The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tricity looked over at Zeke and nodded. "Nyle is right. For now, we'll just have to wait for more of these visions in your dreams to reveal what is to come. We'll keep security extra tight until we can figure things out a little better."
She stepped out of her bed and began closing the blinds as it was now dark outside. "As for who it could be, there's no way to tell. We have so many enemies and I don't mean the mansion. I mean just mutants in general. It could be a mutant or human...there's no way to tell. Like I said...we'll just have to wait for your dreams."
Tricity put a hand up to indicate that she would like to speak since she thought the best information about the school would come from her own mouth. She cleared her throat and pulled up a blanket around her shoulders.
"As of late, many of the trained mutants here, otherwise known as the X-Men, have been injured...Yes, this is a school, but because of its nature in shacking up mutants, we also have to be prepared against those that would do us harm. Thus, we do have a group of trained mutants, the X-Men, in case we are ever attacked. We've been attacked a few times and have lost lives in the process. As a matter of fact, this is the second mansion. Our first one was destroyed because of a radical group of very organized people," she began explaining, running a hand through her hair and trying not to think of her friends who'd died.
"Even though we've lost a lot of members as of late, we still have many others who defend the mansion whether they are officially part of the X-Men or not. Zeke, as well as you, Nyle, are more than welcome to help in the defense of this mansion and its people. A title doesn't need to be given to you nor joining of some team in order for you to do that. We can use all the help we can get. Lately, I've become more and more worried about the safety of this place."
Tricity paused a moment and looked over to Zeke. "Now, can you tell me more about this...vision you've had?"
"Thank you so much, I owe you big time." She looked his face over a bit and then caught his eye. "Are you alright? Is this kind of rattling you a bit?" Tricity tried to read him, but it was a bit hard. He seemed a little out of it. "Maybe...I can ask someone else instead?"
Tricity gave a bright smile to the man and patted his hand in comfort, nodding to the Doc Prof to continue watching over him. She backed away from the bed and stood next to Nyle who seemed deep in thought. "Nyle..." she said simply and linked arms with the young man, pulling him along and out of the infirmary.
Once they were outside and walking down the hallway, Tricity spoke softly to him as many of the children were running passed them. "I know you haven't been here very long with us, but since you happened to be the first to meet Zeke, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind watching after him a bit. He seems...very upset right now. I'd do it myself, but," she touched her pregnant stomach and then looked back at him, "I've been ordered to bed rest. If the Doc saw me going back and forth in the infirmary to check on Zeke, he'd be all over my ass. Do you think I could give you a radio and you could keep my updated on his progress?"
Tricity didn't say anything for a few moments, but kept staring in the man's eyes. "Well, okay." It was the only thing she could really say. Everything came out of his mouth so quickly that it was still sinking in. "You can stay here, but you needn't worry about having to pledge yourself to us." She smiled lightly at him and turned to the Doc Prof to ask him to tell Nyle to join them once more.
Tricity pulled up the nearby chair and sat down. The Doc Prof came back over and worked on Zeke's wound as Tricity tried to find words. "Just rest for now...please. Gather your strength and we can talk about this a little later. You'll be safe here." In actuality, she was very curious about who was planning to attack the mansion, but he seemed so distraught and he'd had been through A LOT today.
Tricity listened to the man with total confusion, not understanding what was happening. Her ears immediately perked up when she heard the man mention danger. She looked him in the eyes and tried to read him and her heart told her he seemed genuine in whatever it was he was feeling and trying to explain to her.
"Al...alright." Tricity looked over to Nyle and the Doc Prof who was making his way over with medical supplies. "Would you two excuse us for a moment, please? Don't go too far though." When the two were left alone, Tricity pulled the cart over to the bedside and started to remove the makeshift bandages from the man's head. She placed them in the nearby garbage and grabbed the gauze with alcohol, slowly putting it on his head with care. "Ok, Ezekiel. Tell me what's going on."
Tricity pushed open the doors of the infirmary to have her daily visit with the Doc Prof when she saw Nyle trying to rouse an unknown person on the floor. She bent down next to the man and looked him over quickly before taking action. He seemed pale and delusional. "Nyle, help me out..." She placed her arms under the man's armpits and with Eldwyn's help, they were able to bring him to his feet. A moment later, Johnathon came into the infirmary and moved Tricity aside to help the man instead. They placed the guest into one of the empty beds and stepped back a bit in curiousity and confusion.
"Nyle, who is this?" She asked, stepping closer to the man's face and taking his hand. "Sir, are you alright? What's going on?" Tricity looked around to the three men for an explanation.
