The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Nodding his head Sam was about to comment on a few things when Jessica reached the table, Sam waited till after Kealey ordered her food to order his own. ”Hey Jessie, how is school treating you? Your jerk of an ex, still giving you trouble?” Sam asked curiously wondering if she was doing all right outside of work. One of the reasons he liked this place so much, everyone knew everyone, they were like a happy family and by a distant extension Sam was included in this happy family.
Jessica smiled as she jotted down Kealey’s order one that Sam approved of with a nod and a smile in his date’s direction. ”School is good, and about my ex, Mike made sure to make it clear that he wasn’t welcome in my life anymore… the usual?” she asked as she started to laugh as she spotted Sam’s smile to the fact that Mike was playing over protective father. ”Yeah, and Mike is enough to scare any boy off… think he’d scare me off…” Sam said as he started to laugh.
Jessica smiled and said, ”It will be the usual wait, so let me know if you two want anything else!” with that she jotted down the order and turned to headed to the kitchen.
Turning his to the pool table then back to Kealey he smiled. ”Another reason I like this place, everyone knows everyone!” taking a sip of his water Sam nodded his head to the pool table, ”Care for a game?” he asked curiously before standing up and heading to the table.
As he dug through the pockets to find the balls Sam occasionally looked up to Kealey, ”Even if it might not seem like anything, your gift is just that. I told you before I prided myself on keeping everything bottled up, that hasn’t changed but in an odd way I feel a little more comfortable around you, you keep me honest.” Sam said with a smile.
His nose scrunched up when she mentioned the Sanctuary, she also mentioned Garrett but Sam didn’t mind him if his Garrett and hers were one in the same. ”I hope your stay at the Sanctuary wasn’t to bad… they aren’t the nicest bunch of mutants…” Sam said as he racked the balls and placed them in order then removed the triangle from the table.
”Oh! There was also another reason for me asking you out tonight, other than me wanting to take you out on a date!” Sam said hoping he could get her to blush with his comment, ”I wanted to ask you what you know of the X-team, your making our suits but do you know what exactly we do?” picking up a pool cue Sam offered it to Kealey.

Apparently the waitress was in school still, and as Sam inquired about the girl’s life, Kealey took the opportunity to take a second look around the bar. They were far enough away from the other people that the solid ball of emotion in her head was tucked away to a point where she could concentrate a little bit with only the occasional emotional interruption. It had looked a little shady from the outside, but the inside of this establishment seemed very quaint and charming…and if what Sam said about the burgers was true, it would be more than worth the wait for the food.
The waitress walked away, commenting on how long it would take, then Sam pointed out that it was nice to be someplace where everyone knew each other. Kealey nodded vigorous agreement to the statement with a smile, ”I’m finally starting to find some places like that here in New York.” she said, ”For a while I’d started to think I was destined to be a hermit in my apartment. Apparently not so!”
Sam asked if she wanted a game, and before Kealey could ask of what he was gone. Up the blond got, following the X-leader to the large table covered in green felt. Pool was one of the many things Kealey had never done and she watched with rapt interest as Sam brought the balls out of the pockets and set them up on the table. He talked as he worked, and Kealey mused over what he said while he worked.
”I don’t know if I can honestly say that Sam.” she said seriously in regards to her powers, ”I don’t make anything, I can’t control what I do, it’s just…always there. I thank you for trying to make me feel better about it though.” Sam was being sincere when he spoke, and Kealey could feel it. She appreciated the notion and hoped Sam got the message. The second part of his statement made her laugh with genuine mirth and she shook her head, ”Someone has to keep you honest. Might as well be me, I guess.” she said.
The subject changed and Sam felt mildly uncomfortable with the fact that she’d stayed at the Sanctuary, going so far as to comment that the people who lived there weren’t very nice. A blond eyebrow rose as he spoke, ”On the contrary, everyone I met was more than friendly. I‘ve still got a few friends over there”
Same pointed out that he’d wanted to take her on a date, his emotions confirmed that as true, and Kealey sighed with slight impatience at the blush that immediately rose in her cheeks. So this really was a date. Suddenly the whole thing felt just a little more awkward. Same swung the topic of conversation quickly enough, though, that Kealey didn’t have a chance to dwell as curiosity overran her.
She shrugged her shoulders and perched a hip on the edge of the pool table, ”Just what I see on the news and hear on the radio. You’re all super heroes, right? And you’ve all got picky fashion sense.” That was the extent of Kealey’s knowledge, she assumed Sam was going to expand it.

