The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aurica turned around to look at everyone. She let out a sigh, for the fact that she thought of an idea, but she had no idea if she could pull it off. She took a deep breath, let it out, and started to explain her idea.
"Okay, I think I have an idea of how to completely calm Iris. I have the ability to feel what other people are feeling. I know exactly what Iris is feeling, and on a side effect, I'm somehow seeing what she is seeing as well, which is why I can understand why she is feeling this way. But back to my idea. I was thinking of somehow channeling our emotion of calmness so that Iris can feel that too, so it will actually calm her down. Now I know everyone is somewhat calm, but for the most part, we're all still worried and some scared... such as myself. But the one who is completely calm here at the moment is Michael. So I was wondering if I could have you guys go to that little lookout tower thingy up there so that it's just Michael, Iris and myself. It's the fact that I can't completely control my empathy, so I'd be picking up every single emotion in the room, instead of just the two I really need to focus on. I mean if anyone has a better idea, I'll go for it, but I think my idea could work as well."
(OOC: K I'm cheating again as Ali doesn't have as much to say as Nika)
Ali listened to Raina and the other girl. She was right about others being more calm. Ali was still ready for a fight and so she decided to remove herself and go up into the observation area.
Aurica had a good plan from what it sounded like, but Nika wasn't leaving her friend. She noticed her roomie Nicki was also near Iris as well. Nika smiled at Nicki. It was nice to have her two friends close by.
Nika was felling much better now and had regained her energy. "I'm not leaving her. I'll be fine right here so you do what you need to and I'll help too." Nika leaned in closer to the frozen Iris as she tried to think of things that made her feel good. Images started floating in her head. Laying in her window in her room soaking up the warmth of the sun. Walking outside on a nice day and smelling the fresh flowers all around. Ali of these thoughts helped Nika feel calm as well and she started to purr softly. She hoped the sound of her purring was audible to Iris and maybe it would help calm her as well.
Michael nodded up at Ted, glad to see he was up and about again. It seemed that bashing him through walls had taken a lot out of him. When he heard Aurica’s suggestion he smiled, finally, they could finish this.
Coming and standing next to Aurica he put a hand on her shoulder and said, “You can do this, I believe in you.” Corny line, but he did. If he didn’t he wouldn’t be willing to give it a shot.
Ted returned Raina's hug with a sigh of relief. "I'm so glad you're alright, you should be in the infirmary, not in a fight. Sorry I couldn't stitch you up, but I presume you're ok now." He gave a childish grin at her, then looked down at the danger room. "What is going on down there? What happened to psycho-lady?"

Raina frowned. "Something's been done to her, her name is Iris.' Said Raina putting her hands on her hips watching below. "I got hurt when I didn't realise... she's hallcuinating, and her powers are running amock... we seem to have it mostly calm now though." she looked back at Ted. "Listen dog-boy... don't go getting all heoric on us now. I was healed by mutants with healing abilities... i'm feeling fine... but it takes a lot out of you when you.. er... transform.. so be careful."
Raina had never seen Ted in his wolf form... she wasnt sure she was ready to either.

Mettaliar had remained in the booth and decided to watch what was going on from up there. It wasn't that he was scared or anything. He just had felt like he wasn't needed at this time, plus he hoped that if he did go down that by the time he went down Iris would have returned to normal. He decided to continue to tap his fingers on the board. There was some sort of sound system allowing him to listen in on what the other people down in the danger room were saying, so it wasn't like he was completely in the dark.
Once Aurica had brought up her plan he nodded his head to himself. He had a feeling that it would work, though he was uncertain as it wasn't him that knew everything about the Haywire effect. He stood up straight and crossed his arms continuing to look down upon the others.
"Don't worry, there's a reason I came up here instead of down there. Until I can control my powers, I'm less than useless in a fight, as I've already proven." Ted gave a huge grin, almost overcome with relief that Raina was alright. He overheard Aurica's plan, and raised an eyebrow. "So she's going to use Micheal's calming presence to stop Pyscho... err I mean Iris... from breaking everything? Sounds like a long shot, but I can't think of anything else, so i say we should let he go for it." Ted gave Raina another grin; he was just happy that she was ok.

Shawn backed away from Iris as much as he could and moved into a corner where he crouched down. He heard what Aurica was saying and it seemed to make sense but he was hesitant to leave her and Michael alone with Iris, whom he thought was still unstable. "I don't like the idea;however," he said before anyone could say otherwise, "I don't have a better idea so I say we should go for it."

