The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Mutations
Mutation description: Her first power manifested itself when she was twelve. Her house hold cat, Chester, was sleeping on her bed one morning when she woke up, she reached to pet the cat and was immediately rewarded with a sharp yowl and Chester bolting from the room. She was alert after that, and noticed that her cotton blankets and pillow case has odd, hand shaped prints on them. upon further inspection, she found that the prints felt like rough patched of dried mud...or stone, and they wouldn't come off. Being a child still, this frightened her, she reached to throw off her blankets and noticed that where she grabbed, the fabric hardened under her fingers- turning into the same colorless stone like material. Later that day, her mother found Chester hiding behind the fridge, his left ear Grey in color and rock hard.
Strengths: The power gives her the ability to change organic matter into a hard, stone like material. The longer her hands stay in contact with an organic object, the more of it is transformed.
Weaknesses: When her power manifested, she lost her sense of touch and the freedom to feel things. She can no longer shake hands, pet dogs, or eat food without first putting on a pair of gloves made from synthetic material.
Secondary mutation description: Her second mutation manifested itself within the last two years. Her eyes has always been an odd color- just as her skin had always been fairly corpse reminiscent- but after a particularly grueling headache, she found that looking at herself in the mirror was a very, very bad idea. After she happened to make eye contact with herself in a mirror one day; on her way through the living room, she accidentally threw herself into short catatonic coma. After what seemed like hours, she came to with burning eyes and the worried faces of her mother and father standing before her. Thoroughly frightened, she locked eyes with her father and was surprised to watch as he went completely ridged and un-moving. She was afraid to look at her mother, and after shutting her eyes tightly until she made her way upstairs, she dug out a pair of dark sunglasses and slipped them on for the first time. Her reasoning was that if she couldn't look at someone directly, perhaps whatever had happened to her wouldn't affect them. She was right. The tint of the sunglasses voided out her new- terrifying power. Her father came to a few minutes after she had left for her room.
Strengths: The power enables her to put whatever she makes eye contact with into a sort of catatonic coma. While the body remains alive with all organs fully functional, the brain shuts down momentarily- usually from a few minutes to ten or fifteen. While in this state- victims are, for lack of a better word, pose-able.
Weaknesses: After her second power manifested, she found that her vision had been altered. Things of an organic nature lacked color to her. People and animals, as well as trees and certain bed sheets show up as Grey to her, She can see color in plastics and metals, and other man-made materials. She lacks control over her power, and because of this she isn't able to decide how to use it. Friend or foe, in her eyes its all the same.
Power Growth 1/22/10
Mutation description: A mass of living, withering, hissing snake hair. The group of snakes is made up of smaller, non-venomous- garter snake reminiscent serpents, as well as seven larger venomous snakes. Because of them being attached to her, the longer they remain, the more she ‘hears’ what they are thinking, in a sense. If one serpent spots a mouse and wants to take a bite- she will get a watered down urge to do so as well. If they snakes are alert for danger, so will she be. The same, with time, will go for the snakes learning from and ‘hearing’ her wants and feelings. The last thing to come about from her newest mutation is that while the snakes are attached to her, they will live as long as she does. If they are killed, severed, or pulled from her skull however, what’s left of the body will fall out and in a few weeks (weeks for the smaller snakes, about a month and a half for the large ones), a new snake will have reformed.... much like how hair re-grows constantly.
Strengths: The seven larger snakes provide Andrea with six potentially lethal bites as well as some muscle from the largest snake attached to the base of her neck. While each snake has its own particular personality (some are a bit more vicious than others), they generally act as a unit when attacking. If rushed by multiple attackers (however unlikely) the snakes have the capacity to each turn and fend off one attacker by bite or by spray. Only two of her large snakes have the ability to spray their venom, much like a spitting cobra. The venom her snakes produce is pretty much the same toxin her hands secrete. On contact with living, or organic tissue, the cells in said tissue die and harden- like stone. While a snake bite would produce a more serious wound- due to a high amount of the substance and its liquid form- it would still take either a direct bite to a vital area, or many bites to take down an enemy- or kill someone. The spray itself only has a range of five feet. Anyone who is being targeted by the snakes spray must be within that range to be hit by the toxin.
