The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Saph tapped his foot with impatience... Jees, he had been out here for ten minutes. He looked back to the mansion on the other side of the gate, and then out to the limo again, leaning in to talk to the driver. "Eh.. It'll be just another second... thanks." He had already gone to tell Andrea the limo was here... She's told him that she was getting ready, and that she would be out in a minute.
He sighed, and leaned against the limo, got a bad look from the driver, and leaned away from it again, shoving his hands into his pockets. He was feeling a bit nervous, he admitted it to himself openly. He hadn't done anything like this in a loooong time. Not since... He zoned out for a minute, felt a tap on his shoulder, and let it bring him back to reality. Another one of those phantom taps. They were starting to make a little sense, but he really didn't have the time to think of it now. What he needed to think of was what he was gonna get today... He needed new clothes... Maybe a haircut... He'd looked in the mirror before he left, and damn... He needed some work.
He turned to look back at the mansion's front door down the path, wondering once more what was taking the little green girl so long.
Her room was a mess. A complete and total mess. The line that divided where she thought her side of the room ended, and her roommates began was quite visible now, seeing as nearly every article of clothing she owned was spread out to be examined, tried on, then examined again... and she still couldn't make up her mind. Chewing on her bottom lip, Andrea sat on her bed, cross legged and as scantily clad as she could get- which added up to a pair of bike shorts and a baggy t-shirt. What to wear, what to wear... Oh dear lord, was it always this hard to figure out what to wear on-... Her brain crashed before it could finish the rest of that sentence.
What was she thinking? This wasn't a date... Far from it and not even hardly. With a sigh, Andrea slipped from her bed again, and snatched a pair of cargo pants from her floor, as well as a dark t-shirt while on her way to the bathroom. She wasn't the type of girl who owned anything pretty to wear...well, aside from her red coat that is, so when it came to dressing up all snazzy like- she might as well have been blindfolded and shoved into a hamper full of her fathers weekend wear.
After a few moments spent in the bathroom, she emerged with her hair brushed and parted into twin braids, and her teeth newly brushed and tasting minty. She snatched up her wallet and her purse on the way out of the room, reminding herself that she would have to clean up once she got home- least her mess devour her roommate, and made her way down and out of the mansion. From the porch, she could see Saphirus and the limo up ahead of her and froze on the mansion steps. Was this really a good idea? Her lip chewing became more agitated, tearing skin from the corners of her lips.
She fidgeted, glancing back at the closed doors behind her and then finally turned and continued down. It took only a few moments for her to reach Saph's side- she shot him a sheepish grin and shrugged her coat on quickly. Once the article of clothing was in place, she swooped in on her tippy toes and as customary for her- and totally not in any way shape or form romantic- she pecked the older male on the cheek in greeting. "Hello Saphirus, Sorry it took me so long, I...um... got snagged by my roommate..." A totally valid lie. Fool proof- unless Verdy stepped out of the bushes behind her and called the Greek on it. A very unlikely scenario, thankfully.
Saph's eyes widened as he felt the light brush of her lips against his cheek. Woah. Where did that come from? He opened the limo's door for her, and climbed in after.
He stared at the green girl for a second before catching himself, and looking away. Gee, he really didn't know how to react to the cheek kiss... Was she into him? Wait a sec, how old was she? He realized that hed never asked her, and she did seem rather... youthful. Naive. Yeah, she was pretty freakin clueless. Not in a bad way, though. It kinda suited her. He enjoyed it in his own way.
That aside, even if she was interested, he couldn't return the feeling if she was, you know, a minor. He eyes her a little bit, and decided that he would just have to find out. "So... eh." He paused... He couldn't just ask her... women hated that, right? "So, you came from Greece, huh? How long didja live there?" He knew she hadn't been here very long, so he could just take how long she lived in Greece and do the math from there, right? Easy as taking candy from a baby.
The limo was rather... big, she noted. There was a lot of space between herself and Saph. A good thing. She blinked back at him, wondering why he kept glancing at her, before dropping her eyes to her clothing. Had she worn the wrong thing...? Perhaps he thought her a slob... She didn't have the time to frown, as he cleared the silence by asking her how long she had lived in Greece.
Blinking again, she lapsed into a short silence as she considered how to best answer that question. She had been there forever- until recently of course, so... "All my life, since I was a babe." A tilt of her head ended her answer, and she fired back one of her own. "How long have you lived here?"
Crap, She didn't say how many years! Of course it couldn't be that easy... He blinked as she asked him how long he had been here. Hadn't they gone over this at that ballgame? Then again, that had been a while ago now. "Eh, all my life. Never left new York, remember?"
He looked around for a minute, and tried another tactic. "So, comin over here like you did, musta been hard on your scoolin... you, eh... you finish high school?" Cause most people finished high school around 18, right? If she said yes, she was legal; And legal was good. He started to wonder why he was going through all the trouble with these thoughts. It was just a kiss on the cheek, right? Maybe. Maybe it was more; maybe it could be more. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't. Wow, he was getting way ahead of himself, he cut the thought process short quick, and took to looking out the window.
