The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The princess did Irritate Himari.. quite a bit in fact. She was slowly learning it was just the fact the woman was a flaw of personality and not some purposeful attempt to draw out the powerful pink person to punch her pointedly. Her eyebrows furrowing up a bit in amusement as the offer was accepted so easily. perhaps the older girl wasn't as prideful as she seemed? The curious personality of Amethyst only made the offer more interesting, a case study in imperialist attitudes if nothing else!
Bowing she scurried off to the kitchen, heedless of the eyes on her. Normally she left the cooking to her sister, for good reason. Cooking for healing purposes however.. that was a different story entirely. It took a bit longer then an hour before she made her way to the room sick lady indicated, knocking politely before peeking in and entering. She wouldn't have put it past some people to tell her the wrong room. Fighting down a little wave of nerves, first at entering an unknown persons room, and second in hopes her humble remedies would be well received. Carrying a tray with with a teapot with two ceramic cups, two bowls that at first glanced appeared to be white rice with a yellow hue to it, two shriveled up purple balls that were pickled, dried plums if the princess happened to be knowledgeable about such things, and of course utensils for eating it all.
"Takes a bit to get it just right, but it is all easy on the stomach as well." The taste.. well that would be entirely subjective. "Sit up please." Giving a disapproving look at all the chocolate boxes laying about. No wonder this girl was sick! Setting the serving tray over Amethyst's legs to free up her hands. She poured a mysterious orange liquid into the Princess's glass first and handed it to her before pouring one for herself.
"Now this is healing tea, start with this while I finish preparing the rest." It was a mostly subtle tea with a growing sensation of spiciness the longer one drank. A pleasant mixture of green tea, lemon, honey, and most importantly of all a healthy dose fresh ginger. Designed to warm the body from inside out and packed with all sorts of healing goodies.
Taking one of the pickled plums and crumbling it into the soupy rice that had been simmer into a porridge in the yellow broth before taking a spoon and mixing it slightly, leaving the spoon in it for the princess and pushing it towards her. Once eaten the rice had a gentle fish undertone that was complemented by the smoky flavor of the broth. The pickled plum pieces providing a tart, sour taste that was strong without overwhelming the more subtle flavors completely.
"Please enjoy." Fixing up her own bowl the same way and taking a sip of the tea and a bit of the rice with a generous grin on her face. Clearly happy with her own work.

