The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

well...to shorten it...i had a stone when i was younger that can control mutants. i was supposed to deliver it to someone, but i was mugged. that night i found out about my powers and ran home because i was scared...with the stone. my former boss, after all these, years came to get the stone before the first mansion was destroyed. he threatened the kids, kidnapped me, and got the stone. the other night, weapon 0 came to the mansion to find the stone, raiding the house. when they found out i didnt have it, they left... *she said remembering what happened.* oh, weapon 0 is a corporation that does experiments on mutants...
"Yea, and before them there was Weapon X. Which did the same thing basically. Problem was they kidnapped her and a few other. That didnt sit well with me as Im sure you would imagine. I played rescue team and all that but I forgot my bike there so I had Tricity here bring me back to get it. Im wondering if some of them survived and built the new one." Orion explained trying to sum things up real quick.
"Easy, old friend. Calm your fury." Orion put his hand up. "They will pay for their actions, in good time. Meanwhile I suggest we work on keeping your spirit in check. Xavier helped me with mine. If you recall I used to have the same problem. Maybe not as difficult as yours but a similar problem none the less. Lets keep walking while we chat shall we?" Orion indicated down the path further into the woods.
Walking the path Orion, Ire, Tricity and Archon chatted about the past the future and different ways to make Ire feel more at home. Orion suggested ertecting a replica of Ires small castle somewhere. Tricity suggested taking up teaching at the mansion. A class like swordsmanship or even survival skills. Ire seemed to mull these over in his head for a bit. Although he never gave a definate answer, Orion could tell he wasnt sure that he should even stay here. That is when Orion stopped and looked Ire in the eye. "Although we come from a time that is now in history books and stir up legends of mans great past, we cannot forget who and what we are. In this new time our mettel will be tested like never before. Even if you chose not to stay with us here and fight for equal treatment and maybe in the future even rulership, I do hope that we do not meet on the battlefield as enemies, my brother. I do not think your heart will let your hand slay mine. As mine would not let me slay yours. In our past many men lay broken and beheaded slain to our powewrful hands. That was customary in our time. The strong survived. Today it is not the strong surviving but the powerful. Those who convince others to follow. Those who have vast intellect and quick with words. It is no longer about who has slain who. We may still live by the sword and the honor of a mans word, but noone else does.
Even Chaos slips now and then. We neednt however swell with pride at this. In this time, we are the criminals, we are the bandits and raiders. Mans eye has changed with time and now looks upon death with much fear. Religion is no longer powerful amoung the throngs and legions of powerful men and women." Ire looked at him funny. Orion interrpreted the look correctly. "Yes Ire, women such as the one you walk next to, have become very powerful in this day and age." Tricity seemed proud of this fact. A feeling Ire didnt miss but chose to bow his head to in respect. She bowed back in mutual respect.
Orion smiled wide. "You see, old friend you are already starting to accept the changes of this new time. Even though I cannot imagine how strange and difficult this must be to you because I actually lived through the ages, I can give you this bit of advice though. Those that you have trusted in the past are still here. Their faces may have changed but their loyalties lie in the same deep love for each other that you and I had once upon a time." They had started walking again as Orion babbled on. Tricity was hoping he wasnt talking too much at Ire, but he did seem to be making sense to them both. Archon walked quietly by their side. He seemed to sense that it was not a good time to go run off or be playful. This however did not stop his nose from inspecting everything they passed. Orions long winded speech was not lost on Ire for he had become used to them. Orion was often the orator during negotiations with nobility.
Ire felt that these men didnt have the honor that they supposedly posessed, but they paid well and Orion seemed to have a knack for getting the money they needed from whomever summoned them for their services. In time Ire saw what most men didnt see when they met Orion. Ire saw the scholar and the crafty use of words to get what he wanted. Most men only saw his size and paid him respect for nothing but his size and strength. Ire himself was not given much respect for he was an assasin and it seemed men thoughtt of him as nothing but a tool. Ire could remember many nights when the two sat by the fireside and exchanged writings and thought. Tales of daring do, and ingenious traps and strategies. Tricity contributed to this as well. She worried that her tales wouldnt have an impact comparing to the days of old.
This didnt seem to occur to either Ire or Orion. Both paid rapt attention when she spoke and congratulated her on her various victories and were generally impressed at her cool use of logic and common sense. She too had been misjudged because of her looks. Many men assumed she was just a body and nothing more. Some had even tried to make her feel foolish during the past. She didnt have any of it. Her tales of catching men in lies and living on her own in the city were definatly worthy of an audience. Smiles played their way across all of their faces during the stories. Laughter at times even echoed through the woods.
Orion could tell Tricity was definatly beginning to like Ire. They chatted like old friends, even teasing each other. Tricity at one point mentioned that Ire could use a pet of his own. Orion agreed saying it might help curb his lonesomness. Ire claimed hed thought of that and wondered what type of animal would suit him best. If Ire knew he wasnt telling, so they started to come up with different animals that reminded them of Ire himself. Orion at one point came up with a mongoose. Ire and Tricity looked at him weird. Orion tried to explain his logic behind the thought but they all just laughed at it and picked on him for it. By now they were deep in the woods and they were all hungry.
Orion suggested they all go hunting. Tricity didnt seem to keen on the idea. She said she didnt like killing animals. Orion told her that hed be happy to get enough for her too. She declined and said shed take Archon to the mansion to start lunch for the kids anyway. Orion started to say hed go with her but she told him to have fun with Ire and just call her at some point if not stop by the mansion itself. He smiled, gave her a kiss, and promised he would. She called to Archon and he trotted happily toward her as she headed back down the path they all had just came.
Orion turned to Ire. "Shall we?" he asked. Ire nodded and disapeared in a cloud of shadows. Grinning, Orion climbned his way up a large tree and began to make his way from tree to tree to find a spot where he could perch from and see his prey. Once he found the site he occasionally saw Ires tell tale shadow. He grinned again as he knew Ire still hunted the same way.Orion settled himself into a nook of the tree and waited. Using his sword he cut a long branch from the tree and sharpened the end of it. This hed use for hunting. It was difficult to use a sword unless you could become invisible. It seemed Ire too had taken up a weapon other than his swords. Orion couldnt see where exactly he was but he sensed that he wasnt far away at all. Soon a large buck came grazing into their sight. Orion could almost smell Ires anticipation. Orion grinned and just watched and waited. If Ire was this anxious about a hunt maybe Orion didnt need to do anything but watch and cook it. This was tradition. The successful hunter did not cook his own meals when the two of them had been together.
Hearing the woosh of a cloak Orion looked for signs of Ires shadows, but saw none. The buck however heard something, for it raised its head quickly and began to look around and listen intently. Orion wondered if Ire was going to do this kill with no assist. Orion figured it would help to curb the blood lust to have to work harder at your meal. As Orion kept a keen eye on the forest floow he spotted Ires blade poking about the brush thirty yards form where the buck was standing.