Nicki looked at Aurica, shaking her head. "No way. I am not leaving Iris! I can pick up her thoughts and I was able to get an idea to her and help calm her down. I'm not leaving her. Period" Nicki said, her voice strong. "I understand that we don't want to overwhelm her but I think sending away people who can help, is a mistake." Nicki explained simply.
"You two just don't get it! This not only about Iris but myself as well!"
Aurica was getting a little bit angry. She took into consideration that they wanted to help, and that was completely understandable. She could feel the strong relationship between them and Iris, but this wasn't just about her getting everyone out of the room, it was for her safety as well. Aurica calmed down a little bit and began explaining why she needed only Michael and Iris in the room.
"Look, I'm sorry for getting angry, but this isn't just about Iris. Both of you are being selfish right now by putting your own feelings into the matter and not thinking about the other possibilities. Yes, I'm an empath, I cal feel everyone's emotions, but that's also the downfall for me as well! If I have too many emotions in me, and I can't control it, I basically become a mindless puppet, attacking anything and everything that's around me, which would cause not only massive destruction, but Iris to go back into her original state and fight back as well! I don't even know how if I can freakin pull this off, but the reason I'm having Michael stay is because of the fact that he is invincible! He'll get cold and get knocked around, but it's not going to kill him! Both of you need to realize that in trying to help, you're most likely going to do more harm!"
Aurica quickly looked over towards the one girl who said she had picked up her thoughts. She just shook her head at her and gave her an expression like she didn't care if she picked up her thoughts.
"A telepath? Yeah, I've always wanted that power. Hell I would trade up my empathy for anything at any given time, but hearing someone's thoughts, and actually feeling someone's emotions along with a side effect of me seeing everything she does, are two completely different things!"

"You wanna talk about selfish? Lets look at you! You want to kick out the people helped calm her down and get her safe, so you can play the hero? Do you know how irresponsible it is for you to try and take control considering you can't control your powers? What if you hurt yourself? What if you hurt Iris? Are you even thinking about this or are you just shooting off at the mouth to?" Nicki raised her voice slightly, angry. She wasn't being selfish: she was trying to help this girl. It took an army to take down Iris and she thought she could "cure" Iris with no problems? It was like she hadn't been paying attention.
"You think I'M being selfish?! Lets take a look at you! I don't see you coming up with a single freakin idea except only staying here with Iris when you're not doing a damn thing! I may not have complete control of powers; hell, I'm even afraid of my powers, but I damn well am not going to sit here doing absolutely nothing while I'm feeling the full force of her emotions! You want to fight me?! Fine, I don't care! But now is not the time to even get into this kind of argument. So! Unless you can actually think of another idea instead of running your mouth off at me, putting words into my mouth that I'm trying to be a hero, how about you listen to someone other than yourself and actually trust them!"
Aurica was getting so frustrated that she was starting to get a little angry, and on that side effect, her telekinesis started showing. Her hair started floating upward as she was showing fire in her eyes. She did not want to start a fight, now did she really want to fight with Iris in this condition. But in that split second, Aurica had to calm down, as she didn't even know what would happen if Iris picked up that up. Aurica's telekinesis backed down, her hair back to normal. But, she kept in complete eye contact with the girl she was arguing with.

"Look, I'm not gonna stand here and play 'Who's more selfish'! In fact, I think it's ridiculous that you're standing here and asking me if I want to fight. We're on the same team, and did it eve occur to you that I said what I just said for your protection as much as anyone elses? It doesn't sound like you're invincible like Michael over there so you and Iris could get really hurt. Why don't we try to figure out an idea that isn't so suicidal instead of arguing with each other?" Nicki countered, folding her arms.
Aurica just turned her head, scoffing. If she could think of another idea, she would have done it by now. The only other thing she could think of is to let Iris get over her fear on her own, but that would mean putting her in isolation and not allowing anyone anywhere near that room until she's back to normal. But thinking on it, Aurica had no idea how long that would take. The only quick way Aurica can think of to solve this problem is to try her idea.
"Look, I didn't even want to get into this argument. My idea is probably the safest and fastest way to solve this problem of hers with minimal harm to everyone else. I've had multiple emotions in me at once, but for me to actually stay in complete control, I can only have two emotions for the moment. The only hard part about this for me is to act as the sort of 'medium' and link these two together, but only have Iris feel Michael's feelings."
Aurica turned her head back, looking at the girl, with an expression of complete concern. If you looked closely, you could see one little tear going down her face.
"You may be trying to protect me, but I'm not the one in the most danger here. Iris is. I'm doing this as a way to make sure everyone else will be okay."
