The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

A yellow taxi cab pulled up and a young women stepped out. She was about 5'7, and attractive. As Evie paid the cab driver , she kept focasing what had happened the day before. She recalled the anger that overwhelmed her on that unforgettable day the day were she discovered that she wouldn't be accepted in the human world. As she stepped to the gate she checked the number on the wall making sure it mached the same number on the peice of paper that her mother had given to her. Her fingers ran over the numbers again and a again. Finally she stepped towards the door. Evie had mixed emotions. Thoughts kept racing threw her mind, she didn't know if she would be axcepted here, she also started thinking is there anyone in the world with her power, or if anyone knew if she could be normal again. As she stepped towards the gate her fingers quivered as they came closer to the door bell, she was hesistant as she did know what was to come.Never the less she went through with it. She stepped back and waited for a response
Raphael came jogging along the front wall. He was feeling better, the jog was helping him get back to feeling like he used to. He almost jogged right past the young woman at the gate apparently waiting for someone. He stopped and backed up and turned towards her, jogging in place.
"Evening," he said. Then stopped jogging and took a couple deep breaths to catch his breath. He then spoke again, "Can I help you Miss?"

Evie turned around to see young man around 18, she didn't really know what to do since she hadn't spoken a word to anyone since her father. Finnally she let a couple of words stumble out of her mouth. "Yes I'm looking for a way in, I just got here." she had no idea what this guy was gonna think of her. Evie felt like back home no one would accept her, but this was a new place, where nobody knows what had happened with her father or that furious parent. She thought maybe people would just like her for who she was not what she can do.
Raphael watched her for a moment as she apparently sought the words to speak. He did not think it was all that difficult of a question, and she did not exactly look foreign and in need of figuring out the English equivilant of a word.
He nodded some, then pulled the gate open. "Welcome." He stated, and held his hand out towards her. He decided that his daily jog was over, at least for now. "I'm Raphael. What brings you here? And what's your name?"
He already figured she was a mutant of some sort, though she did not outwardly show it. Not that his mutation was exactly obvious... if it had been he might not have had the accident that exiled him from his original home.
He pushed the gate closed after she had walked through.

"Thank you." She replied to the welcome. Her hand grasped his in a hand shake and she spoke again, "My name is Evie and my mother got something from this school and told me that I should come and check it out." A feeling of relief rushed over Evie as she heard, for the first time in a while, a calm voice that was not filled with hatred and disgust. However, she did feel dumb for her delays on her answers, she just felt like she needed to revise what she was to say before she said it, for fear that she would say something wrong. "This is the school for mutants, right?" She asked, she knew that she had quadrouple checked that this was the place, but not harm in quintouple checking...right?
Raphael nodded and turned to walk towards the mansion, waving her to walk with him.
"Yeah, you've the right place. This is a bustling place for mutants. Some more friendly than others. I'd fall into the former of those two groups." He stated, and rolled his shoulders some. He was still getting used to the literal weight on his shoulders. He raised his arms above his head and stretched, then looked over at her and said. "I am going to go out on a limb here and assume you'ra mutant and tha's why yer here. Right?"
He did not even really wait for an answer before saying. "You're attabout the best place for mutants. Most people here are very accepting, and even helpful. I've heard that some are even trained to use their mutations better... I'd not fall into that group, my mutation is instinctual... well, one is." He forced a smile, and watched her. "But enough 'bout me. Tell me a little bit about you."