The buck fell dead before it knew it had been struck. Ire stood above the animal with a smile upon his face. He sheathed his swords and knelt down near the fallen animal.
“Orion, shall I do the skinning or will you? Just keep in mind you must cook it.”
"I do remember the old traditions my friend but I think it would be best if you skinned it my skinning technique is rusty." Orion said as he leapt from the tree. He landed with a thud on the ground. Ire grinned behind his mask. His old friend never could be quiet about anything. Orion ambled up to him and patted him on the shoulder. "Good clean kill, my friend." he said as he began to look around for wood for a fire.

Ire reached down to his right boot and retrieved a small skinning knife. He had always carried it with him just incase. After Ire broke through the first layer of skin it wasn't long before he had the buck strung in a tree. This way the blood could drain out before they cooked it. Orion always smiled at the sight.
By the time Ire had the buck skinned and hanging to drain, Orion had a roaring fire going and a spit ready to roast on. Walking back into the clearing Orion dumped a large load of logs beside the fire. Smiling at the site of dinner, Orion asked his frirnd how he liked his meat cause he had sort of forgotten.
Orion could now remember what his friend liked in his meat too. Nodding to Ire he meandered off in search of seasoning plants. Soon he returned with a couple diffferent kinds and set to work. By now the buck had been drained and Orion hefted it and skewered it. The weight of the great animal caused the spit to bow. Orion knew it would hold but grinned anyway. Every couple minutes he rotated it. Meanwhile Orion shredded the seasonings and sprinkled them over the meat. Ire had sat upon the ground and was cleaning his blades with the cleansing cloth he always carried in a small side pocket. Orion began to focus on the meat now as it was sizzling lightly.

After his blades were clean Ire sat back and enjoyed the surroundings. The darkening sky made Ire feel more comfortable and the fire was all the better to sit by. Orion continued to cook the buck with great technique, he was always good at cooking.
Occasionally Orion would slice a hole into the meat to see if it was cooked or not and then finding it not to his liking he too set about cleaning his blades. Ire commented on how many Orion always carried on him. Orion smiled and looked at Ire across the fire. The firelight lit up his face just like back in the day. Loving the feeling of being out here with Ire again he spoke. "My friend, in this day and age I have found that concealed weapons are best versus the obvious. A skilled man with a blade can do so much mor than a skilled man with a gun. Orion looked around him and sniffed deeply. If he didnt know better hed swear he was back in the olden times with Ire. Out on a hunt for weeks at a time and just stopping for some food, and rest before persuing on.

Ire knew Orion could feel the familiarity of the night. There was nothing like the week long hunts. It was just the two of them with nothing but their trusted blades and wits. Every night back then they never failed to eat well, there was nothing quicker then Ire and nothing stronger the Orion. If only it were old times.
