Ire didn't miss what he thought to be a threat.
"Orion I can promise nothing, every minute the hunger grows inside. These humans seem so inferior to us, why not dispose of them."
He thought about what he had just said for a moment and denied it was true to himself. But that’s how it seemed.

Orion sighed and dropped his shoulders. "Yea, I know what you mean. Like you said, though these are different time and we have to change with the times. Those of us who live by the sword need to become stealthy about it if you will." Orion explained as he lifted a large log out of their path.

Ire understood what Orion was saying but he didn't want to give up the old ways.
"I guess I just have a lot of learning to do."
He looked to the trees around and thought of how he missed his home.
"I don't belong here." He stated dryly

"You think beings such as me and Chaos do? We live our own way with our own methods, and beliefs. Problem is we're stuck here, with no way back. So that being said what are you gonna do now?" Orion said he too now looking around them into the trees of the forest imagining himself back in the Old Days.

Ire spun the question about in his head.
"I don't know what to do, that’s one of my biggest problems. I wish not to change. In the old times I killed when I felt the need whether it be for money or just the simple thrill of it all, mercy is a weakness and I don't think I can show the inhabitants of this time that.”

"As time continues its relentless march upon our world, it finds those of us who have been given very difficult tasks of changing with time. This is how we are measured as men. With our ability to evolve and compensate, and survive. Thats what we do, Ire we survive and flourish no matter what the situation is." Orion had now started playing with his hunting blde absent mindedly while staring off into the distance stil remembering the past.

"This is truly the hardest task. Perhaps I'll make it. either way I'll adapt."
Ire did not miss Orion's distance. He knew he was lost in the past.
"Wonderful times weren't they?"

Still staring unblinking into the past he nodded and told a tale of one of his quests. Full of danger and survival tricks. He told of how he wrot many many deaths and looted many nobles castles. He seemed to be reliving the past all of a sudden. Something he hadnt done in many many years. Missing the past his eyes clouded over as he told the tale.

Ire had a mist come to his eyes as the story was told. It was so far away, he needed it back.
"Its too bad things couldn't be like that now. It angers me so."
Ire clinched his fist and felt sorrow grow inside.

"Aye, lad. Sometimes I feel the same way. Like I said the worst times I go hunt. I go survive in the wilderness on week long hunts, to quell that blood lust. People dont really care too much about the wildlife yet, but you will occasionally find an extremist." The woods seemed to unleash the and allow them to recall things they had forgotten long ago. It was a most gratifying sense.

"A hunt out here sounds like a good idea, I think I'll give it a try. Thanks friend for helping in this strange time."
Ire put out his hand and awaited the old shake.

Orion didnt remember the old shake, but it seemed his hands did. They performed it flawlessly as if they had done it yesterday. They said their goodbyes and then Ire disapeared in shadow and Orion used order to walk across the pond back toward his cave, to go for a ride onone of the bikes to clear his head again.

Ire returned to his pond and took a seat at the waters edge. What a battle that was, It was probably the most exciting battle he had ever been in. For now his thirst for blood was satisfied. But it was not yet night and who knows what might come up. Ire settled himself to the ground and fell fast asleep thinking of the battle.

Ire lay at the pond deep in sleep. His mind was enthralled in a torrent of dreaming. He was back in his own time and was on his way to see an old friend for help. Ire's body stood of it's own accord and set out to find his friend.

Ire had made his way back to his pond the night after the discussion in Orion’s cave. A lot had been on his mind that night, he had let so much be known of himself. The darkness nearly let loose in Orion's cave but he had to tell the story. Now he awoke with a tingle in the back of his head. Now standing, Ire made his way toward the mansion.