Well Himari didn;t know of any Scott Spring, of course he seemed like the sort of person she'd have to beat up and who really asked bullies their names. What a meathead! "Ah, football isn't all that entertaining to me either. More of a participator anyway. Though my sister sometimes watches me fi- dance. I'd only flex if you asked." She teased to completely divert attention away from her slip in an even more embarrassing manner. Crap! That hopefully the swirling mass of night sky hadn't noticed her slip! Somehow managing to blame Scott Springs for the whole incident the big muscle head that he was. If he hadn't already met a punch of hers already she would have to introduce him!
Once she had a few of the books in her hands the drag of weight was reassuring feeling amidst all the new strange ones raging within her. The former also being far more expertly handled then the latter. Managing another easy smile as Celeste offered her thanks and nodded in return. "Most welcome." She slipped out in more accented English as they approached the more occupied common areas. As with all things bureaucraticit felt like everything took ages to sort out all the details of Celeste checking out her assembly of books when in reality things were done in a short amount of time.
Like most epiphanies of relevance, a thought occurred to her in a most unwelcome and sudden way. In what had started as a cheery walk in companionable silence towards the dormitories slowly turned into a steadily growing nervousness building in the pit of her stomach. Realizing she had never actually been to anyone's room or even a house of someone that wasn't related! Growing up had been a series of isolations, first because of social standing due to the family she belonged to, then as a mutant and morphing until it was simply because of the choices she made as an individual to be herself. She was hardly equipped to dealing with the anxiety of making a friend let alone visiting the room of one she could tell she had a huge crush on already.
Suddenly Celeste spoke again and as if waking from a dream they had arrived already, about a century too soon by Himari's reckoning. "It's fine I am sure." She demurred by some miraculous miracle of etiquette to be polite resurfacing from her youth. The portal opened and her confident steps carried her right to the threshold and she stopped entranced by the beautiful randomness of striking color of the walls somehow it felt right for Celeste's room to be decorated the way it was. As her gaze travelled lower drawn by some damnable instinct her eyes landed on a pair of panties and felt her face go flush with heat. The logical party of her brain stating rather blandly she owned and was wearing her own pair as the emotional side screamed about them being the galaxy girls. Staring for half a second, which was far longer then she needed to have the sight etched into her brain without her permission.
It wasn't until Celeste spoke again she crossed the threshold. She had a job to do after all! Pride and willpower giving strength to her wooden movements, almost all traces of her former graceful movements gone. Easing up to the desk and pausing a moment as if to say goodbye to the comforting, reassuring weight in her hands. Anxiety reaching a fever pitch of proportions she hadn't dealt with since childhood. Turning to face Celeste to bow politely. "It is wonderful." Which was completely true to her overwhelmed feelings. Right before Celeste's eyes she suddenly changed.
One moment she bent forward and said her gracious words and the next as she stood back up fox ears had sprouted on her head, the hair continuing to match her wonderful pink shade, a bushy fox tail sprouted unceremoniously from her tailbone, and as her eyes returned to the swirling galaxy of beauty her pupils had elongated vertically somewhat. The dramatic transformation easily missable if one blinked. Just as unmissable to Himari wa show her perception of the world shifted. Everything seemed so much sharper and intense clueing her in immediately to what had just happened. A look of horror briefly appearing on her face out of embarrassment, mostly for herself. She hadn't spontaneously transformed since a kid! "yip!"
A heartbeat later and faster than a human could have managed she was at the door. Two heartbeats of frozen inaction later the door was suddenly closed, and another after that she was up against the closest wall with her pack jabbed into her back and her long flowing tail covering her face as she clung to it with her arms. "S-s-s" Before giving up, English being far too hard right this second!

It always amusing to Himari to see people reactions when you stated you could protect yourself. Ranging from 'let the cops handle it' to 'oh yeah want to fight?' Personally she would have preferred much more of the latter. More people were interested in robbery then fighting and that was just a boring way to live in her opinion.
At the gesture Himari looked over the woman again and her eyebrows narrowed a bit as she tried to think if she had heard about anyone who had a jet. "You know that stuffy princess too? How did you get a jet out of her? No I have not heard of you. Don't take offense to that though. I tend to keep to myself mostly, most people around here aren't worth listening too." Politely deciding not to comment on the teacher's who were probably just doing their job, instead. "They are probably less then happy with how I tend to nap in most of mine. Not my fault the sun comes in through the windows just right is it?"
Glancing to her feet then back up at her she ended up giggling and turning into a full blown laugh for a moment. "Never scared the literal pants off of anyone. That will be a good story to tell." Purple eyes quickly scanning the floor for the missing pieces. "You often leave bits just.. laying around?" Clearly misunderstanding somewhat. What was it with people and leaving bits of their mutation laying about?!
"Eh, its a building. Pretty boring place to wander, unless you were going somewhere interesting? Prefer to be outside, but it gets much colder here then where I lived in Japan. You from around here?" Relaxing a bit at the almost sad prospect of not having a fight, taking a moment to brush off her backside that had been sitting on the ceiling.

Of all the possibilities she had envisioned not a single one involved Junipers pants coming off. A rosy colored appeared on her cheeks, but didn't look entirely away. There was that one lizard that detached its tails so it could scurry off, maybe the woman was using it as a distraction to sucker punch her in the face?!
Nope definitely not, she noted as the Juniper hopped about wrangling her jeans back on. Himari remembered something her Grandfather said about things only being awkward if you acted like it was. So she just stood suspended from the ceiling and waited for the girl to put herself back together. Himari gave the girl credit she hadn't run off. So she let the blurry two dimensional outline around her body go and twisted in the air to land on her feet in front of juniper in a graceful if a bit practiced maneuver. Then gestured to the ceiling in a smart ass response to her question.
"Hmm I don't know. No One would really ever see them, but maybe my sister. Not sure how well it would hold up after kicking someone in the face either. So it might be just a waste." Looking down at her stocking covered legs a moment before shrugging and looking back to Juniper, her broad grin still firmly placed on her face and the rosy color slowly fading.
"You must be pretty good at it if you have to do it all the time so that is something right?" Giving Juniper a distinctive once over before responding further. "Yes, but only if your not a, believe the word is, narc. Otherwise I will have to punch and or outrun you. Fair warning." Her broad grid widening just a bit as she figured Juniper wasn't really either. What teacher or narc walked around barefoot? Unless they had some strange trmorsensing power that required their shoes to be off.
"Your plan to just ditch and stare at your feet the whole time?" Somehow managing to sound completely non judgemental. People had their own methods of deep thinking.

