The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Streak had won. He knew the game was over as soon as he'd leaned in for the kiss. He'd won as soon as the kiss was initiated between them. There was no more messing with each other's heads or finding the right button to push to get the other to do what you wanted. Now it was all about the perfect timing. Lily pulled him closer and wasn't going to let him go. He knew that and he was prepared for it.
The thought just occurred to him that no one at the mansion knew about their relationship, and only certain X-Men knew what was going on. The thought didn't bother Streak however, because he figured that the students would draw their own conclusions and start their own rumors if they didn't seem them right now. Thankfully, most weren't out at this time and it didn't matter if they were or not. He had no ida why she'd kept him away, especially since she didn't seem like she wanted him to leave right now; and right now he didn't want to leave either. Streak only held her close. It would Lily's turn to make the move. She would be the one to decide what they were going to do next. All he did was kiss her and hold her as close to him as possible.
I should have done this sooner. Lily was lost in the kiss, and all the feelings it created in her; she was only vaguely aware that they were still standing in the hallway. She could feel Shawn's silver under his skin react to her powers as she tugged him closer, trying to remember what she was supposed to do next. She only remembered when her back hit a cold surface. Open the door. Right. Preferably before some student sees us making out in the hall. She pulled away from the kiss, looking into his silver eyes for a moment. She could feel her cheeks were warm, and she wondered if she was supposed to say something. Ask him if... Probably not. Whatever was going on was right the way it was, and there was no reason to pretend they didn't both know it. So she just smiled, fished the keys out of her purse, opened the door, and pulled him inside by the hand. The door closed on the rest of the world.

Streak continued the kiss until Lily broke away from it. He didn't want her to but apparently she had thought of the same thing that he had. Get out of the hall. Streak waited for Lily to open the door and say something. However, it seemed that she didn't think there was anything that they needed to talk about. Or anything that needed to be said between the two of them.
As Lily opened the door he looked around to see if there was anyone that might be wandering around at this time. The bad thing about being at a mutant school was that kids and adults had weird sleeping schedules. There was no one around. Streak's attention was drawn back to her when she led him in side and closed the door behind them. Well I guess it's a good thing that her room mate isn't here right now. Streak thought to himself. everything else was pushed out of his mind and he was solely focused on her.
It was late in the morning by the time Lily stirred and opened her eyes. Oh. She smiled to herself. So this is what he's got to do with my morning. She snuggled closer to Shawn, resting her head on his chest; she listened to the steady heartbeat, and closed her eyes again. Peaceful. Very peaceful. All the solitude and pain and all the worries of the past months, they were gone. She was herself again, and much more; things had changed, this time, for the better. She smiled to herself as she felt the silver under his skin; it was a much more powerful feeling now. Much closer too. It was something that made Shawn special. She doubted any guy could make her feel the way he did. That last thought made her blush. She ran her fingers across his chest lightly, content just to lie in bed and not planning on getting up just yet; her powers tugged on his silver on their own, before she realized it might be tickling him. Or might not. Anyway, he was right. This morning definitely turned out better than last time...

Shawn was still sleeping when he felt Lily stir and move closer to him. He was still in that semi-sleep state where he was aware of what was going on but was still sleeping. He sleepily let his arm fall around her and exhaled keeping his eyes closed. Now he would have kept his eyes closed for a little while longer, however, it seemed that Lily was awake.
Streak opened his eyes and looked down at Lily with her head on his chest. Now he couldn't help himself. At one point it felt nice to have her hand on his chest; now it was just tickling. Streak started to laugh again. "Hey come on that tickles." He said placing his hand on hers and smiling at her. Streak gave a her hand a playful squeeze and continued to smile.
Lily chuckled and looked up at him, still sleepy. "I'm sorry." she muttered sheepishly "I guess you'll have to get used to it." She was really tempted, now that he was awake anyway, to keep playing though. He was holding her hand in place, but that didn't mean she couldn't tickle him wherever her skin touched his. She had never thought about using her powers for things like this before. She found it amusing. "Good morning, by the way." she smiled, kissing him on the cheek "So, does this make up for all the dancing you had to suffer through?"

