The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Looking around the corner and in the direction of the exit Sam shook his head slightly as she voiced her concern. ”We were careful not to repeat the same exit strategies too many times, this is the first time we decided to use the sewers in fact, and yeah I do find it a bit odd we only ran into a few scuffles for the number of times we have been doing this…” Sam paused as he looked back to the group then back to the exit.
”I think I’ve been feeling it as well, but I would prefer you to stay with the group, you're the only one with the map and if it is a trap I’d prefer one of us spring it opposed to both of us, sides, we don’t even need to go out there,” Sam pointed a finger to a puddle of water that had a rat bathing in it. The water quickly became cold as a hand reached out from under the rat and brushed him aside. Pulling out the rest of the body was little work for Sam seeing as the water was already gathered for him. ”I used to do something like this when I was a kid,” Sam said as the ice figure waved. It was close to the same size and frame as Sam himself what’s more was that the entire body was hazy and cloudy making it impossible to see through.
”We can send him out and see if we need to worry about being jumped, and if he does get destroyed it will only give us an idea what we are dealing with, and with the snow on the ground it would take less than a thought to get a few more golems out there…” Sam neglected to mention the limits of his powers for instance the fact that he could only control it so far and the fact that the further it got the more difficult it was to control. If he wanted this to be perfect he would have liked to go out there himself but Alex was right, splitting from the group and her wasn’t the best idea.
Alexandra frowned slightly, eyes narrowing even more as they shifted from Sam to the icy silhouette he had created. Doing that would only mean they’d loose the element of surprise. Because there were no ifs here … there was something waiting for them outside. Nervously she glanced back at the group, more in the direction of Pacifica and Gabriel. If only she could have used Pacifica for this problem… She sighed, knowing that without telling Sam about the Underground and her connections with it he wouldn’t agree using one of the refugees. Just freaking awesome! She complained mentally.
Piercing green and blue met her stare, Pacifica looking slightly amused with the situation. “You can control the ice…” she glanced at the figure in front of her, unsure on how she could call it “thing… without having visual contact? And just how far could you lead it away? You know, in case someone’s there… make them chase the ice clone while we are sneaking out?” Alexandra shrugged slightly as she looked back at Sam. “Or maybe we could change the exit point to somewhere else…?” Her hand was already placed on the pocket pc, ready to search for an alternative route to the surface. One that preferably didn’t lead them right into the welcoming arms of the Romanian police & Co.

Sam shook his head slightly, ”That’s the problem, I can control them if I know the lay of the land but unless I see where they are going I could have them just run into a tree and there goes the bait. If they were smart at all they would wait till they saw a group of us, which I can do but again I need to see where they are going.” he paused slightly upset she was about as stubborn as he was with this situation. Looking at his watch and frowning slightly knowing how long it would take them to get to the border, ”We’d lose daylight if we changed directions and the last thing I want is to be caught in the dark with a group of people that are trying to escape. It would be different if there were less people but no one is going to get left behind…”
He sighed scratching the back of his head and looking at the figure about his height, ”This will be the fastest and safest way if this is a trap, I can blend in with my golems perfectly and I’ll be in radio contact with you the entire time, I wouldn’t suggest this unless there was another faster and safer way to do this but…” raising his hands and forming a few more golems in the cold air Sam was now looking at a total of seven golems all in the identical size and shape.
Again frowning Sam waved his hand again and altered the shape of a few of them to increase the size or decrease it accordingly to make it look like they were different people. Nodding his head with satisfaction Sam looked back to Alex and gave her a serious look, ”I doubt there is anyone out there waiting and even if there is they can’t hit what they can’t see right?” he asked her as he motioned for the golems to start moving off towards the end of the tunnel.
”Give me a few minutes I’ll send them out stick to the shadows and then let you know if it’s safe to come out or not, the van is less than a mile off anyways best case scenario I beat you all to the van.” looking at the golems that walked slowly and somewhat human like Sam turned his attention back to Alex and said, ”Trust me?”
Frowning was becoming something usual for the molecule manipulator. Arms were folded in front of her, lips pursed together in disagreement, nostrils flaring with anger. “Sam, last time I trusted you, you left to Romania without me.” Blue eyes narrowed at the ice mancer. “For my own good.” Words rolled out of her mouth in somehow a sharp manner. Yes, she knew Sam had good intentions. Way too good intentions as a matter of fact and that was exactly what bothered her.
