The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tricity frankly had enough of Kaz's mouth. She wanted to fry his ass so badly, he wouldn't be able to talk from being tongue-tied because of convulsions. She weighed the possibilities offered to her and knew they still had a few tricks up their sleeves themselves. It's not like she wanted to fight this arrogant group of mutants. They were being VERY difficult and elusive. As if reading her mind, Daria activated one of her 'special' programs and the effects were near immediate as the strength continued increasing. Members of The Order all began to look around in confusion as the seering pain ran through their heads. Tricity took the opportunity...
Pressing the ear piece down, she ordered all her comrades to rush the door. They were getting inside. As The Order were doubled over in pain that surely wouldn't last too long, Tricity gave a small shock to Oppressor who dropped Fade's body on the stairs. "Daria, grab Emmy and teleport to the steps! Dominic, take care of Fade! Hurry!" The X-Men quickly headed for the building, none of their opposition being able to do much at the moment. They needed to move.
Once everyone was inside, Tricity instinctively locked the doors, nodding for the men to help her put a few obstacles in the way. They quickly pushed a large desk and threw a few chairs in front of the door. Furniture wasn't going to stop The Order and neither was Daria's program. It would wear off any moment. She looked over their faces and saw they were in bad shape. Emerald was struggling with Daria, but Tricity reluctantly gave a large shock to the wolfgirl and knocked her unconscious. "Daria, carry Em... Wire, keep hold of Fade."
"Let's go," she said, quickly jogging down the hallway. "They're obviously not going to let us see Jack which makes me think she's being held here against her will. Not surprisingly... Xavier said he can't pinpoint her location either. They have some type of telepathic block." Turning a corner, Tricity saw a small security area where several television screens showed them different areas of the building. A young girl was seen peeking out of a small window. "There! That's gotta be her. She fits the description Xavier gave. Let's move!" And with that, they hurried down the hall and out of sight.
Tricity was just about to reach out to Emerald until the girl had screamed for her to back away. 'She's out of control... Ah, that's it... They're using Jack to make mutants lose control of their powers,' she realized, seeing another figure rush between the two. It was the one who had sent the explosion of shards out moments ago. 'Why is he helping us?'
Suddenly, an unknown voice had caused everyone to stop their fights and turn toward the steps on the building. 'And that must be Dorian King.' Tricity slowly backed away from Emerald and began walking toward King as he held Fade limp and what seemed lifeless in his arms. Her eyes went to black in anger as her power was reaching its peak. She could even feel the electricity begin to stir in the air, meaning her lightning ability was starting to flicker to life. "You bastard..." she muttered, coming to the bottom of the stairs.
"Leave now, lest you want more of your teammates to end up like this. Take this chance while you have it, and I'll consider reviving your friend." King announced to the X-Men.
"No," Tricity stated simply. "Release Jacquelyn Guy, Iris, and a few of the others I know you have locked up in there. We won't leave until you do." She looked around at her teammates who stood firm in agreement. "If not, I promise there won't be any mutation in this world that can revive you and your team when we're through."
Tricity had suddenly lost the urge to use her mutation, but knew this obviously wasn't right. 'What's going on?' She looked up toward the roof of KP and didn't see the bats or Fade anymore. In fact, the twins had also disappeared. Fade made it inside. 'Which means...' Tricity pressed down her earpiece to relay a message to all her teammates. A sharp pain ran down Tricity's right side from when the Second tackled her. A rib seemed to be broken on top of it all. "We need to push inside. Fade's made it in and we need to back her up so she can find the cells. By any means necessary... Let's go!"
"Need some help, Tricity?" the Second's voice rang out. Tricity turned around to see some type of gun pointed in her direction. She instinctively ducked and fell back down in the mud. The shot had just missed her and went zooming across the field, hitting Emerald square in her chest. "Emerald!" She scrambled to her feet, running over to the wolf girl in fear. Tricity slid in the mud to a stop and looked over Emerald. "Are you all right??"
