The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

When he leaned in to plant the kiss, suddenly no one was there. He stumbled forward a little before his eyes opened, and he looked down to see her backpedaling away... And then he fell over laughing...
My god, there were no words to describe the adorability... adorality? adorableness? Adorableness of this woman! He slowly climbed up to his knees, and stopped himself laughing just long enough to see her trample the ketchup bottle... That started it again. He quickly stopped himself, though, when he realized it might be a little embarrassing. "Heh... uhm... yeah... So... yeah... not ready for that yet. Lets get you cleaned up." He walked over to reach out a hand to help her up... Hopefully she didn't offer a ketchuppy hand, cause... well... yeah.
Man, this had really ended up quite a mess, hadn't it? Still he had one more question. He had to ask... He didn't want to forget, did he?

His eyes locked onto her as she seemingly deliberated his fate... and found that he was cleared of all wrongdoing... Whew! Now it was her turn to judge the kid. At first, she seemed suspicious; how could she?! Clearly he was an innocent boy, just looking for a few laughs, who happened to get in over his head just. this. one. time... /Heartmeltheartstringstuggedohmygawdadorable.
He was relieved when she finally accepted their apology as well, and was happified when he received a hug for his efforts! Yay, he totally just a won a gold medal for the shot-put! His cheeks would hurt again soon, es evidenced by the brimming smile as he hugged her back...
Yet... something in the background caught his eye... Ohdeargod he'd been fooled! No... It was best to keep silent about the little snot's behavior... He would pay him back later. For now, he had to settle with being told he would be a great father and whatnot... A statement which made him blush just a little.
"Well... I dunno... the meal's kinda been ruined... those kids are finally gone, though... maybe we could..." He leaned in suddenly for a kiss.

He stood, the triumphant hero, having revenged the disgrace of his helpless damsel in distress at the hands of the vile munchkin guild, a huge puff of pride placed on his pectorals. The evil ball was vanquished, its senders, defeated; he'd saved the day!
That prideful pectoral puff deflated, however, when he found his previously frightful fem furious at his actions! Oh my! His head tried to hide beneath his shoulders as the ray of motherly judgment was centered on him, and his actions dismantled like so many recalled pintos.
Yes, he'd acted a bit immature in sending their ball into orbit. Yes, she was correct in pointing that out. Yes, he now felt guilty as hell, and by the look of it, so did all of the kids. Wow, she was good.
"His hand went to the back of his head, and a bashful apology wormed its way from his mouth. "Eh... Sorry kids... I'll get you a new ball... Just... be careful in the future, okay?"
One of the kids stepped up; a rowdy looking boy with a scuff on his cheek and big ol' eyes "I'm sowwy... We wuz jus havin fun... It wuz my idea... I apowogize."
Oh.... dear god... heart.... strings... pulled...
He looked to Andrea, his eyes wide and pouty. "A... Apology accepted... right?"