*Tricity rolled over on her side, feeling a sharp stabbing sensation in her back. She pulled herself and looked around confusedly. At first she had no idea where she was or what had happened, until she saw the dart in her shoulder. After yanking it out, Tricity got to her feet, but fell forward. She braced herself with her hands and landed on her knees. The sound of the waterfall made more of the day's images flash through her mind. She sat down to gain some composure and remembered what had happened with Kaine and Whitmore. After about five minutes, Tricity felt the feeling come back into her legs. She was freezing cold and pulled the leather jacket Kaine had given her, around her back, slipping it on. Climbing the rocks was still difficult, but Tricity made it to the top and saw Kaine's bike was still parked. Kaine had taken the keys from the ignition, but that made no matter. She started the bike mentally and straddled it. Tricity took a second to make sure she was fully functional in her limbs and then headed back toward the mansion. While she was riding, the radio beeped and she heard Johnathon.* Johnathon: "Ms. Tipper, where the hell are you?? Kaine? Anyone!?" *She pulled over and responded.* "I'm find Johnathon." Johnathon: "What happened? You missed class...again! Are you alright? Where are you??" "I'll explain when I get back, ok? Give me five minutes." *Tricity turned the radio off and hurried home.*
*Tricity felt strong hands on her wrists and someone clasping a hand around her throat, pulling her backward.* "Get...OFF of...ME!! KAINE!? KAINE??" *She gathered herself quickly and used her mutation by searching for some form of electricity. It was the radios Tricity had heard in her head, attached to the hips of the soldiers. Tricity quickly took in the surges and released the energy on the person holding her. The man screamed out in pain and fell convulsing, releasing Tricity. The smoke was still thick and she couldn't see anything, but a few shadows. She bent over and picked up the handgun from soldier's hand, holding it out in front of her.* "Kaine!? Are you alright??" *The smoke finally cleared and Tricity saw Kaine fighting with the soldiers. He was putting up a damn good fight, using his shadow sword efficiently. Tricity pointed the gun at one of the soldiers, but tossed it off the cliff. She conjured up a small, blue ball of electricity in her hand and shot it at one of the soldiers. He fell over unconscious and Kaine took down the third soldier. There was someone coming up from her side, but she didn't see it coming.* Whitmore: "Hello, Delilah." *The General smacked Tricity hard in the face and she stumbled, sliding off the cliff. Kaine reached out for her as she began free falling. He hit the ground hard, but managed to grab her hand as she hung in the air. Whitmore walked to the side of the cliff, looking down at the two. He pulled a gun out and aimed it at Kaine's back. Tricity reached up with her free hand to shoot at the General, but he cocked the gun and aimed it at Kaine's head.* Whitmore: "You shoot me, I shoot him, Delilah." *Tricity returned the surge in her body and looked up at Kaine, helplessly.* Whitmore: "I'll be taking Mr. Atticus Kaine with me." "NO! Whitmore, please...please don't do this." *He smiled wickedly at Tricity and Kaine's grip slipped, letting Tricity fall slightly. Whitmore bent down putting the gun to Kaine's head.* Whitmore: "If you even try to use one of your shadow techniques, I'll shoot her, Kaine." *Tricity slipped again as she tried to think of something to do. She looked around her as the waterfall rushed in violently below her.* Whitmore: "You should be ashamed. Going out on dates behind Orion's back. I'll have to tell him that..." *She looked up at him, shocked at what she heard. He devulged in this.* Whitmore: "What? You didn't know? Orion is working for me now, Delilah. I thought he would've told you??" "SHUT UP! You lie!!" *The General ignored her, tapping the gun on Kaine's head.* Whitmore: "Well, he is never around anymore is he? AND you're pregnant too, right?" *Kaine was confused when he said this, looking at Tricity for confirmation. She avoided his eyes and stared at Whitmore.* *The soldiers came over and began grabbing Kaine by the shoulders to pick him up. He refused to let go, as Tricity began swinging from side to side. She screamed out in fright.* "WHITMORE, you bastard!!" Whitmore: "Fine fine...let her up. I might need her later on, anyway." *He said, nonchalantly, pointing the gun at her as one soldier helped to pick her up and place her on the ground. The other three soldiers held onto Kaine after Tricity was on the cliff.* "Why are you taking him??" Whitmore: "No concern of yours, dearie. Don't worry that pretty head about it." *The soldiers began leading Kaine away, but he struggled. The General shot off a round passed Tricity's head. Kaine yelled out, but saw that she was alright. Whitmore reached in his belt and pulled out another gun, shooting Kaine in the chest. A dart flew out and Kaine fell unconscious within a few seconds. He turned the tranquilizer gun on Tricity.* Whitmore: "As always, it's been a please Delilah. I'm sorry we keep leaving each other in such a state. Till next time.." *The gun went off and hit Tricity in the shoulder. The last thing she saw in a blurry fog was Kaine being dragged up the path and away with the soliders and Whitmore. Everything fell black and Tricity toppled over, unconscious.*
*Tricity pulled away and stood up quickly after a moment.* "I...I can't, Kaine." *Suddenly, Tricity's head began to spin and she staggered forward shakily. Radio signals were buzzing in her head, but she couldn't make out what was being said as always...only a few words.*
"You failed to mention that on your interview." *She joked, smiling him.* "His name is Orion. He has the ability of chaos and order. If you ever break something, he's the one to bring it to. And don't worry, he won't know about us here. It's not like I have the means to tell him, so..."
*Tricity blushed and looked over at him.* "Very serious...though we have our problems." *She looked down at her finger which was absent of a ring.* "We're engaged. Whenever he gets back, we're supposed to get married..." *She told him, sulkily.*
*She and Kaine left the mansion on his bike, following the roads Tricity knew around the wooded areas in these mountains and toward a scenic outlook she often visited when there was some actual free time for her. It took about 10 minutes to get there and when they arrived, Tricity was glad they came. The day was very clear, hardly any clouds at all, and the weather was really nice. The scene was next to a raging waterfall which was very loud, almost drowning out the sound of Kaine's bike. Looking past the waterfall, once could see acres upons acres of trees as far as forever. Tricity walked down the rocks an sat on the edge of a rock leaning over the waterfall. She looked up toward Kaine.* "Nice right?"
please...he's so full of shit. come on... *she got into the driver's side, cage getting in the other side. tricity turned the car on and slammed her boot on the pedal. the car skidded for a second and then arched forward, away from the docks.*
