The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Streak smiled at her. he was glad that she was trying to make him feel better about his blunder. Streak was trying his best to dig himself out of the hole that he’d created. They were both silent for a bit as they continued eating their dinner, that is until Lily spoke again. He listened to what she had to say and nodded in agreement. “It’s always good to be reminded every once in a while what we’re fighting for. I know that because we live in the mansion we can sometimes forget what we originally joined to do.” Streak could tell that she was genuinely having a good time and she didn’t want him to worry about the subject of conversation anymore.
Shawn looked at Lily and sipped his wine. “So…” Streak took a deep breath, “I missed you. How come you wouldn’t let me come and see you? Ya know how hard it was for me to stay away? Especially after what you went through at the camps; and you wouldn’t even talk to me about it. That practically killed me.” He’d never told someone that before and it was interesting that he’d told her so readily and freely. Then again, their whole relationship was basically something different from anything he’d had in the past. Shawn didn’t know if she felt the same way or if she even considered seeing him during her weeks of solitude but he’d seen a limb on that tree of vulnerability and trust, and jumped for it. The only thing he could hope for would be that the limb caught him and didn’t break.
Lily blushed deep red at his words. He was saying a lot of things, and admitting even more. And the most curious thing, she didn't feel awkward or ashamed about being confronted like that. She could tell he meant every word, from his voice and the way he looked at her. "I... don't really have an excuse." she said finally, looking down at her hands "I have never been through anything like this, and... I just figured, if anyone else can deal with it... I don't want to be weak." She shook her head, and sighed. "That, and other things." she glanced at him "Sorry. I don't want to ruin the date." she smiled a bit "I am sorry, for making you worry about me."

“I understand.” Was all Streak could say. He knew exactly what she was going through and went through and even what she was thinking right now. He then signaled for the check and paid the waiter. Once the check had been paid he took her hands in his, stood up and walked around to her side. “Let’s go. We ain’t done yet.” Streak had plenty of plans for the night and he wasn’t going to let her think that she’d ruined it by something she’d done.
Streak continued to hold her hand as he led her out the doors and waited for his car. When both of them had stopped moving he held her in a close hug and started kissing her cheek very lightly. “I’m just asking one thing from you. Don’t ever do that again, OK?” he said and continued to kiss her on the cheek.
“Let’s go. We ain’t done yet.” Lily followed him outside, letting him hold her hand. Once they started talking about things that went unsaid for so long, suddenly te idea of talking didn't seem so horrible at all. She found herself smiling as she wondered what else he had planned. When Shawn pulled her into a hug, Lily sighed and buried her face in his neck. It was a warm, deeply comforting feeling to be held by him; he could feel the silver hum under his skin, and his breath on her cheek as he kissed her. “I’m just asking one thing from you. Don’t ever do that again, OK?” "I promise." she whispered, enjoying the warmth for a moment longer before she looked up, a smile playing on her lips "So, what's next?"

“Well, there’re actually a couple of options we have…” Streak said as he stopped kissing her. “We can go see whatever movie or Broadway show you want. Or we can go to a club. The choice is yours.” He was actually letting this part of the date be her decision instead of making it for them both. Whether Lily knew it or not, Streak had a feeling that they were going to end up at a club. However, this club was going to be different. He wasn’t going to get his car stolen this time.
Finally Shawn’s car pulled up and the valet got out. Streak opened the door for Lily and waited until she got in before he climbed in behind the wheel. Once in he made sure that everything was in its correct place, valet’s love to rearrange everything in you car for some reason, and then waited for her choice.
Lily got in the car, and put one finger to her lips, thinking about their options. She couldn't really think of any movies or shows she wanted to see 8and haven't seen already); besides, talking and enjoying each others company sounded better right now. "Club sounds good" she said finally "If you know any good place besides Evolution." She didn't really have anything against Evolution; but somehow she remembered it to be more crowded than she preferred. And lots of mutants always meant something happening... "Let's not take a walk in the park tonight, okay?" she chuckled, kissing him on the cheek "I would prefer a date when neither of us has to save the other, for a change."

“The club it is.” Streak said. After she kissed him he smiled and started to drive away from the restaurant. He had a particular place in mind, and Streak had a good feeling that it probably wouldn’t be packed with people at this time. He chuckled. “You have no idea how badly I’d like that. Ya know, as much as I play it off it’s not really that much fun getting shot.” He said jokingly. “I’ve got a place in mind that’s hopefully the perfect spot. And not full of mutants.”
They continued to drive on until they entered a much busier part of the town, if that was possible. It is New York after all. “It’s called the Lotus, like the flower, or the casino in Vegas.” Streak said to pass the time. He didn’t really know what they would talk about since he was still trying to avoid talking about Romania. At one of the red lights Streak, as quietly as he could, covered that hand in silver and took her hand in his. There was no real reason behind it but he was thinking that it would be more fun than driving around in silence.
Lotus. Lily had heard the name before, but she was not sure if it was the place in New York, or somewhere else. The way Shawn explained it, it sounded like a good place to visit. At least once. They were silent for a while, Shawn driving and Lily watching the lights and forms of New York City life. She neved particularly liked big cities, and New York was definitely larger than life. She preferred New Orleans any time. But she couldn't deny it was a place to be when one was looking for way to spend her free time. Or go on a date. Lily snapped back to reality when Shawn's hand touched hers. He was playing on the effect his silver had on her senses. He was good at that. Lily's hand movd, running her fingers along the back of his hand, pulling on the silver with her powers slightly, before tracing the inside of his wrist, and his palm. She didn't look at him, but she had a smile playing on her lips all the same.

