The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kendra rolled her eyes when he presumed to tell her about the complicated art that was making a burrito. She was a dam good cook. Though, she had a few signature dishes, cooking wasn't something she loved, but her cooking was probably the best you'd ever taste. Kendra was smiling. Things had settled down and the tension was gone. Whatever nervousness she was feeling had slowly faded away until it was just the sound of her laughing.
The waiter came back and set down two plates. He set Kendra's salad in front of her and a plate of lasagna in front of Max. She was glad she didn't order it. She would have had spaghetti sauce all over the fancy white table clothe by time she was done eating. She was a not coordinated woman at all. She couldn't even walk and chew bubble gum at the same time.
Then he hit her with a question she wasn't expecting. He asked her if she got into any trouble the other day after the beach. Kendra stopped laughing. She looked at him for a moment and sighed. That was such a good day, and such a bad one. "Some creep followed me on the way home, but I managed to get away from him. Nothing too scary." Kendra lied and started in on her salad. She stabbed a tomato and a few leafy greens hoping to avoid that conversation. She had no idea what the guy wanted. Why he pushed her into the alley and pulled a gun on her, but it was something she would better off forget. She googled the name Roger Cahill; the name on the ID. All she found was a death certificate on line for one Roger Cahill. There wasn't much to search and she was no private investigator.
Her search had turned up a dead end and she dropped it. She chalked it up to a case of mistaken identity and tried her best to just forget about it. Kendra looked up, stealing a glance to see if Max had bought her story. She didn't know what to say, but it was a oddly specific question to ask if she got into any trouble. Did he know something? Kendra wasn't paranoid enough to think that Max was the one that sent some guy after her. Why would he? Still, she redirected. "So you said you work for Haven.. I don't even really know what they do there." Kendra hadn't heard about Haven, having only gotten to New York less than a week ago.
She wasn't being playfully cute or coy anymore, her eyebrow was raised quizzically. She was always to nosey for her own good. She couldn't resist asking the question, but she figured that it was something innocent. For all she knew it was a clothing company or something innocent like that. It really didn't help her investigative skills much that she was apparently living under a rock.

Kendra hadn't been in an intimate setting in some time. She had that nervous fluttery feeling again. Just when she was starting to relax. He asked what brought her to the city and she told him that her work had brought her here. She kept it vague. "I'm actually a freelance photographer." She wasn't here on assignment or anything like that. Honestly she just wanted to get away from Georgia. The bigoted south, since the civil rights movements and Martin Luther King, the south and found a whole new thing to be bigoted about.... Mutants. And though she didn't really have a visible mutation, she still wanted to get out of there. She could have said this, but instead of telling Max that her own father hated her when he found out she kept things light. She didn't want to bring up the stories of a screaming drunk throwing dishes against the wall.
Kendra reached up and rubbed at her neck. The elegant gentle slope of her neck was tense and she absentmindedly rubbed at it while she listened to him talk about growing up in Virginia. Southern boy too huh? He probably knew what she was running from then. That simple minded southern ignorance that seemed to spread down there like wildfire. Growing up in the south was the reason she knew so much violence. Shaped the person she was, and was partly to blame for her shy secluded sometimes skittish nature. Still, she didn't back down. She might be slow to warm to people, but she was curious and inquisitive and wouldn't shrink away from finding out more about things that really peeked her interest. Like Max. One of the things that drew her to him was how she instantly felt comfortable around him. She didn't have that awkward, weird "Hi my name is Kendra" phase. Ugh! She hated having to introduce herself. She felt like she was standing in front of a crowded room whenever she did slowly suffocating. Max made her feel safe, like she could be herself.
Max said he didn't want to waste time on small talk, yet all of his questions had been small talky questions. What do you do for fun? What brings you to the city? It was like a survey and she was going down a check list. What does he REALLY want to know? Kendra wondered. She hadn't been on a date in awhile, in fact.... The last time was actually with a woman, but the routine was slowly coming back to her. The courtship dance of pretending like you were interested in boring hubba-baloo. Kendra wanted to up the antie a bit.
So far they had exchanged where they lived, what they wanted to aspire to. But they haven't really broken the ice. Call it nerves of being on a first date, but Kendra came out of left field with a completely random question. And though it may seem trivial, Kendra could tell everything she needed to know about Max by his answer. This was a deal breaker too! Kendra didn't mess around with this if he answered wrong he was dead on arrival. Kendra looked Max in the eye. A warm devilish smile spread across her face. "Ok. Ima ask ya a question. How ya answer's gone determine how the rest'ta the night goes. Do ya understand?" Kendra said. Her Georgia twang, relaying that Max only had one shot to get this right. Kendra would be able to tell if they had any kind of future at all based solely around this one single solitary question.
"What combination of fixings makes up your perfect burrito?" Kendra asked as the smile spread deeper across her face. She was being completely serious. Burrito creation was high on the list of qualities she wanted in a man. Suddenly Kendra was laughing. Obviously she was kidding, but she still waited for his answer the same. To find out he was a no sour cream man would just be a travesty!