She perched up on the table as Sam spoke, ”Not all of them bad, I know a few people there and don’t have a problem with them, just some you need to be a bit more wary of than others.” he shrugged and picked up another pool stick. Walking past Kealey to where the cue ball was he set up a straight shot and then stood to lean on his pool stick until Kealey was done leaning on the table.
”You can honestly say you were never thankful for you ability?” Sam asked a little surprised anyone could claim something like that. Even if it didn’t always seem like a gift there wasn’t a chance it was all a curse. Every mutant was special in their own way and if they could find out their outlet for their gifts he felt they would be happy with what they were given. Maybe Kealey just hasn’t found hers yet…
”One way to look at it,” Sam said as he looked down at the floor for a second then back up to Kealey, ”Though that is a simplified version of it, in fact, we do a lot more than just stop bad guys.” he lifted the pool stick off the ground and then rotated it and placed it on the table as his fingers arched to guide the stick to the ball. He didn’t hit it yet but just gave a few practice swings.
”Stopping crime, natural disasters, fires, all of the few that we set out to do. They are al in fact working towards our grater goal, you happen to notice in the papers and news that the amount of police officers dying in the line of duty dropped significantly? Well the reason fro that is because I along with the rest of the team had been helping the police. In fact we are going to join forces with them till they can get some new mutant recruits.” said Sam as he looked up to Kealey and stood up again.
”What our goal is to show the world that mutants don’t need to be feared, we are an example to mutants around the world showing them that humans and mutants can coexisted in peace and harmony, frankly I’m tired of fighting human verses mutant, brother against brother, one planet why destroy it fighting over it?” he asked as his passion for the subject flared he had a feeling that Kealey would get a taste of his emotion so he tried to tone it down a bit.
”Truth be told I wanted to ask you if you could ever see yourself helping me and the team by joining us. You’re a kind person Kealey, your also understanding you would make a perfect addition to the team if you were interested…” Sam said with a smile hoping that she would understand this wasn’t a topic that would control the night.
”Uhmmm… you might want to move for a second…” Sam said as he leaned over and fired the cue ball into the others letting out a loud crack sending a stripe onto the edge of a pocket. ”Your turn!”

Kealey couldn’t help but laugh a little at what CS had to say about the people in the Sanctuary, ”I think that statement could very well apply to anyone, Sam. Judging a book by its cover in this city is a very easy way to get yourself in a lot of trouble.” She smiled at him, though, ”Maybe I’ve seen the best…but until I see the worst, I’ll withhold judgment.”
Sam’s question made Kealey think, and slowly she shook her head, ”There have been a few times it could have been considered useful, I suppose. I’ve never been grateful, though.” The blond stared across the bar at all the people mingling and talking and the emotional rush from each as they earned her attention drove the point home a little. She pointed at a particularly large man devouring a sandwich.
”You see that man? He’s in absolute rapture eating that sandwich.” Kealey closed her eyes and smiled for a moment, ”Now I’m in absolute rapture…” her eyes opened and she turned to look at Sam, ”For no reason other than he is. If I wasn’t paying attention…I could have misplace the emotion…I have misplaced emotions. I never know what I think.”
Kealey had explained this so many times, but it was so difficult for other people to understand. Aurum had gotten it, Shin had definitely gotten it. Could Sam understand? Even when he was so sure that every power was useful.
The more in-depth explanation of what the X-Men did was interesting. They were teaming up with the NYPD to improve relations between mutants and humans, and stop some of the crime that was overrunning the city. It was a huge step from organized vigilantes to endorsed crime-fighting syndicate. Kealey nodded, they were good ideals and it sounded like they were making lovely progress.
Sam asked if she’d ever thought about helping them out and Kealey’s eyes widened for a moment before she burst into laughter. ”Oh Sam, do you really know what you’re asking? I can hardly sit through a movie in a crowded theater. What could I possibly do to help save the world?”
Sam took the first shot on the pool table after Kealey slipped out of his way, then offered her the cue. Kealey took it hesitantly, looked at the table, then back at Sam helplessly. ”I have no idea what I’m doing.”