"Well, I'll try, but I'm not so sure I can get used to it." Streak said smiling. He found it amusing also, because she was the first one that could affect him in basically any way possible. He knew that the fact that she wasn't tickling him was strictly a decision made by her and nothing he said would stop her if she really wanted to keep tickling him. "Good morning." He said returning the kiss to her cheek. Streak looked down at her when she asked her question.
"Well, I don't know... There was a lot of dancing." He teased her. "Eventually I liked the dancing. But this is a much better ending than I thought." Streak said. Ya right. Like he hadn't planned it. Streak knew how the night was going to end even before he picked Lily up for dinner. But that was mainly because he didn't want her to go back to the way she was acting before he'd taken her out for the night. Streak was afraid that after the date Lily would go back to being alone if he didn't do something. To put it mildly, Streak was taking one for the team.
"Yeah, like you didn't have everything planned" Lily grinned at him, resting her chin on his chest. "Admit it." She was feeling happy, just like that. The whole situation, all the feelings, were new to her, but Shawn, him she knew, and trusted. And probably more. "I am not complaining though" she muttered, moving to lie on top of him, comfortably snuggling close "I missed you." She did. And if she had any say in what was to come after this, she would make sure he doesn't ever stay away for this long again.

"Ok, ok so I did plan this out. So what? You don't seem to upset." Streak admitted. Her whole mood had changed; almost overnight actually. He didn't have to look down at her for to long as she climbed on top of him. Streak let go of her hand and wrapped both hands around her.
"I missed you too." Streak replied, only reiterating what he'd told her the night before at dinner. He was glad that she'd admitted that she'd missed him. It wasn't something that he was used to hearing from a girl but it was nice to finally hear. Shawn wasn't even really sure that she realized that she missed him until just now, but either way it was something he was glad to hear come from her mouth. Streak kissed her head and ran his hands up and down her back. "Ok so I had the night planned but I didn't exactly have a plan for the next day." Streak said a little unsure of what she had planned or wanted to do.
"Ok, ok so I did plan this out. So what? You don't seem to upset." Shawn admitted the plan, Lily admitted she bought it. "I am not upset." she smiled, nuzzling his neck gently. "Ok so I had the night planned but I didn't exactly have a plan for the next day." She chuckled, content with just lying on top of him for the moment. She knew they'd have to get out of bed eventually. Eventually being the keyword in the thought. "That's good, I don't have a plan either" she murmured, drifting back into half-sleep "And since I am new to all this, I dunno what I'm s'posed to plan either..."

“I didin’t figure you would be.” Streak replied to her. “Well, at least we don’t have a mission that we both need to run off to this time.” Streak said. At this point it was basically time to just roll with whatever came next. “Unfortunately there’s no room service here. So that’s the down side to the mansion.” He said smiling at her. “To me it doesn’t really matter. Whatever you want to do is fine with me.” Streak told her. Fortunately there was much for him to do today so he didn’t need to run off and coop himself up inside his office or anything. Jewel seemed to be more like herself than she had in the past few weeks. And Shawn was really glad to see her like this, instead of being depressed. The young man stopped talking because he didn't know what to say. As a result, he just ran his finger through her hair and smiled at her.
"Of course there is room service." Lily muttered against his skin with a smirk "You can go and get me breakfast." That being the most comfortable option. For her, at least. She didn't move off him though; she was just teasing him, not ready yet to give up the warmth and the comfort and the feeling of his skin on hers. And the silver. There was always the silver. Lily hummed as she listened to his hearbeat, drifting off to sleep again. "... or you can stay. I don't mind if you stay." she murmured. She really didn't.

"Wooow!" Streak said. He hadn't expected her to say that. Shawn would have gotten her breakfast; but she didn't move so he didn't really try to get up either. "I gotta be honest... I did not see that coming." Thankfully Streak didn't have to get up and he wasn't trying to get away anytime soon. "I think I'll stay.' He said quietly. Unless Lily made him leave then he was going to stay. As Lily drifted off to sleep again, he too closed his eyes and drifted back off to sleep. Man late night dancing can really wear people out.
