The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ted walked down the street, looking for a cheap clothes shop whilst trying to avoid the suspition of any cops.He hadn't done any shopping in ages; he'd been in New York for months, but never had any money with which to buy anything. He spotted something promising, and went in. He had difficulty deciding what to buy, and spent a good deal of time in the dressing room. He had his $200 on him, and only now realised how much that limited his choices. He was going to have to find some way of getting more money. Mr. Antonescu seemed like a nice guy, maybe he'd be willing to give him a job.
Eventually, Ted decided on a simple T-shirt and jeans. These both allowed room for growth, so that they didn't tear if he transforms. He also decided on a fake leather three quarter length jacket. It was on sale, so he couldn't help himself. To complete his outfit, he also bought a wide brim hat so that the police would be less likely to recognise him. He walked out into the street, now with only a few dollars left, and then realised that he was lost. Damnit, i really should have paid more attentio to where I was walking. Shrugging, he picked a random direction and started walking. He hadn't the time to spend sight-seeing before.
Tristan was walking down the street quickly wearing a long trench coat with the collar turned up. He walked against the crowd of people plowing through them with no remorse. He shifted a few bills that he had in his pocket, he needed tools for his garage so he could start making money. Tristan looked up at the sky, or what you could see of it in New York City, "Great it's gunna start raining soon." He started moving faster almost running, he clipped a person walking down the sidewalk, Tristan lost his footing and fell to the ground, "Yo not cool man," He looked up and saw a familiar face though he couldn't quite place where he had seen it before.

"Yo not cool man"
Ted looked down at the figure sprawled on the floor. "Oh, sorry, must have missed you." Ted thought the face looked familiar, and then he recognised him. "Hey, don't you live at the mansion? I'm sure I saw you there. I'm Ted." He held out a hand to help him up. "I'm a little lost, I was wondering if you could show me the way back there?" Ted struggled to remember the guy's name, but it completly slipped his mind. Ah well, can't be helped.
Tristan took his hand and stood up and brushed himself off. "Oh yeah i remeber you now, we met in the infirmiry, hows that girl doing i think her name was Raina or something." He looked around, truth be told i don't know my way around here either i just bought a garage down the street and i needed some supplies so i thought i would look for a hardware store, though i'm thinking about going back." He pointed at the sky, "It's about to rain and i have a ... thing with water."

"Raina? She's fine, after the doc did his magic she was in better shape than me." Ted laughed, and then heard the guy's next comment. "Ah. Oh well, I'm sure we'll find it if we keep looking." Ted looked up as the guy pointed, and realised that the clouds had come rolling in. So, the hat had some drawbacks. Not very big ones compared to being arrested for murder. "Wait, going back? I thought you said you didn't know the way?"
"At the moment I'm only a few blocks so i sorta know my way back," He glanced back. "Well i think i do, hey what ever happened with that ... wolf guy. He seemed to tear the place up a bit. I only stayed long enough to see that Iris was OK." he felt a raindrop hit his head, "Aw damn."

"Oh, him. Yeah, I know him, what with him being me." Ted gave a grin, "I'm the one who tore the place up a bit. Though I think Iris outclasses me in the collateral damage spectrum." Ted laughed some more, and then something clicked. "Wait, you don't live at the mansion? I thought all the guys there did, apprently i was wrong." Ted noticed the rain too, but couldn't care less. His coat was waterproof. Probably.
Tristan dug under the back of his coat and pulled on a hood. "Well i ... how do i put this, i left. I couldn't stay there it's just that, i wouldn't fit in there." He looked around at the people passing by. "Can't talk freely with all these humans around." The rain began to come down heavier, making Tristan shiver.

"Oh. Well, fair enough, each man to his own." Ted noticed something in the way he said 'humans', but decided not to mention it. It could be nothing. Ted also noticed how the guy didn't seem to like rain. At all. "Well, why don't we head over to your place? You don't mind, do you?" Ted hoped not, as otherwise he would have to find someone else to show him the way to the mansion, and not many humans are fans of mutants.
"Ugh no not at all." He looked back to where he came from. "This way," He started walking down the street. "I would drive us there but my car is broke down the fuel injector broke. Oh well thats what i get for having a old car but i ove that thing." He looked over to Ted. "Do you drive."

Ted swiftly followed the guy to catch up. "I drive, but I've got an english driver's license, and that's back in England. It wouldn't work here anyway. I've not driven an american car, are they any different? Apart from the whole 'driving on the wrong side of the road thing'." Ted laughed. "I still don't know your name. Uh-oh, cops!" Ted swiftly ducked his head to avoid being seen and ushered the mutant to move faster. "I'll explain later, just don't let those two cops see my face." Ted kept his head ducked as they passed a pair of cops walking in the opposite direction.
Tristan switched spots with Ted as the cops came closer so that Tristan was closer to them. "Names Tristan, thats right we never had proper introduction." he said after the cops were out of ear shot. "Here we are," he walked up to the entrance door of his garage and pulled out his keys. "You'll have to excuse the mess i just moved in the other day, hell i shouldn't even live here my parents still think i'm at the mansion." He opened the door and walked inside flipping a switch illuminating a large garage with a 69 shelby mustang sitting in the corner with the hood propped up.

"Thanks. Nice to meet you, Tristan." When Tristan showed him the place, Ted saw a little surprised. He had expected an apartment or something, but a garage? That was cool. "Mess? Dude, I've lived on the streets on New York for the past half a year. Don't worry about a little mess. Why don't you tell your parents you moved? Surely they'll be pleased you've been able to get yourself a job and start out on your own." Ted spotted the car, and whilst he was vaguely interested in cars, he just saw them as a way of getting from place to plcae. He'd never understood the way some guys personify their cars. "Nice car. You're a mechanic, I'm guessing. It's a nice place, most people in the city seem to live in little apartments, this is quite big. You must have paid quite alot for it."
Tristan looked around with an air of pride. "Yeah this is my sanctuary, theres a loft upstairs but i use it for sleep and storage. I've been a mechanic for a while, something about cars just, you know fascinates me. And i don't tell my parents cause i bought it with a fake I.D. and my mom would make me move back home. There humans so they had a bit of trouble with my.. advancement." He walked over to the kitchen in the corner of the garage. "Want coffee or cold pizza thats pretty much all i got."

Ted's ears almost physically perked upwards. His mood sure did. "Pizza? I'll eat that regardless of temperature." He gave a wolfish grin and settled down on a chair, "Not so much a fan of coffee, though. That seems to be some sort of american thing. i don't suppose you have any tea?" ed highly doubted it, though back in England it was almost unheard of to see men with physical jobs, like builders or mechanics, who didn't like tea. Ted sure did. But ah well, if he had none, then it couldn't be helped. "If not, then water will be fine if you don't have coke." He gave another grin, he'd always liked coke when he was younger. It'd been way too long since he'd had a can of coke and even longer since he had a decent cup of tea.