It seemed that Kealey wasn’t getting at what he was saying. The Sanctuary housed most of the most dangerous mutants in New York City. Mentally shrugging Sam decided not to press the issue much further it was clear at the current time she wouldn’t understand what he meant she after all had never been in a situation which involved the order and their mutant supremacist thoughts.
Sam frowned slightly when Kealey said that she was never grateful for her gifts a comment that made Sam pity Kealey for a moment, only for a moment, because he was sure that all she needed was an outlet for her gifts, which was the reason he suggested her to join his team.
Looking over to the man that Kealey pointed out Sam nodded slightly he knew the man and new he did in fact enjoy his burgers too much. Laughing slightly Sam shook his head, ”Well that’s just Eddy…” but adopting a more serious mentality and tone Sam continued, ”I’m not gonna say I know what your going through, cause I don’t my are my own, however I am familiar with what it is like to have no control over a mutation…”
His hand rose and a cool breeze was given off from the ice that started to form around his hand, ”You know when I was seven and tried to do something like this you would have gotten frostbite, or worse.” he paused for a second then shook his hand manipulating the ice away like a disappearing magic trick. ”The first time I tried to from ice over my body the air around me became frigid killing one of the instructors where I grew up…” the event was true but the instructor part was false, he was more of a gunman in a training scenario.
Familiar emotions of hate and fear started to dwell in the crevasse of his mind but like the feeling he had of pity before he quickly pushed it away to welcome his usual calm mentality. ”My gift was a curse till I became it’s master.”
Looking to the pool table then to Kealey he continued, ”That might be, but when you phrase it like that it seems impossible…” Sam took a few steps closer to Kealey as he continued, ”All it takes is one person to help change the course of the future, and with your abilities I think you would make a fantastic addition to the team, we deal all sorts of people, and those people have feelings right?”
Sam started to laugh, ”Someone like you, keeping the mutants like me honest? Now there is a good use of your ability, you have the power to understand people, something not a lot others have and if they have it is a cheap imitation of what you have, I myself envy that about you.” Sam locked his eye on with Kealey’s as he continued, ”I think being able to understand one another is the first way to achieve true peace.”
”Easy game, take that stick and use it to knock the balls in the hole…” Sam walked over to the right spot she would need to stand to take the shot to hit the ball he was eyeing in the hole. There he waved her over, ”Stand right here and I’ll help you with the rest!”

Sam tried to empathize, and Kealey smiled at him in response. Every mutant had their own awful story of how they’d come to know about their powers, and how they’d learned to use them. The difference was, Sam had control now. He’d been through those terrible awful things that made him feel the way he felt when he thought about them now, and he’d learned how to channel those powers to do the things he could do now. He demonstrated and Kealey dropped her head slightly, ”I see what you mean.” she said, not pursuing the issue any further.
Even if he hadn’t had the control before, he had it now. Kealey didn’t. Even now, her powers functioned as strongly as they ever had. Yes, in a way she’d learned to deal with all the emotions of many people at once, but nothing had improved. Not for a decade. Sam didn’t get it.
As to the X-Men thing, Sam went on to point out all the benefits she would bring to the X-Men team. Kealey frowned a bit in thought as he brought all of them up. He said she knew people, Kealey shook her head. She didn’t know anyone, just what they were feeling. ”I don’t know why people feel the way they feel. Just that they feel it…and I’d be a whole lot of help right up until the moment when someone terrified came along. Then I‘d be a quivering mess on the floor.” she said, crossing her arms across her chest and studying Sam as he told her that understanding someone was the best way to make peace.
”It makes sense, what you say.” she allowed, nodding slowly, ”I just don’t know if I can give you what you need. I’ll think on it though.” she added, then studied the open posture he’d taken at the end of the pool table and the explanation Sam gave of the game.

