The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ali also noticed the girl drop to her knees and start to cry, but two others had already tended to her. Besides, she was more worried about the ice creature more than someone crying at the moment. She was already thinking of what she would do if things got ugly again but she refrained from acting on her thoughts.
The guy carrying little miss trouble spoke to Ali and a couple others. "My name is Ali. Please don't call me fire girl. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere until she's contained."
Aura pulled herself together after almost losing it again and she told everyone she was fine. Then Michael started giving suggestions on what everyone should do. When Shawn replied that he would help make sure aura got to the Infirmary Nika took herself off that list. "I'm not leaving Iris so you're gonna have to count me in. She's my friend and I'm going to make sure she's ok."
Due to what Iris did for Nika after their Danger Room session; Iris had just created a special bond with the cat girl and Nika was more than honored to uphold her loyalty in return. Nika had never had people care for her before and so that made Nick and Iris very special to Nika and she would lay her life on the line for them if need be.
“Aurica please go with Shawn to the infirmary,” Michael pleaded, “Or at the very east take a step back form the group. If you follow us from a distance you can help if needed, but if you lose control it shouldn’t affect Iris.”
“Sorry Ali,” he apologised, “couldn’t think of what else to call you. Once we’re done do you think you can warm my hands up, they’re freezing.” He smiled, trying to lighten to mood a little bit. They were almost at the danger room.
(OOC: I’ll get Iris to the danger room with my next post, so anyone who wants to add something before we get there, now’s the time)
Mettaliar watched as Michael had gone and picked up Iris to take her to the danger room. He felt the need to stop him and let Iris rest on her own, but he knew he couldn't stop Michael even if he tried. He got up and listened to Michael speak. He brushed off some chipped ice on him and stood alongside him and Iris.
"I've been following this whole thing from the beginning, so it wouldn't make sense for me to leave now. I'll go."
(OOC: Guys, I think me and Iris figured out a way to fix the whole Haywire thing. So try and go with the flow when we hit the Danger Room.)
"I told you I'm fine. It was just for a second that I put my guard down. I'm going with you."
Aurica shrugged Shawn off when he tried to lead her to the Infirmary and just continued to follow the boy carrying Iris.
"Shawn, I'm fine. And I'm not the one who needs help. You don't know why I broke down."
While following the boy, she would go towards the other mutants, and start using her vitakinesis on them, slowly healing them one by one. She always wondered if it were possible for her to heal more than one person at the same time, but she knew she wasn't capable of that right now. While doing this, Aurica was slowly allowing Iris's fear into her. She needed to realize exactly how scared Iris was exactly, and not take in some subliminal message from her past, but what Iris is seeing herself.

<"No pain... Friends... helping... calm... no more pain... friends........ friends....... no... pain? ">
Inside her shell, a puzzled look suddenly crossed Iris's face.
The frozen gargoyle paused in its vigilance of the group. It's sightless gaze landed on one of them, a girl, the smaller one with the blue hair and eyes. It left its perch in the corner of the roof to crawl quickly down the wall, and made a beeline for her. It paused about a foot away, and lifted it's head, eying the girl as if curious. Suddenly it leapt onto her, scurrying up her legs and back until it sat perched on her head, similar to how a ferret would be known to react. It leaned over to look her in the eyes, upside down, claws hanging onto her hair to keep its balance.
For several seconds it simply stared at her. For some reason this girl was putting out a similar feeling.... or energy.... of sorts as the creature's creator, and it was trying to figure out why.
Then, from within her shell, Iris mumbled, almost inaudibly, "Calm... No... fear..."
Abruptly the creature leapt back to the ground, and scurried back up the wall to it's original position in the corner of the roof. However, by the time it reached its spot, the gargoyle had shrunk in size, to only a few inches high. Also, the shell around Iris shrunk a bit as well, leaving Michael's wrists and the tops of his hands free of the ice.

Shawn stopped trying to take her to the infirmary when Aurica pulled away from him. He followed behind her and mingling with the others in group. Shawn looks kind of relieved about not having to go to the infirmary because he really didn't want to go and leave everyone with Iris. He fell in and kept his emotions in check so that the gargoyle, which was acting weird, wouldn't attack.