Kendra wanted to face palm. She knew some limits of what she could do. She knew for example, just because she was dreaming didn't mean she could morph into a dragon or lift a train over her head. She couldn't run on walls of fly. She was basically trapped in her dream until her body awoke. As for the loneliness. It probably wouldn't be as much of a problem here in the mansion. She would be invisible but she could talk to people. She would just come off as a disembodied voice. Humans don't like talking to Ghosts or seemingly talking to apparitions. Kendra figured Ghost could be especially empathetic on that front.
"Well. Actually, this is going to sound stupid, but I never tried! I mean, I dream walk every night, but I never tried to see what I could do in my dreams I just kind of wander around exploring." Kendra felt a bit foolish, but being a mutant was never something she asked for.
Kendra stood up from her seat and moved around the garden. There were so many different types of flowers. This place was filled with a lot of love. The ground were superb, the mutants here were all kind and friendly so far. She normally felt self conscious, but not here.
Ghost asked her if she was tired and how it all worked.
"I'm always tired. I could sleep for two days a feel like had a nap." Kendra's brain was always in motion always turning the gears, she never had a lax period where it shut down and took a rest, instead when she dreamt it caused her brain to kick into high gear causing her to always feel tired. "Suppose'n I should lie down for a few in a bit. What'bout you? I don't really know much about your umm... ability." She didn't want to call her a mutant. That word still had such a stigmatism attached to it for her it still seemed like an insult, even if it was truth. Kendra looked at Ghost honestly interested in what she could do.

They were seated at a table that was spaced out, yet still found itself in the middle of the room. Kendra sat down and tried her best to conceal the smile that threatened to take over her face. Her muscles betrayed her and she felt the corners of her mouth pulling upward in a giddy smile. The fact that she was new to the prospect of dating couldn't been more apparent if someone wrote "I'm rusty at this." on a big rubber mallet and beat you over the head with it. Kendra glanced around the room. All of these people just out on the town.
For once she felt... Normal. Not like a mutant, but a normal person. Going on a date. She placed her hands on the menu and opened it up. She didn't know what Max's expectation were. She had kissed him. And by god she had lingered on it. She pulled away from the kiss reluctantly and struggling to catch her breathe for a moment, but she didn't really know him. She just spent the day with him on the beach building a sandcastle, soaring over the ocean and topping it all off with him trying to defend her from a group of assholes. It was like a romantic novel almost, she read quite of few of those a guilty pleasure of hers if she was being completely honest.
Max was cute, he wasn't chiseled or build out of stone, he wasn't the next Brad Pitt, but that's not what she was attracted to either. She found herself drawn to his sweetness and his genuine charm. When the waiter came by Kendra asked for a glass of water and moments later he was gone. She could feel the stifling static between them. She felt like she had to say something, anything. Don't be weird! She scolded herself, but thankfully he broke the silence and told her to skip the small talk and asked her questions directly. That was a relief.
"I'm from Georgia. I'm suppose'n you prolly figured that from my accent by'now." She said smiling. The truth was he was easy to talk to. She started to relax a little. These were the easy questions. She didn't know that much harder questions were on their way shortly. Questions she honestly didn't have any answers for. The man that attacked her had caught her by surprise, that was the first time something like that had happened to her. She was rattled at the time, but that was then and this was now. She had been through worse. She was a big girl. She didn't think about such things now. She was on a date. Like a normal girl. A normal, simple, average girl. She supposed she should have felt a little guilty for having this human fantasy. Just wanting to pretend for one night that she wasn't a mutant.
No matter how this night ended up she'd be dreaming at some point. The ruiner of even the best of good days. Kendra was still looking at the menu when she answered his second question. "I read, I'm a photography nerd, and on the riskier side of thangs. I'm an urban explorer. Exploring abandoned and haunted buildings. You dream every night you find yourself with a lot of time to walk around and explore." Kendra smiled when the waited came back.
"What will you be having tonight miss?
Kendra smiled bigger. It was kind of unexplainable why tonight was so special. She had gone places and not been recognized as a mutant before, but being out on this date and doing it, made her feel like just a normal human. She was relishing the feeling. "Yes, I'll have the Cesar salad." Kendra said handing him the menu. She wasn't terribly hungry. She was to nervous, but she did like salad. The waiter took her menu and turned to Max.
"And for you sir?"
Kendra looked out the window and watched the city zooming by. The traffic, the noise. New York was a interesting place. Nothing like home. Not, that she missed home. She got out of there and she was never going back to that hell hole, but it was still going to take some getting used to New York. It was truly a unique city. Kendra turned back to Max.....