He chuckled at her reaction to him hugging her without a shirt on; he'd long since realized how flustered it got her, and he had to say it was probably the most adorable thing he'd ever seen. Still, he put the shirt on anyways; too much of a good thing made it less entertaining in the end. Besides, he wanted her to be able to focus, right? They had a lot of dating ahead of them!
He blinked as she looked him up and down and showed sudden amusement; did he have something on his face? A greasy hand moved up to try and feel for any dirt or the like, and succeeded in covering his face with more grease. He shrugged, and looked at his hands... pausing for a moment, and sighing. "Nah, I can take a shower later." He scrunched his face a little when she wiped at it, like a boy being tended to by his mother after a scuffle at the school playground. Still, he gave in after a second... Honestly, he liked that she was willing to take care of him; he was the kinda guy that needed that sort of pillar to lean on.
A grin appeared on his face. "Besides, we're both kinda dirty, see?" He poked her on the nose, leaving a little grease spot on it.
"No need to get cleaned up now, who we tryin to impress?"
Things were going well; he was sort of enjoying the sandwich, he was really enjoying her company, and he was overjoyed that she liked, or at least pretended to like his sandwich.
He wasn't sure which it was, but he took another bite anyways, just as she did the same... that was when a kickball decided to ruin their meal; He felt it zooming through the air toward them, and was prepared this time, pulling away to dodge it. He quickly realized, however, that it wasn't aimed at him for all; its real target was a little less Saphy, and a little more america!sandwichy... That sandwich happened to be held by Andrea, and it happened to send pieces of it all over her... His pleasant smile became a stern look of low boiling anger...
"Are you okay?" He was sure to say as he stood up, and grabbed the ball from the ground near them... The kids had already headed toward them to retrieve their ball, smug smiles and snickers abundant.
He held up the ball to toss to them, and instead sent a large amount of force into it... The ball nearly flattened from the hit, and launched off into the air, disappearing off into the distance. They let out a collective groan as they watched the object of their entertainment blink out of sight.
"Fun's over. Now apologize to her, and I'll think about getting you a new ball." His hands planted themselves on his hips as he sent the kids a stern glare.
He squeezed her hand back gently, now noticing that he'd smiled more in this last hour than he had in months... his cheeks hurt, and he was perfectly fine with that.
It wasn't long before her eyes wandered down to the food, and he found himself turning just a little bit red... Yeah... he really hadn't put a lot of thought into the grocery list for this picnic... All Saph'd grabbed was what was within arms reach, and it really didn't make much sense after the thought... He hoped she didn't think he was crazy...
Her reaction to the assortment was... well, it wasn't what he'd expected. "Oh! I know! I'll make you a sandwich.. and you can make me one! We can make it a game!" And boy could she make a sandwich... That was a sandwich, right? He supposed that was just how they made them in Greece. He smiled as widely as he could without laughing, so's not to be rude, and graciously accepted the sammich.
He then went about making her a work of freaking art. A look of focus came over his face as he curled his tongue over his top lip and sculpted a multilayer ham and cheese sammich that screamed AMERICA! WHUT NOAW?!
He then presented it to her like it was some sort of medal and he was the president of samerica(TM).
After that, he took a bite of his... Greek combo sandwich?
It was... Interesting. Such a... blend of flavors... A unique blend of flavors. Unique.... yes. ".... mmmm.... s.... gud."
He let out a little sigh as she didn't budge, and took her hand in his own when she reached out.
"... alright... Yeah, I guess we could go get your stuff together... Maybe I could meet your friends?" Jesus, what did he just agree to? The one and only time he'd gone to the sanctuary he'd punched down the doors and smacked Aura through a wall... Then again as far as he was concerned, that wasn't him. He wasn't the judge. No, he wasn't out of his mind, he just knew that in order for him never to get caught, he had to be a different person than the dangerous, highly illegal vigilante.
So, Saph would be totally fine with escorting her to the this scary sanctuary place he'd never been to. I mean, it wasn't like she was making friends with any of the people he'd clobbered, right? Especially not one of those big mean red guys; she was way too nice for those monstrous types? Hey, there was that word again.
He was barely able to keep a calm look when she mentioned going back to the sanctuary... Still, she needed to grab her things. "Oh... Well... Maybe we could send someone to grab you things for you... I... I don't like the things I hear about that place. It's not safe."
He wasn't sure how she would react to that, but she had to admit that she'd gotten beat up a lot more while living in that place compared to... well, probably the rest of her life. With monsters like Aura, and those enormous red guys running about, he didn't like the idea of anyone staying there, let alone someone he loved.
He took note of her lack of clothes and good shoes... Hm... Maybe he could help her fix her situation later... He could make a date out of it! Dates were nice.
It was a plan! Now, to relax and deal with it later. "So... Want a sandwich?"