As she often did Himari found herself rather bored. She had only one non related friend to speak of in her months at the Mansion, but found her sister was often off exploring doing her own thing which was acceptable of course, and her other friend was more of an insane crush that took every scrap of her social energies to not feel like she was going off the rails and screw something up. Most of the classes also didn't interest her, but instead of making a ruckus she found herself napping or when she wasn't tired just not going all together. Her time in America was supposed to be a punishment it didn't mean she had to endure the hell of boredom.
She had managed to do a round of bully hunt, but enough of the same types of people recognized her that they scattered as soon as they caught sight of her pink hair. So she found a nice quiet hallway. Made her way to the ceiling and sat cross-legged upside down in a nice comfy corner then closed her eyes to meditate and focus on keeping her powers up at the same time. Time being subjective it as moments later when she heard someone's bare feet walking along the floor. That was curious enough it itself so she perked her eyes open and glanced 'up' at the blonde who was staring at her own feet.
Curiosity being the bane of animal in everywhere she maneuvered quietly over the person and let her power go for a moment so gravity affected her for a bare moment leaving her looking only semi affected but frozen by gravity leaving her quiet modest despite her usual skirts and shirts attire. That left her face about equal to Junipers and over her shoulder she too looked at the floor.. then the woman's toes and the goofy starfish painted on them. A big grin plastered on her face that matched the starfish before giggling. "Cute, though I don't think I have ever tried painting my toenails." Which struck her as a bit odd now that she thought about it. Not that she bothered to paint her fingernails much either. Paint tended to flake when you punched people hard as she did.
As far as the girl was concerned Himari figured she would be cool with her being upside down looking at her toes or run off surprised. Either worked for her honestly.

Himari shrugged at the accusatory remark. "It is good to know how people react to see if they are worth getting to know. At times I just get bored of how people get stuck in their little bubble and never think beyond it." Levelling her own look at Aoi as if to say something, then left it alone.
"I do not pick to bully, it is my way of probing people. A giant bear fight would be awesome though! Your right, I need to meet your sister. How far away do you live? Should we visit?" Himari starting to become of the mind they should visit regardless if Aoi wanted to or not. Maybe she could fight her sister. That would be even better than watching two bears duke it out! The awkwardness of finding herself in Japan quickly vanishing to be replaced by excitement of coming events.
"See perfectly reasonable plan! Your the one who wants to get back so bad and do it right away. I can settle for a week trip or two by boat to get back to the USA then hitchhike across the country. Be quite the adventure to tell wouldn't it?" If she really worked at it perhaps she could end up riding a bear across the continent. Now that would be an even better story! Her mind already trying to calculate the best ways of making this happen.
"Seeing as how you want to get back so bad your in charge of that aspect. Let's go find the bank then get some food. Always easier to think with a full stomach." With that statement she began walking towards the bank without an ounce of hesitation in her body. She had been hungry before the.. well teleport was the only thing she could think of and that hadn't changed despite their location.

Despite the overgrown foliage the scream echoed up into the air. Rocky even took a moment to pause his slow.. slide? To look in the direction of the scream. Himari felt herself sighing some, didn't anyone know how to take care of themselves? The chances of it being a smaller kid notwithstanding everyone in America seemed so helpless. It was rather.. irritating. Not that urban Japanese were any better, but.. ugh! Of course it could have just been the tiniest bit of guilt at being partially responsible for the whole mess. Very minimally.
She tapped the earth spirit teen on the shoulder and made a punching motion with her hand and towards the scream then made a parting motion with her hands at the hedges in the way. Mazes were fun, but not terribly conducive to saving time in emergency situations. If they had been attacked by angry hedges there was no telling what other people were dealing with. Several heartbeats passed as the quartz eyed student pondered her hand gestures before doing a bit of a bownod and rumbling up into the hedges. Coarse vines lashed out at the stone student doing a fair job of polishing up some rougher bits and messing up some of his close before wood groaned and gave with a rent of splintering wood and leaves falling he shoved his way through. Himari almost literally on his heels. Picking up some momentum the next plant wall was easier.. and the one after that even more so until they were making good time in the direction of the scream. The walls entwining themselves back together even as they passed through. In minutes there wouldn't be any trace of their violent passing.