Sam kept a straight face as he placed one hand on Kealey’s hand and the other on the small of her back, ”First, you need to figure out where you’re most comfortable, close to the table but not too close, a good balance where you can see the shot and guide the ball with ease, from there you need take a look at all the possible shots, that ball there,” Sam lifted a hand and pointed out to the ball she wanted to hit, ”Is your best bet,” Sam said as he removed himself from behind Kealey allowing her to take the shot.
”And do you honestly think I would put you in a situation you couldn’t handle?” Sam asked as he watched the table, ”I might not seem like it but I’m always worried about everyone on the team, you’d be paired up with someone who could keep you out of harms way, myself or Shin for example, are more than capable of keeping you safe.”
Looking back to Kealey he continued, ”Sides with me or shin around you could just pick up on those emotions and those feelings of fear go right out the door, I don’t think I have ever seen Shin cower in front of someone before, in fact he would probably crack a joke before he would quiver.” Sam said as he walked around the table.
”No pressure, if you want I could have you come on a mission with Shin or I to see what we are all about.” Sam said as he was already calculating the best shot that was in store for himself and then Kealey. Sam had no intention of putting anyone in harms way especially someone who couldn’t handle themselves, so there was no way in hell he would do something like toss Kealey on a mission she wasn’t ready for.
”So…” Sam said as he eyed Kealey, ”Care to tell me a little more about yourself? Hometown for instance?” Sam asked as he started his basic conversation for the first date.

The contact was surprising, if not entirely unwelcome, and Kealey laughed a little nervously as Sam explained to her the idea of pool. He explained that she needed to see all the possibilities and find a place that was a comfortable distance away from the table. Kealey listened, her attention flickering between Sam, the other emotions in the bar, and the fact that he was touching her. He moved, and Kealey lined up her shot, focusing on the ball that Sam had pointed out. She’d watched Sam shoot and she did as he had done, pulling the cue back and striking the white ball…a little too hard.
The ball shot away, striking the one Sam had pointed out and it went into the pocket. The white one followed it in, but Kealey still stood up and bounced a little bit. ”I got it!” she said, then held the cue back out towards Sam, who had started talking about the X-Men again. She listened to him with every bit of attention she could spare. She shrugged her shoulders, ”I wouldn’t presume to say anything about your leadership skills, Sam. I just know that I’m not good in tense situations, and what good would I be to you outside of those?”
He suggested that she go along on a mission with either him or Shin, and Kealey tilted her head, then shook it, ”It’s not like that Sam, it’s not selective. The way you’re thinking is interesting, though. I’ll think about it. I really will.”
Sam’s next question made Kealey smile slightly, ”Hometown? I suppose the best answer I’ve got for you is Newtonabbey, Ireland. It’s a lovely place, if quite simple. What about yourself?” she tagged on to the end, hoping to turn the subject away from her past, which definitely wasn’t a good subject for a date.

Letting out a low whistle and a nod Sam smiled, ”Sure did!” taking the cue from her hand when it was offered and when she was done bouncing Sam commented, ”lil’ less power next time, but it was a fantastic first shot.” Sam walked around and grabbed the cue ball from the pocket as he walked the ball around the table and then set it down lining up for his next shot.
Deciding not to line up for a complicated shot Sam smiled to Kealey when she spoke of the X-Men, ”You’re a person right? You have opinions right? Sides I have a gut feeling about you, you would make a fantastic addition to the team.” she said she would think about it, which was good enough for him so he decided not to press the issue further.
He smiled when she talked very briefly of her town in Ireland, ”Colorado Springs, Colorado I think, I don’t have a lot of memories from the place but the ones I do were either summer or winter.” he said as he was trying to recall the memories, which only brought feelings of loneliness. He turned his head to her as he lowered himself for a shot which required him to bounce the cue ball off the wall of the pool table to knock a ball in the side corner pocket, ”Family?” he asked curiously as the ball went in.
Getting up and moving onto the next ball Sam re-chalked the cue and lined up for the next shot, which was just a tad to soft. The solid ball moved a few inches only to teeter on the edge of the pocket and refuses to fall in. Laughing slightly Sam looked back to Kealey and then handed her the cue stick, ”Your turn.”