Oh, yes. Silly her. She grinned sheepishly and bounced her head in a nod. "Sorry... I forgot." She also turned her head to look out the window, watching as people on the sidewalks barely batted an eye at them. Limo's were apperantly a common commodity here. Not something spectacular or the New York native's eyes. Saph asked her something else, and she drew herself away from the window. "Hmm?" Oh, something about high school. "Oh, no." She paused, her eyes drifting up to an assortment of buttons on the ceiling above her. She swung her legs over the side of the seat absently, and poked at a button that opened an closed the sun roof.
"I was home schooled, so I finished my classes before most people my age were into their third year of high school." The sun roof sliding open caught her off guard, and she pressed the button again quickly to close it. After it was safely shut, she dropped her hand and directed a questioning glance at Saphirus. "What about you?"

"Don't worry about it..." He said after she apologized, smiling a little bit to her. She answered his question, he blinked a few times.
Great, all that told him was that she was over 16.... Not very helpful to know... He had to try something else... He scratched the back of his head in thought for a moment, and then got an idea. This idea was killed without putting up a fight when she asked him about his schooling. Holycrap holycrap saysomething "Er, well... School wasn't so great for me." That didn't go well, change the subject! What to? Oh yeah! "Anyways, how bout we get to know each other a little? Eh, When's your birthday?" Yeah, that would work! They were kinda on a date, so it made sense to try and find out stuff like that, right?
He wouldn't know, when ever he found himself in a relationship it usually just... happened. He'd never had to get to know anyone like this before... Hell, he didn't even know if he liked her or not... She was nice, yeah, but she was also just so... innocent.
The conversation shifted from his hesitation on the subject of schooling, to her birthday. She paused. What had that bit about getting to know each other better been? She squinted a little, behind her glasses, and pursed her lips. Saph had been asking a lot of questions... and it seemed that they were all centered around her age for some reason. Unless he really wanted to know about high school, and her life in Greece. A small smirk found its way onto her lips and she turned her eyes back out the window. Maybe... she would draw it out a little longer; see how long it would take him to just come out and ask what he wanted her to say.
"November thirtieth..." She replied, making sure her face was rid of the smirk before she turned it back to him. "My Name day is on November thirtieth." After a few moments of eyeballing the older male, she sighed and relaxed back into her seat. "I didn't celebrate my birthday much back home- My father tried a few times but my mother would not have it." She wondered how old Saph himself was, seeing as he had never spoken of his own birthday. He looked older, and acted a little older (but not all that mature)... so she had simply assumed he was older than her..
"Name d... W..Okay, now you're just f#$$@n with me..." He paused in mid sentence. Realizing that she probably wouldn't appreciate the whole cussing thing. "Eh... M... My bad, So... Eh... What's a name day, then?" He was starting the get the feeling that she was yankin his chain, but he would play along, because she didn't seem like the mischievous type.
He looked out the window... jees, the area was beginning to look pretty... high end. Had he ever been to a place that had so many rich looking people walking around? Maybe once or twice. He decided he was done beating around the bush; that kinda stuff was for the birds. "Also, How old are you?" He folded his arms, and looked at the green woman as the limo slowly started to come to a stop. He wasn't gonna let her leave this stretch without knowing how many years she had been on this god forsaken planet.
Eyes widening just a little, Andrea tapped her fingers on the leather seat she occupied and tried her best to ignore his poor choice of wording. He apologized...in a way, and her fingers stilled. Raising her eyebrows, she swiveled to face him in her seat.
"A name day is a lot like a birthday, save you are not celebrating the day you were born on. Instead you are celebrating the day in which you were named after a saint. I am named after Saint Andreas."
With a smile, she glanced through the little window into the front of the car, blinking at the driver in the rear view mirror. Then, Saph asked what he had probably been fishing for the whole time... she still didn't know exactly why he wanted to know though. She waited for the vehicle to stop, craning her neck to look around her older companion out at the street, and calmly replied.
"What?...oh, that. Is that all you wanted to know? I'm twenty two." It was hard, but not impossible to keep the grin she felt building inside off of her lips. The driver had stepped out, and opened the door. Andrea scooted out quickly and hopped past the driver, thanking him with a wave and a curt smile before she turned to glance about excitedly... Her stomach flipped like a dog expecting a treat, and growled in an expectant fashion. "What was the restaurant called again?"
"You're named after a saint, huh? You're pretty religious, then, aren't you?" He looked around a little more as the car finally came to a full stop, and the driver got out to open the door for them. "You, eh, you don't mind that I ain't all spiritual, do you?"