Streak couldn’t have asked for a better night to take her out on a date. Streak knew that she liked it when he played with his silver like that. That was the whole point of his move. It was to keep her attention and play with her a bit. Lily took sudden interest in his hand and started to pull slightly. Ever since that night in Romania he when she’d tickled him for the first time he figured she would always do it to him. the same way that he was playing with her by touching his silver to her skin she would play with him by lightly pulling on his silver.
That was the plan and it was working perfectly. Streak moved his hand around a bit as he felt the pull on his silver. He didn’t move it enough to make her stop but it was enough to let her know that it was tickling him. And as if that wasn’t enough, a few little chuckles were heard slipping from his mouth as she continued to play with his silver all around his wrist and palm. He looked over at her and saw the smile on her lips as she continued to play with his hand. Oddly enough he thought of a kitten playing with a ball of yarn. It was something that the kitten enjoyed doing and did it with very little destruction to the yarn ball. Eventually Streak pulled his hand away and ran the cool silver across her cheek, jaw line, and through her hair, shortly before placing his hand back to down so that she could continue to play with it some more.
It was all very distracting. Not only because of the silver, and the effects it had on both of them, but also because, well, it was Shawn, and she had missed being close to him for so long. Not to mention she never did anything like these games with anyone before. Lily sighed as his fingers touched her cheek and neck, and then she chuckled, taking his hand in hers for a moment before she lifted it and put it back onto the steering wheel. "Eyes on the road, cowboy." she grinned, pulling on his silver one last time before she pulled her hand away. This whole thing, her and him, it was definitely going somewhere. She hadn't quite figured out where, yet, but she enjoyed it. She couldn't wait to see the club he picked.

Streak was enjoying this. Aside from it feeling nice, it was also amusing. He could also tell that she was having fun with it. Since Streak had never met anyone like her before he also hadn’t done things like this before. Sure he’d taken girls on dates before but none had literally affected him so well or so greatly. He teased Lily as she placed his hand back on the steering wheel. “Awwww your no fun.” Streak said, lowering his head a little and pretended to pout like a little kid. Lily, it seemed was also teasing him back as she gave one last pull on his silver before letting go and allowing him to retract the silver from on top of his skin. A couple of red lights later and Streak was pulling the car into a parking lot across from the club that he’d chosen. “Well, we’re here. Let’s go see what’s going on shall we?” He said, more rhetorically than anything, as he got out of the car and walked over to her side.
“Well, we’re here. Let’s go see what’s going on shall we?” Lily smiled as she got out of the car, looking towards the club curiously. "Looks like an interesting place." she commented. Of course, it was still Valentine's Day, which meant there were many people out and about with their sweethearts, partners, significant others etc. This didn't disturb her at all. Seeing people having fun around her was a welcome change from the solitude of the pat weeks... as well as all that was before that. "Have you been here before?" she asked as they walked in. It was an innocent question.

“Ya it does.” Streak agreed. He hadn’t been there before but it looked like an interesting place for them to go to tonight. From what he’d seen online looked like this place was going to put on quite a good Valentines Day party. Of course with the building being so many floors it would be easy to dance, drink, or just relax in a quieter part of the club. “Nope, I’ve never been here before. I saw a flyer though and it looked like it might be a nice place to go to.” Streak said to her. The silver mutant took her hand and led her across the street. “So I don’t have any contacts here; but I don’t think we’ll have to wait long.”
The Lotus was a busy place on Valentine's Day. There was music inside, music that made Lily smile and adjust her steps to the rythm as they finally walked in. The place was huge, much bigger than it looked on the outside. Filled with people. And music. And colors. And lights. As crazy as it sounds, it was exactly what Lily needed. She made sure not to let go of Shawn's hand; she knew she could loose him in the crowd if she did. She pulled him closer - or, rather, pulled herself closer to him, shifting their hands so his arm was around her waist. She was smiling, enjoying the music; it looked like the place had everything a good party needed. Drinks, music, dance floor, places to sit and chill. Hopefully in that order. "So, now comes the 'we stay inside and dance' part we had been talking about?" she asked with a grin, looking up at him.

Once they were inside Streak could see that it was a lot nicerthan any of the pictures on the Internet showed. Mybe that was just because of all the people that were there now. And speaking of people there were lots of them, and all enjoying something that the club had to offer. It seemed that holding hands wasnot going to be a very practical option for Streak to keep track of Lily; although apparently she'd already come up with that conclusion. As she pulled Shawn closer to her, he put his other arm around her waist as well.
This was probably his best excuse for being as close to her as he possibly could. But hey... Could ya blame him? Streak thought that the music thy were playing was perfect. It was going to be really easy for him to keep her close, not that he felt she would even want to be that far away since she was the one to pull him close. "Yup here's where we stay inside and dance." Shawn replied. Apparently Lily was lready in the dancing mood and wasn't to co cerned with drinks or anything else, and Streak wasn't about to say anything different to her. This night was all for her and he was going to let her do pretty much anything she wanted; as long as he was involved that is.
Since Lily was now directly in front of him and his arms were tied up around her he sort of walking-pushed her towards the dancearea. With the amount of people that were there it was kind of bass to tell if there was a designated dance floor. A lot of couples seemed to be dancing wherever there was space. Streak was headed for an open spot about twenty feet away from where they were. "Lets go over there and we can dance." Streak said indicating the spot he was headed to.