Kendra intended to follow him, but it seemed he was going into his room. Well that stinks. She thought. She was hoping he would do something exciting, interesting. She couldn't snoop if he was just going to bed what was she going to do just have a pajama party with the guy? Well.... She bit her fingernail while she mulled it over. She decided she would give up. After all she had troubled the poor guy enough for one day. She was about to turn around when she heard some growling from inside his room, like he was in pain.
Kendra paused. I could be a nosey parker and find a way into his room and just ya know chill out with the guy for most of the night. Or I could be a good little girl and wander my ass somewhere else. Somewhere where I'm not likely to get mauled to death for being.... Well, for being a nosey parker! Kendra thought to herself. She shifted her weight to one side and placed a hand on her hip. She was still debating in her head. Screw it! She thought.
The hell with it! She thought. She was already being a pain in the ass might as well go for the gold medal. Kendra quickly moved along the hallway and up to his door. She looked around to make sure no one was looking. When he opens the door just slip inside. Invasion of privacy didn't even begin to cover what she was doing, but he would never know and she would at least find and interesting way to kill an evening. She could always sneak out if he fell asleep or something. She wasn't a creepo! She just wanted to see what he was up to when no one was around. Did he dance like no one was watching? She very highly doubted he danced, but he had to do something interesting right? He couldn't just be a grump with no hobbies.
Kendra was satisfied that no one was around and she knocked on the door loudly enough for him to hear it. The knock at the door almost seemed to echo off the baron lonely hallway walls. Kendra swallowed hard. When he opens the door just slip inside girl. She knew she was invisible, but she was still always nervous when she resorted to stealth. She wasn't exactly graceful. There was always the chance she'd be discovered due to her own reckless clumsiness. She did feel sort of bad about spying on people, but it was better than watching paint dry.

Kendra was woefully underdressed she felt when she finally showed up and saw the outside of the restaurant. She saw Max. Purple tie on black? He looks handsome. Kendra walked up feeling like a fish out of water. She was thinking more about what was going to happen over the course of the evening she wasn't exactly thinking about what happened last time. She didn't know that Max was going to question her about it or that he even saw. Kendra smiled and greeted him warmly. "Hey, glad you called."
She said trying to hide her nervous bravado. This wasn't her element, this wasn't her comfort zone. She was way outside of that and she was trying to push herself to be more outgoing. Ever since she got to the mansion she could feel herself coming more and more out of her shell. Her comfort zone was getting a little bigger and a little bigger. Here she was on a proper date.
She had a few questions herself and she'd ask them over the course of dinner. "Should we go in?" She asked. Kendra's hair was brought up in a bun, with a curly lock of hair that hung down over one eye. Her eyes seemed especially vibrant and bright. Her pouty lips a light shade of pink? Yes, she actually bothered with make up as well. That just went to show how big of a deal this was to her. She had on a sky blue button up blouse and a pair of tight jeans. She defiantly need to go shopping.
The inside of the restaurant was warm and lively. It was actually pretty fancy. She didn't realize at first just how pricey this place looked. Kendra raised an eyebrow at Max. This was lavish and expensive looking. She felt more underdressed than ever. "Um..Nice place." She barbed. She wasn't one for flashy cars or money or things. That stuff wouldn't impress her. She had to admit though. He seemed to be trying to impress her just a little bit.