Alexandra sighed. “But you’ll do it anyway.” Stubborn, stubborn Sam. Don’t you know that I always have my way? Alexandra tilted her head to the side. “But. Get this. If something happens, I’m coming to get you and call Kaz to take them away.” She nodded in the group’s direction with a small shrug. “If the authorities get the hint that you’re luring them away they’d send someone else after them.” Innocent blink. “And the whole plan will need to be changed, you are aware of that, yes?”

Seriousness turned to shame quickly as Alex recited that she previously trusted him and she got burned. Bowing his head Sam sighed and said, ”You know I’m sorry and I didn’t want to do it though…” he quickly lifted his head and smiled, ”I’ll only do it because it seems like the best option not to upset you but again you know that don’t you?” his grin faded quickly as he adopted his serious look again, ”I promise, I’ll get them out of here before they have any idea what is going on, and when you get a head start I’ll be heading to the border to meet you!”
A smile returned to his face as he got his way. Grabbing Alex’s hands in his own he leaned in and kissed her on the cheek before turning back to the group who were where he had left them. ”Let them know everything is alright and keep an eye on the little girl and her grandfather.” Sam smiled again and released Alex’s hands and offered a wave to the little girl that was trying her best to see what was going on.
Turning to the exit a layer of ice covered the inside of his clothing making it more resistant to attacks if it was indeed a trap. Again he activated his mutation as a small level of haze started to form around his body and as the haze covered his and his golem’s feet he and they started off into a sprint. With a quick look back Sam smiled to Alex before stepping towards the end of the tunnel.
As he reached the end he focused on the snow and forced it into the air forming a thick but still a see through mist. He wanted to remain visible while his golems, they would be better hidden, shadows in the mist was all he wanted thoughts prying eyes to see if in fact anyone was waiting for them.
Exhaling as his boot hit the outside of the tunnel Sam heard the loud crunch of snow before he looked around. Trees and bushes were scattered about the scenery making them decent enough hiding spots for sharpshooters or those looking to spy. Eyeing tree to bush Sam crouched low and waved to his golems who were shrouded in mist, to all those on the outside it would like Sam was directing a cloud of mist with seven figures inside of it.
Off in the distance a pair of men grinned through sniper scopes eyeing the foolish mutant that thought he could help the abominations across the body. Laughing into his radio he signaled the others to get moving when the targets entered a circle of trees that they were surrounding. With the leaders current direction it should only take five minutes to reach the location.
”Things are looking good…” Sam said into his earpiece as he and the group of ice minions neared the first major opening which was a area surrounded by trees. ”Sit tight for a few more minutes…” Sam said to Alex who knowing her was worrying for his safety.
With a certainly not very pleased look on her face, Alexandra nodded at Sam, arms unfolding now. When Sam took her hands in his, she squeezed them lightly. Why are you so stupid Sam and you don’t see that I don’t want you to get hurt? Blue eyes softened as an inaudible sigh left her lips as she brushed them against the skin of his cheek. “Take care of you.” she whispered before he left, his hands slipping away from hers.
She looked at his departing frame for a few more seconds and then, shaking her head, she turned back to the group. Blue eyes went past the little girl and her grandfather, and without much of an emotion scanned the each and everyone of the group. Questions arose in her mind. If Sam changed the plan every time he took another group and this was the first time he had ever used the sewers, how was it that the Romanian authorities knew about the exact exit point? Although not visible in any way, suspicion was clouding her mind. How else would it be possible unless someone was giving them hints?
Lips were pursed together as blue eyes stopped a few moments on Pacifica, meeting her amused stare with a sharp look. Yes, she had forgotten just how easily the Underground leader could be amused. Her eyes became softer as she moved on to Gabriel. Who was throwing daggers from his eyes at the moment. Yeah, she knew that Sam’s little display of affection would bother him.
Taking a small breath, she turned her body to the side, preferring to stare at the slimy wall instead and only occasionally glance at the group. In some of the eyes, the questions and the panic were visible but she chose to ignore them and instead stay and wait for Sam’s report on the situation outside. And, the waiting was killing her for God’s sake. She raised her hand, pulling the sleeve of her jacket up so she could see the watch on her wrist. It was then when Sam’s voice interrupted her action.
