The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aurica just gave off a nod when the one mutant said if she knew any first aid to help the cat like girl. When they got close enough to her, she just smiled and did a little wink. Aurica rose her right hand, opening it with her palm facing towards the cat like girl, and it started to glow. Slowly, her wounds and bruises started vanishing. Aurica just giggled once more.
"You'll be fine. It's another ability I know. I call it Vitakinesis."
Once she finished, Aurica stood up once more, ready to fight, but heard the singing from the other mutant. She also heard her saying not to fight the ice as it would just cause more problems. Putting her hands down, Aurica stopped herself before causing any more trouble. She looked around, seeing everyone else who was fighting the ice off stopped as well.
Guess everyone took a chance.
Aurica then heard talk of taking the girl named Iris to the Danger Room and try to calm her down and stop all this madness. She saw the one boy that helped her pick up Iris, and saw the ice started covering his arms. A little worried, and wanting to pay him back, Aurica just went right next to him, walking by his side.
"I'll come with you. No way am I gonna leave you alone with her powers acting like this."
The wounded cat girl was helped over to the group which had gathered near Raina. She fought against the pain but at the same time she didn't want her power to kick in again. Nika was already tired enough. She heard one of the guys enquire about anyone with first aid skills. Before she knew it one of the new female mutants was somehow making her wounds disappear. When the girl was done Nika stood up carefully and stretched. She was a little stiff but she wasn't in pain anymore.
"Hey, thank you. My name is Nika what's yours?"
Nika also noticed the guy carrying Iris. "I'm going too. She's my friend. I just hope she can forgive me."

Inside her shell, Iris struggled to regain control of her emotions. Like most mutants her various powers were fueled by various emotions. The ice seemed to respond mostly to fear. Haywire had Iris hallucinating the danger around her, thus the aggression. Currently she was still hallucinating, seeing fanged and clawed creatures in lab coats, and her terror was just barely being kept in check. When she felt herself lifted, and sensed the warmth in the arms, the fear threatened to spill over again.
The ice snaked out and effectively froze Michael's hands to the shell surrounding Iris. It began creeping up his arms toward his neck. The frown crossed her expression again.
<"No pain... Friends... calm... helping.... no more pain.... friends... ">
Slowly the ice retreated, until only his hands were still frozen.
<"I can do this... Gotta.... stay... calm...">
She kept repeating Raina's song in her mind, as well as the calming suggestions sent by another person she didn't recognized.
A crystal of ice formed along the wall, at first resembling a simple rock crystal. Then it began to morph shapes. Eventually it formed a sculpture, reminisent of a gargoyle, about a foot tall and wide. As the group moved down the hallways toward the Danger Room, it followed them. It kept its distance, sticking to where the roof met the wall, watching them carefully with a cold, lifeless stare, especially the fire-starter, Raven. It was a manifestation of what Iris was seeing in her mind. As long as her fear was held in check, it kept its distance. But there was no doubt that if its Master felt threatened, it would attack.
<"No pain... Friends... calm... helping.... no more pain.... friends... ">

Ali watched as Michael carried the frozen girl down the hallway while others were tending to wounds. Once they had finished they also accompanied Michael. Ali dispersed her barrier and floated behind the group. Hopefully this will all end soon.
Ice looked as if it was going to encase Michael but it drew back. For that brief moment Ali thought she was going to have to go on the offensive again. That same thought arose once more when an ice statue formed and took the shape of some sort gargoyle type creature. The fire girl was ready for a fight but the creature didn't attack. Instead it seemed to be watching the group. Ali strained to keep herself in check, but she didn't like the looks of this ice beast.
Michael didn’t panic as the ice crept up him, but he did realise that if he became frozen solid then he wouldn’t be able to get Iris to the danger room. He stopped and waited. The ice receded to just his hands.
“Man this is cold,” he said with a smile, “my hands are numb. I sure hope once I set her down the ice lets go of my hands.” He hadn’t thought about frostbite or anything like that, after all he was invincible, what did he have to worry about? He carried on towards the danger room.
(OOC: I’m going to let everyone post before reaching the danger room)

"Everybody just stay calm" said Raina lagging behind and following close beheind Ali. "Iris is like any of us, her powers spike when she's full of emotion... if we get too riled up she'll blow... so no matter WHAT happends between here and the danger room... don't show ANY emotion! Do not attack..." she had been thinking this for a while, but after seeing the ice receed from Micheal, she knew she was right in her theory. She glanced behind her at the strange ice shape. It reminded her of when Dakota injected his power in her, and she was able to make an ice person and control it. What power Iris had! The beast looked terrifying, but Raina tried to ignore it. <Oh Iris...> she thought to herself <Is this what's happening inside your head?> she felt a pang of guilt for the poor girl. As they continued to walk, Raina sang the words of her song over and over in her head, hoping that they reached Iris.
"Right, don't show any emotion. Do you have any idea how hard that will be for me?"
Aurica just sighed when she heard the girl named Raina say not to show any emotion. She just put her hand to her head as she was really worried what would happen if she picked up another student's emotion. Aurica just took in a deep breath and let it out, trying to stay calm. It was then that she remembered the cat girl introduced herself as Nika to her. Aurica just turned towards her and smiled.
"It's no problem. My names Aurica Arsellec, though some people just say Aura for short, and some even call me by my middle name, Destiny. So it really doesn't matter to me."
Aurica was just a little edgy for the fact that the Gargoyle kept following them. She wanted to attack it, but she knew she had to keep herself in control and not try to harm anyone. It was then that Aurica was struck with a sharp amount of fear. She quickly dropped to her knees, tears rolling down her eyes as she was reliving her worst fears. Aurica realized she was picking up the fear from Iris, but it wasn't something she was seeing.
A smile crosses Nika's face when Aurica introduced herself back. However, the girl was soon on her knees crying. Nika squated down next to her and placed a hand on her back to try to comfort the girl. "What's wrong? Do you need help?"