Weaknesses: The Mass of snakes attached to her draw their energy from her own personal supply. Her blood is their blood, her food is their food. It is difficult for her to maintain a proper weight with the snakes attached, as well as a good amount of energy. A strict schedule will be needed for her to operate efficiently, as well as a large amount of food. Another weakness she has, (if you consider it a weakness), is that while she is immune to her own toxins (and thus the toxins of her snakes) she is not spared from their painful bites or anger. It will take a very long time for the snakes to view her as one of their own and not try to spear her fingers on their fangs. Until that time, she will be forced to live with the constant humming of Snake like wants and whispers.
Power Growth 2/11/14
Growth description:
Her blood has the ability to rapidly heal grievous wounds on other persons than herself. Once her blood comes in contact with the injury, the process of healing begins immediately. On small wounds such as inch deep lacerations, the speed at which her blood can heal the wound is almost instant. When it comes to wounds much deeper, or more severe, such as a severed appendage or a very deep laceration, the rate at which it heals somewhat slower; a few hours to a few days. While she is able to heal even the most serious injury with time, she is not able to keep death at bay if the injury is bad enough.
Another notable characteristic of the new blood is that it also heals Andrea, to some degree. While her wounds do noticeably close up faster than that of a human, the same healing speed of her blood is lost on her. Whereas she can heal a deep cut within an hour on someone else, it will takes a few days for it to close up and heal fully on herself.
Strengths:
She can heal bullet wounds, stab wounds, paper-cuts, missing limbs, broken bones, ect within a few hours at most, seconds at least.
A blood transfusion with her blood would cause rapid healing from within, all over the patients body. This would also heal any injuries on the inside, that can't be accessed from the outside.
Weaknesses:
She is not able to replenish her own blood supply at an accelerated rate. The more blood she uses to heal, the less she has. It takes her the same amount of time to replenish the lost blood as it would a normal human.
Because of difference in healing ability on self and other people, she is at greater risk of harm befalling her while attempting to heal anyone in combat. Any injuries she takes herself would put her out of the game until her wounds closed.
She cannot heal non-physical wounds, or illnesses such as cancer, viral infections, or blood born diseases. The use of her own blood on others can also put her at risk.
Power Growth 5/2/2020
Growth description:
After massive trauma is inflicted on her, the healing factor of Andrea’s blood-related ability has grown more powerful. Mild and moderate wounds inflicted upon her body are healed almost instantly. Severe wounds take at maximum a few minutes to recover completely. She can regrow lost limbs fully within a few hours.
She is also able to replace lost blood at an accelerated rate.
When her blood is used on other people, the effects are much more potent. Even severe wounds heal up within seconds. Missing organs and lost limbs regrow within minutes. Her blood can cure people of illness and disease when introduced intravenously and can help with symptoms afflicted on the body from viruses, bacteria, and toxins.
She cannot get rid of already healed scars unless they are reopened first.
She is not immortal, even with an increased healing factor. If she loses anything vital to survival it would take too long for her body to try to regrow it. Her system would shut down long before she could fix herself.

History Of Your Character
Andrea was born with an odd tint to her skin, and as she grew older she changed more. Her eyes changed color at three, her skin took on "mossy" patches At six and a half. She had many many doctors visits, until her parents became wary of public attention. She grew up a sheltered, home schooled child. No friends save her mother and Chester, her house cat. As she got older, and her first power appeared, she began to feel alienated from her parents- who in her eyes were perfectly normal. Thoughts were abundant in young Andrea's mind, the most prevalent being that she was adopted. She savored the time she got to spend with her mother once she was off work, and tried to spend time with her dad- often having to sit quietly and watch TV with him before bed. Her father was the least compassionate towards her, and thus spent little time with Andrea as the years passed. after her second power appeared, living under her parents roof became increasingly more difficult. She had over heard many of the conversations her parents held over her being in the house, as well as witnessed the awkward tension that seemed to fill the air whenever she was in the same room with her mother and father. Having dinner together as a family became more and more unbearable, as well as spending time by herself during the day while her parents were at work. Andrea spent her time surfing the internet, trying to find jobs that she could preform from home, as well as answers as to what she was. After reading up on how things were in America, she threw together a make shift plan- She would go to America in search of answers and possible help.