Kendra looked at the clock on her desk. She still had a few hours before she was supposed to meet max, but she didn't think it was enough time. Her hair was a mess and she didn't have anything to wear. She didn't have anything except casual clothes and a few pairs of pajamas. She wasn't about to show up for dinner in a pair of short shorts featuring hello kitty and a bit night shirt. Her wardrobe was decidedly unimpressive.
"I'm in trouble here." She moaned as she decided that she didn't have to be super dressy. "I'll just go super cash." Casual worked she supposed. Kendra grabbed a button up blouse and a pair of jeans and then decided to do something with the mess that was her hair.
52 minutes later......
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Ok I'm not going. That's it! I'm not going." Kendra finally declared to the empty room. No pressure or anything, but this was only like her first official date in god knows how long. She ran a brush through her hair and looked at herself in the mirror on the vanity as she thought about what happened the last time they hung out. It was such an eventful day. Attacked twice? She was excited for a simple, quiet, dinner. No excitement only getting to know each other. She was nervous. How much did she want him to really know about her. Her story wasn't really first date material. If this is even considered a date. Kendra corrected herself mentally.
She got her hair to something that she considered presentable. She honestly looked amazing, but she was to hard on herself. She didn't see beyond her imperfections. It was getting closer now to when she was supposed to meet him. Get it together! You got this. So what, you have a date. That's ok. People do that. People date. It was her first date with a mutant though, she could be herself around him. She didn't have to hide herself from him. Then why oh why did she want to crawl in bed and pull the covers over her head? "Tonight's going to be a disaster." She said with a sigh.

Kendra thought about Ghost's question. How much do I know about it? She thought. She really had to give it some thought. She had never really thought about it in the conditions of "pros' and "cons" before. Pro, I can walk around invisible without being bothered. Con. I have to walk around all night and I'm always tired as hell! Pro. I get to see people. Really see people. When they think no one's watching they don't act differently. Con. Sometimes you learn things about people you don't want to know.
Kendra shrugged at the question. "There's a lot of pros and cons I guess. I never really tried to .... Umm.. Test it." Kendra found herself wondering how she would even go about that. She didn't know it yet, but there were things she could do that she didn't even realize, but just had never spent time understanding her ability or what it's limits were.
Kendra said as they walked. She bumped into a little table holding a vase. The vase rocked on the table and Kendra managed to grab it before it toppled over the edge. Good grief! She thought and turned back to Ghost who thankfully didn't seem to take notice of her continued demonstration of her uncoordinated nature. Kendra cleared her throat. " I can move around unnoticed being invisible..... But, it gets lonely." Her power was one of isolation.
Kendra took time to notice just how beautiful the grounds here were. They were out in a garden now. The tulips were in bloom and the smell of the grass and the fresh air filled Kendra's lungs. She loved the outdoors, she snapped a few photos as they talked. In particular she took a photo of a butterfly that landed on a stone bench.
Kendra lowered her camera. She decided that she was just going to ask out right. Ghost couldn't answer the questions she had if she kept beating around the bush about them. "So is there anyway I can learn to control them? Learn what I can really do?" Kendra said with her back to Ghost. She was staring at the butterfly. Kendra sat down on the stone bench and smiled as the butterfly flew away. She watched it as it drifted away and she looked back at Ghost. It was a shame she couldn't see all these bright vibrant beautiful colors. She really seemed like the type of person who would find it beautiful too.
Kendra knew she was going to find herself wandering the grounds of the mansion taking pictures of this or that. This place was so beautiful that she could find inspiration around every corner. She wouldn't submit any of them to her job though. It seemed wrong. Like this place was a private garden of Eden and it had to be kept secret. These pictures were only for her.

