Everyday clothing style: Having been brought up in a wealthy, well-respected family, Jesse learned that it was good to dress accordingly. He always has new clothes, although lately he's been aiming for a more street look. Baggy jeans with holes in the knee, over-sized shirts, backward-baseball caps, those types of things. He also wears shorts and muscle shirts in the summer. He wears watches and silver chains.
Uniform: None
Sleepwear: A pair of boxers, sometimes simple PJ pants – usually when the weather is colder. He cannot stand sleeping with a shirt on however. That sums it all up, I suppose.

CharacterPersonality: Being a teenager in the midst of growing up and finding his place in life, as well as being a Mutant, Sawyer is considered as quite a rebellious boy. With a habit of getting in trouble and a knack for avoiding the authorities, he has managed to make quite a reputation among his friends back in Seattle. For a few years now, even before his powers manifested, Sawyer has been walking around with walls built up around him. He's hard to get to know, and doesn't trust people easily. He is a good liar and manipulator when he has to be. He has a good poker face.
Once you do get a hold of him and manage to earn his trust, you wouldn't be capable of finding a better ally. He is there for you as if you were his family. Although he doesn't show it often, he does care. Sometimes a little too much. He will go to the end of the world to avenge his fallen friends and loved ones, which can lead him in quite the trouble down the road. Up until now however, he hasn't been close to anyone to need to do any avenging.
Like his mother, and although he absolutely hates it, Jesse is a hopeless romantic. Sure, now he's the type of guy in school to like his fun with anything female, but they never picked his interest emotionally. He does want love though. That forever and always type of thing. He wants to get married, raise children and live happily ever after with the girl he believes will be his soul mate. Under that bad boy shell, there's a heart of gold; he is a very compassionate man.
Hobbies/ Interests: Mechanics, driving, running (Fast), fighting (street fighting, boxing), listening to music, pickpocketing, getting in trouble, partying, his friends, recently has gotten into literature.
Job or part time job and description: High School Student, his parents send him a hundred dollars every two weeks as an allowance however, plus he does pickpocketing now and then when he needs extra cash.
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Jesse is terrified of fire. When he was three years old, his house burnt down and he never recovered from it. He's absolutely terrified of hurting somebody one day, whether it's by his hands, or in a way because of him. He is also highly concerned for the people he loves when he isn't around, whether they have powers that can protect them or not.
Special talents: Football, basketball, track and field, shooting a gun, mechanics, computers, acting (Although he doesn't exactly realize it.), writing (He also doesn't know it.)
MoralityGood/ bad/ neutral/ other: Neutral. At this point, Sawyer could stray both ways. Depending on who he meets, and who has the opportunity to get his trust the fastest, he could go either way. Chances are it will take time for him to budge however, but in due time, once he finds his place, he will stick around and be a good asset.
MutationsMutation description: Sawyer has the ability most people call superhuman speed and agility. He can run at a very rapid pace, jump higher than the average human and keep his balance on narrow surfaces such as ledges or wires. He can run at a speed of 100 miles per hour, and would be able to carry on at that speed for a little over an hour without stopping. Afterward however, he would be very tired and require some rest to gather his strength.
Strengths: Sawyer always had a lot of stamina, although nothing inhuman. His entire life he was a fast runner, but only recently was he able to truly be fast. 100 miles per hour fast. For about an hour and a half he could keep on running at that speed, two hours if he was to keep it at approximately seventy miles. Due to his enhanced agility, Sawyer has good balance, whether he is standing on a two inch ledge twenty feet in the air or is required to jump from a brick wall. He always seems to land on his feet as a cat would. He can also keep steady while standing on something as narrow as an inch. Finally, Sawyer can preform flips, twists and jumps at such a rapid speed that it's hard to see him, not to mention fight him.
Weaknesses: Sawyer's biggest weakness would definitely be the fact that when he runs, his senses can't fallow him; unless he was to take it down a few notches and keep a steady speed of around thirty miles per hour, but that's unlikely - he likes his speed. He cannot see clearly what he is doing – everything is blurred – therefore will have to be careful. He will also not hear clearly, due to the fact that wind is always making it harder for him. Secondly, after running for a long period of time, Sawyer can get exhausted and it will take a few hours of rest – five to ten – before he's fully recovered.
Secondary mutation description: N/A
Strengths: N/A
Weaknesses: N/A
Fighting StyleExplanation: Sawyer is a skilled boxer, from having done the sport for many years, at first for recreational purposes, and then on his High School's boxing team once he started attending as a Freshman last Fall. He also took a year's worth of martial arts at the age of seven. He remembers a few moves, therefore does have somewhat of an advantage against someone who cannot fight. Finally, due to his ability, Sawyer is very quick, which is the best of advantages against any attack really...Apart maybe from the fact that he can't see or hear very well while running.
Pros for fighting style: He's quick and has great self-defense. He doesn<t hesitate when he fights.
Cons for fighting style: He cannot truly see what he is doing when he is fighting with his powers, at least not when he is running. He can stay on the spot and simply move his arms at a rapid pace.

