The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Character
Personality: Noah is generally a shy, awkward guy who keeps to himself most of the time. He’s kind to those he meets, but he’s reserved and rarely offers up conversation without being prompted. For this reason, he can come off as aloof. When he makes a friend, though, he’s incredibly loyal.
He hates putting his own needs ahead of anyone else’s. He’s selfless to a fault, as if he doesn’t really feel like he’s worth anything anymore if he can’t help other people. He fills every moment of his time with research, teaching, and work so he has no spare time to dwell on his own issues- boredom is his worst enemy, so he puts all his energy into his work, and makes a fabulous employee. He tends to run himself into the ground working, then go home and drink whiskey to force himself to sleep, then rinse and repeat the next day.
Not many people see that side of him, though, as he doesn’t like to talk about himself or his past. He’s an extremely good listener, and will bend over backwards to help others, as long as you don’t get too nosey about him. Hobbies/ Interests: Reading, volunteer work, gardening, cooking Job or part time job and description: He's an attending physician at the local emergency room. Fears/ phobias/ concerns: He fears losing more people that are important to him. He also absolutely hates guns. Special talents: He's a really good cook and great at growing flowers and vegetables, though he hardly ever does it anymore.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Good - he honestly wants the best for people. He's a helpful soul, and will do what he can to help others.
Mutations
Mutation description: Biological Manipulation- he can heal humans and animals through touch. He cannot heal himself. Minor wounds can take as little as a few seconds, but the worse the wound, the longer it takes. If he were to try to heal something serious like a deep stab wound or gunshot wound, it would take a few minutes, if he could handle healing for that long. If he's at full strength, he can feasibly heal stab or gunshot wounds, and large gashes that would otherwise require stitches. However, it's always iffy, and he doesn't do it often because then he would be useless for hours afterward. Dismemberment and such are beyond his abilities- he sticks with traditional human medicine for those situations. The more he heals in a day, and the larger the wounds, the weaker he gets. He could feasibly heal five or six small wounds a day and just leave himself tired- larger wounds are a much bigger drain on him, and once he's healed one of those, he often can't summon the energy to heal again for as long as a day afterward. He's been known to pass out trying to do too much healing in one day. He can only heal living tissue, and he can only heal physical wounds- not toxins, poisons, or diseases. Strengths: When he's at full strength, he can heal fairly rapidly. Weaknesses: The process drains him rather quickly and takes a great amount of concentration- and as he heals, he feels the pain that the injury caused, in the location where the injury is. If he tries to tackle too extreme of an injury, he may black out in the effort. The most extreme result thus far has been a week long coma after attempting to heal a patient who had a gunshot wound to the chest.
Secondary mutation description: -
Fighting Style
Explanation: He's not a fighter. The only fights he's been in are the occasional bar fight. He is, however, a great healer in a pinch. Pros for fighting style: He's a good support to have around should a fight happen. Cons for fighting style: If he gets caught in the crossfire, he's kind of useless.
Faction Allegiance: Unaffiliated
History Of Your Character:
Noah was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and was the only child to his parents. For the first 11 years of his life he was a normal child in a fairly normal, happy family- until his mother was killed in the line of duty. His father spiraled downward, turning to alcohol, and Noah buried himself in his schoolwork in order to cope.
He made very few friends through middle school, and it didn’t help that his powers began to manifest then. He found that when his friends had scrapes or bruises, if they touched him, the wounds would lessen or disappear altogether- and when he tried, he could entirely heal bigger wounds, though it exhausted him and caused a ton of pain while he did it. He kept this to himself, as he and his dad were never on good terms after the shooting.
He graduated top of his class and went on to pre-med school in San Diego, where he met Abigail Ellis, who was studying photography and journalism. For once he clicked with someone, and they hit it off quickly, becoming friends. Shortly after, they began dating. After only a year, he proposed to her, and they married within a year after that. They married in a small ceremony, and people who knew Noah were shocked at his turnaround- suddenly he was happy, full of life. They were what others would describe as the ‘perfect couple’.
But four years later, when Noah was just finishing his residency and close to his full PhD, disaster struck- Abigail was killed in a car wreck. He managed to scrape through the last bit of his schooling and graduate, but then he completely fell apart socially. He got a job in New York City, as far away from those memories as he could get. He excelled in his job, but outside of work, he was a mess, and a bit of a hermit. He still keeps people at arm’s length as much as possible.

Another rainy day.
Noah leaned back against the counter, staring at the tabletop, though not really seeing it. His glass of whiskey was already half drained in his hand, though he’d probably only been home a half hour, at most. His shirt was unbuttoned halfway down, the chain on his neck catching the dim light in the room.
One of his coworkers had invited him out again tonight, to hit the bar with a few of the guys. He’d said he already had other plans, and he did: plans that involved staying at home and getting completely wasted on whiskey, then falling into bed mindlessly so he could get up and do the same thing tomorrow. He never said that it was a good plan, after all.
He looked out the window, catching sight of his neighbors getting home, huddling under an umbrella to get to the steps of their townhouse. They were an older couple, nice enough people; the important part was that they kept to themselves.
Not that it helped much. Every time he saw them, Noah could only think of what might have been.
He drained the rest of the glass and sighed, heading back to the bottle he had left in the living room, passing a picture of a radiant, smiling blonde and himself, back in happier times. His fingers brushed the frame as he walked by it.
Awesome, a healer, believe it or not thats sort of rare on o this site, our only other person that can heal others is an NPC. This should be intresting to see what sort of people he runs into, considering the people of this site have a habbit of geting hurt.
My character wants to be a doctor someday. Then again, the death of people he cares about can make him resurrect them into thralls, so maybe a career change is in order. Cool character, now I know where to go to if Miles gets beaten to a pulp someday.
