one Freak Show!" A slight hint of laughter was in his voice as he turned his back to the wall facing the disappointed audience. But then things took a turn Geo hadn't been expecting. The ring leader must have had some of his goonies hop into the fight because the lights seemed to drop dramatically and a heavy layer of ice rushed across the floor. Encasing Geo's lifeline in what seemed to be a the frozen form of his Achilles heel. "Shit just went left." He was freaking out. He didn't even have anything stashed on his body he could manipulate and now he was surrounded by the one thing that made him useless. How could it possibly get any worse?
That was when a deep growl crept across the quiet tent, sending a chill down Geo's spine. He turned to see not one but three vicious hound heads crawling out of the frozen ground. The tent seemed to have developed it's own atmosphere as well. A blizzard had churned into full effect. The Greek mythos didn't seem to be lost on the puppet master. Gavin spoke as if he was Hades himself. Hubris was not something Geo was fond of. If this guy fancied himself a god then he'd have to draw some more blood to convince him of his mortality. Maybe even demonstrate it to him. But first he had a more sensitive problem that needed his immediate attention.
As the mighty Cerberus charged at the elemental Geo stumbled backwards, nearly loosing his footing as the wall crumbled beneath it. Though it was nothing but a hiccup in the beasts gait. It hovered over the elemental like he was it's next meal. Then at Gavin's command the beast sprung to attack. Geo fell into a full sprint, running along the walls of the ring for dear life. He was too scared to feel cold. Too scared to look back at the massive charging beast behind him and certainly too scared to realize that it was still bare dirt beneath his feat. The monsterous mutt was his primary concern. Mostly having to do with not being it's lunch. He could practically feel it's hot breath on the nape of his neck as he screamed, trying to push himself faster still through the illusioned tundra he had been cast into.
Geo let the ball of fur be taken by her apparent new owner. Though from the sounds of it the little fluff was going to Be a new mascot of sorts. The elemental didn't mind. He was a fan of animals, which seemed to hold given the violation of his quarters by the innocent little kitten. The little tyke didn't know any better. Though the boss seemed to be apologetic. In her own partial scornful way that Geo had come to know and love.
"Won't happen again Boss." His gravelly voice spoke softly as he reached out to scratch the top of the kitten's head as it lay in his bosses arms. "Gives me ah excuse to bring up some more sand right?" He asked with a smile and a wink before he straightened up to cross the room. Dropping his heavy bag onto one of the chairs he adjusted his suit. His eyes examined the lunches across Rebecca's desk. Geo brushed some sand off of his blazer before working his way to the test.
"Ah. Chicken salad." He exclaimed as he wrapped his dusty hands around the small package. "That Zero kid is alright, should keep her around." He joked as he made his way to sit in the chair beside his bag. The hospital food had been a regular lately in their life. Though Geo couldn't complain about a free meal. It had a certain taste to it once you got used to it. Thankfully Raine normally only picked up the best stuff so they got their pick of the lot. Taking a big bite from the croissant he chewed as he watched Becca over his shoulder. She was always a sight to behold. A younger version of himself pined over her at a time though that was the past. That had come to an abrupt halt when she took charge of the team much to Geo's chagrin. He learned to cope with time, many years had passed since then. Still, the red haired woman was always a vision to behold.
"You're looking lovely as always Becca." His voice came with innocent intents. Simply complimenting the woman with no ill intention. Most that new the elemental well knew such things were second nature to him. Old habits to fall in to though he would never give out a compliment he never meant.
"Our little Viking Princess sweet talked ya in to a cat huh?" He started off making a playful observation about the young Astrid and her adoptive mother. Though he had spent a number of years studying the deeper psychological overtones of life. It was what had driven his career path into a Councilor for young confused souls as he had once been. It was something he was happy to lend to the aid of his old friend, especially in the challenges of raising a child.
"Could be craving more interaction. Outside of the team that is, would cause her to reach out for some sort of a-" His thought was cut short as a shriek came from the hallway. Geo was up and on his feet without a moments thought, his lunch tumbling to the floor as he bolted to the door. His loafers kicked off his feet as her ran, sending sand flying about as he rounded the doorway and into the hall. The yell had been Zero's, he could tell that, but what was happening? He ran in the direction he had seen the blond run in though stopped short as he passed the open door of the conference room. The elemental hesitated for a moment, looking up to the ceiling at the scene that had ensued. The worried look on his face shifted into a broad grin as he started to laugh.
