The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The three of them danced for what seemed eternity as they were all enthralled with the situation and with each other. Syn spoke softly, "Well, I'm having a great time myself."
while dancing and watching Fiona and Raphael talk she caught part of Fiona's statement and responded as well. "What if I wanted to get to know the woman too?"

“You see a lot of stars on your ranch? You know the city the best you get is a few stars if that."
"Yeah, the stars are unbelievable. Looks like a baby got ahold of the glitter can. That's definately something I miss." Iris shifted her position on the rail so she could see both the antics on the dance floor and the front door.
"What do you raise there, horses?”
"Actually we don't really raise anything. It's more of a sanctuary, a place for rehab and release. Most people aren't willing to give an injured creature a second chance. So, we do. Although we do have a couple of horses." She tilted her head slightly as she smiled at Saturn. "Have you always lived in the city?"
Raphael interpreted the nod Fiona had for herself as being for him. Apparently he had answered the question correctly, as honesty did on occasion pay off. He felt her shift, preparing for the twirl, and moved his hands to compensate, almost like a trained dancer might do, and then nestled back to her hips as she moved back to position.
“I believe we all are having a delightful time…” Raphael said with a smile directed from over Fiona’s shoulder at Syn, “and possibly it is about time to take a break and allow others onto the floor?”
He had, as Fiona had twirled, taken notice of the considerable room on the dance floor they were being given, with only a handful of other mutants currently dancing as well, though they were by far drawing the most attention. likely due to the women Raphael thought. He stepped back from Fiona, half a step, just far enough to let her twirl to face him as indicated by his hand gliding to her’s and tugging slightly. He swooped into a deep elegant bow that did not befit his current dress, holding her hand as he did. “I thank you for the dance, both of you.” He smiled past Fiona at Syn, as he could not give her the same direct attention he was giving Fiona with his bow that was pretty obviously meant solely for her.
Fiona heard Syn speak, and looked at her closely. Something about the woman had unnerved her since the beginning of the night, especially when her powers didn't seem to make her go crazy like it had most people. Fiona nodded, and responded: "Anywhere you'd like to meet after this, I'd be completely game for. Honestly, you really do intrigue me. I'd like to know how you work."
Hearing Raph speak now, she was impressed when he bowed to her. Was this my power...? I had cut it already... she thought to herself, and couldn't help but smile brightly. She had begun to like this guy. He had been a gentleman through and through and she loved the way he conducted himself. Taking his cue to leave the dance floor, she took Syn by the hand and they let the other mutants resume.
Watching Raphael and Fiona do their little finishing move Syn just stood back and smiled. "I enjoyed dancing with you both as well. I agree that we should take a break and perhaps get something to drink and sit down."
Before she could say anything else Fiona commented her interests. She couldn't help but giggle a little when she thought of a sarcastic remark after Fiona asked how she works. "Well, I work like everyone else. I eat, breath and sleep." As Fiona grabbed Syn's hand and walked her off the dance floor the girl smiled and winked at the other mutants they passed.
Fiona laughed and poked her tongue out at the mutant woman. "Ah, I thought you lived off the evil that you burn down churches with. My mistake." she said with a grin and a wink and sat down. "Sparkling water, please." she asked the tender, and looked to Syn.
"Well, what I meant by that was, what's your music taste, what pleases you... What pisses you off? What do you judge a person by, what do you like in a person?"
Fiona wanted to get to know Syn on another level, and maybe get down to why she was so aloof when others weren't.
Raphael led the way to the bar, reclaiming his stool, which was thankfully still empty, while allowing the women behind him to converse with as much privacy as the club would allow. He perched atop the stool watching his companions talk and listening to them. “Mighty powerful ability there to be entirely normal,” He said sarcastically, and then waited for Syn to answer Fiona’s question, though he would like to have posed it to Fiona as well. He would wait though.
Syn laughed at Fiona's burning church comment. "Oh I'm not exactly normal by any means." She couldn't help but giggle. Syn knew Raphael was just playing though.
"Just ice water for me," she said as the tender looked to her.
Turning back to Fiona as she was asking more questions Syn listened. "Well, I really like all kinds of rock music from classic to heavy metal. Lots of things please me and other things piss me off." Syn stuck her tongue out at Fiona as a response to her gesture a few moments ago.
