Kendra's attitude towards the mutants was always empathetic. Even before she knew she was one herself she could relate with the needless cruelty they endured. Kendra would have liked to help them, though she had enough to worry about on her own.
Kendra is usually very clumsy. She has the best of intentions, but usually causes more trouble. She is kind and rather quiet. when she does decide to speak her mind it is something she feels very strongly about. She is slow to trust, but when she does learn to trust you she is loyal. Kendra will go to the ends of the earth to keep those she cares about from harm. Kendra is never one to run headlong into confrontation without good reason. She is usually the first one to try and talk things out rather than get phsyical. She doesn't have an abundance of confidence. The only thing that has ever given her any confidence at all was her photography. She is cheerfully optimistic most of the time, even when things are at their worst she always believes things can and will get better.

Kendra just wants to lead a quiet simple life.
Special talents: Gifted photographer
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Good. Kendra doesn't use her powers to hurt people. She is still learning to control her power and hasn't realized it's full potential yet. She tends to lie more on the good side of the moral compass. She is selfless and brave, when she needs to be. Her desire to avoid confrontation makes her more neutral than anything. If things are dire and she believes she can help, she will act.
Mutations
Mutation description:
Kendra has the power of Dream Walking and dream manipulation. When she sleeps she is able to leave her body and "travel." She has full access to all of her senses in this state. Sight, sound, taste, smell, touch. When traveling she simply has to think of the location and she will be there.
By simply thinking of a location Kendra can teleport. She can only teleport while asleep. Kendra's teleport is short range and has a limit of one mile. Kendra can not teleport other people with this ability.
Kendra also has the power to physically pull things back from her dreams. For example, if she dreams that she is in an office space and grabs a stapler, she will awaken with the stapler in her hand when she awakes.
Others who may be nearby will not see Kendra while dream walking. They will only see her sleeping body in the real world.
In her dream state Kendra manifests as a representation of herself. She appears in reflections and reflective surfaces. Anyone can see Kendra in a reflection or reflective surface. Kendra can see herself. The only thing that gives her an indication that she is dreaming is a slight glow that envelopes her like an aura.
Kendra can touch, move, and manipulate the world around her when dream walking. She can phsyically pick up objects and move them around. She can open doors and throw objects as if she were really there. Anyone can witness this. The objects she manipulates would appear to move on their own.
The objects Kendra can pull back from her dreams have to be touching her at the moment she wakes. If she is holding something it will come back with her. She can not bring living orginisms back with her from her dreams.
When dream walking she can speak and be heard. Her voice will fill the room as a disembodied voice.
If Kendra is injured in a dream she will have a healed scar on her body in the real world. If she get a cut, her body will have a scar. If she breaks a bone in a dream. She will have an old scar and a healed wound. The injury will affect her in the waking world would be as if it was an injury she's already recovered from. She doesn't know why her body does this.
If Kendra is covered in something like a sheet in a dream she will take a physical form. The sheet will drape over her and outline her body. If she gets wet with paint it will mark her, or if she is wet the water droplets will cling to her skin and the droplets will be seen as if they were floating. Effectively showing where she is standing.
If Kendra is knocked out she will automatically enter a dream walking state. Even knocked out she is present and able to direct the course of events.
In her dream state Kendra takes up a physical space. Things can interact with her, such as a fan on the desk could cause her hair to blow around. She can be touched by others in this dream walking state as she does take up space in that world.
Strengths:
Kendra's dream walking puts her at an advantage. Stepping into a dream she can see the world in real time. She doesn't dream as a normal human. She doesn't dream of giant ice cream sundaes or far off make believe lands, she dreams of the world in real time. Everyone and everything in her dreams exist in this realm exactly as they do when she is awake. If she goes to sleep with someone in the next room. She can walk through that room in her dream and see what they are doing while she is slumbering.
She can touch and manipulate objects in this state as if she were really there. Objects she moves can be seen by those around her, though they will appear to be moving on their own as she can not be seen in her dream state.
Kendra can pull objects back from her dreams. Anything she is holding when she wakes up will come back to her body with her. For example. If she is holding an apple while dreaming, upon awaking she will still be holding the apple.
Kendra's ability allows her to dream walk to any place she can think of, though she has to have physically been there at least once. This has a limit to being within the confines of a single city.
Weaknesses and Limitations:
Kendra is not granted any super human speed or strength in her dreams. She can not achieve impossible feats simply because she is dreaming. She is bound by the rules of physics and such she can not pull off the impossible. Kendra can not lift things in a dream she would ordinarily not be able to lift.
While dream walking Kendra is left extremely valunerable . In this state she can be captured or attacked and left valunerable to psychic attacks. When dream walking Kendra can be seen by powerful psychics. Though normal mutants and less powerful psychics will not know she is there.
Kendra has also been known to battle brief fits of insomnia in times of great stress, though this is rare.
When manipulating objects in her dream state items can be taken from her. If she is holding a cup someone can take it from her hand. To those who can see her, it will be as if she is physically in the room with them.
There is a limit to the size of the inanimate objects she can bring back from dreams. She can only bring back objects no larger than she can carry in both hands.
Kendra does not dream as normal people do. When she sleeps she instantly falls into her dream walking state. It is not something she can control and she will find herself wandering the halls until morning. She usually rises from her sleep rather tired; as if she had not gotten a full night's sleep.
