He isn't bulky but has a respectable amount of muscle, has not yet reached full maturity. He's not a bad looking kid to say the least.
In gargoyle form his stomach is tucked in more at an angle, giving him an animalistic appearance and his legs form hocks and walks on his toes, which gives him a distinct swaggering walk. His tail is tipped with hair, and about four and a half feet long. Small horns branch off and are slightly curved, and not often used for combat. His skin is also tougher.

Character
Personality:
The first thing that comes to mind to most people when they hear Skyler coming is his rocky sense of humor and loud mouth. He's more bark than bite, and sometimes what he finds funny may irritate others. He always finds commentary for everything and enjoys poking others with teasing. Being the one making jokes about others, he takes them well when people fling muses back. Joking around is his way of 'calming' an unstable situation and relieve the tension between others. When with the group of mutants, he can be considered the comic relief. Although he may come across as boyish and annoying his intentions are always good. Most of the time you'll find that Skyler is upbeat and ready to have a fun time, most anywhere, anytime. Anyone who meets Skyler will quickly notice that he makes a good hang out buddy, a slap on the back friend, and loyal. He doesn't like to be alone, and often seeks attention or somebody to spend time with. He's easy going, and is go with the flow kind of person. Often people that are not in close relationship, or don't know Skyler well, see him as naive or shallow. Although he doesn't show it, Skyler is sensitive, and can make a conversation engaging and deep, showing his gentle and intelligent side. He just doesn't show it often, using his humor and jesting as a way to feel protected. Even though he knows he was created for biological warfare, a weapon, he knows who he is. He tries to be optimistic, and doesn't like to feel sorry for himself. (Watch out, he's a lady's man.) Hobbies/ Interests: Music, guitar, flying. Job or part time job and description: None, yet but hopes to be one of those heroes you watch on TV.
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Laboratories, cramped spaces, and spiders. Special talents: Hooking up with gals and his infamous pick-up lines.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: He’s good to the gut. He just doesn’t take things too seriously, although easily influenced by others.
Mutations
Mutation description: The ability to change into a gargoyle, or obtain gargoyle like properties. (Genetically Made) Strengths: First, he has the ability to fly. He uses his expansive wings for true flight. He can fly for long distances about four hours before growing tired. His wings are designed for multiple advantages. His wings are wide, which save energy from flapping and gliding, and sharply angled for swift turns and dives. His ability to turn to stone is merely skin deep. When frightened or senses danger his skin quickly creates a 3 inch outer crust on the surface of his skin, acting like armor. This reaction is works like a reflex. Although this reaction occurs isolated patches/areas in where the protection is ultimately needed. Although the defense can be easily crumbled it can prevent minor injuries such as puncture wounds, bruising, and cuts. The substance’s strength is equivalent to that of concrete. It can hold up to punches, kicks, but not gun fire. (Ex. He can create an outer layer of stone on his hand if he feels his hand is about to be injured or needs the extra coating to pull a concrete punch) His agility and strength is added by his mutation form. He can evade quickly by running straight-aways, but turning or nimbly maneuvering is more difficult because of his heavy weighted tail. His tougher and somewhat thicker skin also provides him with more warmth and protects him from minor cuts or scrapes.
Weaknesses: Sometimes not aware of his own size or power, and can be reckless or clumsy. The membranes of his wings are about a good half inch thick, although if damaged it slowly heals, and is very painful. The temporary growth of sediment on the skin limits motion in joint areas, or slows his movement down. He is not very proficient at hand to hand combat. He has a weakened left shoulder from a sports accident, after ripping a tendon so the rotating motion is reduced. This weakness is minor though.
Fighting Style
Explanation: Skyler is fairly new to his mutation. His fighting style isn’t professional nor lethal. He is yet to be trained. He basically uses his instincts, but gets by rather well. He is rarely the first to strike. He rather avoid a conflict than battle it out. His first tactic is just t dodge any attacks in hopes that his opponent will waste energy before he goes in for the tackle. Then before long he uses his speed to start inflicting quick jabs perhaps vexing his opponent with frustration. His fighting style is rather mocking as he smoothly evades, and then strikes back when they least expect it. When in full blown combat his claws, teeth and wings come out and the real damage is done. His favorite type of combat is aerial. In the air he is agile and has the pure force of speed and power to overcome his victim. He’s not easy to catch either, making himself a master of tricks and flips.
Pros for fighting style: Increased agility and strength is added to his average teen fitness in mutant form. In human he won’t be able to put up a solid fight. Has advanced flight techniques. Cons for fighting style: Reckless, sometimes sloppy, and not very fast on the ground.
Faction Allegiance Unaffiliated – Living on his own on the streets and with friends but hopes to become apart of the x-men.
History Of Your Character:
Skyler grew up in the rain and wind beaten town of Seattle. He remembers the dreary gray skies, and the fresh Pacific Ocean air, gazing out of two different windows of life. He was once everything he wanted. He had family, school days with band and soccer practices and the laughter of familiar voices of friends. Maybe it was cliché, but drunk drivers seemed to make their appearance in many lives. This time it was his turn, at age 13. Now he would spend a good deal with the orphanage. His uncle was unable to take him in, ironically being a drug addict himself. Hatred grew to a general blame, and neither the orphanage nor he would allow him to live with his uncle Greg. He was then adopted by a man by the name of Jerome Roberts. Little did they know after house inspection and interviews did they know that Jerome was an undercover government scientist, his specialty genetics. Skyler lived with his new dad, Jerome peacefully for a few months. Father and son had bonded, and he could tell Jerome anything, or even just play a game of catch. Life seemed to be picking up. Then the unthinkable struck. Around the same time he hit puberty, he began to complain about joint pains. After many visits for x-rays and therapy the rate of mutations rocketed into the final stage of transformation. Then one morning it happened, he had fully taken on the form of a gargoyle. He jumped out of bed to get help from his adopted father, frightened with his new body. He sprinted into the kitchen. His dad stood in the door way something cocked behind his back, eyes knowing. Skyler grew tense, he must have seen him like this when he was still asleep. Something about his new dad wasn’t right. He took a wary step back and the tranquilizer was fired.