Tricity put her foot up on the Second's hip to kick the woman off, but then suddenly felt her weight lifted off. Deathstar was there giving Tricity a hand as the Second went flying across the muddy ground. "You're definitely... an X-Man... as of today...." she said through breaths. Star had some serious issues with her siblings.
The electricity in her body was starting to gather up again so she would be able to send out another attack. These red clones were starting to irritate Tricity. The X-Men were outnumbered due to them. She raised her hands in an attempt to blast the clone closest near Wire, but she couldn't. Something was keeping her from doing it... She shook her head and tried again, but her will was beginning to change. 'What the hell is going on?' Tricity looked over at the Second, Deathstar, and one of the red clones which was looking at her. She was about to potentially be attacked and her power was not activating. 'The Second... What did she do?'
Tricity saw the second dodge the hit and come charging for her. This would be a tussle. 'Foolish girl...' The woman charged directly at Tricity and they both fell to the ground. The wind was knocked from Tricity and she coughed in response. She grabbed onto the second's throat as the woman landed on top of her, struggling to gain control.
All of a sudden, animals came out of nowhere. Bats seemed to be swarming up the side of the building and following an unseen entity. 'Fade, she's almost to the top...' Looking over she also noticed it was the twins who were calling to the animals. 'Animal control?' Tricity saw Deathstar take cover behind the van that had been thrown at her earlier by one of the clones. She brought her attention back to the second and sent an electric charge through her body and into the attacking woman.
Tricity noticed the sudden change of force in the water cannon and saw it heading her way. "Christ..." She quickly released the electricity from her body, but it wasn't enough as the water jet came her way. Throwing herself to the muddy ground, Tricity avoided the full blast, but was still soaking from head to toe. She would be useless for a bit when it came to her mutation. Some electricity was still running through her body. Thankfully, it was only a small amount and the effects weren't a disaster. Her whole body was tingling annoyingly.
She looked back toward the front doors where Deathstar was attempting to help Fade inside. As Tricity made her way over, Sentinel had suddenly sent out a series of diamond spikes shooting across the field. Again, she threw herself to the ground and felt one embed into her shoulder. "Ah, dammit!" She rolled over and pulled the shard out just in time to see one of their vans come flying across the field. Tricity scrambled to her feet and slid across the mud and out of the way as the van crashed across the field. She looked back and saw it was one of the red clones.
'This is becoming rather annoying,' she thought, shaking from head to toe and absorping the electricity back into her body. She ran for the front doors and saw the red mutant and the second in charge. Shaking the pain away, Tricity created two of her electric balls in her hands and aimed for them. They needed to get Fade inside...
Just as Tricity was about to handle the second clone again, Star had sent the thing flying backward and out of comission. She watched it tumble to the ground in defeat.
"Tricity, now what?" Deathstar questioned. Tricity moved the girl out of the way and sent one of her charged blue electric balls into the water burst that she noticed Emmy create. Hopefully that big mouth would take a hit and shut him up for a moment. Mud was spreading across the ground now, making it hard to keep ones footing while in the middle of a fight.
She scanned the field and saw the X-Men being pushed back and then Fade being visible for a moment as the mud covered her body. Tricity turned back to Star. "Make sure Fade gets in..." she said quietly and nodded for her to go. There were a lot of mutants trying to find the invisible girl. This water could possibly be a downfall for Tricity. She ignored it and focused on the fight at hand. From her far position, she sent another electric ball straight for Sentinel to help Fade get through.
Kaz was adding fuel to the fire. More of the unknown mutants began stepping forward, including another who came through the door. He introduced himself as Sentinel. 'That sounds familiar... Was he at the mansion at one point?' she thought, watching yet another mutant step forward. He reminded Tricity of an old friend who wasn't completely red, but blue instead.
"If all you came to do is talk, why bring so many with you to listen?” he inquired.