History Of Your CharacterJesse Sawyer Shepherd was born in one of Seattle's best hospitals, Northwest Hospital and Medical Center. He was the third child born after two older brothers. For the first three years of his life, everything went by smoothly. The three boys got along perfectly. Sure, Jesse was six years younger than one of his brothers and seven years younger than the other, but that didn't bother him. In fact, they were probably closer because of the age gap – the boys were protective of him and loved to teach him new things – and in a way, he matured a lot quicker than the other kids his age.
In June of 1997, a little over a month after his third birthday, a fire was started by a gang of teenagers, burning down the Shepherd home. Jesse was trapped in the fire, along with his eldest brother, for a long period of time – or so he and his brother remember – before behind rescued by firefighters. Jesse suffered from a severe burn to his abdomen, but it wasn't anything extremely major. He would have a large scar for the rest of his life however, but it was nothing compared to just how scared of fire he now was.
Jesse was never the smartest of kids. Sure, he had good grades in school and loved to watch his father do his paperwork after coming home from a long day at the hospital. Medicine was always something that fascinated the youngest Shepherd, but not as much as it fascinated Presley, Jesse's eldest brother. As he continued to grow, knowing he would never be capable of becoming a doctor – he was too impatient to ever commit to all those years of schooling – he continued to search for what he was good at.
At the age of twelve, things started to go sour. With both his brothers finished with their High School, and already springing on ahead to college, knowing very well what they wanted to do with their life, Jesse was left behind. He wasn't smart enough to be a lawyer, a professor or a doctor. He was only good at sports, nothing truly great. He wanted to be known for something. And so, with the thought that he wouldn't be as good as his family in his head, he began roaming the streets and getting involved with people who weren't exactly the best of people.
He skipped school and got into fights. At the age of thirteen, he was hanging out with high school kids in their Sophomore or Junior year of High School. He went to their parties and, although his parents grounded him a lot, he often used the window to sneak out of his house at night. His grades had significantly dropped, and when he turned fourteen, a year or so before starting High School, his powers also manifested, which was the gust of wind that made the entire tower fall down.
They first manifested one night while he was on his own at home, working on a science paper in his bedroom. He'd been working at it for the past week, and honestly, Biology really wasn't his thing, especially not plants and bugs. That was when he started to feel a little queasy, as if he needed air all of a sudden. And so he got to his feet and walked over to the window, when all of a sudden his feet seemed to work of their own accord. At an inhuman speed he broke through his window and landed lightly on the balls of his feet one story below.
He'd known about Mutants. He'd seen the news on television. The Registration Act, the constant Anti-Mutant rallies and Mutant crimes. He'd seen Mutants on the street using their powers, and now? He was one. His father stitched him up when he arrived back home a few minutes later, and believed his son's story that he had tripped and fell through the window... He was a little curious about the fact that there had been no broken bones, but he didn't question anything. For the year that fallowed, things stayed at a down low. That was until Jesse entered High School in late 2009.
He was quickly hated by all of the teachers. He skipped class as much as he could and always seemed to come up with the best of excuses. Sure, he handed in his homework on time and it was always good enough for either a B or a C, but he was cold and bitter toward the authorities. He talked back at the Principal whenever he was sent there for a 'visit' and didn't even bother attending detention. He drank at parties and fought in the school cafeteria. He was the king of rebels, and every student seemed to like him.
He was also on the Football team, which gave him even more popularity, and a larger ego. His power helped him a lot with the sport that made him a star in school, as well as his other specialty: the track team. He ended up winning the title for his school. He was a brilliant athlete, and nobody ever suspected he was a Mutant -- he didn't use them to such an extent. One day however, in February of 2010, his parents found out about his powers after seeing him land the jump from his bedroom window on the second floor without a scratch on him. Sure, he'd suspected for a while that they'd known all along, but now it was confirmed.
The thing is, they weren't upset that their son was a Mutant. They tried their hardest to help him out, actually. In mid-May however he was expelled from his High School for fighting while using his powers. His friends turned on him. They wouldn't even look at him anymore – calling him a freak. They were terrified. His parents had heard of a school in New York City designed to help people like him with their gift, and so that's how, on this day, he finds himself standing with his parents at the gates of the Sister School.

Sample RP:For as long as Jesse could remember, he'd been the odd one out in his family. His eldest brother was in his first year of Residency in order to become a surgeon, whereas his second brother was in the midst of his studies to become a lawyer. They were both very intelligent men, taking from their father's side, who was a very well-known and respected neurosurgeon himself. Jesse was a black sheep. He wasn't intelligent like his father and brothers. He wasn't talented as a writer like his mother. He wasn't meant to stand in front of a group of college students and teach Literature like she did. He wouldn't write brilliant romance novels like her either. He was just a spoiled rich kid who spent his time getting into fights and all sorts of trouble, attending parties and dating girls.
He was also a Mutant, which was the reason why he stood there, accompanied by his parents. The gates of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters were tall, a little scary too. Honestly, the sixteen year-old Mutant wasn't one to be frightened easily, he'd spent a few years hanging out on the streets with some pretty shady people and knew very well there was nothing scary about this school. Sure, it was filled with freaks of nature, but they weren't going to kill him. He would probably get to them first anyway. Grinning a little, he glanced over at his father, and then over at his mother who was crying a little.
”You know,” he said with a smirk,
”If you send me here, I'll just cause more trouble. This is New York, and you guys will be all the way in Seattle. I can do whatever I want...” It was his last attempt at not going to this school, but his parents had heard it all before. ”You are going son. You need to learn how to control your ability, and you need to learn how to behave yourself, something a boarding school can help you with. Besides, this school seems quite safe for teenagers such as yourself... Now, hit the buzzer.” his father replied.
Sighing, Sawyer obeyed. He knew his father had his eye on him as his finger pressed on the button. He knew his mother was still crying - sobbing now - but he made no move of acknowledging that this was probably the last time they'd be alone together for a few months. He was angry at them for sending him here. Forcing him against his will. From the corner of his eye, he spotted his father shift his weight uncomfortably, he saw his mother's arm rise to wipe the tears from her blue eyes, her son's eyes. Why was she crying anyway? It wasn't as if he'd be gone forever. He was just going to a stupid freak school for freaks. Besides, they'd been the ones to insist. They had no right to feel sad.