”Things are looking good… Sit tight for a few more minutes…”
Hand traveled down, as she blinked slowly. Yeah, easy to say. “Got it.” she replied, once again letting her eyes travel from a member of the group to another, and yet, avoiding both Pacifica and Gabriel as much as possible.

The cold wind brushed against his face his breath, hidden in the dense fog he had created around his living statues of ice blue eyes darted from tree to bush as he and his minions were now out in the open. He remained still for a moment and lowered his frame picking up the snow and forcing the fog to die down around him and reveal more of the golems out lines. A branch snapped in the distance as a small flock of birds scattered from a near by bush and Sam instinctively dropped to the ground.
Looking up from the snow his face still exposed he eyed the surrounding areas. Again there was nothing, Sam sighed in relief as he reached for his earpiece to signal Alex that things were all kosher to continue on with the plan. However his hand quickly dropped as he heard a small thud and the sound of cracking. Turning his head he spotted the smallest golem who was supposed to resemble the girl fell to the ground with a large hole in her head.
Pulling a blanket of snow over his body all but his eyes Sam looked around as men started to exit the trees and bushes the way animals flee from a forest fire. Mutants were money for a capture right? Were they headhunters or maybe the Romanian law? Sam didn’t know and didn’t really care all he knew was he would have to lead them away from Alex and the others. ”I might be a few more m….” he paused as a dart of some kind shot over his head and zoomed off towards another golem, ”inutes… nothing to worry about! Stay put!” lied Sam.
Knowing that the hole on the first golem was from something other than a bullet from an actual gun Sam absorbed the snow covering his body into a thick powder puff looking armor. With a small grin as he remembered Frosty the Snow Man he formed an umbrella and a top hat of ice. Then with a mere thought his golems scattered out to a few targets as the fog faded into nothing.
Seven men were visible and he had a feeling a few more were ready to pounce out. Darts right? Nothing to worry about! Just as he felt confident on the situation he felt his Snow Man suit weaken and then vanish as a surge of electricity coursed through his body.
Falling into the snow and looking at his golems that had stopped moving Sam let out a small grunt as he raised his hands ”You got me!” raising to his feet Sam breathed in and then out trying to get over the small-unexpected jolt he had received. Glad that the Snow Suit took the brunt of the attack Sam raised to his feet his hands still in the air.
”I Surrender?” he asked in English forgetting that he wasn’t home. The golems shattered into nothing as the men started to laugh and point at Sam, clearly they thought it was over, which was good because a few more men came out bushes.
Good for them bad for Sam as they gathered about into a large group all still aiming tasers at him Sam frowned slightly, ”Really?” he asked as he eyed the white stuff under their feet. With a grin the snow swelled upward and enclosed their feet as Sam tucked and rolled into a small snow bank that had conveniently formed for the ice master. Clicking his ear piece trying hard not to laugh about the stupidity of the men Sam cleared his throat, ”Hey baby, ran into a snag, twenty minutes?”
Patience, patience. Usually, it was something Alexandra was good at. Now, not really. Eyes traveled restlessly around her surroundings. Foot tapped against the wet floor. Her fingers could not last for a mere second without being moved. She sighed. If that stubborn Sam won’t say anything/ rush back in the next minute she was going out.
”I might be a few more m….”
Oh yes. The welcoming party had made its appearance.
”inutes… nothing to worry about! Stay put!”
Right.
Like she ever listened to Sam.
Alexandra turned her head toward the group, gesturing Pacifica to come to her. Gabriel, although not invited, quickly followed, the same sharp look in his eyes. The Underground leader took her time to come to her. It seemed like nothing in the world would make that woman move her ass faster. And, Alexandra was being impatient.
“Yes?”
When someone was throwing daggers at you from their eyes, it was quite difficult to concentrate. Blue eyes slid away from Gabriel and his stare to meet Pacifica. “You were right. We were being expected.”
“Oh, and you didn’t trust us. You needed your boyfriend to tell you, right?”
Gabriel was being stupid. Yes, that was the conclusion. Cold blue eyes turned to him.. “I did trust you, Gabriel. And really, this is not the time. I need to get out there.” Alexandra turned back to Pacifica, ready to speak. But, someone had other plans, apparently.