Tricity turned to him with a smile. "I like taking my friends out. I'd like to see Jack then, please," but before there could be any reply, the red mutant had suddenly created clones which seemed to attack each X-Men. Tricity grumbled in annoyance and decided there was no avoiding a fight. They all began defending themselves.
The first clone swung at Tricity and she ducked, grabbing it's wrist and sending a shock through its body. She then kicked it to the side as the second clone advanced. It swung madly at her, but she put both her arms up in an attempt to block the blow. It knocked her backward and she skidded across the ground. She was able to stay on her feet though, summoning more electricity from the high-tec security system that held up the facility. Her eyes began to change to black as her body absorped more power.
Tricity had heard rumors about Star and the trouble she had with her siblings. Her head turned toward the new voice from a girl who stepped out from the side of the building. Tricity ignored their attack on the trainee and acknowledged the young woman who had stepped forward to indicate she was second in charge. "Well, there have been some rumors going around that a very young mutant named Jacquelyn was taken from her doctors' care and brought to your facility. Along with that, I also have come to learn that a couple of my residents are also here. Not by choice. I was hoping you could explain."
She tuned into Mike who stood behind her on the right, though she faced forward and waited for an answer. 'Mike, can you sense the mutations they have?' Tricity counted the number they had compared to their own numbers. This would be an interesting match if it came down to it.
It remained silent when Kaz finished his piece and Tricity glared at him in annoyance without a word. After a moment she turned her eyes away and looked passed him, toward the others on the stairs. She ignored Kaz completely. He meant nothing to her any longer. "Once again... Is Dorian King here or perhaps the second in charge of this place? I'd like a word is all."
After everyone had arrived down in the garage, the team left in two vans, heading out toward King's Pharmaceuticals. Fade led the way as Tricity drove the first van, Dominic the second, through the streets and closer to their destination. Everyone began checking and re-checking their equipment as Daria handed out all they would need to keep in touch with each other during the mission. Tricity advised Fade to become invisible before getting there.
It wasn't long before they arrived at the massive facility. They all stepped out of the van, but it was very silent on outside. Cameras seemed to be everywhere. Tricity squinted through the massive iron gates and across the grounds. In the distance she could see people who seemed to be waiting for them to arrive. They were all casually on the steps of KP, nonchalantly chatting. 'Apparently they don't seemed to be worried in the least...' "Well, it appears they knew we were coming," she said to the team as they exited the van.
Tricity approached the gate first and waved her hand. The system audibly shut down and the doors swung open. Again, it didn't seem to phase the group on the stairs who finally took notice of them, though she was sure they had seen them pull up. "No one attack," Tricity said to her team who were close behind her. She wanted to talk to the person in charge with the hopes of ending this without mutations, punches, and kicks. They stopped some 25 feet away from the people on the stairs. "Is Dorian King here? Or perhaps his second?"
Tricity came closer to where Nyle was sitting, so she could keep her tone low enough for just the two of them. "Just keep your eye on him like I was saying before. I don't know what to really believe about all this, but he seems sincere enough. We've had a few betrayers pass through the door, so I just like to make sure I know everyone here. Thanks, hun." She touched him on the shoulder and stood up, wrapping the blanket around her shoulders a bit tighter. Tricity walked over to the door and opened it. She saw Zeke not standing far away as she smiled at him and stood behind the door to let Nyle leave. "Goodnight, guys. See you tomorrow."
"You needn't worry about the records being found. Everything is on paper and secure in my room. I have to have records of everyone living here...I'm sorry, but that's just the way of it." She sat back down on her bed and handed him one of the new resident envelopes to him.
"Here. You can pick any room you like and...yes, you can teach a class about world religions. I think that would be very interesting for some of the older students. Just try and keep it un-biased. Come meet me tomorrow for more instructions and when class times will be held." Tricity paused a moment and looked between the two. "Zeke, if you don't mind, I'd like to talk to Nyle alone for one moment."
