The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Lydia waited for another blow to strike her, but was surprised to find a blackness enveloping her instead. The shadows felt...soft, strangely, as they lifted her to her feet and flipped her right-side up, depositing her next to the shadowmancer. She wondered why she wasn’t freaking out, being around so many mutants and their very active mutations.
>> "Are you okay?"
"Yeah...thanks," she mumbled, gathering her bearings. All she had were scratches as far as she could tell, from the glass and wood splinters that had made it to her more exposed areas. Shadow Guy was batting away the approaching hordes, protecting Lydia and the other girl.
>> "Any chance either of you gals is hiding a turkey-crushing mutation?"
She almost laughed. The gargoyle (because that’s what Dia realized she looked like) girl grabbed a pipe, prompting her to do the same. It was better than a broken piece of wood, or nothing at all, especially since she had no mutation to speak of. The man’s mutation seemed to be effective enough against the frozen monstrosities, but the stream of turkeys seemed endless.
The young man from before, the one Lydia had bumped into, the one with the silver skin and sword, appeared before the trio, and addressed the other girl. They exchanged comments for a moment, making it apparent that the man, Shawn, or Silver Streak, was a teacher (Which for one, the teenager did not believe. He looked like a freaking model!). And the girl, Gina, was his student.
>> “What's yall's names?” >> "Call me Umbra for now then. And don't mention it; there aren't exactly many places I'd call safe 'round here, so I'm happy to protect these young gals. So taking care of these lil things is fine and all, but do you have a plan for the giant one?"
Are those…code names? Who exactly are these people? “My name’s Lydia,” she replied, feeling very out of place. She turned when Umbra pointed out the Mother Turk-zilla, and was shocked to see how much closer it was. The water cop was attacking it, along with something burning and bright that Lyd couldn’t quite discern.

Jorge
Zachery could not be more pleased with the carnage that he was causing. Buildings toppled before him, the sounds of screaming echoed in the streets, and there was absolutely nothing that anyone in this pathetic city could do to stop him. Not once he got to the grocery market, especially one of those damned warehouse stores. His golems were doing well but he wanted to overrun the city! He wanted them all to know the pain he felt every Thanksgiving from his birth! And he would do so with impunity.
But as his enormous turkey avatar stomped and crashed through the streets, he could not help but notice that he was meeting some resistance. His connection to the smaller golems was lessening and lessening. People were fighting back and in some cases they were winning. But Zachery knew that they could not keep it up forever. So what if he lost a few of his golems in the process? He could always make more…and that was exactly his intention.
He urged his massive golem forward, and through his sense he could feel the warehouse store of Costco in the middle of the city. From there he could feel the pulled presence of many of his killed and frozen brethren. Those lost souls who, like him, never had a say against the cruelty they faced on this day of feasting. The thought of such only made him angrier as he pressed on.
All of them would pay.
Feeling some momentary loss at one of his legs, he urged the frozen butterballs to move down and patch it up until he could gather more.
STOMP!!
STOMP!!!
STOMP!!![/b]
He entered the parking lot and smirked as he could feel the multitude of people begin to panic. Their screams echoed through the combined turkeys as they abandoned their grocery carts and fled to any place they deemed safer. They would learn that nothing is safe.
Standing in the parking lot, Zachery twisted the turkeys within, bending them until they form a rudimentary microphone of sorts, an impromptu mouth. He took in a sharp breath, ruffled his feathers and finally bellowed out with a massive…
”GOOOOOOOOOOOOOBLE GOOBLE GOOOOOOOOOOOOBLE!!!”
Seconds later, people in the store began to flee as frozen and fresh turkeys rolled and began to rejoin into his massive frame. On top of that, several of the fresh turkeys broke out of their packagings and began to roam around as even small golems, the size of regular turkeys. They ran out in mass, flooding the streets and causing mayhem while those that joined the more massive golem only increased his mass.