It was difficult to put the new experience in something other then fighting terms. Martial skill was her passion closely matched for her love of the outdoors. So when further discussion was enabled Himari considered it a victory for further communication. For once she felt like maybe she should have tried harder to seek out friends in school who were understanding of her situation instead of mocked and viewed with fear, because of her personal choices and that of her sister being a creature of evil legend. Instead she had thrown up walls and become a vastly independent person to the point of being nearly antisocial. Now the walls were slowly breaking down and she found herself lost in a vast, but wonderful wilderness with no idea how she got there. It was a vast relief Celeste was easy to talk to! She would have to continue using her feelings to navigate as they served her well in the past.
"Me too! I will tell you all the best stories I promise." A bit of an outburst, but quiet enough to not be overheard. It would take ages to impart all she knew about her third favorite subject!
Stepping aside as Celeste soused out the location of her final book. Her heart swelling with happiness as she added to her friends independance. Himari herself always feeling.. hemmed in by dependency on anyone for anything, excepting of course her wonderful sister.
Her own grand grin had diminished a bit in the waiting and flared brilliantly once again seeing her companions matching grin. "Perfect." Eyebrows contorting some at the mention of being unable to learn. Quietly remembering something her Grandfather said about paying attention to what wasn't said as much as what was. What had prevented her from learning in Atlantis? Or had a different name now she came to think of it. It certainly didn't seem like something to pry about the first day. Instead she filed it away to focus on happier thoughts!
"Not a big book person to be honest. I enjoy more physical activities like hunting, fishing.. outdoors activities you know?" Not quite willing to tell Celeste she enjoyed fighting too or at least striving to be the best. Some people reacted.. strangely in the U.S. to such things for all their love of action movies and warrior culture martial arts were a bit outside the communal thought.
After a thought she added a bit bashfully, "Would you like me to carry some for you?" Trying to carefully phrase it so it wouldn't seem like Celeste needed the help carrying them, but offering to help do so. This conversation stuff was difficult when it mattered!
As they left the rows of books Himari slept back into silence and smiled over at Celeste when she could as well as falling in beside her when the spaces were open enough. Clearly relieved as they left the library and headed towards the dormitories to drop off the collection of books. Eyes alert for any potential trouble that might come to her or her new friend.

Despite the general rule of constrained noise in the library she found herself giggling. Maybe her English wasn't as good as she thought. "Nothing serious, I just bet my grandfather he was teasing me when he said Atlantis was real. Guess I was wrong." Giving a small, but powerful shrug that shifted the contents of her backpack a bit without disturbing her bright smile. "You will have to tell me all about Atlantis and I can do the same about Japan. I lived on one of the southern islands, guess in English it would be more rural? We had some land and I enjoyed spending my time in the forests and mountains." Continuing their little exchange with growing detail.
Normally libraries were an extreme source of boredom. Today however it was about as far from boredom as she could get without throwing a party and pissing off everyone, but her impromptu companion. Internally the band was playing as Celeste accepted her offer to eat together and she clutched both her fists to her chest to contain any outburst. Managing a louder then speaking tone "Awesome." With a heavily implied exclamation mark.
Did that mean they were already friends? Maybe more?! Himari had no clue and couldn't wait to find out! As she turned about in search for the rest of the books there was a notable extra spring in her step almost a little skip in her normally self assured gait. "How many more books do we have to hunt down? You always check out this many at once?" An inquisitive eyebrow chasing the comment over her shoulder. It gave her more excuses to look over Celeste after all!