“Oh, so no you’re into the self-sacrificing guys, right?”
The molecule manipulator took a deep breath. Patience was quickly slipping away from her grasp. Ignorance was bliss, some said. And so, she chose to ignore Gabriel and focused on Pacifica once again. “If I don’t get back in… two minutes… take them somewhere safe. Not to the Underground Headquarters, okay? And don’t let anyone use cell phones or anything like that.” The woman arched an eyebrow at Alexandra. With the corner of her eye, she could still see Gabriel frowning at her. “And why would I do that?” Yes, such a great time for everyone to be against her. Alexandra narrowed her eyes at the Underground leader. “Because I asked you to do so.” Pacifica shrugged, smiling slightly. “I will think about it.” And, in Alexandra’s book, that meant yes. She nodded in Pacifica’s direction, ignored Gabriel and turned to the group.
“Okay, we’ve ran into a small problem. Nothing to worry about. Just stay still and, if needed, follow her orders.” And with that being said, Alexandra spun around and jogged her way toward the exit. Feet hit the slimy water on the ground, splashing it around. Rogue thoughts like, man, she needed a shower or her boots were ruined for good ran trough her mind as she kept running.
She stopped by the exit, mind searching for a quick plan. Getting out right now would distract the men and, if Sam was in any trouble, he’d have time to get out. But, it also meant that they had time to call reinforcements. Alexandra narrowed her eyes. She glanced outside. The men were quite busy, laughing and pointing at Sam. Good, that meant they were distracted. Quietly, she slipped out from the sewers and slid behind a tree. They hadn’t noticed her. Oh well, she couldn’t help herself but smile at this. Poor souls, they have missed their chance to escape.
”Baby, ran into a snag, 20 minutes?
Alexandra rolled her eyes. Sam, I’m so going to kill you myself. She didn’t answer him. Not yet, at least. Instead, she glanced at the situation again. Sam was behind a snow bank. Men had stopped laughing, instead, they tried to move toward Sam. Epic fail. Oh yes, Sam, you have such a great sense of humor. “Baby, I’m so going to kick your ass.” She chanted in the communicator. 20 minutes, Sam said? Time to make things move faster. “Let’s see how you boys play without… oxygen.” The molecule manipulator blinked once, before she focused her mutation on the area around the men’s heads. Good job in bringing them together like this, Sam. As soon as the affected area got the shape and size she wanted, molecules of oxygen moved under her command, away from the men and their lungs.

The sound of struggles could be heard from the men that had foolishly gathered and even more foolishly presented their weapons to Sam. Lifting his head over the snow bank and looking at the men trying to move free from the ice and failing miserably Sam’s earpiece relayed Alex’s words. ”Now why would you do something like that sweetheart?” Sam asked curiously knowing that she was within the vicinity, seeing as all the men started to panic and reach for their throat.
Hoping that she hid those they were helping moments before in a safe location Sam eyed the men as their panic started to slow them down. ”Aww, you came to make sure I was alright!” Sam said as he spoke to Alex through their radio. Eyeing the ice on the men’s feet as he poked his head from above the snow bank Sam willed the ice to continue to move upward the body.
”Just make sure to give them oxygen once they pass out alright.” he said knowing she woun;d take it that far but figured it needed to be said. Watching the ice cover their waists and continue to rise till there was a small pillar of ice covering each of the men that had tried to trap and capture.
Raising from the snow bank satisfied with the twelve pillars of ice that stopped below the neck of each of the men, ”That was anti-climatic, you really didn’t need to come get me…” he said walking over to the men trying to find out where in fact Alex was hiding.
As expected, none of the boys did well without oxygen. Like she had mentioned Lenna earlier… watching someone gasping for oxygen was quite a view.
”Now why would you do something like that sweetheart?”
For several reasons, came the mental answer. She laughed briefly, shifting her eyes from the men who were literally cooling down in a blanket of ice to the surroundings. Hopefully, Sam brought all of them to his location and none decided to stay behind. Alexandra rolled her eyes at Sam’s comment about giving them oxygen. She was already doing it. Although there was nothing she would have loved more than letting a dozen of corpses behind her … so those who came knew what expected them.
Sigh.
”That was anti-climatic, you really didn’t need to come get me…”
Of course.