Kealey beamed with pride at the compliment Sam gave her. Kealey wasn’t a perfectionist, but it was still nice to succeed at things when you tried, especially the first time! Sam wasn’t patronizing her either, and Kealey smiled even more brightly. Apparently it wasn’t her turn anymore, though, and she watched carefully as Sam retrieved the white ball and set about picking a shot to take. He wasn’t telling her the rules, but Kealey thought she was getting the right idea.
Sam pointed out that somewhere in there Kealey had to have her own opinions and emotions and she laughed with a rueful shake of her head, ”I Of course I do, I just don’t realized I’ve done something I didn’t want until it’s far too late. Emotions are powerful things. Sometimes I eat something and think I love it until the person at the table behind me leaves.” she said. Sam was so confident in what he had to say, in everything he did, Kealey supposed it was a necessary trait in a leader. It made it easy to learn a new game, too. Confidence did wonders for a girl.
Kealey nodded her head as Sam explained about his origins. Having only been in the states for a relatively short time, Kealey had never seen Colorado, but she seemed to remember that it was one of the states on the huge mountain range that bisected the US. Sam pointed out that he didn’t have many childhood memories and it peaked Kealey’s curiosity. She was about to ask more, when Sam asked about her family.
Instantly, the calm confidence that had settled on Kealey’s face slipped into a thoughtful frown. This was definitely not a topic the blond wanted to address.
”None to speak of.” she settled on quietly, taking the cue from Sam and looking for a striped ball to shoot at. She found it and leaned over the table like Sam had showed her earlier. She struck, and the striped ball headed for the same pocket Sam’s shot had, knocking the solid one in instead. ”Well that wasn’t what I was hoping for. Does that mean you get more points?” she said with a shake of her head and holding out the cue.

Sam nodded his head and agreed, ”Yeah, that was one of my balls so I got the point for it, which also means it is my turn!” he noticed his question about family seemed to upset her some, as it should family was a touch subject for him as well, he wasn’t sure if she was reacting off of her emotions or his own. When she said she had none to speak of he had a feeling it was the same for her.
Lining up and taking another shot Sam sunk another one of his balls and lined himself up for another shot, ”Same for me, I have my brother and that’s about it, think I mentioned him before when we first met, he sings and dancing to “Put a ring on it”.” Sam laughed again when he first spotted his brother singing and dancing to it. It was far too ridiculous.
”And seeing as I just made the ball I was aiming for I get to hit again,” Sam said deciding to state the rules so she got a better idea of the game, he did say after all that he would teach her how to play. As he was lining up the shot he looked up to Kealey then looked down to the balls on the table and shifted his hand and the cue stick ever so slightly. Aiming at another set of balls (both were Kealey’s) Sam pulled back and struck, splitting both the balls sending one into a pocket and one rather close to a pocket.
”Hmmm… Guess this is the first time I played with one eye…” lied Sam as he looked up to Kealey and shrugged, ”But now we are even,” Sam said with a smirk as he stood up straight and nodded his head, ”How about we make this game a little more interesting?” Sam said as he offered her the cue stick.

Kealey nodded as Sam confirmed that knocking his ball in meant he got the point. Kealey wasn’t a sore loser, and she realized that it would probably take some time for her to actually learn the game. Until then, she’d watch Sam and see what she could pick up. Sam took his second turn and Kealey filed away another rule. If you made a point, you got to go twice She frowned a moment, ”Didn’t I make the last one? Why didn’t I get another turn?” she asked, head tilted to one side.
Sam made another shot, and Kealey continued to watch, wondering what happened if he managed to get rid of all his balls before she even managed to take another turn. He spoke about his family, though, and that pulled Kealey’s attention from the game. She frowned slightly, was this topic really something they needed to talk about? Sam was amused about his brother, and Kealey smiled at him. It must have been nice, having a brother…but she didn’t say anything. It would only lead to more talk of family, and that was already threatening to put a damper on the night.
Sam shot again, and Kealey frowned as the white ball hit two of hers. Focusing on his emotions as he stood up and used the excuse that he hadn’t played with one eye yet, Kealey raised an eyebrow. Walking forward, she crossed her arms and looked up at Sam, ”Don’t lie to me, and don’t let me win.” she said, a slight smirk coloring her features as she took the cue and looked for a shot.
Sam had lined her up with an almost perfect shot, and Kealey was going to take advantage. Over she bent, sifting through the emotions in her head until she found the one she was looking for, concentration. It was a little tricky to push the other ones away, and she didn’t exactly manage, but thinking about the concentration on its own sure made it easier to concentrate.
She took the shot, and grinned as the ball ricocheted into the proper pocket. Kealey pushed the emotions away again, and looked for another shot to line up. She wasn’t going to cheat, and taking advantage of her powers would be exactly that. Hopefully Sam had learned his lesson about lying to an empath. Kealey lined up her next shot, took it, and groaned as the cue ball hit her point ball and it missed the corner pocket completely.
Kealey offered Sam the cue, head tilted as he suggested something to make the game more interesting. It wasn’t interesting enough?