He blinked a few times as she revealed her age, and then noticeably held back a smile. Maybe she was a little bit more mischievous than he'd thought. "22, huh?" He waited for her to ask him the same question back like she had every other time, but she didn't. With a shrug, he got out of the limo, nodding to the driver, and looking over to Andrea as she asked the name of the restaurant. "Oh, Yeah" he patted down his pockets looking for the certificates he had won. He knew it would have the name on it anyways. "Jean... Georges... Huh, never been there before... S'right there, though, so I guess we'll find out what it's like soon..." He smiled back to her, and then began walking toward the high-end looking restaurant.
"gees, this place looks classy as hell... I hope you're hungry... Actually, I really do, you're beginning to look like you haven't eaten in years."
>>"You're names after a saint, huh? You're pretty religious, then, aren't you?"-"You, eh, you don't mind that I ain't all spiritual, do you?"
Raising an eyebrow, Andrea blinked at him. “No... Why would I mind?” Tilting her head, she blinked some more and a puzzled expression flitted across her features. Then, realization set in and she chuckled. He was worried she was like her father then... very strict in his religious beliefs; so much so that he refused to interact with people who didn't share similar values. She shook her head. “It is not my place to pass judgment on others.” She smiled, hoping she had explained herself enough. He commented on her age again, and she ignored it. Instead, she turned to watch where he directed them, and blinked at the building he pointed out. “....Oh... I have never been to an upper class restaurant before. A wave of hesitation washed over her and she asked quietly, “Do to think they will have a problem with me?” A moment after the words left her mouth, she regretted them.
“Uh... Never mind. Ignore that.” Onto the next thing... She needed to change the subject. Thankfully, something that Saph had said sprang to mind again, and she jumped on it quickly. Bringing up unhappy things at a time when you were supposed to be happy was bad mojo.
He had mentioned her skinniness... Andrea pressed a palm over her stomach and pursed her lips. Yes... she was thin. Unhappily so, but- there didn’t really seem to be much she could do about it. No matter how much she ate, or how often- she only seemed to be wasting away. “Oh... It kind of feels like I haven’t eaten in a few years, actually... but don’t worry about me.” While waving a hand as if to shush away his question, she paused and blinked, and then grinned shallowly.
“In fact, I am so hungry right now I bet that I could out eat you.” With a nod to herself, she turned and walked past him towards Jean Georges. It did look fancy, dainty even. Inwardly, she hoped that it wasn’t one of those places that served teeny tiny little portions... Her nose wrinkled again, just at the thought. She hated having to nibble on things...

They made it to the door, and Saph opened it for her, blinking as she mentioned never going to a high class restaurant... The only problem he could see them having with her was if she had atrocious table manners. He knew this area was pretty mutant friendly, and she looked and acted rather dainty... Nah, there was no way she was a sloppy eater, she wasn't the type. "Nah, I wouldn't worry about it."
He walked in behind her, and looked to the greeter, who was already prepared to pen them down. "Two, please, Under Andrea. We are the ones two caught the anniversary ball at the Yankees game." The woman nodded, and informed them that it would be about five minutes. "You think you can out eat me, huh? How bout we make a bet out of it, eh? If i win, you gotta give me a kiss." He grinned a little, wondering how this innocent little woman in front of him would react to that.
A small smirk pushed at her lips, but she fought it back. A kiss huh? That's what he wanted...? "Sure. If you win, I'll give you a kiss." He hadn't mentioned where- so, she felt safe with that. But then again, he wasn't going to win... If there was one thing in the world that she could be confident in, it was that. "... and if i win, you have to take me to the beach!" A grin of her own over took her lips and she turned to glance around the restaurant... It was traditional and seemed to be a rather relaxed place... Not the same as the one she had gone to with Brian though. "if i may ask... Why do you want a kiss, Saphirus?"
A rather odd question in her mind, but, if he was comfortable enough to ask, she could certainly be comfortable enough to inquire about it. All of the talks she had been subjected to by her parents came flooding back... the "Never trust boys, they only have one thing on their minds" talk along with a few about relations outside of marriage being a thing of sin... Her eyes couldn't help but land on him again and she found her self squinting slightly while she thought on the matter.
The minutes passed rather quickly, or perhaps they had found a suitable table faster than expected- but before Andrea knew it the woman was back with two menus in hand. "If you will follow me please." she said with a smile, before turning to lead them off to their table.

"The beach, huh? Sure, why not?" He knew he was gonna get that kiss.. He could pack it away with the best of them. He grinned a little put, but paused when she asked why he wanted a kiss... Wow, was she really that naive? "Eh... Well, that's what people sometime do on dates."
He grinned a little as the hostess came to seat them, and followed quickly, arriving at their nice little window seat. He looked about as he took his seat, offering Andrea to sit first as was custom... He knew a good deal about high-class dining, one of his adopted families had been rather wealthy, and proud. He'd had it whipped into him when he was only 9 years old... He wasn't at that family long, though... He'd blown up their pet poodle. Accidentally, of course.
