The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Colorado weather is interesting, it never stays the same. Like bipolar weather." She smiled, she had seen a blizzard in every month but june. When she saw him close the door again, she became curious and moved her head to try and see around him. "Private-like? Oh, of course." She looked back at Eldwyn and put the kitchen out of her mind.
"Library, that sounds good. You like to read?" She asked. Evie herself had never really been one to read, but on occasion, she would find a book with an interesting cover, read the summary, and if she is still intrigued, she would begin reading. In some cases, she would actually get sucked in and read the whole thing, but only when the book wasn't assigned for homework.

'Like bipolar weather.'
He laughed aloud at that. 'She's deffinantly interesting.' He thought to himself. Looking back at the kitchen door, "Half of me wants to stay and listen, the other half says no, it'd be rude." He began his wask out of the room with Evie. "I love to read. I haven't watched a movie or tv in two or more years, but I've read a lot of books." He looked at her and smiled. "It's probably my favorite thing to do," He paused and smiled brighter, "Next to playing my violin that is. What about you?"
Down a hall toward the back of the mansion, they reached a pair of doors. "Here it is.." He opened the double doors and walked in. The library was very large, two stories high. Two staircases on either side of the room lead up to the second floor balconly. The balconly floor is made of thick plexiglass with tasetfull looking steel beems. In the middle of the balcony and under it on the first floor is a 20ft diamiter capeted area with couches, chairs, coffee and end tables, with reading lights. The first floor has large bay windows to capture the light. Many rows of bookshelves filled the 1st and 2nd floors without cluttering it. On the right side of the room near the corner closest to the doorway was a series of computers. A few of them were electronic catalogs, while the others were normal computers. All of them were hooked up to the two printers in the corner of the room. Eligant ceiling lights cast a soft glow apon the room, bright enough to easily and safely read without being overly bright to be be annoying. Soft tranquil music played throughout the library. In the corner opposite the computers was the library clirk's desk, where you check in/out books, or get help finding a certain book.
"I have to say, this is my favorite room here so far." Eldwyn said. "Have any certain type of book you like to read?"

"Oh, I know what you mean." She smiled when he talked about eavesdropping. "So you play the violin? Wow, I used to play the piano when I was little but I was never really the musical one."
They entered the room and she just couldn't help but let her eyes open wide. It was a big and very nice room. However, she focused back on what Eldwyn had said and looked back at him. "Books, I don't know, I've gotten into the generation that reading is not nearly done as much as watching tv. You know? But I do read, on occasion. I enjoy mystery and fantasy. You know, the whole concept of having NO idea what is going to happen next or having a small description of a supernatural being just makes the story more exciting. I just started reading 'The Magic Castle', which is about a bnoy with Multiple Personality Disorder. So the boy and his eight other personalities are trying to get used to eachother and adapt. I like it." She shrugged with a smile. "What about you?"

"Ya don't say. If you pick up the piano again, I'd be happy to play along with you." Smiling at her, "Get a few more people and we could have our own little orchestra(sp)."
He watched her eyes go wide and smiled. 'I've gotten into the generation that reading is not nearly done as much as watching tv.' He nodded and made a little 'hmm' sound of understanding
"There's nothing wrong with watchin tv. I understand completely about mystery and fantasy. The Magic Castle sounds like a fun read. Even if a bit confusing." He laughed lightly, "I think I'd make notes just so I could keep up with all of those personalities."
"Myself, hmm. Fantasy, sci-fi, some mystery, suspence, I can read some romantic-ish stuff, usually only if it's mixed with something else. Basicly in that order. Right now I'm reading The Vampire Lestat, part of the Vampire Chronicles."

She let out a small chuckle when he mentioned making an orchestra. "Yeah, the personalities are difficult to distinguish, but then again, I have no idea how many personalities he's discovered yet, he doesn't know he has MPD yet. So I'll update you when I get further in my book.
"Oh, I've heard about those Lestat books, or maybe not. I saw a movie, I think it was Queen of the Damned and it had a Lestat, played by Stuart Townsend I think. How is that? I've always taken a liking to vampire books, but I just never really mentioned it at my old school." She shrugged, her 'group' was the popular cheerleaders that did not hang out with emos, goths, or punks and thus did not read any dark books nor did they watch any dark/rebellious shows, or so they were supposed to do. Evie never followed the rules, at least not when people were not watching.

"Hehe, I'll look forward to the update."
'I've always taken a liking to vampire books,'
"Got a bit of a darkside to you huh?" He gave her a bit of a sly grin. "Lestat was in Queen of the damned, though they changed some things about him in the movie. He was also in Interview With the Vampire." Thinking for a moment, "I have to say, I love the books so much more than the movies. A much better sense of the characters. So far in Lestat, not too much has happened, just the begining of his life and his first night of his un-life." Smiling to her, "Tell ya what, when you finish yours, and I mine, lets swap. If you want to read the first book, Interview, I'll let you borrow that as well, I think you might like Louis."
"Well, what's say we head back upstairs? I know I'm giving you a tour, but since you'll be living here with us, I think I should leave the rest of the place for you to explore and descover yourself." He smiled brightly. He began to head out when a thought came to his head, "Umm, just currious, but why didn't say say anything about liking vampire books and the like at your old school?"