"I judge people in different ways but it mostly comes down to how they present themselves to me. as for what I like in a person; I like different things. I like if they have a good personality and if they can like me for me." She watched Fiona's facial expressions as well as Raphael's.
"Ok, so now you asnwer your own questions. You can do the same Raphael. Unless you want to know something else."
"Well... My music taste specializes in electronica. House, Trance, Progressive, DnB, Industrial, anything and everything electronic under the sun. As for things that please me, I'd say the main thing is great company in a great atmosphere. As for things that piss me off, I'd also say nagging."
Laughing, she continued.
"I judge people by intellect. If they seem to possess a sharp mind, then I have no issue oncesoever with them even if they grate against me in the wrong way. Mind you, if the person isn't so sharp but is pure of heart, then I also enjoy them. And to like in a person, I like wit and experience--although, I enjoy a sense of humor. Without that, the world is lost."
She turned to the counter top and sipped her water, closing her eyes for a moment. Opening them, she sat contentedly.
Raphael waved the tender away as he addressed him as ‘Deltoid’. “Nothing for me, thanks.”
He sometimes wished that the underground fight clubs and battle rings were more underground and not every bruiser of New York knew about them. He did not like the notoriety his fights brought him, and was glad that his companions seemed to not recognize him. He might have a found it a little bit more difficult to relax otherwise. Every time someone addressed him by his cage name he tensed up.
He listened to Syn as she listed her likes, dislikes, and tastes in music. He twisted his head to take in Fiona as she did the same. He leaned up against the bar, figuring it was his turn. “Music is not exactly my thing… I don’t have much preference for it, and actually prefer silence when working out. Mmm… I enjoy acrobatics, working out, ‘n the like. As far as people…” he shrugged some, “experience has led me to enjoy the company of those who are understanding and accepting.”
He watched Fiona and Syn, figuring the former to be just what he had described, given how she was asking essentially for acceptance on the dance floor for her power… Syn on the other hand, he was having difficulty coming to a decision.
Fiona and Raphael both spoke about themselves and Syn listened. All three fo them were very different as far as musical likes went. When talking about their likes regarding people they all had similarities. Mostly about acceptance.
"Well, I'm enjoying the current company." She smiled and raised her ice water at them then took a sip. She felt herself relaxing, but was it from the break from dancing or something else that she wasn't aware of previously? She felt more like herself again. Though she really did enjoy the company of Fiona and Raphael things just started to seem different somehow.
"Ok so I have a question." The girl looked at Fiona. "How do you charm people? I mean you are a very pretty lady so naturally people are going to notice you, but I'm assuming you are able to charm anyone?"
Then turning to Raphael she questioned him as well. "I know this is probably a bit forward but what is it you can do Raphael? Do you charm people too?" Syn smiled to make her question seem a little more on the playful side.
Raphael shrugged to the forward comment. “I don’t think it’s forward. I heal fast, it’s why I typically don’t bother drinking alcohol. My system balances it out, never been drunk because of it, and most alcohols I dislike the taste of. And I see the life-auras of people, when I want to.”
He purposefully neglected to mention his elbow blades, the bit of his mutation he currently did not like. He chose not to show them off hardly ever either. Truth be told, only Benny, his human family, and his former doctor even knew he had them, and Raphael thought they were too many. He leaned sideways and rested his elbow on the bar, and the side of his head on his palm. “What about you Miss Syn? How is it you keep people enraptured with you?”
He shifted his gaze to take in both the beautiful Fiona and the down-to-earth Syn, waiting for both their answers.

"Thats your sister? Um ... wow. Ok."
Iara laughed and finished off her drink when they returned to the lounge due to the change in music.
"So, how many siblings do you have?"
She took one of the decorative marbels out of a jar near the lounge and tossed it, aiming at the head of who she guessed was Uranus and hid behind Abyss.

"Yup, thats my youngest sister, I have another a year older than that one, but its been a long time since I've seen her. I wonder how shes doing these days. so its just those two and if I count the guys eight. yup eight."
Iara pressed close to Abyss and smiled. She whispered.
"My parents had five kids. I have 3 brothers: Davi, Thago, and Pele. My sister's name is Contessa."
She fought back laughter as she heard the other clones bicker.
Nail passed the paddle over to the lizard dude, who blinked in surprise.
"If you can find someone else to play, the games all your buddy."
He hated wasting money, but he really didn't wanna look bad in front of Nika. He would walk with her into the middle floor, look around slightely, not really sure what to do.
"Well, looks like it's your turn to find something to do... I'm outta ideas."