Himari stared for a moment. Unsure or disbelieving the woman had no idea what a hot plate was. Was she fisking with her? Himari pushed up a pink eyebrow then decided that the woman probably didn't know much of anything. Seemed like the butler and waiter type for some reason. Mainly the previous conversation of money equaling power.
"A hot plate? It is like a..." Trying to think of all the proper english words. "Single stove top deal. Good for cooking one pot or heating tea. You plug it in to the wall. Japanese people have efficiency living down pat." Answering two questions in one then unable to help a single great bursting laugh. "More of a fighter, but natural medicine is one of the few subjects I am interested in. I figure if you get over your cold sooner we are both happy. I can head to the kitchen and whip something up then bring it to your room if you like?"

Things seemed to be going well with her new friend. Not that she had much previous experience to gauge such things on. It just felt.. right and nice.. and a whole thesaurus worth of other words that made her feel kind of warm and fuzzy. Why was talking to people so awkward? She wasn't going to let that deter her however! Only forward was her course. The galactic girl was hard to read maybe she was just shy?
"I am glad you enjoy it. It is the symbols for sun and love put together in my language." Sharing the little tidbit since she wasn't sure she had with anyone. Celeste also seemed like the sort to enjoy the little morsel of not entirely useless knowledge. She was also having a very hard time not smiling the whole time. Purple eyes scrutinizing the piece of paper as she held it up and drew her head back slowly as if it would somehow become clear if it wasn't so close until she gave up with a shrug and a grin.
"Atlantis? Huh, I owe my grandpa some money the next time I see him. I'm from Japan and even then there is quite a bit I don't know about the world and its history. You look like you will have it all figured out pretty quick though." Gesturing to her growing collection of books. Not that Himari had any real drive to learn either, instead she added. "I know tons about Japanese history and my family history though. If you're ever interested I could tell you all about it?" Bouncing a bit excitedly on the balls of her feet. Turning on her toes as they moved in search of the next book as much to hide her growing blush as any other reason.
"Some things are easier for some than others.. t-thanks though." Puffing up a bit out of pride as they meandered through the stacks to collect more of her treasure list of books. Stopping as they found the next one she idly played with the end of her long braid. "So, umm... I was wondering if.. you wanted to grab something to eat after we drops your books off at your room?" Why was all the oxygen suddenly gone? How was her heart beating so fast if there WAS no oxygen? UGH why can't I look her in the eyes! Inner turmoil growing exponentially in the eternity like pause as she awaited the starlights answer.

The late hour exercise was by design. To a person who grew up training alone in the woods, or with only the closest of family members it felt.. odd to have complete strangers doing their thing with no affiliation able to watch and oogle. Himari didn't mind the occasional appreciative ogling, in fact it rather boosted ones confidence quite nicely. Without her skirts, stocking, and other clothes she felt rather exposed in her camisole and boxing shorts. Mostly do to her lack of pronounced feminine characteristic. In her opinion huge endowments would just get in the way of her training anyway, but it would be nice to have a little something.. more.
With that little bit of typical teen awkwardness she found herself coming to the gym in late hours when people were busy doing other things like sleeping, studying or eating. Leaving the gym to herself on most nights and able to concentrate on what she was doing without any undue self awareness. There was one person.. a teacher that seemed to share the same schedule on occasion, but was thankfully impersonal. Their presence simply there, but unobtrusive and she had grown used to the teacher somewhat. A strange mutual respect f two people striving to be their best without any words needed.
Tonight she held some heavy hand weights in her hand and was slowly going through her sword exercises to keep the muscles worked. It wasn't perfect, but unless she wanted to give away the possession of her sword it was the next best thing. The door opened and her fellow night exerciser entered. Sparing a moments concentration to at least acknowledge the woman's arrival with a amethyst eyed look and a polite small head nod before returning to moving the weights about in the air glacially slow. Willpower overriding simple fatigue with the iron discipline of it having to be perfectly done.

