The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aedus confirmed. "Convincing, you are impressive young man. and don't you ever forget it." Aedus plopped Back down on the couch and slowly but surely Chase dozed off. As he did so the kid leaned and leaned until he couldn't lean no more. He collapsed into Aedus side, luckily for Chase, Aedus had saw fit to put a pillow in place for when the inevitable happened. he didn't want the boy to wake up when his head hit stone.
Aedus put his arm across the back of the couch and allowed himself to doze as well.Aedus let out a huge but silent yawn, normally he would have let a roar escape but he hushed himself to let the exhausted child next to him rest. It was contagious and seeing the boy so worn out made him sleepy. The door was locked twice and he was pretty sure that they wouldn't look her anyway, Agnes was the only other one to know where to look and she wouldn't sell Chase out to crappy parents.if anyone would understand it was Agnes.
Aedus nodded. "Yeah, if it hadn't been for the bouncers, I would've done more, then again...I think what did in the time I had with him was enough to make her want to make sure he got home ok."
Aedus shrugged his shoulders. "We could always go make the night worse for someone else who deserves it." He really did enjoy hurting those criminals, he wasn't sure that it did all that much, probably only convinced them not to pick on men. Then again that could end worse for both of them. he'd feel bad if Jules got shot or something before the nights end. "Or we could go get some drinks."
Aedus stood up as the subway car neared the next stop.
“Yeah, I suppose you know her? The guy was a complete jerk, controlling, with a capital C. I beat the hell out of him, and she still left with him.” Aedus waited to see what the man had to say, He looked pissed.
He wasn’t quite sure if he was angry at the fact that he hurt the guy that Lydia was with; if he was mad about Lydia being out with someone else. Or what. Aedus straitened a little just in case he decided he was someone that needed to be beaten up. He knew Jules could fight; they would end up beating each other bloody if it came to it. if in fact he was pissed that Lydia was associating with a chump however, he could relate.
Aedus shook his head. ‘I’m pretty sure it’d look a lot worse than that if you hadn’t stepped in. but yeah, I didn’t see it coming either.”He stopped rubbing at the small lump on his head, it wouldn’t help any how and he didn’t need to draw more attention to it anyhow.
“Nice to meet you Jules. I got to say that was kind of fun. Probably not for them, but you catch my drift.”
Aedus leaned his head back against the glass. ”I got thrown out of a club it was a good place to release some frustration. Some meathead treating this girl Lydia like crap and decided he needed to prove himself against me…let’s just say Rusty and light bulb would’ve had the tactical edge on the guy. What are you up to tonight?” He made it plain that his plans were gone for the night, and that he was up for something if Jules wanted company, he also made it easy to get out of if he didn’t.
“You’re missing out on Sushi, everything else well, I’d rather eat beef anyhow.” He commiserated with the Brit; He didn’t seem to mind that he couldn’t eat it, I guess you didn’t miss what you couldn’t eat anyhow.
He nooded lightly. “that’s probably for the best, seems like they like ya better if ya don’t beat them too badly, or better yet not at all. They’re good gents and all, just a bit fussy for their age.” The table in question was a group of men that looked like they could step out of any pub and look right at home. But they were part of this bar like any other fixture in the place. It just wouldn’t be the same with out them.
Maggie sashayed her sassy way over after speaking to the regulars and informed them. “You’ve been challenge to a game of darts by O’leary and Smitty after you are done with your chips.”
Aedus shook his head and laughed. “Predictable.” His tone mocked Maggie playfully.
The brush strokes were so fine to look as If they weren’t there.
“Ah that’d be because the original painting was a Victorian renaissance piece. Not an original, but my fingers know what it is supposed to be. Oh, don’t worry they’ll stay still and clothed soon enough. And no, I wouldn’t still a soul so lightly.” Shammus shook his head and his eyes widend at the last comment. “Oh heavens no! I married once and she was more than enough woman for one lifetime, an attic full of virgins sounds like a fine solution of where to put them if they were around, but as far as going out of my way to collect them.”
Splap!
“You boys will be begging her forgiveness by the days end!” and Shamus left any kitchen raiding thought with the sight of cranberry sauce on a guest. They were running and the old man seemed to be keeping up fine.
Aedus’s hand hovered over Noel’s, just in case he needed to help her make the right decision of whether a sword was necessary. She sheathed it before he needed to insist. “I am so sorry, I am pretty sure that was meant for me.” He took her arm and attempted to lead her further into the house. A finger slid along her cheek to remove the majority of the sauce.“Let’s get you cleaned up.” and calmed down.
As for the painting, Aedus blocked the Majority of it with the umbrella and Noel had her sword drawn and pointed to the sky. The painting then froze in place with a renaissance woman with a skyward pointing sword and an obsidian guard with a parasol taking point. The cranberry sauce slide to the floor.
Aunt Aislin spoke through the house making the majority of the other guests move toward the pavilion.
Aedus was just about to take his hand back when the other guy finally shook it. “Yeah, I can’t stand the amount of that garbage that goes on in the city, I’m glad they were after me and not someone easily taken. I’m also glad that they aren’t smart enough to make their abilities work together…they could at least buy themselves some sunglasses.”
He plopped down on a seat and rubbed his head, “You took the guy with the pipe, but I still got introduced to the thing. I would have stepped in to help with him, but it looked like you had it under control. I’m Aedus By the way.”
He would be taking a longer walk home since he missed that last exit, it just wouldn’t have been smart to follow them off of the train, not when they could have followed him home.