Tired eyes stared down the boring tuna fish sandwich sitting before her. The house was overbearingly quiet, not even the grandfather clock dared to tick. She sighed, her appetite still nonexistent, and poked her finger at the food. Her gloves prevented her from wasting it, she'd probably eat it later anyway. Swiftly Andrea stood from her bar stool and left the counter, grabbing her plate as she made her way back upstairs to her room. The stairs groaned and creaked under her, just as they always had, and each step left a bitter feeling in the bottom of her stomach as they brought her closer and closer to the familiar pink walls of her prison. She stopped in her doorway for a moment, her eyes half lidded as she gazed at the shell of her room. Plastic sheets and synthetic bedding that left her sweaty in the morning. Her bare feet padded across her old, worn carpet before stopping in front of her desk. She dropped the plate carelessly and plopped down into her computer chair, tapping a few keys on her laptop keyboard to bring up her current piece of work.
A spread sheet popped up with paragraph after paragraph of ideas spread across its pages. She eyed it quietly for a moment before she reached and picked up her food, wrapped lovingly within a napkin to keep tuna and mayo from spilling out onto her. Her eyes lifted to gaze out her window at her back yard. She spotted Chester outside sitting at the top of the fence, his eyes focused on something she would never be able to see over the other side of the fence. She envied the cat sometimes, because of all the freedom it had... but more than anything she missed its companionship. Since her little mishap years ago, the feline had refused to come near her. She had tried again and again to renew her pets love, and each time she failed. All she received nowadays was a slitted glared before Chester would bound off to hide in her parents room. As if on cue, the cat turned its attention her way, staring at her coldly for a new moments before he hopped down from the fence and vanished out of sight.
She sighed, taking a bite out of her cold sandwich. The texture was unappetizing, as well as the taste. Maybe the tuna was bad... With a frown, Andrea dropped it back onto the empty plate and crossed her arms over her chest. It was raining just a bit, she noted. Her eyes locking on the small droplets of water as they splattered against her window. It always seemed to be raining lately... probably because of the weather changing to suit the coming fall. In a way, she liked rain and clouds, it made her feel better that at least she wasn't the only one stuck inside, looking out.
(( Modified for a birthday I somehow missed, addition of scars she's earned, her new job, and a few small typos!))

Character's full name: Mother Magdalene. (Previously Andrea Kellis, before she joined the convent.)
Alias/ Nickname/ Codename: N/A
Gender: Female

Birthday: July 3rd
Nationality/ Ethnicity: Greek.
Birthplace/ Home/ Place of origin: Rhodes, Greece
Appearance
Hair color and style: Long, light brown hair.
Eyes: Blue.
Height: 5'3"
Build: Average
Visible mutations: None
Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: None
Other features: N/A
Everyday clothing style: Loose black robe, with a long black veil that covers the sides of her face and hair.
Uniform: Her robes.
Sleepwear: A loose white night shift.
Miscellaneous clothing: A wooden rosary that hangs from around her neck and a small wrist watch to keep track of time.
Character
Personality: Magdalene is a very calm, passionate, loving person. She chooses to always see the good within the people she meets, instead of focusing on the bad. Though she is still young and in training, her god given gift has escalated her position to one above what a normal girl in her position might have been in. She relies heavily on the guidance of her Abbess and priest when they make appearances outside of the church.
Hobbies/ Interests: She once had many, but as since given them up in favor of focusing her energy on her beliefs and duties. She has no time for idle daydreaming with a packed daily schedule. From 2 am in the morning until 8 pm at night, she spends the majority of her day hurrying from one task to another. Personal prayer in the very early morning, Mass a few hours later. Sessions with those looking for the healing touch of god, and those looking to absolve themselves from sin. The only remaining habit she has allowed herself to keep from past life is her love for nature. She visits the church ground gardens quite often and spends any free time she might have out among the plants.
Job or part time job and description: She has devoted her life to serving the church.
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: The fear of god, and the temptation of sin.
Special talents: She has a very sweet singing voice.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Her morality is based strictly upon her convictions. By the good book, if it is said to be a sin she condemns it. That said, however, she does choose to take most passages with a grain of salt.
Mutations
Mutation description: Magdalene has a very powerful healing ability, both for herself and for others. Physical contact with her causes rejuvenation at a cellular level. This can cure basic ailments, as well as more serious conditions. Her own healing factor is always on and generally heals most wounds instantaneously. Some wounds would take longer, in which case she would more than likely retire herself to bed rest until fully healed in order to conserve energy.
