The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She could sense Roach’s excitement with this whole plan rising. “Yes, I’ve already considered her potential once she sees the true light and accept the fact that we cannot live with the humans.” Maxine’s dream self in Syn’s post apocalyptic vision knew how the humans were and would crush them under foot as well as those who got in the way. That was the Maxine she needed to bring forth.
The comments regarding Maxine’s assault received a Cheshire like smile. “It’ll be a day she’ll never forget I assure you, and she’ll never know it was us.”
Dismissing Shade’s gestures and statement Syn was focused more on the woman in white. This new person intrigued Syn. The challenge to do more received the desired response as the woman replied in an almost flustered manner. This alone made Syn smirk.
Evelyn’s reply was much more detailed than her first attempt at showing Syn her talent. Much more impressive indeed. The only reaction from the dark woman was a subtle smile. “You’re a very interesting woman Evelyn. I could see talking with you being very entertaining and perhaps we shall talk about things sometime.”
Syn changed the subject. “Did you have anything you wanted to know my dear?”
Passing up Roach’s inquiry of just hoe Syn knew of Maxine the dark woman listened to his idea. Having the same police who had become famous on the web and TV give Maxine a little something extra to report on sounded very pleasing. So much so that a wicked smile sliced across Syn’s lips once the full picture set into her mind.
“My dear Roach, I do believe that sounds like a wonderful plan. She doesn’t share our views and so she would be an excellent little lamb to throw to the wolves. Of course you may count me in on this.”
A nod of acknowledgement was given to Shade and his replies, but Syn was focused more on Evelyn now. The woman in white had a spark of feistiness in her. It was a good sign as now Syn knew this would be an interesting meeting.
The brief description of Evelyn’s talent didn’t immediately spark much interest from Syn. Anyone could be observant to some degree or another. Shade was most likely more observant to dark places than most others would pay attention to as well as looking for openings in an opponents defense for him to strike. Syn, on the other hand, was observant to things of a different nature.
Smiling back to Evelyn Syn gave no gesture to confirm nor deny the woman’s guess. “Interesting, but anyone with a decent skill in observing others could probably make a similar statement. Can you go further than the surface my dear?” Syn’s tone remained calm and collected, but she was giving the new female a slight push. She wanted to see if Evelyn could do more.
Shade’s tone expressed a sense of pride and accomplishment. It wasn’t hard to tell he thought he had done something good. Syn thought there was always something of an animalistic nature to the man. It was a quality in him that aided Shade in the missions he took on. He was a hunter, even if it was from the shadows.
The woman who introduced herself as Evelyn had a much different tone and it was all directed at Shade. By the white haired woman’s account she had an unpleasant trip before reaching Sanctuary. However, what intrigued Syn more was that this new person had experienced Shade’s talent for moving among the shadows. This led to some questioning.
“A pleasure to meet you my dear Evelyn. You may call me Syn.” Emerald eyes flashed along with a greeting smile before moving to gaze at the always hooded figure. Syn’s tone remained calm and silky. “I’m curious Shade. I didn’t think you had a car or could drive for that matter. I always figured you used other means of travel. I’m also curious as to why you think Miss Evelyn could be of great help.”
I like this idea and Syn has brought the full power of the Order down on the X-Men twice when she was solely in charge to show the X-Men they were a force to be reckoned with. I look forward to more interaction with the X's.
Listening carefully to Roach and watching the video he had waiting a name was brought up. Maxine Ralls. Oh yes…Syn knew Maxine Ralls. More to the point she knew her as the Queen of the Amazons in a post holocaust setting. Syn’s memory of the woman never let the red haired woman go.
“Yes, I know of her my dear Roach. I’ve seen her before.” Syn wondered what thoughts the giant bug man had come up with prior to her arrival. The fact that he had mentioned taking a ‘sinister approach’ sparked high interest from the dark woman.
A polite hand wave and subtle head movement declined the offered treat. “What thoughts have you come up with regarding Miss Ralls and the police?”
Taking a leisurely stroll through Sanctuary, Syn was making her way around ensuring mutants were comfortable and happy. Many would give positive replies while some were a little less enthusiastic as they were new to their accommodations. Every once in awhile a mutant or two would thank the goth princess. These tended to be some of the younger and more elderly mutants who had been brought into Sanctuary.
As the dark angel was talking with some younger residents her cell buzzed for an incoming message from Lisa. Shade at front desk with “guest” was the brief message. Placing the device back in her pocket Syn politely excused herself from the young ones and made her way to Lisa’s desk.
Syn wondered what sort of guest Shade had brought with him. Knowing the things she did about the shadow man numerous possibilities ran through her head. None of which matched what met her emerald gaze as she approached.
Next to Shade’s usual hooded self stood a female. She wasn’t the type of female Syn imagined Shade might find interest in as the woman was almost his opposite as far as color schemes went. This new person outshone Shade as if it were a movie and this woman was an angelic being. Syn immediately became intrigued by this.
“Hello Shade! I see you’ve brought someone with you.” Syn was being genuinely polite as she had no idea what the story was with this woman in white. “What is your name my dear?” Awaiting the reply Syn examined the newcomer.
With events going the way they were Syn had become restless. She wanted to make the humans pay. She wanted to give her fellow mutants a reason to rise up. Something needed to be done.
It was at this time when Roach had requested another private meeting. With the little secrets he was able to gather from his little informants he might have found a way for events to occur as Syn was imagining. He might of even have found where the culprit police were now.
Reaching the open doorway into Roach’s room Syn announced herself upon entering. “I’m guessing you requested another meeting because you have something pressing to discuss.” She moved to the same seat she had sat in the last time. “What’s on your mind my dear Roach?”
The arrival of another car immediately caught Syn’s attention. Maybe someone else was looking to have something done to their vehicle. The person was a man…a rather large man by his looks. He had his hands full of bags of food, but still managed to open the door and hold it open. Syn politely stepped through the doorway with a subtle smile on her face.
Inside the building Syn moved out of the way for the big man to get to wherever he needed to go in order to place the bags down. She watched him with her emerald eyes. He was a very well built man, and she could tell he liked working with his hands.
While he made the first gesture with the door she made the first move to start a conversation. “Nice place you have here Mr. Corbulo. I’ve heard some good things about your work.” Syn smiled her perfectly practiced ‘nice girl’ smile to draw out the man’s character a bit.
Having her new GT-R for a couple weeks Syn decided it needed an upgrade. Sure it was fast and handled amazingly, but she wanted it to do more. More power could be made by the engine or more power could be added. Either way, she wanted more power and maybe some other modifications as well.
So began the search for a place to have everything done. Syn could’ve taken her car to any big name shop, but she had heard from a few other people about a guy who works out of a junkyard. A couple of them complimented his work and were amazed with their vehicles after they were finished.
Once Syn got the location of this ‘junkyard man’ she set out to see for herself what he was capable of.
Pulling onto the lot Syn parked her GT-R and went looking for the owner.