A smile scuttered across her face and she followed. OK, good, so she was definately at the right place. "You're correct, I am a mutant, my mutation is gravitational pull, and I can't like pull people from left to right, it's only up and down. I can manipulate how much the earth's core pulls on an object or a person and can sometimes pull something down into the earth, but only by a couple of feet." It was the first time that Evie was able to tell someone about her power without the fear of being hated. It was a good feeling.
"So what can you do?" She asked, wishing not to talk much about her power because it has caused her so much pain in the past.
Raphael opened his mouth, then snapped it shut. He almost blurted out 'hurt people' since that was what he could do. And what he could do efficiently, and increasingly so. Given his aptitude for combat, and the work the scientists had done on him, he felt more combat savvy.
"I heal fast, and see souls, when I choose to try." He said, listing the less dangerous of his three mutation types. "And one other thing, though those are easier to show than describe." He stated, though without much intention of revealing his elbow blades without her asking to see them. Even he was still getting used to them himself... they were different since the scientists worked on him, silvery instead of bone white.

Eldwyn had been walking around the grounds enjoying the fresh air, when walked around the corner of the mansion and saw a young lady walk through the gates with a young man closing them. "Hmm, someone new?" He had already seen a few new people come to live here, since he arrived a week ago. "I haven't really met anyone other than Millie and Miss.Tricity..." As he trailed off, he walked over to the two.
His trench coat was unbuttoned and hung open catching the breeze as he walked. Waving at the two, "Good evening. Lovely day, no?" His smile was friendly and polite. He stopped to the left of the young man.

Evie smirked as raphael was talking, when he was done she didn't know what to say. Evie didn't know if she should say awesome or wow. The only thing that she said was "cool". Evie felt stupid answering questions with such short answers. "Do you like having that power?" but before she could ask him the rest of the question, another boy came walking up to Evie and Raphael. She glanced up from the ground and said "Hi, yeah, it's a gorgeous day."
Raphael nodded to Eldwyn as he walked up. "Very beautiful day," he agreed. "Don't believe we've met, Raphael." He held his hand out towards the other young man as they walked towards the front door to the mansion. "And this is Evie, was about to take her to visit with Miss Tricity."
He cast a sidelong glance to the young woman beside him. "Lest you've got an objection to it." He directed the almost question to her. "Though you'll have to meet the Mistress of the mansion sooner or later." He stopped by the door and looked at his pair of companions, then pulled the door open and held it for them to go into the front hall.
Fade was making her way up the stairs with the new guy when she heard someone enter the mansion. Quietly, she turned around as curiousity made her do so and saw the three now where she had heard the noise. A smile formed on her lips and she stopped on the stairs. << More new people, two, and Raph. >> "It seems like we're the new welcoming committee, huh, Raph?" She smiled, looking back and forth between the three of them.
Raphael looked up at Fade and smiled some, it felt like his first smile since well before getting captured and taken to the research facility. "Something like that, Jenny." He looked to the pair, then back. "Umm... Miss Tricity's room is on the second floor... she's gotta sign on it, hard to miss." He really wanted to go chat with someone he felt... at home with, and comfortable with.
He left the pair by the door and started to sprint up the stairs, then found himself soon out of breath, not having worked his stamina back to where it was before a hundred pounds of metal was added to his body, and walked the rest of the stairs till he stood next to Fade. "Hey." he said in a second greeting.

Evie was listening to the small chit chat going on between rapheal and the stranger. All of a sudden she herd a name mentioned Miss someone. "Who exactly is um, Miss, uh, I forget her name?" While Evie was waiting for a response, another unfamiliar person was walking down the stairs. Evie was looking at this young women. As she started talking Evie thought she was talking to her. When she relized that she wasn't she just listened to what she was saying. "Hi my name is Evie i just got in"
Her smile grew as she saw him smile and sprint up the stairs. Her gaze moved to his eyes and she replied "Hey" right back. "How's the extra weight?" She asked, seeing that he had quite a bit of difficulty getting up the stairs and breathing normally now that he was up. Then again, if she had that much weight added onto her, she wouldn't have fun with stairs either.
She looked down at the new girl and smiled. "Welcome to the mansion." She smiled. "My name is Fade, but my real name is Jenny. Pick whichever one you want to call me, and I'll be fine with it." How about Mike goes with you and the other. I'm sorry, I don't know who you are." She said, looking at Eldwyn.