He would not be stopped…
****
Jorge was beginning to realize that there was some fruitlessness to this endeavor. He could not take on all these turkeys by himself, as much as he wanted to. People were screaming and panicking and fleeing through the streets. Many of them looked to him for answers but the problem was that he simply did not have any. He didn’t know how to stop this thing. The only thing he could do was keep fighting and hope that a solution would present itself.
Throwing another jet of water out, he slammed into another golem that was threatening a family in the car. It turned to him and began to taking earth shaking steps in his direction but Jorge kept putting the pressure into the water as parts of it broke off and off until finally it collapsed under its own weight.
He sighed a bit in relief. Another one down…who knows how many more to go.
But as he thought of this he looked to the side to see that further down the street there was another group of people amassed. A man he recognized from a meeting once, he belonged to mansion has head of security. There was also another man he didn’t know who seemed to be helping as well as both Gina, a young gargoyle girl who’s life he helped save, and of course Lydia, a girl he had only met once but immediately recognized her as being one of those mutants that helped Drew and Rhythm take down a spiky tailed mutant that attacked a coffee shop.
What the hell were they all just doing out in the city? Brandishing pipes no less.
Out of the corner of his eye, chasing down the massive turkey that was making its way deeper into the city, he spied a glow, globule man that chasing after. He arched a brow. Suicide mission?
Shaking it off, he jogged over to the gathered group.
“Is everyone alright here?” he asked with concern.
He needed a plan. The X-men would be good right now and eyeing the mansion’s head of security, he figured that the man could indeed be helpful. But before he could say anymore he looked down the street to see a mass of single, raw turkeys dashing about the streets, flooding from the grocery store…

Streak let them all have their say to make sure they weren't hurt. Then introductions were made. He found it a little funny that they had time to make introductions during all this but things seemed to have taken a breather for a minute. "It's great to meet yall. Now lets think of a way to get rid of this thing."
Just then Jorge showed up. He'd met him before at the mansion and seemed to finally get himself some free time to stop over at the group that was quickly becoming a rather large object to attack. "What's the plan man." Streak was hoping that maybe Jorge had a plan. "Ok let's look at the facts. We've got a giant turkey rampaging through the city and little mini turkeys doing the same thing."
Just then he noticed that there were more turkey's establishing themselves through their own destruction. "Looks like this person can create more turkey's from any store. We might be in trouble considering how many turkey's are in the city today." Streak considered some options that might make them more sucessful at getting rid of this thing. He soon continued his talk. It wasn't really meant for anyone but he found it easier to figure things out if he could talk them out loud.
"Well, there's obviously someone controlling these things so if we can find the person then we should be ok and it shoudln't be to hard to stop whoever it is. Unless the person is smart and is inside the girant turkey. I'm open to suggestions." Streak said throwing that out there. He knew how he was going to go about this he just wanted to make sure that the others had the same plans. Streak plan was basically hacking away at the thing. He imagined that he'd eventually get to the center of the turkeys. But hopefully someone else had a better plan.
Aedus Moved as fast as he could after the turkey giant, it shook of his leg attack without so much as a care. He expected to keep its attention, but it obviously didn't feel the pain of its parts, it could just let the burnt bits drop away from its body.
The long strides of the giant, had left the pitiful movement of Aedus behind, his lava form was dangerous, but it was also sloooow. He left sizzling pot holes behind in every step. Aedus watched in horror as another grocery store was emptied of its turkeys. He shouted at a citizen that was fleeing,
"Stop! Call the police and tell them to order every grocery store, to get their frozen turkeys out of the city, the giant can make more.stay on the line until you get them."
The man nodded to the lava golem and fled for his life once more. He sincerely hoped the man made the call. He began to move forward again chasing at his frustratingly slow pace. how was he supposed to melt the thing if it wouldn't stay still. he only had so much time to do damage.