The woman didn't respond to her little philosophizing. It was hard to tell if her expression of extreme unamusement was due to her cold or in reaction to what she had just said. Himari was going to assume both. She did envy the walking fountain of cash to some extent. It certainly made things easier. Himari however was on a path far more interested in physical and soulful accomplishments more than any pursuit of wealth. It probably also helped that if it wasn't for being temporarily exiled to the USA then she wouldn't have to worry about money at all. Oh well.
The shorter girl gracefully closed the distance to peer into the mug and got a little closer to sniff it. A brief look of disappointment crossing her face. "Well it is tea, but it is all Americanized. Westerners.." She sighed a bit and shrugged. "You have a hot plate in your room or something. I can make you some tea and a bit of food that will clear that cold right up. Medicine isn't supposed to taste great." Statin the latter as almost an afterthought.. an offer and a warning to help the woman through her cold. Not that she liked her much, it just seemed the right thing to do. It beat the alternative of punching the woman in the stomach and walking away. Time to get the high ground..

When Celeste said she was going to keep her little library intervention a secret her appreciation jumped up a few notches. Which based on her look sand demeanor already put her above the rest of the people in the mansion but a noticeable amount. With everything proceeding so wonderfully it was impossible to keep a genuine broad smile on her face. Any attempts to shove the dusting of rose off her cheeks forgotten as they slowly got to know one another better. It was an honest show of her current feelings so why hide it?
As Himari lead the way she fell into her usual confident steps, walking with a hint of restrained enthusiasm, but still retaining her dancer's grace. The backpack on her frame obviously heavy by the way it sagged and bit into her shirt and the art case sidled next to it was almost as long as she was tall. Her long pink braid popping out from beneath the backpack betraying it's long length.
Pausing as Celeste stopped to introduce herself with two names, matching pink eyebrows rising with obvious curious interest at the little internal exchange, but not willing to comment on it. Instead smiling even bigger to deliver a, "A beautiful name for a beautiful person." Almost regretting it as soon as she said it. Turning away slightly to hide her growing embarrassment and insecurity. Grandfather said to just say what one thought in these situations and she wasn't entirely sure it was working at all curse him!
Breaking her own internal monologue long enough to watch the girl approach and stepped back to watch her pass and search the shelves. She couldn't help it, Himari looked over the galaxy woman as she was distracted with pinpointing her exact book. Just a quick up down was allowed right? Oh Kami she was getting flustered and swimming out in some very uncharted waters. Pounding the tenets of bushido into her head for good measure to steel herself for the next few moments. A visible breath released as Celeste accepted her further company. Squeezing her hands tightly to keep from breaking the sacred sanctity of mellowed voices in a library.
A much more muted 'Wonderful." Escaping her lips then she would have preferred, grinning ear to ear and no doubt looking a bit manic. Not that she cared. "I enjoy your company too." Moving comfortably beside her new companion to peek at the list. "I am unable to read the titles what are these all about?" Obviously curious as to her interests and what she was reading even if it wasn't her thing per se. The space between the shelves giving them both just enough room to walk mostly side by side as they proceeded to the next target. Eyes glazing over the numbers until they reached the next one and then up the shelves. Placed just above their reach. "I got this one."
She squirreled her body down a bit then jumped into the air a ways, her power snapping into place to give her a sharp black outline as she froze in mid air, plucking the book out of its resting place she released it and landed on the floor with a dull thud, that brilliant grin of her in full effect a she handed it over. "There you go."

She partially wondered what the fellow teenager was thinking and feeling. Irritation no doubt. It certainly wasn't her intention to ruin the boys day, but if he had said a simple hello or some other more mutually respectful or even an upnod he could have avoided his fate. Alas here they were locked in a game only one of them was aware there was one to be played at all. Even aware of it, however she had the more difficult job of staying in character around such a reprehensible person. It was the things he almost or didn't say which said were infuriating. She had met the type often enough on the streets of New York. A girl with pink hair and purple eyes was either really into cosplay or a mutant. Both of which earned their stares and jeers. Often enough to hear the worst word you could call a budding mutant. Freak. Even a non-american mutant had heard these words enough to discern their meaning.
Still it wouldn't do to give up the game so easily. Shoving down the anger she felt threatening to break the placid surface of her face and using a far too practiced smile she just sat politely. Cocking her head a bit and narrowing her eyes at him as if trying to understand the meaning of his words.. then she shrugged delicately. Looking over at the tv as the end credits rolled and the outro played she bounced a bit on the seat to the tune, humming to herself.
