The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Ah, but with the stuffed crust you get a classic example of too much of a good thing. With deep pan, it makes all taste nice, even the bread itself. Maybe if the two were combined in some way, so that the bread is full of cheese all the way through. I''m not sure how they could do that, though." Ted had heard the pitter patter the whole time. It was getting heavier. "You don't like the rain?" Damn, just remembered that i forgot to buy swimwear. I'll have to deal with that later.
Tristan sort of sulked over his tea. "Not just rain, all water, thats why i was in the infirmiry, because Iris got into the pool so i wnet to the infirmiry." Tristan sighed. "i have hydrophobia. When i was a little kid out on a boat ride i fell in and all i can remeber is just sinking into the blackness, to this day i can't swim. I woke up on the beach with my family. Thats all i can remeber." He took a sip of tea. "Your right about the pizza, that would be too perfect."
Ted decided not to mention any more about water; phobias can be a tough thing to deal with. "Yeah, that would be one great pizza. We should write to," he looked at the lid of the pizza box, "Charlie's, and ask them if they could. I doubt they will though, it'd be kinda hard to pull off." Ted remembered to take his hat off and put it on the table. "So do you know anyone in the city? Or you here on your own?"
"On my own, my entire family live's in Ohio. I only came out here cause my parents are afraid of mutants." Tristan took a sip of tea. "My family has always been afraid of change, like everything was supposed to stay the same." He looked up at Ted. "I'm the first mutant in my family. So of course my mom had to hide it from everyone thats why i wear gloves and long colothes so i don't accedently bump my knee and level a apartment building or something."
Ted felt sorry for Tristan. His was worse, in a way, because it was through just touching, and could cause a lot more damage. "Well, at least yours can be averted by remembering to put on clothes in the morning. Shame about your parents though, mine just became over-protective until the police threatened to arrest them. I'm hoping I can go back and visit them someday, when I finally get the police off of my back. Until then, I'll just focus on getting my mutation under control."
"Yeah i have some control, you have absolutly none that must be hard." he looked down at the pizza, it was all gone except for a few peices of cheese that stuck to the paper on the paper and the grease stain. "Aw damn, isn;t that the worst thing to ever see." He took a sip of his tea. "Shame that good pizza always comes to an end."

Ted nodded. "Yeah, it really sucks. That's why I chose to live at the mansion. I was hoping that someone would be able to help me get some semblance of control." Ted reached for another slice of pizza, and realised that it was all gone. "Too true. All good things must come to an end, I suppose." Ted took another sip of tea. "Not unlike this tea." He took another sip. "So, what do you do in your free time? You just work on cars?"
"Well i read alot, and i do alot of drawing. Other then that i just stick around in here, i don't like it out there." He gestured to the door, "To many of them ya know." He stood up and grabbed the Tea kettle and poured some in both mugs. "Though i do like to go for a stroll at night."

Ted shrugged, "I'm not much of an artist myself. I do like a good read though. And the odd walk is probably good for you, I suppose. I tend not to go out walking much, I prefer to keep to my books, most of the time." Ted's eyebrows raised. "What do you mean 'them'?" Ted took a sip of his now re-filled tea. "You're not a fan of normal people are you? What have you got against them? Only a few of them are against mutants, really. The rest are just scared because people are always scared of what they don't understand. I spent quite a time studying mutants before I realised I was one, and all my friends thought mutants were cool. I think I may have broken that mindset, though."
Tristan sat down across from Ted, "You mean you haven't noticed. They make us stick out in society, force us to hide in mansions, or garages. They are the reason we have to hide that we have powers that we're the next stage in evolution. One day i'm positive that there gunna try and exterminate us."

(OOC: funny when it seems that the registration plot is just around the corner xD)
IC: "Humanity has always refused change. It's the way people are. That, and their first response to anything new is suspicion or even fear. They'll get used to it, mutants have rights just like everyone else. It's only a matter of time. And we're not hiding at the mansion. We're sticking together until people get used to the idea of there being mutants, or else they will be able to wipe us out." Ted couldn't beleive he was hearing this; extermination? That's just plain rediculous. "Besides, what are they going to do? Round us up in camps? Make us wear some sort of collar? You're just blowing it out of proportion, it's not going to happen."
((OOC: lmao Ted thats awesome i am so gunna pull a 'i told ya so'))
IC: "It can happen Ted, look at World War II, they said that they wouldn't do that to the Jewish community and look what happened. Humans are bent on genocide. They fear change and the fact that we are better then them." Tristan sat forward leaning against the table.

OOC: It was far too tempting, and it shows that Ted still sees good in everyone. He's going to have that delusion shattered
IC: Ted shook his head. "There will not be repeat of that. Humanity can learn from its mistakes, and the rest of the world wouldn't stand for it. It's just not going to happen." Ted decided that he didn't like the way this conversation was going, and decided to change it. "So you've had that car a long time then?" He motioned over at the car. "It looks fairly old, though you've been keeping it in good shape." Ted wandered over to it, "I don't know much about cars, but this one looks like it could pick up a good amount of speed if given enough road." Ted tapped on the bonnet, pretending to know what he was doing.
Tristan could feel the tension building in the room so accepted the subject change warmly. "Yeah this things older then the two of us and runs like new. Well it will once i get a new fuel injecter." He pulled of a tarp covering the engine revealing a brand new engine with the word HEMI wrien across the top. "Thats why it's my pride and joy."

Ted whistled appreciatively. He had no idea if it actually was a good engine, but it looked good and Tristan seemed pleased with it. Better to just accept it. "That looks... shiny." Ted scratched the back of his head with a grin. "Sorry, I don't know much about cars. What sort of speeds can you reach with it?" Ted couldn't even begin to guess, for all he knew it had all the power of a golf buggy. "Or have you decided not to drive it anymore? I've heard of people that just keep their cars in pristene condition, and don't drive them so that they can't be in any way damaged" Ted gave another grin as he scratched the back of his head again.