Silver asked for suggestions; it seemed Nate was not the only one hoping someone had figured something out. His power was useful for dispatching golems, but not nearly strong enough to attack the giant beast. Nate scanned the chaos for anything that might help and had his eye caught by a walking trail of magma losing ground on the giant turkey.
Nate controlled his shadow as an afterthought, keeping smaller avatars at bay, tossing them away to offer the team more time. This plan would not last long with the increasing number of threats. "Well, if there's someone or something in that thing, can any of us break through it? I know I can't." The cop might; water was pretty good for creeping through cracks. As for Silver Streak, he was not sure how far he could extend that metal.
"Whoever that mass of lava is, he might be useful," after all, this was uncooked turkey-- heat might be as effective as anything else, "but it looks like he can't keep up with the thing."
Time was not on their side; if they took too long here, by the time they formed a plan, the city would be half-destroyed. "Maybe y'all can figure a way to slow it down? I can try to focus on keeping the masses of smaller problems dealt with." I'd be pretty useless against the big boy, after all.
For the last few moment, Sara had been lost in her own work. The first frozen turkey Golem that had attacked her now lay in pieces of it's pieces. The smell of fear sweat from what was left of the crowd around her mingled with the smell of raw turkey flesh, made Sara's eyes dilate. She was nearly loosing herself completely in her own instincts that were normally so closely leashed. The metal rod that was in her right hand and for a moment, she used it on support, leaning on it with her eyes squeezed shut.
in the chaos, Sara had lost track of everyone except the giant Turk-zilla, and the lava man at it's feet who seemingly came out of nowhere while she was battling the giant's 15 foot tall mini me.
”GOOOOOOOOOOOOOBLE GOOBLE GOOOOOOOOOOOOBLE!!!”
Sara's focus snapped back so sharply a pin might of poked her. Her eyes widened as she not only watched as the Turk-zilla began to gobble, but there were more frozen turkeys coming out of the store... Yup New York had one heck of a problem on it's plate this time.
With that new information, Sara took off to catch up to the worlds fowlest dinner of them all. By the time Sara had reached the feet of the giant turkey, there was a lava golem who seemed to be trying to fight it off and keep up with it as well. She had to skirt around some burnt areas of the cement, for bare feline feet still burn and hurt even if their owner has the ability to heal.
Sara picked up speed even more as she came up behind the lava golem mutant, then passed him. "Cool trick." She said as she passed as a sort of greeting. She reached the base of Turk-zilla just as the many many smaller turkeys reached it as well. Some added their numbers to the already ginormous bird, while a wave of smaller once tried to trip Sara up or run past her out of her reach. Sara swung that long metal rod around the front of her whipping four smaller packageless turkeys out of her way then she lept into the air. Bringing her metal pole abover her head as her back arched back but her jump carried her forward at a good speed and height. With both hands, Sara drove that metal pole forward like a spear straight into, and partially through where the knee joint would be on the turk-zilla. Had it had knee joints. The pole stuck maybe 3 feet deep into the birds leaving Sara with about 4 feet to hang on to. with the inertia Sara's feet flipped forward to land on the frozen meat for a moment before she pushed off with them and twisted again, this time, vertically, around the stuck pole. Trying to twist and loosen the turkeys enough to take out a piece of them. Starting her third turn, she felt the pole loosen and she propelled herself to the side holding onto the metal make shift spear. Sara flue through the air, flipping, twisting, and spinning unceremoniously to try to regain her balance in the air before her body found the cement floor and rolled. butter balls went flying in the other. She'd managed to make a hole. Not a big hole, but a hole.
The impact with the groud hurt, and Sara was mentally kicking herself for not finding a better plan as she healed. Mean while she also hoped that knocking loose what she did was enough to at least make the giant bird loose it's footing and some of it's support on one leg as she steadied herself. Crouching on the ground for a moment, Rod still in hand, and trying to figure out what the next best plan of attack was.
