The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

So Sam wanted to go back and help the mutant hunters.
Alexandra let him do it but without her. Was he really thinking that she was joking when saying that he shouldn’t count on her for that one?
The journey back was eventless (and on ground all the time, thank you very much) but, as suspected, it drained even the last bits of energy the molecule manipulator possessed. By the time they reached the hotel, she was constantly fighting to keep her eyes open and barely managed to park the car without crashing into something.
”So… your afraid of water?”
And she wasn’t in the mood for a conversation either. Sam probably expected an explanation for her water phobia, which at the moment she didn’t want to give/ was too tired to give. “Yeah. I am.” Was her final answer.
And she entered the hotel…
… and she wasn’t sure how exactly but instead of her room, she got into Sam’s again.
Yeah. That’s what you get when you’re not paying too much attention.
Alexandra kicked off her boots waiting for the moment when the uncomfortable conversation would begin. Either another question about her water phobia or about the decisions Sam made and she didn’t agree or vice versa.
”I know you didn’t approve of me helping them but I had to get them out of the ice… it was the right thing to do…”
The jacket was pushed off her shoulders as she let her hair free from the loose pony tail she’d wore during the mission. She looked at Sam and shrugged. “As for me it was the right thing to stay out of it.” Throwing the jacket on a chair, she walked over to the bed slowly and tiredly. “And I’m not going to lie to you. Water phobia was just one of the reasons.”
Again, she shrugged, slightly indifferent about the reaction her words might cause, then slipped in next to Sam. She yawned and closed her eyes while waiting to see if Sam was going to give her an answer or not.

He s smiled weakly as Alex joined him in bed and placed her head on his chest. He had to remember not everyone felt the same way he did about people like that. What was the golden rule, ‘Do on to others as they do on to you?’ it was something like that and for a long time that was in fact how he led his life. After a few years however the nagging voice in the back of his head started to get louder till he made the promise with ghost. One that he would promise not to kill, and even though he didn’t agree with the promise completely he knew that he wouldn’t do anything to break the promise unless it was absolutely necessary.
His had trailed up to her shoulder as Sam rubbed it gently before speaking, ”Too each there own I guess…” even if she didn’t feel the same way he felt about helping those in need Sam guessed her perspective was fully justified. If it wasn’t for a few key points in his life Sam would have left the sea men for dead frozen in large chunks of ice.
Sam said as he yawned and continued, ”So why are you afraid of water? You were fine in the pool back home for the whole Snoo Snoo incident…” Sam laughed tiredly his chest rising and failing. It was a day he remembered fondly, one of the few times he had seen his girlfriend naked, a sight he wouldn’t mind seeing again but then again the timing was pretty bad.
Silently, she approved of this answer. Making herself more comfortable on the Sam-Pillow, Alexandra closed her eyes, letting herself to slowly and steadily slip towards the world of dreams.
”So why are you afraid of water? You were fine in the pool back home for the whole Snoo Snoo incident…”
Eyes twitched slightly. Not because of the fact that Sam asked about her water phobia but because the Snoo Snoo incident was mentioned. Even without a mirror to see herself in, Alexandra knew that a hint of red was already coloring her cheeks. Clearly, she had yet to feel comfortable about certain aspects of her relationship with Sam.
Alexandra cleared her throat, considering herself lucky cause the room was bathed in darkness and the signs of her embarrassment were not visible. Then, she spoke, even if all she wanted right now is to go to sleep and certainly a conversation about one of her fears wasn’t something she liked to talk about when she was preparing to go to sleep.
“I… uhmmm, almost drowned when my mutation first manifested.” She turned on her side, eyes still closed, head still using the Sam-pillow while one of her arms was wrapped around Sam. A small yawn escaped her lips as she blinked lazily before letting her eyes closing again. “The water phobia was worse but I” Yawn. “started to overcome it and not all waters give me the creeps now.”
Her explanation was ended by another yawn shortly followed by a frown as the images of that cursed day when she discovered her mutation flashed in front of her eyes. Great. Something else to add to her nightmares.

A lazy smile touched Sam’s lips when his bare chest seemed to get warmer for a second then cooled. Even if it was his imagination he couldn’t help but think that Alex was blushing, after all whenever he did mention any of the incidents where he had seen her naked or when she had seen him naked her face always seemed to flare up in a bright red. He thought that after all this time she would have been less affected by comments like that but then again, this was innocent Alex. He let out a dry chuckle then placed a hand on Alex as he squeezed her in a half hug.
Her arm somehow managed to wrap around him, but he didn’t pay it much mind, reaching out instinctively Sam’s hand met hers and laced around it as he gave Alex another quick squeeze making sure to store the ‘some water’ phobia in the back of his mind so he would make sure he would never put her in a situation like that, Sam was after all the leader of the X’s for the time being and deep sea adventures were never that uncommon.
”Glad you didn’t drown,” he said with his eyes close, he thought it but despite his current lack of sleep it seemed to work it’s way out. Playing it off he quickly added, ”Also glad pools don’t scare you anymore, I had fun that day…” Yawns were contagious, he let a loud one then decided not to continue on with the conversation, it was clear that both parties were about to pass out and with her sleeping with him he could rest easy for the night. ”Night Al” Sam said as his own lids grew heavy and remained closed.
A finger tapped lightly against Sam’s hand as Alexandra listened to him already half-asleep. She chose to think of something brighter instead of the day she almost drowned. The Snoo Snoo pool incident, for example. Although embarrassing, it also brought a smile upon her face. Not everyday you see someone like Sam blushing or Dom yelling around ‘Don’t Snoo Snoo in the pool!’
A smile appeared on her lips. She missed what she’d been calling home for quite some time now. She missed the Mansion, her room, always better than a cold hotel room, Dom and his dance routine to Beyonce’s ‘Put a ring on it’, the Doc’s frowning whenever she was late, hell, even the tons of paperwork that awaited her. Everything was better than fighting with a Registration Act.
Alexandra sighed, letting happier and brighter memories flood her mind, promising herself that all will be over soon. She knew she’d try her best to accomplish that.
”Glad you didn’t drown, also glad pools don’t scare you anymore, I had fun that day…”
A small, tired laugh escaped her lips before she realized it, as did her comment. “I bet.” She cleared her throat quickly before continuing. “You should have seen me and Dom while giving him ‘the talk’.” Or now that she thought about it, maybe not. Her head moved, accommodating to the comfy Sam-pillow.
”Night Al.”
“Night S-.” A smile appeared on her lips again as she changed her mind, remembering the little exchange of pet names during the day. “-honey.”
And she let herself drift to sleep completely, simply enjoying the moment, the warmness, the safety.