Moments after, he awoke in a back of van. The dosage of sedatives was miscalculated. The driver, his new dad was in the driver’s seat. Skyler broke from the straps and opened up the sliding doors tumbling out to freedom, away from an uncertain end. He did not return home or to the orphanage. They had broken their earned trust, so he’d rough it out on the streets.
Many times he had been let down by”family”, but this was not his last fight, he still had faith in humanity. He wanted to prove to himself that somewhere out there was a second family, waiting for him. To be home.

Sample RP:
It was a shame he never had gotten to go on a cross-country trip with his parents, and now he was doing it alone. Living by himself, feeling excluded from the wet city was getting old. He needed a new beginning. He had heard vaguely of sanctuary for those who didn’t fit in too well with the crowd. It was day six, of flying. His wings were growing increasingly stronger over the trip, his stops now became scarcer, but then again he was growing wearier as the days passed. It was a mind changing experience, seeing all the landscapes. He had flown over the snow capped mountains, plains, forests, deserts, cities, and even had stopped in some isolated, quirky little communities and towns to rest over night. It would have been cooler to spread wings at night, but there was too much to see before he reached his destination, the Big Apple. The sun began to cast a peach and rose colored shadow against the clouds and smog of the city horizon. The sun sank like a shining copper penny beneath the concrete and nearby bay. He had estimated he’d be in New York by tonight, and he was close, really close. Somewhere in the tangled mass of streets, alleys, and sky scrapers might be his new family and home. He decided not to use the maps that looked like it had a plate of spaghetti thrown at it. He would find it himself or ask around. Surely a mutant home wouldn’t be hard to find. He crossed his fingers that his hopes wouldn’t be let down. He made the membrane folds of his wings taught, and he began to descend from the sky cruising along looking for a rather idle street. He passed over Times Square. He had seen nothing like it. The flashing lights and tall colorful buildings took the spotlight of tourist attention. He quickly maneuvered away from the area. Soon he came to a sleepy boulevard, and smoothly landed, jogging to a stop. He took a quick look around, tail undulating behind him as he walked. He pushed open a door to an old fashioned deli. Of course the customers and people behind the counter looked up. That was to be expected as he managed to squeeze his wings through the door, the bell buzzing until he wriggled past the welcome matt. Luckily, no one jumped or panicked. He guessed perhaps with the X-men mansion around, things like this might be somewhat ordinary to the locals. Skyler gave a nervous chuckle, waving his clawed fingers at a few faces. He walked up the counters and leaned forward indicating he wanted to know something.
“Y-yes sir? You need something fly-boy?” asked the man, voice thick with the city’s accent.
“Yeah actually Mr. Meaty, you know anything about the X-mansion? You know where the not-so human peeps chill? I’ve been flying Kimosabe, and I’m tired. Was hoping you might know,” he explained.
“Ah, it’s in the north side of town--”
“Well, could you be more specific than that?”
“I wasn’t finished…it’s parallel to 14th Street. Follow to main drag 25 until you get to the Bellerose. It’s in that area, shouldn’t be hard to miss. I heard it’s a huge private property mansion,” answered the butcher, offering a hard smile.
“Thanks bub, owe yah one,” he replied mocking his NY accent.
He took to the skies again by now the airy canvas was painted indigo, and he wanted to find the X-mansion before it was late. He flew directly over the highway, and then circled around looking for 14th Street in hopes of finding it. At last his eyes set on the property. His jaw dropped at the sight of the size of the place and the pool and basketball courts. This was ten times better than that cramped little orphanage. Although he new he would need to gain privileged to live there. It was a responsibility. He spotted the iron gates, but those were for land-lubbers. He glided above the front lawn just getting a taste for what might be his. Then the security system figured he was an Unidentified Flying Object. Small laser canons unfolded from the innocent looking statues and bird baths, and fired red sparks. One had hit him directly in the side, and he let out a startled screech sending him off balance. He teetered and burst into a bedroom window. The glass shattered under his weight sending shards flying as he made a crash landing onto the floor. Skyler tumbled and rolled coming abruptly to a stop when he made contact with a desk, knocking that over as well. He laid there for a moment, cursing under his breath before he slowly got up. He quickly looked himself over, luckily there were no cuts, the glass hadn’t penetrated his skin. He looked around and cringed feeling his stomach churn with guilt at the damage done to the room.
“Honey, I’m home…” he said aloud, feeling antsy for his next brilliant move. He looked franticly around, he picked up the desk back on its legs and put the lamp back…it still looked like a tornado hit. He looked out the hole in the wall, trying to decide whether he should do a hit and run. Although those types of games tended come back and bite you in the butt. This was going to be one terrible first impression. He folded his wings, listening to what might be out in the hallway. He wondered if anyone had heard the clatter. He grabbed his hair with his clawed fingers, knees locked with the feeling of certain doom.