Shawn was walking with the rest of them when he saw Aura talking to the cat girl who he heard was named Nika. He also heard what Raina had said about not having any emotion because it would provoke Iris. <Provoking Iris is the last thing I want to do.> thought Shawn. Shawn kept walking until he saw Aura drop to her knees crying. He stopped right next to here along with Nika and asked "Is there something wrong? Do you need to go to the Infirmary?" "I'm Shawn by the way. Most people call me Shawn, or Silver Streak, or just Silver whichever it doesnt' matter to me." He was kind of worried about her dropping so suddenly to her knees. He supposed it wasn't a usual thing having battles in the mansion and especially battling someone who is a mutant and he supposed that Iris used to, or still does, come to school here.

“Shawn, Nika, do you think you can get Aurica to the infirmary?” Michael asked, “Even if she’s fine, her healing powers can be put to better use there.” He hadn’t stopped when Aurica fell to her knees, he kind of had his hands full.
“Mettaliar, fire girl, sorry don’t know your name, you guys should be enough to ensure we get Iris to the danger room. Raina, think you can deal with the gargoyle if it gets aggressive? I don’t plan on aggravating it, but it’d be nice to know just in case.”
He continued his steady walk towards the danger room. things seemed to be calming down and with any luck this would all be over soon and he could start trying to get the feeling back in his hands.
Geo stood back as everyone rushed around afraid to help and not wanting to screw up. He watched at how everyone ran around working like a well oilled machine. "How could i ever fit in here." he said to himself. "I always mess stuff up." He followed the group heading to the infirmiry.
Aurica's hair started floating in the air, due to her telekinesis, as the images kept replaying in a fast pace, somewhat like a subliminal message. Her eyes were wide open as she was using both of her hands to hold her head up. Tears started pouring down her face as she just kept seeing images of kids beating her up, her parents shunning her, and so many memories.
"It's in the past...it's in the past...it's in the past..."
Aurica just kept saying those words as she was trying to block off that fear she was receiving from Iris. She slammed her hands to the ground as she took a deep breath and let it out. The images started fading away, through Aurica's breath kept getting more and more heavy. She clenched her teeth, made a fist, and slammed her fist into the ground once more. She closed her eyes, only to see the final image of the people around her. Aurica opened her eyes to find out she finally blocked out the fear she was receiving from Iris. Aurica lifted her head up to face the ceiling, catching her breath, and wiping away her tears. She slowly stood up and gave off a smile to reassure everyone that she was fine.
"Sorry, I'm fine now. I just picked up a lot of fear from someone, but I was able to block it out."
Aurica felt that she shouldn't worry everyone anymore than they were now. She just couldn't tell them that all that fear was coming from Iris. She heard the one mutant asking Nika and Shawn to take her to the infirmary to help the other mutants because of her healing ability. Aurica really didn't want to go. She was worried not only for him and the girl, but for everyone else who was going with him, but she figured she'd best not be selfish.
"Alright, I'll head to the Infirmary. Guess there are some others who need some healing, but I'll head over there once all of this is over. I'm still too worried about that girl, and she'll probably need some immediate attention once she gets her powers back in control."

"Aurica" said Raina in a sharp tone. "I understand the uneasy-ness about your powers... but if you can't keep them in check you need to leave. Micheal's right about the infirmary." she said this all very coldly. She didn't mean too, but she needed everyone to take her seriously. The brief exchange she had with Iris scared the daylights out of her, and she knew Iris was teetering on the edge. "We can't have any more mutants who can't keep their power in check..." she trailed off- she felt a bit mean, she softened her facial expression.... "but if you think you can handle it... it looks like a lot of people here need healing..." she looked around with a grimm expression at the other mutants.
"I can keep the ice-gargoyle in check if need be" she replied to Micheal. "You just keep moving"!

"Yah." Shawn said, "I can take her to the infirmary and then I'll catch up with y'all as soon as I can." Shawn told them. He helped Aurica up and started to lead her towards the infirmary. "Don't worry," he told her, "I don't like leaving them either but it seems like you need to get some help before you can help others." He hoped that by saying this he wasn't insulting her or anything because of what he was doing. He smiled and continued to walk with her towards the infirmary.
