Delphi makes it to school and has adequatly supressed her emotions so that she looks as normal as she gets. She heads onto the busy campus prepared for the morning's four hour cadaver lab.

"Hey! Cass! Cassandra!" One of Delphi's lab partners, a boy named Trevor waves her over. Their cadaver's an elder lady- about as old as Delphi's mother. He smiles. "We're looking at the digestive system today!" He says brightly.

He has the lab printed out and clipped up. "Oh? Everything ok? No one dead, right?" Trevor doesn't actually know about Delphi's life situation- or that she's a mutant for that matter.

"If you say so." He says. "If you need.... I dunno. Someone to talk to." He laughs at his own lame attempt at comforting.... or possibly flirting. "Sooo... what, we're starting the insision.... at the breast bone? Is that right? That can't be right..."

"Traditional Y-incision then crack the breast bone and follow up by looking through the esophagous." Delphi says sounding a bit like a walking text book.

"I call the incision." He says, holding up the scalpel, grinning, before he goes in, cutting through the dead flesh and tissues

"Sure call the easy part." Delphi says rolling back the tissue and pinning it down. She then lifts up and starts the saw and carefully begings to make her way through the breast bone.

"Here- I think if we cut through these ribs the breast bone should just, like... pop out..." Trevor is looking over at the next table over.

"Yes but if you take a look that isn't how we are supposed to do it because it says here in the packett not to follow the directions in our text book because she wants to do something with the ribs later and we can't if we use the primary disection method." Delphi points out, lucky she made it through most of the packett last night.

"Oouh." Trevor looks at the bone saw in his hand, and puts it aside. "Ok, well then- " He helps with the removal of the breast bone. "Ok, so we pin the flaps back aaaand.... Ok."

"Ta-da, we have stomach and intestine, large small and decending or accending." Delphi says pulling out her disposalable camer which is the most effect way to take good notes in the class.