”If the white ball goes in even if you make a shot it’s called a scratch, you lose your turn if it goes in, that’s why you didn’t get to go again.” Sam said as he looked back to the table. She called him out on the lie, was it possible she was a lie detector as well? He didn’t know but scratched the back of his head laughing slightly, ”Guess there is no helping it then…” he would have to play a little more serious than he was now, he guessed she wasn’t the type that would appreciate the gesture.
Shrugging mentally as Kealey was getting ready for her next shot Sam took a step closer to the table watching as Kealey was lining up for the shots, she wasn’t bad especially for her first time, if Sam was going to let her win he wouldn’t have to play that bad, however she said she wanted him to try. So he would.
Taking the cue from her he smirked, ”A bet, I’ll be recalling it at any point in the night, when I see fit. A kiss, me thinks would be an interesting bet, you however can pick something else if you win.” he always found a kiss an interesting bet. The fact that she blushed easy would make it even more interesting, for him he’d imagine more than her.
”What do you say?” asked Sam as he extended a hand in her direction, ”Think about it you can have me do anything you want if you win, even break out dancing the salsa in the middle of a four way intersection.”

”Scratch.” Kealey repeated, adding another rule to the mental inventory she’d started compiling. If the white ball followed any of the others in, it meant you lost your next turn. Good to know. Kealey wouldn’t make the mistake again.
Sam had the good grace to be a little abashed when Kealey called him out on his attempt to throw the game and she grinned, pleased. Little white lies didn’t really hurt anyone, but it completely took the pleasure out of winning to know that someone was letting you do it. Kealey didn’t think she’d win in any case, but she’d sleep better that night knowing that she’d at least played a fair game.
Sam stated what his terms for the bet were, and Kealey’s cheeks colored darkly while she considered her options. On one hand, she didn’t want to offend Sam, he was a nice guy and they really were having a good time. But on the other hand, Kealey just wasn’t sure what would happen if she kissed someone with her powers. If they liked it, she would like it, and that had potential to be…dangerous. She shook her head and tried to smile a little ruefully, ”I don’t think that would be such a good idea.” she said, ”I mean, don’t get me wrong Sam…but I…just don’t think it’s a good thing to bet me with. My abilities are…unpredictable.” Kealey didn’t know what Sam meant by, “a kiss”, but it was better to be safe than sorry.
”If you can come up with some other idea, though, I’d be happy to make a bet.” the blond said, still waiting for Sam to take his next shot. Hopefully he wouldn’t

He laughed when she shot down his idea for a bet, she defiantly wasn’t the type to joke around with something like this and from what he could tell she was worried about her abilities when it came to kissing. He stopped laughing shrugged and ran his hand to the back of his head, ”Fair enough, guess I’ll have to think of something else then won’t I?” Sam said jokingly not really offended by her rejection of the idea of a kiss.
He kicked the bottom of his cue stick and rotated it in his hand as he placed it on the table lining up his next shot, it really was a good thing she didn’t take the bet if she wasn’t comfortable with the idea of a kiss, cause he was a somewhat skilled pool player. He smiled as he readied his shot, ”A shame too, would have been a nice prize,” Sam teased as he lined up his shot and sunk one ball then lined up for another shot, this time going far slower than he had before as he lined up another shot.
It was a three ball streak he couldn’t be stopped and was nearing the final pocket of the last shot all he had to do was sink the eight ball to win, the problem was it required a off the wall shot to give him a decent chance, the only problem was he was terrible with off the wall shots. He sighed and calmed his mind as he readied for the shot his smile still on his face. The balls cracked and the eight ball went for the right pocket however it was followed by the cue ball, dubbing him the loser of this match.
He paused for a moment then stood up his smile faded for a second as he looked at Kealey ”You really should have taken that bet!” said Sam as he kicked his heels together and then brought his hands into a salsa dance stance. ”Olay!” setting the stick on the table Sam walked over to Kealey and stuck out his hand, ”You did a fantastic job for your first time and congrats on the win.”
As he was congratulating her the waitress, stopped by with the food, ”Your always terrible with the last shot, food is here!” Sam turned to face Jessica and give her a look, ”Thank you Jessica for pointing out the obvious!” he smirked and then gestured for Kealey to the food, ”Let’s dig in!”
