The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Character's full name: Lerman Boiski Alias/ Nickname/ Code name: He likes to call himself Necky sometimes. Gender: Male Age: 17 Date of Birth: 02/04/1994 Nationality/ Ethnicity: Caucasian Birthplace/ Home/ Place of origin: Chicago
Appearance
Hair color and style: Blonde with big spots of brown. Stop asking if it's natural. It is. Eyes: Dark brown eyes with larger irises than most people are accustomed to. Height:5ft 4in Build: Scrawny as hell, except for his legs and neck. Visible mutation: Always has these horns. They get annoying when he tries to wear hats. And he likes hats. Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: Not really. No. Other features: N/A Everyday clothing style: He wears special made clothes with snap buttons going up and down the front and back. This is useful because, damn, clothes get expensive and when you keep breaking them you get pissed off and ask your mom to make you some clothes that won't break every time they would otherwise. People don't generally notice this. They are too busy staring at his strange horns, or other physical oddities. To keep them from wondering what those god damned furry protrusions, he wears a fedora when he can. Uniform: N/A Sleepwear: The clothes he wore that day. Miscellaneous clothing: Not really.
Character
Personality: Lerman is kind of a jumpy, skittish person. Very self conscious about his looks (especially the horns. Those furry damn things.). He tends not to stay around people very long and generally doesn't socialize with other people at all. He loves to eat greenery, and in fact when he's feeling peckish he tends to start eating the neighbor's shrubbery, but likes tree leaves better. Computers are not Lerman's friend, mostly because he on occasion he has trouble typing on them and inevitably ends up breaking them. If you ask him about his hair or his horns, generally he get's defensive and you might notice his tail about then. If you comment on that, you might notice his neck is growing longer. Usually by this time you're no longer talking to him. Lerman is also very connected with his mother, who supports Lerman in everything he does and tries her best to take care of him. Hobbies/ Interests: Lerman really enjoys learning about the African safari. He feels a special connection to their inhabitants. Job or part time job and description: He's 17 and occasionally a giraffe, ok? Not many places are interested in hiring him. Except the petting zoo and he refuses to take that job. Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Lerman is frequently concerned that he will suddenly be a giraffe. It's not something he particularly enjoys, what with all the staring and pointing at him. His worst favorite line is "Look mommy!!! That kid over there is a giraffe!". Special talents: He can whistle any tune you request really well.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Lerman believes in justice and knows that there is good in everyone, whether they choose to show it or not. He believes that the bad guys will get what they deserve and that good will always triumph. He read too many comics as a kid.
Mutations
Mutation description: Were-giraffe. There, it's been said. Sometimes he's a giraffe, sometimes he's not. When he gets angry he will develop some features of a giraffe, or he won't (although he's more likely to in that situation). On occasion he will turn into a full grown giraffe. The circumstances for this are unknown. Generally it happens at random, but sometimes the circumstances of his transformation are too convenient for it to be coincidence. Strengths: If you didn't know, giraffes are darn strong creatures. Lerman figures that with legs longer than a horses and with the momentum he could create from swinging his neck, he could easily kill a man. Plus he saw on a show once that they can. As a bonus, his diet and water retention are similar to that of a giraffe, so he frequently eats greenery (the type he will eat is slightly different than that of a real giraffe because of the general humanity of some of his bodily functions and whatnot.) but he also, like a giraffe, will not need to drink quite as often as a normal human. Weaknesses: When he doesn't become a full grown giraffe, usually the small changes make it really hard for Lerman to function. For example, if only his neck gets longer (which it has been known to do) Lerman will lose his balance and fall helplessly to the ground where he will wriggle about for a bit as passerby stare in confusion at this weird kid with a long neck. What is he doing down there what the hell?
Fighting Style
Explanation: Generally he kicks things and whaps stuff with his long-ass neck. Pros for fighting style: Mostly pretty powerful. His strength is worth reckoning with. Cons for fighting style: "Damn, that looks silly. What is he even doing, I mean, I could probably easily dodge those neck whaps."
Faction Allegiance
Unaffiliated / His mom
History Of Your Character
Lerman grew up in Chicago. He never remembered living there because at around a year or two old his family (him and his single mother) moved to New York. Lerman grew up isolated from the other kids. He never really understood why except they seemed frightened by the fuzzy horns on his head. In a way he had always known that he was different because of it, but at age 7 the intrusive random transformations started. His mother wasn't prepared for them, but soon accepted the idea of her son being a weregiraffe. Soon after his first full transformation at age 9 Miss Boiski made Lerman's first pair of snap on clothes. These were seen as a fashion statement to whoever was not in the know about Lerman's... condition. In high school Lerman was unpopular and shunned. So far that had been his whole life and he learned to stay away from others quickly.
Roleplay
Where did you learn about this site?: I was repeatedly encouraged by my good friend to join. His character is little explosive Kaitlyn. He mentioned that you kind people had been talking about a were-giraffe, and I was all: "I'm up for it." Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who: Nope.avi Sample RP:(I would like to start with saying that this will be my first real RP ever, so please tell me how I might improve on it.) Lerman sat in class. It was 2nd period biology, one of his favorite classes. Today they were talking about evolution. How ironic. Evolution class with the mutant. As Lerman turned the irony over and over in his head he felt that familiar whap of spitball hit the back of his neck. Roy again. He knew it. Roy was always making fun of Lerman's horns and teasing him about his tail whenever it decided to show itself. He hated Roy more than a 20 story building hated a hurricane or a tornado. Lerman steamed about Roy's ignorance of the diversity of the genetic pool. Next to him a classmate made some noise as Lerman's tail whapped him furiously in the back. Apparently that hurt. Apparently quite a bit. Lerman became more and more furious, but suddenly his thoughts were cut short by the teacher's statement: A human can not, according to what we knew about biology, naturally mutate another animal's features. Lerman's bio teacher stared at him for more than Lerman felt comfortable being stared at. "But it would seem that mother nature has made some EXCEPTIONS." Lerman was furious. In three seconds flat another spitball hit the weregiraffe's head, an enormous leg shot out and smashed the desk behind him, and Roy was knocked unconscious. Lerman was immediately sent to the office. "Oh god, not again."