The surroundings were apparently quiet. Eyes traveled back to Sam, who was now looking for her location. “Sam, stop looking for me. Check the-” With the corner of her eye, she caught a movement. “Sam, get down!” Because, from behind a tree, there was a man pointing a gun at him. And while she called out in the communicator for Sam to get down, snow rose from the ground and hit the sucker right in the eyes.
Startled, the man dropped the gun and instinctively brought both of his hands to his eyes, rubbing hardly against them to have his vision back. Annoyed, Alexandra hissed while blue eyes were looking for something harder to hit him with. Finally, her attention was grabbed by the sewer’s exit. Metal. Perfect. She didn’t move too much of it. Just enough to make a sphere the size of a tennis-ball. One, that quickly traveled in the direction of the man who was just lowering his hands down and searching for the fallen gun.
He never knew what hit him.
Like a puppet, he fell to the ground when the metallic sphere hit him right between the eyes at full speed.

The radio continued to buzz his girlfriends voice in his ear, his gaze still looking about for the source of the voice. Surprised by the sudden ‘get down’ Sam dove into the snow face first eyes shut to prevent them filling with snow he slowly rose his head from ground and looked around. Eyeing a pile of snow forcing it’s self onto a man who was no longer fully hidden from sight. Knowing that Alex would make him eat his words from moments before Sam watched the man who had snow in the face get hit with a ball of a metallic looking object.
”….so you might have needed to come to my rescue…” Sam said simply as he stood upright a looked around the plant life to see if he could find Alex, ”Though I did most of the hard work…” he said in a joking manner as he walked closer to the men that were still covered in a frozen prison. Placing his hand on one of them Sam smiled slightly as he weakened the ice to the point where it would take a while to break or melt even if they fought against it.
”Where are you?” Sam asked curiously looking for his savior while walking over to the last lone fallen headhunter. Eyeing the red mark from the ball that had hit him Sam smiled and forced the snow to wrap around his body in a tight cocoon. Eyeing the gun he was going for Sam let out a thankful exhalation.
Not realizing his radio was still on he said quietly so no one heard what he would have had to say, ”God, I love you!” reaching over to the gun Sam lifted it and covered the innards with ice and then forced it to shatter into a billion tiny little pieces.
”We should probably get back to the group…” Said Sam as he started to walk for the sewers.
”….so you might have needed to come to my rescue…”
Concern began to slip away from her, and even while she was still checking the area surrounding Sam, she let herself smile. “Oh, you think so?” She asked mockingly. Without any other motion being sighted, she allowed herself to breathe relieved. At least for now.
” Though I did most of the hard work…”
Rolling her eyes, she laughed while turning on the communication. “Pft. Men. They always the credit. Or at least the most of it.” Still smiling, she looked at Sam while he was still trying to find her location. But, she didn’t reveal herself yet, not before she scanned the area once again. Never hurt to be too sure.
By the time she decided to get out from behind her tree and walk over to Sam he was icing up his newest of buddies and kneeling over to probably pick up a gun. Being as silent as possible, she reached his location and stopped behind him, ready to open her mouth and speak when –
”God, I love you!”
It was a whisper, one she wouldn’t have picked up if the radio wouldn’t have been turned on on his end. She blinked, slightly, a bit taken aback by the use of this word. Sam moved, making her snap back to reality, while he was turning around telling her that they should go back to the group. Waiting for him to notice her and putting on her grinning face, she put a hand on her waist. “Really honey... I’m saving your ass and you’re loving that guy?” She mocked, of course, while blue eyes glanced for a second at the lucky number thirteen playing the role of an ice column.
Shaking her head slightly, Alexandra turned back to serious. “And, yeah, we should go back. They’re probably panicked and I fear that the last one might have called help before attacking you.” Plus she told Pacifica that if she wasn’t back in 2 minutes she should lead them away. And, after glancing at her watch, she noticed that the two minutes were almost up.

Turning on his feet to see Alex less than ten feet away from him he froze, did she really hear him? She did what’s better was she didn’t take what he said to seriously, which was good cause even if he had those types of feelings for her he had no intention of verbalizing them anytime in the near future, he wasn’t going to make that same mistake again, he had once said that to Leila (probably far too soon) and she responded by running out on him with nothing, no phone call, no letter, no nothing just upped and left. He wanted to make sure he didn’t repeat the same mistake with Alex.