"Kendra" Said quietly. She was nervously tugging at the hem of her shirt. Kendra started to take a step further but stopped when she noticed the picture had fallen on the floor. She stopped and picked it up and placed it back on the shelf where she had found it.
"My name is Gemma, I'm the school's guidance counselor. I'm also an adapted human... do you know what that is?"
Kendra shook her head no only to remember that she couldn't be seen by this woman. She said it out loud and watched as the woman herself took a step forward. She had never encountered an adapted human. Truth be told her knowledge of the mutant world was pretty limited. Some might think she had been living under a rock this whole time, but she honestly shied away from learning more about her mutation. For the longest time she thought she was just having incredibly lucid vivid dreams, and chocked it up to being stressed or some other mundane factor. It wasn't until she realized that she could pull objects back from her dreams with her that she realized something was going on in her body. She couldn't explain it and she didn't look for answers.
It scared her. To think that she was one of the mutants that everyone hated so much. She hadn't been exposed to the culture of mutants having rights, or being treated with kindness. Not in her down south backwards city in Georgia. People weren't progressive there. She only saw the violence and the mistreatment of mutants there. She was terrified to get discovered. It was one of the reasons she left. She had heard rumors of a place in New York. A mansion. It was crazy to think the place existed, but here she was. "My'n trouble? For break'n curfew or something?" Kendra asked. The nervousness bringing out the Georgia twang in her accent she normally tried to keep concealed.
Kendra didn't move from the back corner, She knew it disoriented people when she moved around them this way when she dream walked. She could think about a fixed point and find herself there as if she had teleported in her dreams. Blinking around the room and making it hard to know where she was. She didn't do that. She didn't 'Blink', she didn't budge. Kendra just leaned against the back wall and watched Gemma. She said she was an adapted human. She would be the first human she had ever met that DIDN'T have a problem with mutants. That was a first for her.

Kendra watched as Ghost looked at the photo and simply shrugged it off as if she couldn't even see it. Kendra was starting to grasp that Ghost couldn't see very well and she felt kind of dumb for not really noticing until now.
So moving on. Kendra thought in her head. How many times are you going to embarrass yourself today? Kendra smiled and placed her hand on the wall. She allowed the tips of her fingers to graze over the wainscoting as she walked. In a few days she'd be able to do this tour herself to the new students arriving at the mansion. She would walk these halls a thousand times in a week.
"So you don't see very well do ya?" Kendra said rather awkwardly. She didn't always take the most tactful, polite approach. She wasn't trying to be rude or abrasive she just accidentally blurted it out.
Kendra walked and talked with Ghost about the past and even the future. Not much about her own future. She just listened mostly. She wasn't sure what her own future held for her. Her ears perked when Ghost brought up training. She would love the chance to train her ability. Learn more about it, She imaged if Ghost could do something as impressive as materialize like she did at the gate and that took practice, patience, understanding of her powers. Kendra didn't know how to use her owns she had never sat down and tried to train it. She didn't even know where to begin, but she was down to train if that's what it took to join the team.
Kendra didn't mind the danger. The X-Men missions were dangerous. She figured that much, but how much danger could someone be in if they were invisible? Kendra tapped her fingers along the wall as she moved along. "I'm eager to learn."