The sound of giggling could be heard as he rubbed the back of his head for a moment... It didn't really hurt, considering it was just a kick ball, but it still wasn't really fun to get hit... He looked up at his green skinned lunch date as she asked as if he was alright.
"Eh... I'm fine... Heh, kids..." He shrugged off the slight irritation of getting hit again, and scooted away from her a little to grab the ball, and toss it back to the kids. "Ey, careful where you kick that, kids. Someone could get hurt." He gave them a smile, and they all laughed loudly and grabbed their ball, retreating back to the game.
He watched them go for a minute, shook his head a little, and turned back to Andy. "Um... so... Is there anything you'll need to get settled back in? Cause you know I'll help you out if you need a hand." He gave her a reassuring smile, letting himself forget the kids and their antics.
Hah! Perfect timing! He'd just finished changing all of the spark plugs! He stood tall and wiped just a little bit of sweat from his brow, accidentally getting some grease on his face. His face lit up as she walked into the garage, and he immediately walked over to give her a hug.
"Hey! Yeah, I figured that since you didn't have a whole lot of clothes, and I have a little money laying about... I figured you and I could go... shopping, y'know? We could call it a date!" He smiled wryly and reached over to grab his shirt, eyeing it for a moment... How did it get greasy hand prints on it? Huh... He would have to get a new one at the mall or something... It wasn't like he wasn't dipping into his wallet anyway, might as well dish out a little more dough, right?
"So, how's that sound?" He gave her a little wink, and slid his shirt on, which had hand prints on the chest, which looked like two dirty grasping hands had gone in for a grope. His eyebrows waggled, showing off his lack of awareness, and he motioned toward his car. It would have been very funny if the bumper had fallen off right then, but he'd made double sure to tape it on very well today.
Wow... She really did think highly of him... Why did that make him feel... almost guilty?
Maybe it had something to do with the fact that no one had every told him he was doing something with himself... He'd always kinda just done the best he could, and ran with it, but to have someone say that he'd done well, and that all of his work had paid off... It almost made him want to cry. He didn't, because... erm... MAN! RAAAWRR POWPOWPOW! But it really almost did. Her talk about his family warmed his heart as well, and when she once again confessed her deep love for him while snuggling in with him more, he could only stare into her shaded eyes and respond. "I love you too..."
Her answer to his question was better than he might have responded... He really didn't do much, did he? He prolly would have said. 'I dunno... punch things.' but no, she was cultured!
"Violin? I didn't know about that! You should play for me some-OOF!" A ball flew out of nowhere and smacked him in the head... once again he'd been too distracted to catch it in time.
He broke out his best t-shirt, and jeans, got all tidied up, and did the best the could to make his car presentable; after all, they didn't have a limo to take him to their destination, which happened to be rather similar to the last one; The mall. It was mainly because she really didn't have a whole lot in the way of clothes after he'd burst into the Sanctuary that mean old jerk the Judge had broken into the Sanctuary.
He had some money saved up... Mostly in his "ohmygodineedanewcar" fund, that he was more than willing to fork over to give her some clothes... He could always make it up later, right? Yeah... He'd long since decided that her needs and wants would come before his in his mind; he simply felt she deserved more than he, especially after the hardships she'd run into while she'd been gone from the mansion...
So, it was with all of his gathered smoothness and charm that he left a note on her door, and ran off to hang out in the garage to work on his car while looking all nonchalant and whatnot... With his shirt off; he didn't want to get it dirty, right?
That was three questions in one go, though honestly, he wasn't even keeping track anymore... He just wanted an excuse to learn more about her, and didn't really mind if she learned more about him... well... there were some things he didn't want her to learn; a lot of the things he'd done, it was while he wasn't thinking very clearly.
Anyways, those thoughts faded away when she started talking about the X-men... His heart swelled with pride. She still didn't know he'd tried out and passed; he was one of the people she'd called... an upstanding example of humanity... wow... that was good to hear; he'd never actually asked anyone what they thought of the X-men before... He'd saved a good number of lives, so he should have figured, but it was nice to hear it from someone he cared a good deal about.
"Y'know... I joined em... A while back, now... I'm hopin they'll make me a full member soon." He smiled widely, leaning back to relax and soak it in, one hand in her own, and the other behind his head.
He frowned when she asked abut family, however, sitting up just a little. He hadn't meant to show her his discontent at the question; it had just been a reflex; he put on a less sad face, and turned to her.
"I eh... I don't really have a family... My mom died giving birth to me... and... well... My dad blamed me for it, I guess. Don't really blame him... He put me up for adoption when I was pretty young, and I... I guess I never had anyone who managed to stay too attached to me." A small, smile formed on his face, as if to say he wasn't too bothered with it. "I think I did alright by myself, though... Took me a while."
He turned away for a moment to get a look at those kids again. They repeated their earlier actions, turning away quickly... Were... they planning something? Nah...
"What d'ya like to do? Like... in your spare time, and all."
A... Giant bug called her Medusa? His mouth hung open for a bit, and he nodded just a little. "Wasn't much of a question, but considering he just met you, and he called you a monster at first glance... Yeah, I'd say the dude's a hypocrite." Well, there it was... he was fairly certain there weren't a whole lot of big bug people in New York... he'd only met one in fact; and it was a girl... All he had to do to find the person he wanted to hit was find a bug man near the Sanctuary.
That all finished with, he got the sad news that she had friends back at the horrible place, and that she was hesitant to leave, and then the great news that she would be moving back despite her reservations!
"Awesome! I know she's missed you, and so has Mrs. Piggy! And... well, you know... I was hopin you and I could spend a little more time together; Like right now... getting to know each other."
He paused for a bit, and looked over at the kids... he caught a few of them looking their way, but they quickly turned around... odd, but they were prolly just kids being kids. He turned back to her, and contemplated his next question.

The conversation pulled up a memory from a park a while back, where Andrea had been brutally attacked by some gangster... Given the chance, she defended herself, and she... well, she went a bit overboard... Still, he would have done worse to the man, in fact, he'd very much wanted to...
No, she definitely wasn't a monster, and anyone who tried to convince her she was could go straight to hell. She was the nicest person he'd ever met in his life; in his mind she could do no wrong, so he decided that anyone who told her otherwise was dead to him. "There are some people out there who have lost the ability to see the world as a good place... They think that since they are rotten, and the world is rotten to them, that everyone else is rotten... You just have to ignore them." He gave her an encouraging squeeze. "Did this person know you? I'm sure anyone who has spent more than a few minutes talking to you would know that you are an amazing person." He nudged her, and took a mental note to find the person who had talked to her like that in order to make them feel the hurt for it.
"So... are you going to stay here?" That was the question that had been on his mind the most... He wanted her to stay.