”Hey, he had the decency to drop the gun instead of fire when the snow hit his face, I think that makes him my hero!” said Sam with a smug grin as he continued his path back to the sewers with Alex now by his side. ”But thank you,” Sam said quickly as he picked up the pace towards the others still hiding out, ”Did you just leave them?” he asked curiously as the pace continued to quicken into a run. Time was of the essence and he knew they wouldn’t last together for long.
As they approached the group Sam rose his hands quickly and said, ”Bine, doar ce am primit informat¸ii ca˘ vâna˘torii sunt la câteva mile de aici as¸a ca˘ hai sa˘ o ca˘lca˘m s¸i sa˘ pleca˘m de aici.” Alright, just got word that head hunters were spotted in a few miles from here so let’s put the pedal to the metal and rev this engine up and out of here! he knew he was lying to the group but the last thing he wanted to do was cause them to panic and try to break from the group.
Walking over to the old man who was sitting on small makeshift bench another one of the mutants created Sam turned his back to him and crouched down. Once the old man was located safely on his back Sam looked back to the rest of the runaways and then reached down to the little girl for her hand. Once her hand had viced around his Sam eyed one of the men and woman that had been staring him down ever since he and Alex had returned. Walking over to Alex and asking her quietly, ”Is it just me or am I getting a stink eye from the happy couple in the back?”
Alexandra pouted at the answer, putting a visibly fake mad face on. “I’m never saving you again.” She said, crossing her arms in front of her. Mentally, she sighed. Sam was the reason she was in this particular mission. If it wasn’t for the constant desire to make sure he was fine, she wouldn’t have lost precious time to get 6 people across the border.
”But thank you.”
Sticking her tongue out, she smiled. Anytime. Verbally, she didn’t answer, but she knew that she wouldn’t even think saving him or not if he needed it. Alexandra started to move, her pace quickening soon to follow Sam.
”Did you just leave them?”
Kind of. But, of course, she wasn’t going to say that. “Don’t worry Sam. They were taken care of in case we didn’t get back.” She said mysteriously. And she left it at that, falling silent as they continued to walk. Just before they were to enter the sewers once again she stopped. “And Sam, whatever I say or do while in this mission, no matter how strange it seems, just play along.”
And then she entered the sewers. Yes, they had a mole problem which needed to be solved as soon as possible. Her eyes fell on Pacifica and Gabriel as soon as the group came into view. Pacifica was glancing at her watch. Gabriel was looking at her. First, she could decipher worry in his eyes. Then, the same bitter jealousy or whatever he was feeling. And, most likely, that look wasn’t directed just to her. She sighed, folding her arms and starring at one of the walls as Sam spoke.
Finally, after the old man was on his back again and the girl held Sam’s hand, she started to move, slightly ahead of Sam.
”Is it just me or am I getting a stink eye from the happy couple in the back?”
Yeah, well. She knew exactly what Sam was talking about and although Gabriel was the one burning holes in her and Sam’s back right now she chose to lie. Pretending to be confused, she glanced over her shoulder, waaay past Gabriel and Pacifica, then she turned back to Sam. “Nah.” She said with a shrug. “And they said they were brother and sister.” She added, just to make a conversation.

”Still even if they are brother and sister… they are all smiles!” lied Sam as he caught up to Alex his free hand waving to those that were falling behind. The cold air licked his cheeks as they neared the exit of the sewer again and instead of taking the path that they had just returned from Sam decided to walk around the opening of trees to avoid the piles of snow and ice that laid over the head hunters that he and Alex had taken care of. He knew that if any of them were nearing a break out they wouldn’t hesitate to take on the group even if they were vastly outnumbered.
”What exactly were you talking about back there?” Sam asked curiously as he found it necessary to ask what he should be playing along with. He trusted Alex with his life, just as he should seeing she just saved him less than a half hour ago and if she wanted him to play along with something he would but to what he was playing along with he would like to know, so he could play along properly.
Twenty minutes with their current pace and the location where the large van was should be waiting for him. Hard to see if close and nigh impossible to see from a distance Sam walked over to a large patch of bushes and gave a sweeping motion with his hand forcing the large amount of snow and ice that had piled on the van Sam grinned and looked to Alex, ”You want to drive or should I?” he asked curiously figuring he already knew the answer.