Another night another tour around the place. Kendra thought as she sighed. She recently discovered that people can see her in her dream form, but only in reflections. Ever since she made sure she was appropriately dressed when she went to sleep. Kendra was wearing a pair of yoga pants and a tank top. She had her hair up in a pony tail. Kendra sat on the edge of her bed and started to put ON her shoes. As strange as it seemed she would be walking til morning, and whatever she fell asleep with came into her dreams. She didn't want to wander barefoot all night.
Kendra slipped into bed and shifted around until she got comfortable. She sighed and rolled over to her side. Staring at the wall she waited to fall asleep. Her mind was a buzz with so many things. She thought about everyone she had met since she came to the mansion. Everyone here just about had a mutation, she felt more and more at ease the more she got to know the place. With that, she felt asleep more easily.
Kendra was asleep. She stood out of bed and looked over her sleeping body. She took a moment to reach down and pull the covers up over herself. Stepping out into the hall she made sure the door was completely closed and she shoved her hands in her pockets. She curled her bottom lip up and blew the bangs out of her face with a huff of air. She walked pasted a few students who said something about the danger room. Danger room? Kendra wondered. What's that? Kendra heard them say where it was and she decided to have a look. She had seen just about every inch of this place. She hadn't seen the danger room.
Creepy name for a room, but it wasn't going to deter her from checking it out. She had nothing better to do. Kendra yawned and headed over to where the kids said it might be. She was beginning to see that the halls were less and less occupied. Most people were retiring to their rooms for the night. She saw a young red headed woman moving in the same direction. Is she going to this danger room? Kendra found herself interested in what she was doing now. Her curiosity was spiked and now she lingered. She was very pretty. Kendra blushed a little at the innocent thought that momentarily crossed her mind. She watched from a distance trying to be as quiet as possible.

Kendra fell into the alley in a loud clattering of trash bins. She scrambled back against the wall and her eyes searched wildly for the source of her fall. "Hel.." She started to scream but he was on her fast. He swooped in closing the distance with impossible speed. A mutant? He closed a huge distance in the blink of an eye. His hand was covering her mouth now. What did he want? "Ladies shouldn't be wandering around alone in New York sweetheart."
His grip on her shoulders was painfully tight. He was so strong. Kendra tried to struggle away, but that only pissed him off. He shook her violently and her head smacked against the brick wall behind her. Kendra went limp. Unconscious. He watched as slumped down the wall and he laughed.
Kendra was standing outside her body now. She was dream walking the moment he knocked her out. She watched him as he pawed around her body for a moment. "Shame. You're actually pretty cute." Kendra watched as he reached down and unzipped her hoodie. Her limp body sprawled out in the alley. Her ankle twisted at a weird angle. Kendra's body was slumped half against the wall. Her hair cascading down around her like a fiery shower of seductive temptation. This guy could have done anything he wanted to her. Instead he stood up and pulled a gun out of his jacket.
Kendra picked up a loose pipe that was lying in the alley. The man turned his head to the side to take one last look at Kendra before aiming the gun at her. Kendra whistled. He turned and she swung the pipe like a bat directly at his head. He stumbled into the trash and Kendra swung again when he turned to see who hit him. "What... AHHHHHHHHHHH" Kendra brought the pipe down on his knee. He doubled over grabbing his knee howling in pain. Finally she brought the pipe down over the back of his head knocking him out.
Kendra was panting crying now. She didn't know how to even process what had happened. Why would he want to kill me? This wasn't a crime of opportunity; he was here for me. Kendra dropped the pipe and it clattered on the pavement. She rushed over to her body and zipped up her hoody. Kendra grabbed herself by the arms and began to drag her own body down the alley. She pulled herself into a hiding spot behind some boxes and pulled and old tarp down over her. Kendra made sure she was hidden from view and went back over to the man who was still out cold. Kendra reached in his back pocket and grabbed his wallet. She took his ID and slipped it in her pocket and tossed the wallet in the trash.
She gave Max her number but she never got his. She wanted to call him and ask if he could come get her. But that was stupid. He was probably busy getting ready for his meeting. She didn't want to bother him so she handled it herself. Kendra got the guy's phone and found his number. She dialed it and moved back to the other end of the alley and around the corner. She called the man who tried to kill her on the phone. Kendra had her back against the wall and she was peeking around the corner to see when he picked up. She was invisible but she could still be heard. She watched as he began to stir when his ringer went off. He picked up his phone. "Yeah...." He said in a groggy haze. "Who the hell are you? And why did you try and kill me?" The man started to laugh.
"You don't know honey? We're going to get you sooner or later." That was all he said and Kendra watched as he hung up and punched a dumpster in frustration. What the hell is going on? Kendra watched as he left the alley convinced that she got away. He didn't know that she was unconscious only a few feet away from him. Kendra slumped against the wall still holding the phone. She allowed herself to slide down the wall until she was sitting on the ground. Was this because I was a mutant? How could he have known? This doesn't make sense. Kendra was still crying when she heard a noise on the roof above her.
