The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Uhm.... I know we're supposed to be doing digestive system... but are people supposed to have.... three hearts?" Trevor points at the open chest cavity. Where there are, indeed, three visible hearts.
"Nope, three stomachs to cows but humans get a heart, singular. I'm going to go with a mutation. Don't say anything I'll go get Ms. Kestet." Delphi says quietly. As she gets up to track down the teacher.
"Actually Yes, I think we might need your assistance we've discovered a bit of an abornormality with our cadaver." Delphi says quietly, indicating her need for the teacher.
"Oh? Alright then, I'll take a look." She smiles. Ms. Kestet often gets students who simply haven't moved the diaphragm away properly, or other simple mistakes that lead students to think they have abnormality. She follows Delphi over to the cadaver. Luckily the other students don't seem to notice anythings wrong.
Since all cadavers are people who signed conscent forms while alive Delphi is relativly sure the woman probably didn't realize this about her self. After all if the hearts beat in perfect harmony they would be almost undectable unless a test was performed to specifically look at the heart, or hearts in this case. And information like this is sensitive. "As you can see our patient has-Trevor stop poking them." Delphi hisses at Trevor, they all got a long speech involving respect for the deceased.
Trevor stops immediately. "They, uh.... I mean, all three seem to be fully functional. Or, I mean, uh, they were. When she was alive." Trevor puts the scissors down.
"Yes well I'll be the judge of that . . . I don't think this is going to be an appropiate cadaver for your group. I am not sure if their is anything else and I will need to go over it. If you two will please cover her up and wheel her back to the 'ice-box'. We'll have a new cadaver for you next week but you'll need to come in later to catch up, sorry." Ms. Kestet says swiftly and decisivly.
"Is there any chance you'll need an assistant in exploring this interesting development? Because I would like to voulenteer for the position right now." Delphi inserts swiftly.
"I... I don't think she'll be staying on campus, but I'll make a note of it. You can stay and look on with other students if you like, but you're free to go if you like."
Trevor puts the cadaver more or less back together and covers her back up.
Delphi tells Trevor that she'll wheel the cadavar over the the 'ice box' and she heads off alone. Once they are in the there Delphi pauses. Thinking, "You know you're lucky. I bet you made it your entire life with out knowing you were a mutant. Not an espically grand mutation but it counts. I mean three hearts . . . didn't exactly save you from what ever it was that happened." Delphi says pausing, she grabs for the files on the patients. "139042 . . .13 . . .91,90. . . 139042, cause of death . . . circulatory faliure due to heart attack. Wow, well aren't you a puzzle. How did they establish heart faliure without even opening you up?" Delphi asks more than a little intrigued.
"Yeah sure, give me a minute I'll meet up with you in the cafeteria." Delphi says quickly writting down the patient number, cause of death, and date of death. She wants to look into this later. She then heads back out the room grabbing her stuff and heading out to meet up with Treavor in the cafeteria.
"Thanks Trevor. I guess I really do make a habit of eatting the same thing every day, the salad special." Delphi says, a little dissapointed to be so easily predicted, as she takes a seat.
Trevor finds a deserted table and sits down for eating. "It never ceases to amaze me how us med students can still eat after our labs. Or at least, it surprises my roommate, right?" He laughs a little. It is slightly obvious-- especially to Delphi-- that he has a little crush on her.