Kendra is a light sleeper. If there is a sudden noise loud enough to wake her, she will be pulled from her dream walking state instantly upon waking.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities:
Kendra is softspoken and quiet. Kendra is one of those unremarkable faces that is easily forgotten. She's spent most of her life being the wallflower that no one notices, thus she has a knack for blending in. Kendra is fast on her feet and has quick keen reflexes. Though bouts of clumsyness often prevent her from being considered "stealthy" Kendra is simply, ordinary. She doesn't have a lot of physcial natural abilities other than being a fast runner and quick reflexes.
Fighting Style: None
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Kendra is not much of a fighter. Her mutant ability does not lend itself to putting herself in physical attercations. If she finds herself in a fight, her first instinct is to run away. Even against the humans she doesn't hold much confidence that she would be declared the victor when the dust settled.
History Of Your Character
Kendra always knew she was different. She was shy, clumsy; socially awkward. She didn't have the happiest of childhoods. Her father was a regular blue collar man who spent his nights drinking and swearing between fits of mumbling and drooling on his shirt in his favorite arm chair. She grew up raised by a single father. Her father became an alchoholic when Kendra's mother died giving birth to her. Kendra's father blamed her for it and has never been a kind or generous man. Kendra knew not to disturb him when he'd had a few drinks. More than once her father had slapped her around for no good reason.
It was this very fact that made her discover her powers. Kendra would cry herself to sleep after being slapped around and literally wish she was anywhere but there. It didn't matter. She had no friends, none close enough to hang out with. She had no brief escapes of this hellish nightmare that was her life so she dreamed. She thought about anyplace that was desolite. Any place where she could find solitude.
The first time she dream walked she thought about the abandoned house a few blocks away. Oh how she wished she could be there now instead of listening to her father scream in the next room. At least it would be quiet. When her eyes became heavy she was still thinking about it..... That's when she found herself standing on the front lawn.
The wind was blowing her hair gently around her face as she stared down at the tall grass. The shutters hung broken on their hinges and several windows busted out from neighborhood punks. She was here. At the abandoned house, but how?
Kendra moved in awe up to the gate. Her hand reached out and pushed it open. The iron gate swung open with a tortured rusty squeak. She could hear the sound of the shutters banging on the wall of the exterior of the house in the light wind. She felt her heart hammering in her chest as her mind tried to contemplate how she got there.
This doesn't make sense she thought. Kendra moved up the porch steps cautiously. This was her safe haven. She had slipped out of the house and spent many nights here. Her father always to drunk to realize she was even gone. Kendra moved up to the front door and reached out. She grasped the knob in her trembling hand. The door creaked and the knob broke off in her hand. Wood rot caused the door to give way and release it's knob to her grip. Kendra stared at the doorknob for a moment.
Suddenly a hard smack brought her back to reality. It was her father. He was towering over her. The smell of beer on his breath swam down the back of her throat and nearly choked her it was so strong. He was screaming about something and shook his head angrily and stormed out slamming the door behind him. Kendra couldn't make sense of it. She looked down and saw the door knob from the vacant house still in her hand.

Kendra knew there was only one way to get back into the building. It was heavily guarded and there was no way she would get in on her own. She had to dream her way in. It still frightened her; the power that she wielded, but if she was to save her friend it would be nessary. Kendra didn't think she'd even be able to sleep. Not when she was so anxious, so nervous. Ellie's fate was hanging in the balance and she wanted to sleep?!? But she had no other answers. She was running out or road and ideas and this was her hail mary. "Here goes." Kendra said and reclined her seat.
She had never tried to dream walk and bring back people with her from her dreams. She didn't even know if it was possible but she had to try. Kendra fell asleep surprisingly quickly. She felt the familiar tingling feeling. The warmth spreading through her body as she found herself in the land of dreams.
Everything looked as it should and within the blink of an eye Kendra found herself in front of the building that held her friend. Kendra moved quietly through the front door unnoticed. The guards didn't notice the door slip open a crack. Kendra moved with purpose. She had to find Ellie. She was being held against her will. Kendra didn't have many friends. She didn't have many people who she cared about but Ellie was one of them. Ellie was one of the only people that was kind to her.
Kendra moved from room to room searching and finding nothing more than empty rooms. That was until she found a room at the end of a dimly lit hallway. The light above flickered as if to give her pause. As if it were trying to warn her that things were about to go horribly wrong. The door was open. Kendra walked in and almost shouted. "Ellie!" She cried out inside her mind. Ellie was tied to a chair and she looked as if she had gone through unspeakable things.
There was a man behind her with his hand on Ellie's shoulder. Kendra swallowed hard and took a step forward. She was going to grab Ellie's hand and try to bring her back..... She had brought back smaller things in the past. Why not Ellie? Kendra took a step forward and stopped. The man lifted his head and stared at Kendra. He was smiling. "Hello.....Kendra" He said with an evil smirk on his face.
He lifted a gun and pointed it at Kendra's chest and pulled the trigger. Kendra woke up screaming in her car a few blocks away. She searched for a gunshot that was not there in a frenzy. "He saw me." Kendra said, to no one but the crickets chirping in the field beside her.
