The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Oh, don't worry, just thinking to myself." Ted watched Tristan slide under the engine. "So what are you doing now?" Ted decided that if he was going to work here, he may as well learn something.
"Well," Tristan said from under the car. "At the moment, i'm hooking up a fuel injector. I knew i had an old one lying around here somewhere. You see it's like a fuel pump but better. All i have to do is connect this to the gas tank and the other enf to the engine and we're golden. Of course it's an older one and i still need to get that new one but it's good enough to last till then. Installation is pretty easy, think of it as a big Jiggsaw puzzle thats what my old man taught me."
Ted nodded. "So it's basically a device that gets fuel from the tank to the engine. Ok, simple enough, so you just plug it in at each end and let it do its job?" Ted bent down to get a better look at what Tristan was doing. "I remember I used to o jigsaws, until they got too easy. Then my dad bought me a 3-D one, and I practiced until I was as good with those as with the originals. This doesn't look too hard. Yet." Ted laughed, he knew it had to be harder than this somewhere along the line, or else anyone could do it and such a career wouldn't exist.
"Yeah this parts easy, trust me some parts are hard." Tristan sealed one end to the engine and slid out from under the car. "There that outta do it." He hopped in the driver's seat of the car and twisted the key. The engine roared to life. Tristan laid back his head on the seat and placed his hand on the clutch. "Sounds beautiful don't she." Tristan yelled over the engine roar.

"That's one hell of a purr!" Ted shouted back over the roaring engine. "I think the rain's stopped, want to show me what she can do?" The car certainly sounded powerful, though with New York traffic it may not be the best environment for showing off. "Or are you just going to sit there and listen to it?"
Tristan smirked, he pulled the car back and pulled the car so that it was facing the garage door. "What do you think." He shouted. He gripped the clutch and got that feeling on being connected with the car that he got every time.

Ted grinned and climbed into the passenger seat. "I think she's asking to be let loose. Let's show New Yorkers what a real car can do." Ted then slightly ruined the image by putting on his seatbelt. Safety first!
Tristan looked over as Ted click his seat belt in. He couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah thats gunna save your life." He grabbed a remote out of his pocket, pointed ut at the garage door and it went up showing an almost empty street. "Ah just what i wanted to see," Tristan revved the engine. He pulled into the road hitting the button again closing the garage, and set off down the open road '20....30....40'

"Trust me, I'm going to use every safety precaution availble to me. My power is activated by pain, and you do not want an angry, large werewolf in such a confined space." Ted marveled at how fast the car was picking up speed. He noticed it breaking the speed limit, and was about to mention something, but decided that his was too fun. Consequences could be worried about later. "So, we gonna go anywhere in particular, or just keep driving until something else breaks?" Ted had to shout over the roar of the engine. It was one hell of a beast, alright.
"Yeah definatly don't want you loose here. And i'm thinkin the freeway we can stretch our legs there," '40...50...60' Tristan weaved through cars skillfully. He looked up ahead and saw a sign pointing to the freeway. "Ah there's Mecca Ted." He turned and saw the on ramp just ahead,

"The frreway? Now you're talking." Ted noted the skill Tristan put into avoiding the cars; this guy knew what he was doing. That could only be a good thing. "Kay, just make sure not to miss it. I don't want to be stuck in New York traffic all day." Ted gave Tristan a grin, "I want to see what this baby can really do."
Tristan drove up the ramp and onto the freeway. It was three lanes of open road at this hour with an exception of a few odd cars. "Now this is what i'm talking about." Tristan pressed againt the gas peddle as they hit the open road. "60...70...80' He cranked up the radio over the roar of the engine. crusing freely down the road.

Ted looked out across the open road. He was glad there weren't many cars, so they could really pick up some speed. Ted watched the speedometer increase steadily, and realised that he wasn't sure whether it was in mph or km/h, but then realised that he didn't care. He rolled the window down and stuck his head out, enjoying the breeze running along his face. He then pulled his head back in, before Tristan decided to go a little too close to another car. Or a lamppost. "So how much more speed can you weedle out of her?"
] Tristan kept rushing forward laughing as Ted stuck his head out the window. '80...90...100...' he was really getting up there. He felt the rush that he got whenever he got this fast that rush that he could do anything, that he was invinsible. He pressed down on the gas further '110...120' "WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" He screamed. Almost like it was a signal red and blue lights flashed behind them. "Oh snap!" Tristan yelled looking behind them.

Ted looked behind them, and then common sense decided to kick in. "Umm, maybe we should stop? There's just going to write down the license plate and get you anyway. Not much we can do about it." Then more common sense kicked in, "But wait, I'm a wanted fugitive. Maybe we should keep going. You can outrun them, right? Because I do not want to be caught by them again." Ted looked behind them, and all common sense left him. "I said I wanted to see if this baby was fast, and now we have the perfect oppurtunity!"