Strengths: She can heal the most grievous of injuries or diseased with a single prolonged touch. Smaller injuries are healed instantly. Large wounds, affected areas, or conditions may take more time. She could fully regrow an older, already healed injury such as a missing hand, within a thirty-minute session. If she is able to mediate between sessions she can usually see multiple people in one day, versus trying to focus on one person at a time. Meditation and prayer seem to help her bolster her energy store, enabling her to do more. The power is centralized around whichever area on the body she is currently touching. So if she were touching the hands, any ailments within the hands, wrists and upper forearms would be healed. Anything above that (upper shoulder, chest, neck, etc) would need her to move her hands to those specific areas for the healing touch to take effect.
Weaknesses: The more grievous the injury, the more it takes a toll on her personally. Upon activation of her power by touching another, stigmata start to appear on her body. First smaller wounds appear on around her forehead. Small pricks in the skin that bleed gently. Second and third, wounds appear on her palms and back of the hands, as well as on her upper feet and bottom of her feet. She feels the pain from these wounds as if they has just been inflicted upon her, and has been known to weep tears of blood because of it. Lastly, if she attempts to push herself too far, a deep wound begins to appear on the ribs on her right side.
She has been known to pass out after sessions lasting longer than a half an hour and remained in an unconscious state for up to twelve hours. Typically for cases of severe conditions (cancer, missing limbs, dis-figuration), she breaks apart the healing time into separate sessions. She may meet someone for 15 minutes over the course of a few days to fully grow back an arm, or a few weeks to fully rejuvenate someone from a debilitating condition.
While meditating she spends a lot of time outside. Unbeknownst to her the majority of her energy actually comes from the environment she is in. While outside she has access to a surplus of it from plants, the sun, to the ground beneath her feet. However, a side effect of this is that if she spends too much time away from the elements, she becomes weak and ill. She needs to have access at the very least to a window if not more.

History Of Your Character
She was born as Andrea Kellis, to a small family in a remote part of Rhodes. She had a younger brother, an older sister, a mother and a father. She was raised devoutly Christian, so when it became apparent that she was not a normal child the church was the first place turned to for help.
After witnessing her power himself, It was deemed by a priest that she was an example of divine touch. Shortly after, she spent a brief time at the church with the Priest. Eventually, after learning quite a bit and spending some time on self-reflection, Andrea and the Priest came to the conclusion that it would benefit her to remain with the church in light of her condition.
She spent a few years making regular visits to the church in order to get to know the other members of it and establish herself within its walls. At the tender age of sixteen, she fully embraced her choice, and with her parent's blessing fully left home. It was a big step for her, considering that as soon as she accepted the title her past life was considered gone.
She was effectively dead to her family, friends, and anyone from before. A new name was bestowed on her to welcome her to her new life. Magdalene was born. She was named after Mary, who had once been rife with sins.. but Jesus had cleaned her own them and she had devoured her life to him from there on out.
Life was pretty calm for a few years after that as she went about her daily tasks and duties on a day to day basis. It wasn't until her third year within the church when things started to change. At Mass one morning an elderly man had fallen on his way to sit down. Upon her laying a hand on his back to help him up, his aches and pains had vanished. He felt rejuvenated from within, and when he stood he stood a little straighter.
It was a miracle if he had ever witnessed one. Holy intervention. Though the nun had simply smiled at him without a word, he was left with an inkling that had been because of her. Eventually, rumors spread.... The priest had to address the issue when he encountered people coming in and specifically asking about divine healing. Given that she had been dutiful and genuine in all her endeavors so far, the priest decided to talk with his peers about the issue.
It was soon decided that she would be able to use her power freely. Other members of the church felt that it was a divine gift from god and that they shouldn't covet it so selfishly. Behind the scenes, others had also decided that she would do a lot of good bringing a good image to the church, in order to bring in more followers.
As the years passed her celebrity grew. Word spread throughout the country of the nun who could heal you with a single touch. Many were skeptical. Others were overjoyed by the fact that the church was embracing a mutant, even if they refused to label her as such.
By the time she had earned the title of Mother, she was well known within her community and some parts of the world. Opinions were varied, but it was hard to ignore the fact that she did a lot of good. Her priest and her Abbess were in charge of scheduling outings for her, whether it was local within her community, or outside the walls of her home country.
