The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Having her new GT-R for a couple weeks Syn decided it needed an upgrade. Sure it was fast and handled amazingly, but she wanted it to do more. More power could be made by the engine or more power could be added. Either way, she wanted more power and maybe some other modifications as well.
So began the search for a place to have everything done. Syn could’ve taken her car to any big name shop, but she had heard from a few other people about a guy who works out of a junkyard. A couple of them complimented his work and were amazed with their vehicles after they were finished.
Once Syn got the location of this ‘junkyard man’ she set out to see for herself what he was capable of.
Pulling onto the lot Syn parked her GT-R and went looking for the owner.
Jacob was on his way back from a food run. It was a quarter after noon, and he was certain his guys were hungry. While it did cost him from time to time a bit of money to feed everyone, not to mention the hassle of getting orders right, he knew that the work that was done during the time of the ‘getting’ of said food was spent working on their job. Which was excellent because they kept getting paid for being on the clock, and more work got done than if they were to take an actual lunch break and leave the shop. Today he had a favorite of his own… Jack in the Box. The smell of the food in his car was almost to the point where he wanted to reach over and find his own food, breaking the rule of not eating in his Baby… but he endured it, and arrived just in time to see a nice little car park in front. He rolled by it, pulling into the ‘RESERVED, OWNER’ spot that he had painted next to the shop, not quite in the parking lot but close. Using his large hands, he grabbed the eight bags of still hot food, and used his pinky, the only finger not holding the paper bags in a death grip, to open the door.
Stepping out, he gently bumped the door with his leg to close it completely, and looking around and not seeing anyone who would hear it, used his ability to lock the doors. The newer looking car’s owner emerged from her vehicle, and he made a bee-line for the door, opening it and propping it open for the person he had yet to get a look at. Using the opportunity of the nice gesture, he turned back to look at who the newcomer was, but his ability was probing the car… a nice ride, for certain, but a little too modern for his tastes. He had never owned a vehicle aside Baby though, so perhaps he was a little bias.
The arrival of another car immediately caught Syn’s attention. Maybe someone else was looking to have something done to their vehicle. The person was a man…a rather large man by his looks. He had his hands full of bags of food, but still managed to open the door and hold it open. Syn politely stepped through the doorway with a subtle smile on her face.
Inside the building Syn moved out of the way for the big man to get to wherever he needed to go in order to place the bags down. She watched him with her emerald eyes. He was a very well built man, and she could tell he liked working with his hands.
While he made the first gesture with the door she made the first move to start a conversation. “Nice place you have here Mr. Corbulo. I’ve heard some good things about your work.” Syn smiled her perfectly practiced ‘nice girl’ smile to draw out the man’s character a bit.
Jacob gave the woman a warm smile as she stepped through into his shop. It was a very nice waiting area… wall mounted television with a built in DVD player, free WiFi for customers, a few comfortable microfiber couches, and the latest edition, an advertisement on the front desk for an iPad that would be loaned out so that some of the younger kids could play games, but it had built in security features that kept people from trying to steal it, intentionally or not. Jacob moved to the front desk, setting the bags on the counter, and poking his head into the shop. “Chow’s here!” he said, a few woops from hungry mechanics sounding on the other side as they finished up what they were doing to come grab the food.
Jacob used this opportunity to address the woman, and potential customer. “Thank you, and Jacob, please Ma’am. I can offer you a referral discount if you know who gave you the word about the shop, if you want, on your first visit. Are you looking at getting your car worked on?” It was a simple enough question and statement, one of his incentives to his customers to tell other people about the work they did there.
